Samurai Showdown Anthology gets a pretty penny doesn't it?
Yes, yes it does. Or at least it used to, I think the prices went down again after the recent influx of copies last year.
you're at least tolerable compared to the fat smelly ones in my area, but yeah it was the ps2 version, if theres any left when i go to grab soul bubbles i'll grab you one, they had about 10 of each game (only one of the battle collesium thing)
Sweet, thanks. I already gave my friend a burned copy of my game, but I'm sure he'll appreciate the original.
... and would I be a dick if I asked for another one if your store got US versions? I still hate having French in my copy. >_>;; :p
... Also. Tolerable? That's the nicest thing anyone's called me in years.

I got this lot off of craigslist for $40 today. It was originally for $30, but we agreed on a higher amount since the woman drove far out of her way to deliver the items.

RF adapter (boxed)
Model 2 controller
Street Fighter: The Movie
Bug!
Virtua Fighter 2

Rather eclectic day at Goodwill:
http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/8962/cs4g.jpg
Giant Expanding Ball $2.99
Original Gameboy in fabric case with 6 games $6.99
Noise Canceling Headphones $2.99
Photoshop CS4 for Windows (shrinkwrapped) $2.99 - this should be worth something...
And I spent the $10 giftcard from the Bioshock 2/Giftcard/Figure Set deal at TRU on another Figure from TRU...the Subject Delta Big Daddy $13.99
I think I'm going to expand that ball, put it on my head, and tromp around like a Big Daddy just to annoy my daughters...hope you have an equally productive evening.

Shrinkwrapped, but who knows if it's activated or registered... You know what to do though. ;p
Also, nice Bomberman figure you got there.

Actually, I don't know what to do...I don't buy much PC software, but I know CS4 is the current release...care to fill me in?
And yes, the figure is quite nice...excellent detail, and looks great next to the Original Big Daddy, the Little Sister, and the new Big Sister...I'm a big Bioshock fan, thanks.

I wish my Half Price Books still had decent pricing. They seem to use Amazon or Ebay as I saw SW: Rogue Leader for $14.98 at mine... :| Heck, they had the Big Box RE1 on PSX for $24.98....
Yikes! Stay away from that location!

I can tell you how to check if the item is registered, but you have to give me the software to check it out first. ;)
Selling Adobe CS2 and up on eBay is a bit tricky because the software needs to be activated. And if the item is already registered then the only person who can activate it is the one who registered it (they have to file a support ticket with Adobe), and the person who registered it is the only one that can initiate a license transfer so the item can be resold. So, it's not easy to sell this just like that.

Games are Bug!, NBA Jam T.E., Panzer Dragoon, Cyber Speedway, Pebble Beach Golf Links, NHL All-Star Hockey, Clockwork Knight, Street Fighter: The Movie, Ghen War, and Virtua Fighter 2. All were CIB except Cyber Speedway. Bug was also missing the front cover of the case.

I got a lot of small misc things; calculators, XM radio stuff, and PDAs this time. Most interesting find today was a Psion Organiser II with a 64k card and a "MATHS" card. From what I can tell the Psion Organiser series was the first PDA ever made, the one I got in particular was made in 1986.
I have a Psion 5 (1997) that I use almost every day and a 3a that I would use more often if I could find a 3link for a decent price.
I passed up alot of other games including samurai showdown collection(hated the series) and the tru exclusive soul bubbles and the collector's edition of afro samurai. (I left the rest for the creepy ebay reseller assholes) might go back for a copy of soul bubbles.
Soul Bubbles is on the way out. A few weeks ago pretty much all stores that make their sales were sent 500+ copies each. Last week the vendor return order came to send them back, my pull was for 480 / 500. Basically they went from the Time Warner Interactive warehouse to the stores, and then from the stores to a TRU warehouse where I'm sure most will be tossed.
Also, it's probably not marked but the PS2 version of Pinball Hall of Fame the Williams Collection is $5.00 too.

It's been $5 at my local store since last year. Huh.
Anyway, today's finds:
A new S-Video cable - $1
Powerpoint 2003 (Retail) - $2 - The CD key looks... odd, but the disc is legit, so I dunno what the hell is up with this.
Windows ME install CD w/key - $1
Edited to add: My local dollar store got like 30 copies of Without A Paddle - on UMD Video. That was... a little bit freaky to see.

