Flea Market....

Probably the Dryest I've ever seen it of game stuff compaired to the amount of vendors..Again Lots and lots of bikes..Then even had one of the electric dirtbikes I love so much for $50.00 but the battery was completely dead...
One guy had a load of Atari stuff, two units and around 40 common banged up games(all piled in a bin)..He kept saying how old and hard to get it was so I didn't even ask a price as he didn't throw one out there...another vendon had an Nes SP,no charger, untested $25.00

What bought..
Bike Chain Cleaner $3.00
Microvision Game stuff $2.00

Water World VHS,50 cent..The vendor was HOT so I scooted my single Dad over to buy the movie from her.

.......
Final Fantasy VII (was three then they jammed me for $5.00-I bought it as I want to see it with another I have(ebay)
My dad bought a few items off them,Rifle Scope ..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/TSMMR/VIDEO%20GAMES/DIAMONDBACK140.jpg

The same vendor I bought the Game from I bought the Bike below..
..Was $50.00 offered $40.00 and got it...(Sons got another bike now,I lost count,I love bikes I had a bunch when I was a kid so now I spoil them..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/TSMMR/VIDEO%20GAMES/DIAMONDBACK139.jpg

So.
We were done ready to leave,I'm pushing on the side of my Dad with the Bike and an older guy with a rough full beard comes up to us and grabs the handle bar of the bike and says "That's My Bike"..He's angry and wants the bike.I'm like HUH?..whoa wait...
He says where'd you get it,where'd you get it it's mine...I felt like I just fell into a scam, fely gulty.... and I think he thought I was going to hand it over like a kid giving it up..
..Thinking to myself,oh man I bought a bike and it's stolen, but wait I just got it a few minutes ago, this guys older then me,it's a kids bike..This is some BS,hold on....

I said I bought it from a vendor over there. he asked where?..He then says> "but It's my Bike"...He kept giving me the stare and holding on to the handlebar like as if I was going to hand it over..
He then says, did you buy it from the Spansh guy over there (he was spanish too)..>ah,the questions are changing since I didn't give it to him,...
..He's still holding on to the bike and I'm not letting go..

I said well I don't know if he was spanish but he's located over there-The biggest truck...(he says again well it's my bike..just staring at me holding on to it in wait...
He asks,.How much did you pay for it...

So I said well I'm not giving it up,If you want it then we are going back and I'm getting my money back.Lets go!!..I'm in a spot at this point...this guy has no proof it's his bike and it's in my possession..I'm not giving it up and if he tries to force me off it at this point I'm going to break his face..(call security whatever,I'm not losing my money no way..

He lets go,turns and walks away.

.....I'm so shooken up ...baffled... my tempers rising,....what just happened...

I told my dad wait here,I went up and around..took a look at the guy walked right into the vendors spot and sat down...He was with them all the time, either he was trying to scam me or they have problems selling things within but next time I see them I have some choice words for them..

It needs a good cleaning..I took it to the garage and did some adjustments on it..

EVEN the memory card holders? There should be two in there.

The package only comes with 1 memory card holder out of the 3 different versions available.

Super dry day for finds.
All I got was a sealed Journeyman Trilogy for PC, Dino Crisis 2 for PS1 and a Super Game Boy

Went to the annual fund raising yard sale at the highschool today.

All I could manage to find was a crusty PS1 memory card for fifty cents and a somewhat cool looking lighted xbox game holder cd-rack...thingy.

Camera is shot right now but it seems to hold 10 disks with cd doors and has a power strip on the back with the original black/green xbox colors.

Kinda cool, it was only a buck so what to hell.

EDIT: found a pic of it online, http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&rlz=1T4HPIA_enUS311US311&q=APC+xbox+game+manager&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=17107933458711518994&ei=oC8UTM3wMIP7lweS2oTPDA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CBIQ8wIwAw

I dunno yet, all I know is it has a surge protector on it and it lights up and stores loose xbox games, so it's going out in the garage with my beer fridge and 32" CRT TV and xbox.

Oh yeah, that's right. Thanks for the clarification.

