The box is kinda beat up, and I probably overpaid, but I have never seen a non-Players' Choice box for this game... I didn't even know one existed.

This was the extent of my flea market finds today. Barely any booths were set up.
I started digging through some CDs at one booth, the sealed Toshiba recovery CD set (with Vista!) was first, then I found the Family Guy Season 2 disc 2, and then The PS3 System Software Update Ver. 2.0. They were all $1 a piece. Going out of the booth I saw the Futurama disc, which is actually volume 1 disc 1, and that was also $1.
360 controller was $3. I hope it works. The same booth had some decent games, and all DVDs/games were $2 there. I spotted FFXII for PS2 and CoD4: Modern Warfare for Xbox 360, but when I looked in the cases the games weren't there :(. They had 2 of the BK Xbox games (Sneak King and the one I got). I already own Sneak King and another, but I couldn't remember which one I needed, so I just decided to buy Big Bumpin' anyway. Hey, it was only $2.
The lonely Datona R-Zone game was $1. It's brand new and all and I'm a sucker for shitty game stuff LOL I wonder if that kid on the front of the package was held at gunpoint or something. There's no way you could be having that much fun with an R-Zone.
Finally the Atari Flashback 7800 mini was a mere $1.
The Futurama and Family Guy disc are for sale, a few buck each. If anybody needs those replacements let me know. The Toshiba Satellite discs are going to eBay, where I expect close to $40 for it.
What's up with this PS3 disc? Was it a pack-in or something? It says "NOT FOR SALE" so I dunno.

Not much luck lately, although I've been happy with some of the sales I've made, so the game goes on. Today I did get a nice little NES lot of CL for $60. I mostly got it for the Vaus controller, which I've been wanting for a while. I figure I should about break even on all this and get to keep the Vaus, or maybe make a little, too. I also add Rampart and several manuals to the collection.
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/finds206.jpg
No manual for Rampart, and oddly no Captain Skyhawk game. No other real games of note, but the usual SMB3, MT Punch Out!!, Mega Man 4, and other commons.

The sticker on the vaus controller is from the offiicial nintendo player's guide (black book) if you were wondering.

I have a couple copies of that book, but somehow didn't know it came with stickers. Cool! Also, this lot did come with that player's guide, although it is pretty much unrecognizable. No cover, and it has been ripped into at least a dozen different sections.

its pretty tough to find with the stickers in tact, they were packed in the very back on the bottom (i've been trying to find one with the stickers for years) I used my originals on my "password" notebook that I still have, but would be nice to have them still on the sheet.

Yeah, non players choice CIB mario worlds go for right around the $50 range last I checked. At least for good condition ones. They're pretty tough to find.

This is an accumulation of 3 months or so of finds. The holidays really depleted game supplies at the thrifts and used game stores, so decent finds are few and far between. Spent a little more than I normally would on a couple, but I'll get over it.

The miracle piano was a great find, although I don't know what I'm going to do with it. T-Mek and Jurassic Park are also tougher to find, so I was happy when I saw those. I've been looking for a copy of Mario Bros for a few years now in the wild, so I grudgingly shelled out $10 for it. I'll probably find a copy for $2 next week, that is if luck has taught me anything.

It's a little ridiculous. As far as I know it's not really considered a must own title of the NES. I've been looking for it because I've been on an arcade kick. One thing that irritates me about the game store where I purchased it is that they apparently take sandpaper to the contacts in order to get the games to work. I found this out when I went to take it apart for a cleaning. Not cool.

Today was my best find in a while... The Persona 1 PS1 Strategy Guide for $10. I also picked up a Vanguard Bandits, awesome condition, except when the person traded it in they put the Lunar 2 Making Of Disc instead of the Lunar 2 Demo in the case. That was $40.
EDIT: I was just looking on ebay and the Lunar 2 Demo went for $15ish and Vangaurd Bandits is going for around $40 complete with Lunar. I might just return it tomorrow, for store credit, since the store I got it from doesn't give Cash/Credit refunds.... *sigh*

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office BustYou know, even though I willingly subject myself to bad games, I wouldn't go near that one unless I got a free copy. And even then, I'd hesitate.
Did you pay for it?
Condemned: Criminal Origins $7
Gears of War $9
Perfect Dark Zero Collector's Edition $4 (I don't care what anyone says, I'm enjoying it).
..I also got my 360 with a wireless controller for $140. It was the last unit with an HDMI port so I snapped it up before anyone else got a chance.

I lucked out when I got my loose copy from Funcoland. It had been misstickered as Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt instead of Mario Bros. so I got it for 29 cents! Score!

