Okay, rest of my stuff...

I met one of the flea market vendors at Play-N-Trade. He had walked there with a bag full of games for his shop because his car had broken down and no one wanted to give him a ride to the flea market, so he was going to wait for another 45 minutes for the bus to bring him to the flea market. I offered him a ride there, since the alternative was to walk in 100+ degree Florida heat (much worse than Arizona heat with the humidity). It would've been a 2 hour walk to the flea market with a 60+ pound bag to lug around.

He was nice enough to give me a game for free plus a decent deal on some stuff for the deed, since none of his friends wanted to help him out.

Sega Genesis
Landstalker (Box + Manual) - $Free

Sega Mega Drive
Gunstar Heroes (CIB)
Shadow Dancer (CIB)
Space Harrier II (CIB)

Xbox 360
Spectral Force (CIB)

$45 total

...what's the deal with people trading in games without the systems though? I came across CD-i games, Jaguar CD games, and Mega Drive games without any systems. I have a Jaguar CD, but it would've been nice to get a CD-i or a MD (especially a MD2, since I have a Super 32X and Mega CD).

You did what I did and bought those RCA format discs instead of LaserDiscs. If you take those out of their caddy, they look like a thick vinyl record, and they're played about the same way. LDs look like 12" CDs, and don't come in big plastic caddies.

Here's an auction for a player.

http://cgi.ebay.com/RCA-SelectaVision-SGT-200-8-Movies-James-Bond-Annie-/220626905418?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item335e63694a

There's a start. Those things are pretty useless and don't pull much of anything. I had a stack of 24 of them with several hard to find titles, I couldn't even sell it for 3$.. I eventually took them to goodwill.

That auction link is for a LaserVision player, not a SelectaVision like the discs he got. SelectaVision plays like vinyl, with a physical contact stylus.

Oops my mistake. BTW selectavision is not the name of the format. See Here: http://cgi.ebay.com/RCA-VKT-275-Selectavision-VCR-Vintage-Parts-/370400548074?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item563d97d4ea

OK I usually don't post in here but I'd like to share my tale of heartbreak and then redemption (sort of). While browsing craigslist Friday(at work of course) I ran across an estate sale listing that had a turbografx lot, microvision lot, a centipede machine, and a Playboy pinball machine. Here's the auction, if you care to click. http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/photopanel.cgi?listingid=888335&category=0&zip=&kwd=

Seeing that it was not far from where I live I decided to check it out today. Well me being a dummy I forgot my checkbook. (who uses check books anymore?) I had $245 bucks with me. Didn't really care to get the pinball or arcade machine but was really interested in the TG and Microvision stuff. Well I got there a little ahead of time to check out the stuff. I knew looking over the TG lot $245 was not going to cut it. There was a ton of good stuff in there, over 50 games with jewel cases and instructions (no Magical Chase though). The TG stuff went up right away. I bid as high as I could go but it went for $250. I probably was willing to go to $400 if I had the money, but this guy seemed determined. Me being a regular at the flee markets and selling at the conventions around OH, I know most of the "players" but I didn't recognize the buyer. I hope he's a collector and not some Ebay a$$hole. Maybe even a member here?? Well anyway he left right after he paid. About an hour later the centepide and pinball machines went up. The centipede went for $600. I think the pinball machine went for a little more. I was able to test the centipede machine and the up/down on trackball was not working but monitor looked good. But $600? Seems a bit high, but whatever.

Being on tilt from the TG auction I was determined to get the Microvision. I won it at $27.50. Here's what I got.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g157/wiz-dawg/videogames/9c0f5642.jpg

A nice consolation price I guess. I picked up a few other tidbits at the auction and headed home. On my way back I stopped at my favorite thrift store.

Looking over the electronics section something familiar caught my eye. A Vectrex system! I have never seem one in the wild. What's more it had a $8 dollar sticker on it. I searched and found a bag of games and controller. I tested the Vectrex but it was not powering up. Also the controller stick is busted. Oh well, I bought it anyway. Here's the system and games.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g157/wiz-dawg/videogames/ba24243c.jpg

I also found this for $2. I now have two of these to link head-to-head.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g157/wiz-dawg/videogames/5f65bea7.jpg

I'm still a little upset about my lack of boy scout skills but nothing beer can't fix. But finding 2 Jay Smith products in one day ain't that bad!

I put a bid on one of these.