Anyway, I finally drove the hour required to get to the Cullman flea market after not having been since early March. I've had some pretty cool deals come out of there, but nothing spectacular today.

-Silpheed: The Lost Planet (Complete, $5) ~Brings my Treasure collection to 13!

The guy I bought that from has a little shop down the road in an old gas station food mart. I took a trip of course; they're one of the only shops close by with PS1 games and older. Low and behold, I actually found something GREAT today.

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i168/kyle152006/Grandia.jpg

It is complete and in wonderful condition. They had it marked at $24.99 and let me have it for twenty. Now I have something else to cross-out on my Playstation want list! :D

After a long dry spell, I found something worth smiling over. For my upcoming birthday (Tuesday), I bought myself a NIB Retro Duo Twin console. I've wanted one for quite some time but they're always $40 and up.

I landed the blue/white system for $28. Woohoo!

Hit up some neighborhood garage sales before work this morning, the first place I stopped was the only one that had anything of merit, but it was really all I could ask for. They had a copy of Grandia for only $ .50, it's missing the manual but for the price I couldn't really complain, especially since the local used game store charges $30 for the game used. I think this easily ranks up there as one of my best finds ever, I'm gonna try to hit some more garage sales tomorrow and hope I can score at least one more good find.

Hey guys, anyone know the values of my 5 sealed NES games? I want to know if any of them are worth under $50, because I want to open a cheap one. I've never had the pleasure of opening an NES game.

Isolated warrior isn't worth that much, same thing with remote control, there are ones on ebay for under $40 that haven't sold
i am pretty sure shatterhand isn't worth over $40 also

Went to the swapmeet (to sell - didn't really make any money tho) and got these games:

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - $15
Suikoden V - $6
Xenosaga II - $5
Drakan: The Ancient Gate - $5
Tales of Symphonia - $8
Phantasy Star Online Ep. I + II plus (GC) - $5

So I guess when I sell (most) of this stuff on Amazon I'll come out ahead.

Honestly, I'd sell or keep them all and use some of the proceeds to buy a sealed Win, Lose or Draw off eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Win-Lose-Draw-Nintendo-NES-BRAND-NEW-SEALED-/110540253096?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item19bcb667a8

There are so many of them out there that this is not an uncommon price.

Woohoo! Added an NES game to the collection for the first time since Sept. Tiny Toon Cartoon Workshop. It falls into the 'unique' genre. I find that is usually code for 'crappy'.

I'm at about 560 NES games, and new additions have gotten few and far between already. (I only really get them in the wild)

Paid $2.99 at Goodwill. Also picked up Barker Bill's because it has a perfect label.

There are actually some GOOD NES games that go for cheap sealed. I've seen Kirby's go for $20~30 before, but I'm sure there are others as well.

The Kirby's Adventures that bring $20-30 are the French/English ones, btw. They found a bunch of them in a warehouse in Canada. In fact, I bought one for $13 a few years ago, and it's been sitting on my shelf on display.

The American Kirby's Adventure, brand new, goes for a lot more.

Non-gaming find...
I've been curbing back my spending because we found out that the house model that we've been eyeing for the past few months will be on the market soon.

We're now first in line to purchase it, so we're trying to fix what we can of our credit and save up enough for the down purchase and closing cost. I'll probably start selling off some of the collection here shortly, mostly duplicates and non-CIB items (which I've been planning on doing anyways to replace them with CIB versions).

Sad part? Mortgage payment will be the same as I'm paying for rent now if we get the house, but I don't qualify for the mortgage atm because of credit score.

Gaming-related...
I'm starting to catalog all of my stuff again after a hiatus. I found that I have 4 different manual revisions of Super Mario World (!) and I've been adding variants like crazy to RFGeneration. I've been able to track down almost everything...but some things still defy explanation to me (for now). If anyone has Lemmings on SNES with part # -1, let me know so I can put my search to bed! I only have the manuals for most SNES games.