Some people on vbender requested pics of the Goodwill dock/back lot sale that I go to, so I decided this was perhaps the best place to put them (it).
It was terribly freezing, that and they actually have cameras for sale from time to time, and I didn't want anybody to think I was stealing something by mysteriously putting a camera in my coat pocket. Who would want to take pictures of this, right?
Anyways, the area that I usually find computer games/video games/game systems I call the "media" area. It's located right below the window on the white building on the left. In that area they cart in these giant wheeled bins full of audio cassettes, VHSs, records, 8-tracks, CDs, and the occasional reel-to-reel. The metal bin things in the middle are full of misc, the cardboard boxes on the left are full of purses and stuffed animals, sometimes electronics. The giant cardboard boxes closest to me in the picture are usually filled with electronics, and they run about 5 boxes long, and in 2 rows (10 boxes total). They are usually full of old crappy broken vaccum cleaners and corded phones, but at the bottom of them you can usually find some cool stuff.
Today was different, though. The city dump was closed today because of the large amount of rain we had in the past few days, because of that the Goodwill employees were unable to remove the junk from last thursday and the same crap was left.
I left the sale empty-handed, but on a normal day I would've stayed longer and gotten more pics, and I will on thursday if anybody's curious for pics of the insides of the boxes and of the rest of the place.
EDIT:
I'd like to add, there's a Goodwill in Austin, TX that does this sell as well. Their sale runs every day, except for Sunday, and every day they haul in fresh goods. (Mine brings in stuff on tues and thurs) Since Austin is sooo much larger than Waco I'd expect a sale at least twice the size of this one O_o.
Oooh, wait. I did get Skate or Die 2 for $1.99 at another Goodwill this morning. Minor finds FTW!!!

Agreed. I love seeing the environments in pictures. They help tell the story of the finds and give us hope that we'll be able to find something on our next trip :)
Being able to afford the finds...that's another story in itself. I'm waiting on a copy of Snatcher to arrive that I purchased for $85. I tried getting Space Adventure, but people have been bidding like crazy on that lately.

Wow, my area has one of those too, but it's about 700% more filthy. There is stuff stacked up literally 10 feet in the air. Garbage everywhere. Moldy records. It is bad. I could take pics, but my camera flash would send the rats scurrying everywhere, and no one wants that.

Alright, calm down everyone.
I have never filed a claim before on Amazon, but it had a very generic description from a large seller, so I am a bit nervous about it. Said it comes with original, box, disc and manual. No description on the condition of anything other than very good and the fact that Bonk's Adventure isn't a disc makes me think it is just a generic copy - paste that they put on every listing.
I'm not trying to screw him over, and am not going to file a claim unless it comes cart only or in horrible condition. And I will talk to the seller first about it and see if we can work it out. If they are willing I will return the item. should have worded that better.
Also, fuck you sailorneorune, quit following me around everywhere just to be a bitch. you are a giant hypocrite and one of the biggest assholes i have ever talked to. again, fuck you and leave me alone.

I got a bit of cabin fever and had to get out of the house tonight. So I went to a Play N Trade and a few Movie Trading Company stores. I bought the Sega Master System version of Gain Ground at Play N' Trade for less than $3 after tax. After I got to my car I looked it up on my iPod Touch's game rarity app and it wasn't listed. I looked it up here, and apparently it wasn't released in the US. Cool, an import! At a Movie Trading Company I picked up Insector X and that Genesis controller that looks oddly like a SNES controller. They also had an NES controller shaped like a Genesis controller, but I didn't bother getting it.

I know I am probably going to get grilled for this because I am so new but what is with all the arguing on this thread? I come on here and try to see what new finds community members have picked it up and all I see are people arguing with one another, it's getting pretty ridiculous. Why can't people just post and comment on the finds and leave it at that. That's my opinion and I know it doesn't really matter but it is a big distraction for new members who are trying to become active in the community.
Anyway, I was able to make a small find today, I got Earthworm Jim 1 & 2, and BlackThorne for the SNES today for $10.00.

I gots some things this week too.
Sim Earth, Sherlock Holmes Vol 2 from DreamTR, and one of those Langrisser 2 repros that Bratwurst made awhile back. I missed my chance to get one the last time, I'm happy that I was able to pick one up now. Also, got a few more of those big black CDs with the grooves in them last weekend.