....Upon looking for Laser Discs on ebay

.............. to be played in the Sony Lasermax.
CD 8CM,..CD/CDV..LD 20CM...LD30CM

I tested the machine with a CD and it playes otherwise I dunno so I hope to grab one of this guys laser disc as his auction IMO is vague on description and that i have no clue what I'm really looking for..

I can't seem to find much 'info' on the unit online..

As long as it's LaserDisc, it will play. Just look for that L logo with the square in it, like you have on the front of your player.

If I remember right, it's a different laser that reads CDs, so you can't fully test the unit without an LD or CDV. It will play CDs (8cm), CDVs (20cm), and LDs (30cm). CDV is the 45rpm 7" of LD, for lack of a better way to describe it.

Does it have extra ports on the back? Read this (http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/sony/sony_ldp-1550/sony_ldp-1550.htm). You might be able to use it if you find a Dragon's Lair cabinet in need of a new player..

A vintage tote bag, for traveling with my modded NES:

Not quite mint condition, but it should work fine.

I ordered this the day before Carey85 listed his rental case and I bought that as well. Doh. The bag will be a nice collectible anyway.

DS Case - .75 (IAP)

Wipeout (PS1, Complete) - $1
Playstation Extension Cords - Free
N64 1st Party Controller - Free
Disney Sports Soccer (GBA) - $1 (IAP)
Namco Museum Vol. 3 (PS1, Complete) - $1 (IAP)

Solstice
Spy Hunter

.50 (IAP)

Ape Escape
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2
Crash Bandicoot 3 (No Game)
Twisted Metal 2

$3

SNES With 2x 1st Party Controllers, RF Adaptor, AC Adaptor, Super Mario World & Super Mario All-Stars - $5

Offered .25 for the Dreamcast controller which was taken. Wipeout, no price took a buck. Extension cords came out of a free box. Asked about video games at one house and the kid went in and rounded up the N64 controller and said I could have it. NES games I found at one of my first sales in a box with some PS2 dreck, DVDs, VHS and were marked .25. The 4 PS1 games were most of what was in a small pile, $1 each took $3 for 4 and let me have the Crash 3 case when I asked (will go nice with the disc only copy I got last week).

The SNES was rather late in the morning, asked about games and came out telling me that not much was found but I said I'd be interested. The games were brought out and a hint was given about a system which I was told may not work and I offered $5 for all of it and wouldn't complain if it didn't work right which was taken. Mentioned selling most of the games last year which were mostly "fighting" games.

http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/1738/62610part2.th.jpg (http://img41.imageshack.us/i/62610part2.jpg/)

18 Video Game Related Books & Not Pictured Some D&D Stuff & A World of Warcraft Card Game - $2

Asked about video games at this sale and the lady brought something out and apologized since it wasen't games but I could see how the mistake was made. Saw a few I didn't have of interest and asked about getting rid of the whole box and offered $2 which was fine as I was told anything left was just going to be thrown out.

http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/1564/62610part3.th.jpg (http://img155.imageshack.us/i/62610part3.jpg/)

Atari 2600 With 3x Controllers, Hookups, Pile of Manuals & 26 Games - $15

This really isn't from a yardsale but from an auction that was early on my usual Saturday route (after my 3rd YS) and started at 8:30. I got to the auction shortly before it started and couldn't find the Atari asked and nobody working with the auction place saw it and I was about to leave to maybe come back later to see if it was still around since this was going to be an all day auction but somebody went and asked the owner of the house about it and ended up coming back with it and even was nice enough to put it right up for auction without me asking them to which was very nice as some places are stubborn about doing this and will tell not till x time when I ask or tell me they will but don't put it up for an hour or more. I took a quick look over the Atari stuff not noticing the one skill lever broken and while I was looking it over the only guy that bid against me didn't take a good look at it but kind of walked over me as I was looking at it and took a quick look over my shoulder. First bid was from the other guy at 2.50 and oddly enough was bid up in 2.50 increments, no tax or buyer's premium.

Hit a couple thrifts and a Movie Trading Company near my brother's house today. Picked up Entombed for the Atari 2600 (loose), Evil Zone and X-Men vs. Street Fighter for the PS1, and Steel Battalion for the Xbox. I bought the Steel Battalion controllers in a thrift a while ago, and I thought it would be easy to locate the game, since I'd seen it all over for around five bucks. But they all disappeared out of stores the moment I started looking for a copy. I did find it's sequel, but not the original game until now. I iz happeh.

haven't found much for games lately, but today I got a teal n64 controller for 1.50, waynes world w/ instructions (SNES) for 1.50, and donkey kong classics for $3.