At the swap meet last night I got a booth, and sold about $300 worth of stuff. It was all crap that wasn't worth selling, like all of the PS1 games from the lot worth less than $5 were $3 each and I sold a bunch of those, plus some PS2 and Xbox games, PS1 systems for $10, and managed to sell the zappers for $10 each. It only cost me $15 for the spot, and copies of Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Pokemon Stadium 2 and valkryie chronicles I gave to my friend for helping me out.

I also bought some stuff:
Kirby Superstar SNES - $1
KOTOR and KOTOR II Xbox - $10

Traded $35 worth of my stuff for $20 cash and Vigilante 8, RE Director's Cut, and Contra Legacy of War to one of the game dealers there.

And I traded in more of the leftover PS1 games to Bookman's, the first one gave me $75 cash for some of it, mostly crap is left. Then I went to the other Bookman's and they gave $53 in credit for what was left. Using the credit + some other credit I already have I bought:

Star Wars KOTOR PH - $10
Star Wars KOTOR black label case w/ PH disc, no manual - $10
Conker Live & Reloaded - $10
Koudelka - $15
Inuyasha PS1 x2 - $5 ea
Final Fantasy Legend III CIB - $15
Lufia Ruins of Lore GBA cart only - $6

Also got these at a couple other stores:

EZ Pawn:
Pokemon Emerald cart only - $3
Sonic Battle cart only - $3
Shining Tears - $3.99
Jet Set Radio Future - $3.99

GoodWill:
N64 w/ controller, power cable, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, World Driver Championship, Army Men Sarge's Heroes 2, WinBack, THPS - $34.99

I also sold 39 things on eBay in the past three days, not gonna have fun packing tomorrow. Maybe I'll buy myself an HDTV or something with all the money I've made this weekend.

So I had a bit of an interesting weekend. My brother got a job in southern Indiana and is going to be moving to Evansville. This weekend I went down there with my parents to help start moving him in. I looked up game stores in the area and saw that there are a few there. I only ended up actually going to two, and I only made a purchase at one.

Here were my purchases:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/DrDib/IMG_0063.jpg

Gamestop:
Edge Card (Not pictured) - "Free"
GBA to GCN link cable - 0.89 after Edge.

The Edge card I actually got a few days ago. I noticed Gamestop was doing a trade your Gamecrazy MVP card for an Edge card promotion so I figured I'd attempt to cash in. I had an old MVP card that expired 5 years ago or so, and wondered if that would work. The cashier didn't seem to mind this fact, I told him about its state, so I got an edge card in the process.

Down in Evansville I went to the Gamestop there after finding a game of mine in my brother's PS2 collection. Its case was beat up, so I figured I sell the disc only and take advantage of the 50% bonus trade in. While there I looked around and saw the GBA to GCN link cable as I had been searching for one for the past few weeks. I got Four Swords Adventure and figure I need an extra one if I have a friend who wants to play.

Goodwill
Dinosaurs for Hire - $2

Next I went to a Goodwill that I was surprised to find games at as the one by me rarely has any. They had a Genesis 1, N64, and Game Boy Color I passed on as I couldn't see the prices and didn't feel like asking. There was only one clerk working and she was pretty busy. I instead picked through a basket of games and picked up Dinosaurs for Hire since it looked interesting. Turns out it was a R4 and seemed fairly fun.

McVann's
Sword of Vermillion - $8
Phalanx - $5
Armada - $10

McVann's was the only game store I could remember off the top of my head to stop at. It also happened to be nearby a hobby store that my dad wanted to stop at, so that helped. I had heard that it was supposed to be this big game store, and it seemed that way to me. I was just disappointed that there really weren't too many out of the ordinary consoles or extremely rare stuff. Though they did have a copy of Earthbound.

Anyway, I picked up Sword of Vermillion as a friend recommended it to me years ago and it seemed a decent price. Phalanx I picked up for the fancy cover art alone, and yeah, I knew about it before. Armada my brother told me to get because he mentioned having fun with it with a friend of his.