In any case...moving on.
My copy of Snatcher came in last night. That brings me down to only 3 R6s left for Sega CD, and the rest of the collection will be simple to complete after that. I've got Keio and Snatcher out of the way :) It will be nice to finally complete a collection, instead of being ~10-15 away for a few of them (looking at you Jaguar, Jaguar CD, 7800 and 32X).
Also, for a nice little story:
A friend of mine gave me her copy of Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete. Besides the fact that it's awesome, it also rounds out my missing Lunar copy for PSX.
Why did she give me a copy of this, though? For some background:
She is a former co-worker of my fiancee's and suffers from bipolar disorder. She's had her struggles with it and has finally found some medication that allows her to function without making her sick. Her mother suffers from a rare disorder that causes tumors to appear in her bloodstream, her grandmother is recovering from an injury, and both are on oxygen. She's been coming over for various parties and gaming for the past year+ and has been a welcome addition, even if I have to drive across town and back at odd hours.
During that time, my fiancee graduated with her bachelor's degree and has almost finished her masters. I've overcome the fact that my school dropped me with 18 weeks left for my bachelor's to work in the gaming industry as a Software Engineer and I'm currently working on finishing up my degree. She originally dropped out because of her illness issues with bipolar, but because of our encouragements and motivation to get back in, she recently was able to clear up her loan issues and found out that when she gets back into school, she'll enter as a Junior with 6 credit hours left before she's a Senior. She gave us the game as thanks for the motivation to finish up her degree and allow her and her family to improve their lives, and she knows the game will be treasured as part of my collection (I always show off my Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete when people come by).
...needless to say, it's going up on my display shelf and I'll ensure that it'll be counted in the collection, but it will be a prize piece. When I get a copy of Lunar 2 for Sega CD, I'll break both out to compare.
EDIT: I couldn't write/read that without any tears after the discussion we had last night when I dropped her off at home. Sorry if I rambled on, but it means a lot to me.

Games are what keep us all together and moving on. When my fiancee's sister passed away due to complications from swine flu in August, one of the few possessions we had left were her 32X w/ games, which they grew up playing and fighting over :) Another reason why that Knuckles Chaotix isn't moving off the shelf, besides the fact that it's the best 32X game I have.
Snatcher's going up on Youtube once my friend comes over and we play through it with the Justifier. He loves his Sega CD games and he's never played Snatcher, so it should be good fun :)

There's nothing quite like playing a great game with great friends. I found 3 copies of Phantasy Star 0 in less than a month, and look forward to giving the 3rd a good home in an effort to bring back that great event from the Dreamcast era: the PSO Party. Also got Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and New Super Mario Bros. Wii yesterday, and both are fun. In-person multiplayer is not dead.

Stopped by Half-Price books after dinner. I picked up a couple of PC games, Neverend for $4 and Command & Conquer: The First Decade for $10. Both games were new, Neverend was still sealed and C&C was shrinkwrapped. On the way home we stopped by Best Buy and they had the same C&C game for $20.
Before leaving HPB, I spied a couple of PS1 games in a locked case. They were Raystorm and Elemental Gearbolt and they wanted $25 for each of them. They had a few other PS1 games on a CD rack like Oddworld: Abe's Exodus and Armored Core but wanted $10 each for them. Luckily I already had all of the titles so I passed.

Did Dark Spire have it's cardboard outter box and the soundtrack CD inside with the game? FYI, GameStop is selling the game for $4.99 NEW.

Received Bonk's Adventure in the mail. It is CIB and in VG condition other than a small coffee stain on the top left corner of the box. Woohoo!

Picked up PS1 Bust a Move 2, Arcade's Greatest Hits/Atari Collection 2 and Parappa the Rapper (missing the poster) for a total of $3.29 at a thrift. Not too shabby.

I got a mvs Pulstar cart , I feel pretty good since it had a custom label I almost thought it was fake , I checked the insides and found out it was legit. Not a bad deal for 81 bucks.

Yes, it's one of the Atlus titles that came packaged in the cardboard box packaging. I'm trying to remember what all other games had that. Let's see...
Super Robot Taisen DS OG Saga
Knights in the Nightmare
The Dark Spire
Legacy of Ys Book I and II
Luminous Arc II
Ummmm feels like I'm missing one and I can't think of it. The new Shin Megami game for DS is going to have the cardboard packaging.

Yeah, I got the whole thing. I hadn't seen it at my local GS, but they probably have it. Guess I need to look around more before I buy stuff. :grrr:

Almost no sales today (2!) because of the snowy/cold weather.
I stopped by Salvation Army and got...
Friends Season 1 for $1.99
Golgo 13 (the anime movie) VHS for $0.99
Gorillaz Demon Days on CD for $0.99 (woot, been looking for this one).
And I also stopped by a local games store and got...
Tutankham (2600) for $2.95
The Untouchables (NES) for $4.95
Yet another NES game for the collection, it's an R3 according to the DP guide, but I think that it should perhaps be raised up to an R4-5. This is the first time I've seen this game in the wild and it seems to rarely show up in lots on eBay.
Tutankam looks pretty fun, and I think I'm going to play it now while my Atari 2600 Jr is hooked up :D
EDIT: I also got an RCA "TV Joypad Console" at Salvation Army. It's interesting, but I'm betting it's some sort of famiclone.
And I forgot to mention that Salvation Army was having a 25% off sale, so everything I got there was actually 1/4 less than I posted.

eBay reselling? They cost me around $3, I figure selling the set for $20 shipped would be nice :P