Just got my DJ Dao Platinum Edition Evolution IIDX controller in the mail yesterday. Was planning to get a Real Edition Single but I saved about $300 buying a used PEE instead. Totally happy with it though. Has Sanwa buttons and Omron microswitches, so it's just like the arcade. Looks so much better when the LED and turntable lights are on, so the pic doesn't really do it justice:

Finally moved in to my townhouse. Got a one year lease on the place and am starting to unpack. I haven't slowed down though in the way of finds. Over the past week I've gone a bit Atari crazy. Cox Communications just installed my internet so I figured I'd jump on and post what I've been up to:

More 2 dollar 2600 games...
Keystone Kapers
Megamania
Outlaw
Seaquest
Sky Jinks
Spider Fighter
Genesis - Toejam & Earl - 6
NES - Wheel of Fortune (complete) - 2
The last lot of stuff is from my friend Nez, who used to collect and post here. I'm gonna buy out his 2600 collection, but he could only find a few things when I went over to visit. I know he has a TON of other carts that I don't have, just can't find them yet. Here's what I brought home so far though:
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/hellvin/2010-02-17144432.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/hellvin/2010-02-17144444.jpg
Bowling
Laser Blast
Mission-X
Robot Tank
Sea Hawk (factory sealed)
Galaga (7800)
Word Zapper
all boxed
Donkey Kong Junior (loose)
Keyboard Controllers boxed
Empty boxes for Dark Caverns 2600, and Frenzy and Zaxxon on Colecovision.
and my personal favorite...a completely mint and boxed Star Raiders for 2600.
Second Picture
7800 - Hat Trick
2600:
Asteroids
Gunslinger
Missle Command
Sea Hawk (loose)
The sears games are quite common but I don't have those variations.
A ton of manuals for 2600 / 5200 / 7800, M Network brochures, Atari brochures, overlays, ect.
Xybots, Tournament Cyberball & Steel Talons factory sealed for Atari Lynx.
Epyx controller, and lastly, an empty shell for a 2600 VCS in awesome condition, which should make a nice replacement if I ever come across a nasty but working unit.
Phew...that is all. Over the next few days I'll be unpacking the collection and constructing a game room, I'll throw pics up once it's done.

Hrm, you guys asked for more pics of the dock sale. These were taken with my phone so please excuse their "height".
On the left, in the foreground you can see the bins of misc, and in the background is the clothes area. Really not that much of an interesting area; it leads up to the checkout so sometimes people will decide not to get things and they'll end up in these bins. One time I found a Bose DVD player, in unknown working condition, that way.
(Ooooh, I'm dual-wielding pics.)
On the right you can see a snapshot from one of their VHS bins. It contains VHSs, some CDs, and the occasional DVD. This bin is on the opposite side of the building from the "media" area, where they keep most of the CDs, 8-tracks, video games (if they have any), and etc.
lol, doesn't everybody need a copy of "Hambone & Hillie"?
On a related note, the Found Footage Festival guys were wondering where all of the weird/taped VHSes that go to Goodwill end up. Well here they are!

I actually got a bunch of electronics stuff today: adapters, remotes, some radio stuff, a roomba (for parts), but these were the most interesting things. It's a boxed Choplifter (SMS), Asteroids (PSX), some sealed CD of a band I'm not familiar with, and a PSX VCD player attachment thing.

Wow its been awhile since I have been in the finds thread. Nice to see people still finding good deals on things. Collecting has completely dried up in my area, its a rarity to even find a classic game at all. I wish there was Play n Trades/ Value Villages/ Half Price Books in my area, they seem to have some pretty good stuff.
Anyway, I was in GameStop today and picked up Advance Wars: Days of Ruin for $10 new. First DS game I've bought in ages, and it was a pretty good deal.

Battle Squadron looks like a boot, Raiden Trad is another guess of mine to be a boot. (needs smaller photos [data wise] of cartridges to be sure)
The 3rd last game (#7) is Daisenpuu aka 'Twin Hawk' in PAL regions. Not a bad shooter but because of the screen squashing makes it much more frustrating than it should be, pretty hard otherwise (one of Toaplan's hardest). Also it's Kuuga Vapor Trail, not Sora Kiba. Same Kanji different meaning. Nice score all the same, especially on MUSHA Aleste, one of the best shooters on the system, some would say.