I wish I could've purchase more, but I didn't have a whole lot of money to spend. I'm also heading on a trip to California next week and am hoping to find some stuff there as I have a cousin there who is a fan of resale shopping. If anyone has game stores I should visit in the L.A. area, besides Game Dude, please PM me about it. I'd assume I'm going back to Evansville at some point and hope to stop at more of their resale shops and game shops as I seemed to only hit a fraction of them.

Glad you had a good time, and some good finds, in Evansville.

Henderson native here (we're the folks on the other side of the bridge), and I'm happy with this area. I hope your brother likes it too.

McVan's tends to hype itself a bit, but that's just what marketing departments do. There are some good deals to be had there, especially on Sega games.

Good luck with any future trips out here, but remember, sharing is caring! Take a deal, leave a deal so we all get a good find once in a while.

Also, beware of the Phoenix Wright plushie... he may strike at any moment! (Or at least on Sundays).

Today at the flea market....$4.50 for both games (No instructions), wrestlemania challenge and total recall.

$1 for the neogeo pocket color. It had no battery cover and came with bust-a-move. The guy had no idea what it was. I took it up to him and hes like "What is it?" and i'm like "A video game" hahaha.

Aside from this, I got neil gaiman's stardust (Issues 1 and 2) for $5 each, a joe camel cup ($1), a mcdonalds toy van ($1, it kicks ass), and a couple of penthouse mags for my brother for $2 each.

KDS 20" monitor- $20 from Goodwill. I thought it would be broken when I got it home but so far it works and looks great. It has 2 dead pixels that I can see so far, but at that price I don't mind at all. I bought this on Friday, and I was thinking if I should wait till the next day and get it for $10, but it probably would have been gone.

Yamaha Portasound keyboard .50 cents
Pokemon HeartGold, box is opened but game is sealed $10
NES games were $1.50 each
Zelda Spirit Tracks guide $1.50

Awesome...the moment I mention to the local Play-N-Trade owner that I'm saving up to buy a house, he gets in a huge trade today and calls me just before he closed shop for the day.

From what he told me, he got in an Atari Lynx CIB and an 32X CIB. Not a big deal, but I'd be interested in the Lynx or 32X if they're different models than what I have.

He sent me a message afterwards though mentioning 32X, TG-16 and TG-16 CD games. Looks like I'm stopping by the shop first thing tomorrow to make sure I check them out before someone else nabs them.

Well when I played it for the few minutes when I tested it out it seemed like it was a good game. I didn't want to get too involved at the time though as my backlog of recent games is long enough. Hopefully one day I'll get around to playing it.

There was only one Battle of Olympus. Me and Luis (FamicomFreak) stumbled across a craigslist ad that was advertising "new" NES games. When I went to meet the couple selling them, sure enough, there were 43 NES games, all sealed. I inspected them, and the seals were authentic. The couple's story was that they had a friend who used to own a gaming store back in the day, and this was unsold stock from back then. I know it sounds fishy, but they seemed to be telling the truth. Also, here's a picture of what I saw when I met them:

Look at this! I won a loose "TURBOGRAPX SUPEP SYSTEM CARD" on eBay for $9.99.
Here's the auction in question: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220616533187

This is a Super System Card of course. I figured that the seller may try to pull something if he knew what these sold for, so I decided to make my big reveal if everything went well. It arrived about 20 minutes ago in superb condition! My system reads the card fine, but my CD drive needs repair before it'll spin-up.

Anyway, here it is! (Sorry for the crummy pic. My camera has a hard time with things of this size, even on close-up settings.)

Stopped to check out the games that came in to the local PnT today. He hasn't had a chance to price them yet, but he let me set aside the ones I'm interested in until they're priced.

Considering his recent prices though, I'm probably not going to pick much up. I saw Exile (TG-16 CD) without the box for $29.99. A quick look on Google for the box art brought up an eBay auction for a sealed copy for $30...so yeah, we'll see how this goes.

There was definitely some interesting stuff mixed into the lot - Kolibri and Blackthorne CIB for 32X, quite a few CIB Sega CD games, some Genesis stuff I don't have yet and a Lynx game I don't have.