I also got one of these things (I don't know what they're called, could someone help) made by pelican that adds 5 a/v inputs on your tv, for 2.50

Unrelated to games, I got a bunch of horror movies (including 5 vhs's for the show "freddies nightmares" which i've wanted for awhile) for 50 cents each, and some cassette tapes (Misfits, Samhain, Iron Maiden, etc) for 25 cents each.

and:

Garage sale find:

http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae237/philinchio/Misc/cag002.jpg

Woke up early to go to a sale in East Anchorage that advertised a SNES, but it was cancelled due to rain. On my way back home I stopped at an unadvertised sale and the first thing I saw was a bin containing a barebones SNES and a bunch of games. In the garage was a second bin filled with Genesis carts, various controllers, a power adapter for the SNES, a Game Gear case, (which had three games inside) and some other misc crap.

CIF'ed $15 for everything which was taken. I probably could've gotten it all for $10 and perhaps found more gaming stuff had I taken more time to thoroughly look around the garage.

Cool. How do you like it? From what I've read these are the original 80s NES licensed tote bags. I'm hoping some rubbing alcohol and a little TLC will bring some of the shine out on mine.

In case you're wondering, that plug is for using the NES RF adapter on an N64 or Gamecube. Nintendo just recycled the NES adapter for use on SNES, and made that adapter so they could use the same one (http://www.nesrepairshop.com/online_shopping/products_pictures/sac0001b.jpg) on N64 and Gamecube.

Be careful when matching that Wavebird dongle with a Wavebird. Make sure you test it out before you buy it, because some Wavebird sets are 900Mhz, and others are 2.4Ghz. Not every dongle works with every Wavebird.

I honestly have had it in a box with my other carrying bags and totes, since I display all of my systems on shelves, so I couldn't tell you.

I have a habit of picking up any licensed carrying items. I picked up a suitcase with the Nintendo characters on it at a random yard sale :)

Wow! Just when I thought I had a good enough weekend I stumbled across across an AWESOME Genesis lot on craigslist...

The ad list Genesis + 17 games $50 OBO; the games weren't listed but fromt he pic I could make out some awesome titles that made it well worth my time (unlike the usual 20 sports title lots)

So I called the guy offered him $40 and this is what I got...

Genesis [Model I] System with 2 controllers
17 Games (ALL mint with every piece of paper they came with and even each had its original receipt inside...telling you they don't get more than this unless they are sealed)

Cyborg Justice
Dungeons and Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun *HOLY CRAP*
Wonder Boy in Monster World
NBA Bulls vs Lakers NBA Playoffs
Gouls 'N Ghosts *HOLY CRAP*
Sonic the Hedgehog ("not for resale")
John Madden Football '93
Populous (ok, admitedly the cardboard box is slightly scuffed up)
Shining in the Darkness *HOLY CRAP*
Tommy lasorda Baseball
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Shining Force *HOLY CRAP*
X-Men (yes, it still has the poster, haha)
Streets of Rage 2
Rampart
Virtual Pinball
Pirates Gold *HOLY CRAP*

NEEDLESS to say I am QUITE pleased :)

*And I will quickly make my money back as certain ones like Pirates Gold are going right up or sale :)

Does it have the poster manual? If so, the deal you got is even better!

It does! Sadly though its not in the best shape, looks like soda was spilt on it, but for two bucks, I won't complain.

Really just one item today, trying to keep track for when I update the listings at the end of the week after a couple months (I look through all the pictures to remember what I acquired). Anyway, about $6.00 and some change...

Wii - Spy Fox in Dry Cereal (new)

http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/finds/DP-Finds-2010-06-28(01).jpg

I've actually had it set aside for awhile but with an additional discount right now I figured it was time.

Also my girlfriend got me an early anniversary present that just arrived...

Cel I've been looking at for a long time and with the recent Luna Art sale she bought it for me. From Sailor Moon S episode 104 of Eudial firing her Heart Buster at Tamasaburou. Big pan cel with odd dimensions will make this one a little more challenging to frame. I'll probably have to cut the matte myself. That's the reason I have it now, so I can get it framed up. Also has the matching sketch. Here's the frame from the episode...