Yeah, looks fine. It's just hard to tell from the cover and that I've never owned NTSC-J Raiden Trad to confirm. If you have time (and can make the images smaller) show the other cartridges if you're interested to verify (everything pardon Battle Squadron which is definitely a boot) if they are also legit. PS2 - Mad Maestro! (complete) ($1.99)
PS2 - OutRun 2006 Coast 2 Coast (complete) ($2.99)
PS2 - Steambot Chronicles (complete) ($5.99)
GBA - Final Fight One (loose) ($1.99)
GBA - Lunar Legend (loose) ($3.99)

I already have copies of Mad Maestro and OutRun 2006 but I couldn't pass them up for so little. I'll probably give them to my brother. Steambot Chronicles is a game I was looking forward to for quite some time but never ended up buying a copy, it was a nice surprise to come across. The insert is a little beat up on the lower corners and there's a bit of a GameStop price sticker induced tear on the spine but no big deal. I'll easily get two bucks of entertainment out of Final Fight One and Lunar Legend is another game that I never got around to playing. I actually imported a Japanese copy JUST before it was announced that it would be localized, so I never really played more than 20 minutes in.

Hit a TRU bargain bin and picked up:
Mountain Bike Adrenaline (PS2) $5.00
EndWar (PSP) $5.00
Blokus (PSP) $5.00
SpyBorgs (Wii) $5.00
I like the board game Blokus, so I'm sure I'll play the PSP version. Spyborgs is by Capcom and is a 2-player only fighter/shooter? Sounds like something my kids would enjoy. Mtn. Bike is for a neighbor who recently asked "why isn't there a mountain biking game?" And Endwar is one I just finally wanted to pickup, but am expecting it to suck.

It's hard for me to top that NES lot I bought a few weeks back, but I feel I did come fairly close (Though it isn't quite as massive and spetacular as that NES lot):
- Project Gotham Racing 2 (Xbox. Best of Platinum Hits version, complete & near mint): $5
- Mickey Mousecapade (NES. In box. Box is a bit rough, while the cartridge in near mint condition): $2
- The Wizard of Oz (Super NES. CIB. Box is partially crushed and the cover of the instructions has a small crease on the cover, but the cartridge and poster are in mint condition): $2
I got lucky with my gaming finds; I had been trying to find a copy of PGR2 ever since I got my 360 (It's surprisingly hard to find around here), and finding The Wizard of Oz was the icing on the cake; the game looks like it was probably only played once and then stored in it's box for ages. In fact, the receipt from when it was bought new at EB Games back in 1993 was included as well.
Non-gaming finds:
- Star Trek: Insurrection (DVD. 2-disc Special Edition in it's original, pointlessly large case): $3
While out, I randomly stumbled onto the DVD of the only Star Trek movie to date I have not seen, and for much less than it typically goes for used on Amazon last time I looked. Very nice...

That Sega Master System power supply would have worked fine with it.

Got it for 750 points on Goozex (~$38)! Soon I will be able to open Bioshock 2 LE!

I'd assume Porksta that you got Bioshock LE so cheap beause you didn't get the big box that contained both the game and Big Daddy?

Well the way Goozex works is the points are the same. So if you get a complete Bioshock LE or just the three discs it is going to be 750 points. I was first in line to get the complete package and the guy let me know he didn't have the big box. I just really wanted it and for a third of its normal price I didn't mind.

GameStop (prices -10% for edge, all mint and complete):
Shining Tears - $9.99

Wild Arms Alter Code F - $12.99
EZ Pawn:
Wii Music no manual - $10
MGS Portable Ops - $4
KillZone Liberation UMD only - $2
GoodWill:
GameBoy Player Start-Up Disc no manual - $4.99

DDR Extreme
Box + manual GH for Spyro Enter the Dragonfly, no game
Box for We * love * Katamari, no game
NOFX - The War on Errorism
NOFX - Punk In Drublic
$7.98 total. It was so cheap because they couldn't find Katamari, Spyro, or the OST to Lunar, and took forever to find the discs that they did have, so the lady just rang up DDR and the Katamari box and said have the rest for free. There was also a PS2 for $9.99 but I passed on it because it had no warranty sticker and didn't turn on, if anyone wants it for parts I can pick it up for them.