...*sigh* I would've loved to have seen this guy's stuff on CL though. He probably only got $300 for it and the whole deal will probably sell for $900.

The Mangler (DVD) was $2 at the flea market. I saw this movie on VHS when I was a teenager and figured, for two bucks, why the hell not?

The other games were free from GameTZ. About nine bucks for shipping. Pricey, but not bad at three bucks each. The bottom game is Claw by Monolith, kinda rare and expensive. The game's got Hebrew writing on the disc but the game is entirely in English so it's fine.

I was sad, though - some douchebag who has a booth got a ton of DVDs and he picked out a few that I wanted to buy, including The Terminator Special Edition (the one with the double-sided disc.) I already have it, but it's good tradebait.

Went to a car show/swap meet. Seems like what used to be a automotive/classic car swap meets have turned into flee market settings as of late. Lots of stuff other than the car parts I am usually looking for, but I don't mind when I find game items for my collection or sale/trade.

http://homepage.mac.com/vasspeppers/Games/Images/SPs.gif

This is the SP that Nintendo released at the end that had an actual backlight, not just the usual "side lights".

At the same table I picked up a silver GameCube, the one that had the better A/V outputs. The GC was 15.00, but it had the Gameboy Player attached.

http://homepage.mac.com/vasspeppers/Games/Images/GCGBA4s.gif

Not a bad deal, but to add a little extra bonus, the Gameboy and the Gameboy Player both had GBA games inside, and the Gamecube had Super Mario Sunshine inside.

I am a bit behind on my finds, I think I got these items at the end of last month, but not a bad deal. I have put he GB Player, SP and the three games that were "included" on eBay and made a nice turn on them:

GameCube 15.00 (keep)
Gameboy Player 0.00 (included with GC) -Sold for 7.51
Super Mario Sunshine 0.00 (included with GC) -Sold for 7.51
GameBoy SP with case/charger 5.00 -Sold for 42.00
GBA game -Starwars 0.00 (Included with SP) -Sold for 5.99
GBA game -Starwars 0.00 (Included with GBPlayer) -Sold for 5.99

Turning 15.00 into 69.00 + a GC to keep, not too bad!

I think you mean The Mangler 2.0. (That was its video title down here.)

Jesus CHRIST not even Lance Henriksen could save that movie.

Disney's Hercules Action Game (Complete) - $1
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Complete) - $4
Playstation A/V Cord - .50
Donkey Kong Country - $1

Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure (CIB, Cardboard)
Sonic 2 (Boxed)

$1

Blood Omen 2 (Complete)
Megaman X8 (Complete)

$3

WWF Superstars (GB)
Trolls On Treasure Island (NES, Try Not To Be Jealous)

$1

Small finds, Hercules was in a stack of PS1 games. Guy Said I could have all of them for $10 but I only wanted the one and he took a buck easily. Was looking in a box of PC games and Zelda was the lone DS games I saw at $5, offered $3 had to check inside with the owner who countered with $4. A/V cord was untangled out of a mess and took my .50 offer. Asked about old games and a middle school aged kid mentioned having an extra copy of DKC when he asked what kind of games I was interested in. Took my offer of a buck easily. The 2 Genesis games, buck each took a buck for both, same goes for the GB & NES game. Picked out 2 PS2 games at one house, $2 each took $3 for both with no hassle.

Mostly SNES Stuff (The Chess Master For NES Is The One Hi-Tech Game That's Hard To See) - $5

Asked about games at a sale and this was brought out. I looked it over and was gonna offer $10 but asked if by chance the A/V cord for the SNES was around and accidently missed and it wasen't then offered $5 instead ready to work up but it was taken.

http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/4619/612103.th.jpg (http://img811.imageshack.us/i/612103.jpg/)

Mostly N64 Stuff - $9

It was pretty late in the day (about noon or shortly after) looked around and asked about video games and was pointed to 2 grocery bags I missed, one with a PS1 & some games & another with the N64 stuff. No price when I brought it up and asked it was $8 which I agreed on, I then noticed the Black GBA SP on a table that I missed. Was told that the battery was shot and said a buck or two would work so I said how about $9 total.

http://img815.imageshack.us/img815/4016/612104.th.jpg (http://img815.imageshack.us/i/612104.jpg/)

Dirty Atari 2600 Stuff (Adventure - Picture Label, Masters of the Universe: Power of He-Man & Q*Bert Are The Missing Label Games) - $15

Asked about old games and the guy mentioned having a 2600 that he would be willing to sell after I dropped some system names. Dug this up out of the garage out back and I looked it over noticing the rig job on the cord. After BSing about some of the games the seller started out with $20 I said I was thinking $10 and I suggested meeting in the midde which was agreed on.

http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/9875/612105.th.jpg (http://img809.imageshack.us/i/612105.jpg/)

Genesis Games - $8

This was a huge find for me as I haven't had any good finds at a church sale over the last 5 years of YSing. Only good find I've ever had before this at a church sale was back around 97 when I bought a 2600 with 30 some games for $15 late in the day. This was really late in the day, probably close to 2 and I was surprised to see this and asked as it wasen't priced the lady though it was $2 per a game but went to (I'm guessing the lady that donated the games) and came back with $1 each. I asked about all of them and went to the lady herself and asked if she would like to just get rid of the whole box to which she said how about $8 which I agreed to. I almost passed on this sale as to save some time being so late in the day since I never find anything good at church sales.

GBA Misc Stuff - $1 (IAP)
Metal Gear Solid VR Missions (Disc Only) - .50 (IAP)

8 Guide Books - $8

I got these from the same guy I got the Saturn & N64 stuff from about a month ago. When he saw me looking at them he said I could have them for a buck each and I picked out these 8.

NES Games - $4

Same regular seller with another small pile of NES games I picked out these 5 and was offered a price of $4. Other guy that just beat me to some NES games 2 weeks ago must not have been around today as I was over an hour later to the NES games today then I was 2 weeks ago when a guy just beat me to them and bought everything including the dreck for a buck each.

Sucks to be broke right now x_x

I see, you guys know each other. lol Makes sense now, I was like WTF seems weird a run on sealed games of the same title by different members in the same day.

@ BetaWolf47: Just sent a PM, I want one of those shatterhands

As for my finds, slim pickings all around. It's been raining for two solid weekends straight in the chicagoland area so there aren't any garage sales to pick through. Did manage a nice find while helping the folks move some stuff from one house to their new one.

Kirby 64: $5.00
Conker's Bad Fur Day: $4.00
Xenosaga 2 ( Complete ): $4.00
Way of the Samurai ( disc ): $4.00
Sonic Tripple Trouble: $3.00

And my surprise find

Tails Adventure: $3.00

I cannot believe that thing is worth $20.00, I don't think i've found a game gear game worth more than $5.00 before.

Star Ocean The Last Hope International CIB (PS3) for $25 at Movie Gallery and the game display rack for $40 this thing is like 10 to 12 foot long!

From what I hear all the Movie Gallery’s within 50 or so miles are going to be consolidated into this one (hole in the wall) store so I hope to get a lot of good stuff when it gets to 80 and 90% off.

I finally got something I've been hunting ages for, although I feel some build-up is needed beforehand...

While at work today, I happen to get a text message from my sister, who was telling me that something just turned up at her work that I had been hunting for, it's price was just right in my opinion, and there where two copies avaliable (The most copies of it I've ever seen gathered together anywhere in person). Thus, when I got off work, I went by to see if they where still there (After all, when I got the message, I still had a good 2 hours left to go before I got off).

When looking, I noticed that they now had a ton of desirable RPGs on older Nintendo systems, which just came in; all 4 of the NES Dragon Warrior games, the original Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire, Secret of Mana, and a certain game that my sister told me about (That being the reason I dropped by in the first place). Apparently, the person had a closet full of old games, and decided to sell off ones they didn't play anymore in order to pay some bills. I asked if they could set aside a copy of that one game for me, but unfortunately, they couldn't. However, the guy working there (My sister had gotten off work by this point) was nice enough to shove both copies into a corner of the case; hidden behind multiple copies of Super Mario Kart.

Seeing as I didn't have enough cash on me to get it, and I wouldn't get my next paycheck for another week (By then, it'd probably be gone), I scoured my collection to get rid of games I haven't played in years (Final Fantasy VIII), have on other systems (Tetris Attack), or are easy enough to find should I decide to buy it again (Halo 2). After building up a nice box, bringing my copy of Zelda: Spirit Tracks just in case I need a decent-sized boost, I went back to the store as fast as I could.

When I arrived, I traded in my stuff. I didn't get enough in credit to pay for it entirely, but thankfully, it was only $5 I had to pay in cash (I would have taken in Spirit Tracks to cover that last bit, but $5 out-of-pocket was a steal). Thus, a journey that took what felt like ages, dating back long before I joined these boards, was finally drawn to a close...

With that long, dramatic story of my find out of the way, here's what I got:

- EarthBound (Super NES. Loose in near mint condition): $5 ($35 before in-store credit)

Yeah, I got some other stuff over the past weekend (Some GBA game boxes and instructions, some Genesis plastic game cases, the box and instructions to Donkey Kong Country 2 on the Super NES, a 3rd party PS2 controller I had wanted to eventually get, a Wii Classic Controller Pro, and another copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl), but I don't really feel they're worth mentioning after what I just found.

She constantly posts shit about me here and on GameTZ and on CAG, saying I have no morals and preaches about the evils of "scalping" video games, then when I ask her why she has so much of a problem with me, she ignores me.
Just btw, a little mini-modding (I hope you mods don't mind >_>), but the last person that brought arguments here from another place was Nintega-Grafx 16. You might want to lay off that around here. It might escalate into something that wouldn't end well.

Ah, now that that's out of the way, I found some stuff at the lot sale.

They reorganized everything and the whole place was full of new junk, not so much video games...

I found the weirdest things, the 2 most interesting things being:

Sony VO-5600 U-Matic recorder. I've never seen a U-Matic device before in all my 5 years of eBay/garage sales. Wow.... It's heavy as a boat anchor. I have a friend who's into obscure electronics that I'm giving it to. I spent a grand $5 on it, and it's way to heavy and big to ship.

Technics SL-1200MK2 turntable. This was the "WTF is this doing here?!" of the day. It was in the bottom of a box. Sad thing is, that the employees piled stuff on top of it and it's in really trashed shape. It's missing a foot, and the rubber part that goes under the record, has various scuffs, and is just in beat up condition. Nevertheless, I got it home and it seems to be working. It needs some restoration but I think after that it'll be a nice thing for an audiophile. The 1200MK2 turntable was first introduced in 1979 as consumer level hi-fi equipment. To this day they are still made (and retail at $695, yikes!) and DJs use them. This model seems to be a mid-1980s model. When I first found it I had no idea of it's potential. I rarely buy trashed electronics, but one feel of the knobs and weight of this thing gave me an idea of it's quality (as well as the fact that it had a fancy DJing stylus on it LOL). The same friend that's getting the U-Matic is buying this from me tomorrow. Btw, this would be a $200+ item on eBay if it were in nice shape.

EDIT: Aw heck, according to it's serial number it was made July 2003. Wow, somebody did some heavy DJ work with this thing.

When I first talked to him he said he had everything but the neo geo, later he told me the guy didn't show up and he would let me have it all. The neo geo looks perfect, 2 controllers, no game, missing av cable. When I first tried to use it, it wouldn't work. Tried the PS from my other NG and it works fine. Don't know if it's the cable or the transformer. Have to see if I can fix the PS.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the find. I was really surprised it was still available after 2 days. There will be a lot of extra stuff to get rid of, not sure what I will do with it. Make take some to cge for the swap meet room. For the neo geo I need to find someone to remove the bios and put in a socket so I can use my extra debug bios I have. After that I may consider selling my other neo geo I picked up last year. In regards to list of games, I will try and take pictures tomorrow afternoon, it would take me a very long time to list them all. It's going to take forever to clean and test everything.