$2 can't be beat for that one. Greatness!

Anyway, I just got back from a day-trip to Atlanta. My gaming search turned-up nothing, but yielded this baby instead:

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i168/kyle152006/TwinPeaks.jpg

Twin Peaks Complete series box on VHS! Everything is in great condition, save for one soda stain on the slipcover of tape one. The box just had a bit of dust on it.
(Sorry for the stinky pic. My camera decided to act up...)

Total came to $5.29 at Goodwill. My first worthy find from them EVER.

How much are cells usually worth? There's someone selling a collection of these somewhat near me(well over an hour away by highway) but there's a lot of them so it's expensive.

What ever someone will pay, to be honest. That Eudial cel came in around $60.00, before the sale it was listed at $95.00. The best situations are people that sell cels because they enjoy collecting them and keeping them moving amongst people that enjoy them as well. It's like most art honestly. As I like to display my cels, I buy them for that reason, as something to hang on the wall and I stick to what I like. Really storing them away is what is best for the acetate but again, I like to display them so I watch what I spend. In fact the most I've ever spent on a single cel was several hundred on one for my girlfriend last Christmas of Mr. DNA from the animated sequence in Jurassic Park...

http://www.classicplastic.net/junk/JurassicPark-MrDNA.jpg

David, I wouldn't cut it up; I'd rather just get a frame big enough to hold it! I mean, come on. ^^;

I didn't mean the cel, I meant the matte frame when I go to frame it since I doubt I'll find a stock one that fits the image of the cel properly. I've custom cut them before, so it's no big deal. When I frame cels I like to show as much as possible while hiding the edge parts, registrations holes, sequence number, etc. Example, this cel was a large pan that needed a thicker matte on the top and bottom to balance the "image" of the cel better than the stock one that came with the frame...

http://www.classicplastic.net/anime/celpictures-Sakura02.jpg

The cel image ends like a 16th of an inch after the bottom edge in there.

Another example, only a very small portion of this cel is actually used, but I try to show as much as possible of the "image" - this one too goes right to the edge before the ink and paint end. I never like to see the edges of the ink or paint, but still want to see the maximum amount of finished work...

http://www.classicplastic.net/anime/celpictures-SailormoonS01.jpg

http://www.classicplastic.net/anime/celpictures-SailormoonS01sn.jpg

No need to worry, I don't trim cels. ;) The image of Eudial is nearly square however, the registration holes are only like two inches above the top of the Heart Blaster. The finished area at the bottom is about a half inch above the edge of the paint, so that's where that will have to end. The left and right sides are nearly right up to the edge. So the resulting "image" area is pretty close to square. Means finding a frame that will accommodate the entire sheet, and also a large enough matte that will look balanced all the way around.

I guess I could have just said "I said cut the matte, not the cel" but I don't mind talking about this stuff. ^^; Enough OT from me.

Over the past few days:

Sega Master System:
Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap (complete) - $10.98 shipped on Amazon

SNES:
Super Alfred Chicken (complete) - $5, purchased Saturday

I also got a new laptop with a built-in webcam on Saturday, so I figured I'd show off my new acquisitions. Not the best quality here, but hey, photos! I also threw in the copy of Cobra Command I got for a buck on Friday and the Hot Wheels Ecto-1 I got the same day.

And here are the SNES games I acquired earlier in the month:

Kawasaki Superbike Challenge and Vegas Stakes were a buck each, and Xardion was $2.50.

I picked up this used Foxconn GeForce 8400 GS 256MB PCI-E card for five bucks. Why? Because I'd rather take the risk and try out this than keep using the crappy PCI video card I've been stuck with for the past two weeks!

I also picked up these two CDs for $3 at the same booth.

Oh yeah, the grumpy old geezer that sold me Final Fight Guy last week brought a ton of PS2 games. I browsed them and noticed Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner! So I pick it up... and there's no disc! I take the empty case (with manual) to him and ask him if he'd sell it to me.

He says no.

I shrug, put the case back on the table, and leave. I would've paid five bucks for the set, but whatever.

I hit several stores today, all I found were a couple of Colecovision controllers in a baggie for $3.99. Unfortunately, on the way home, a tiny pebble hit my windshield and left a little crack. A minute later that crack suddenly spread a couple feet. I'll end up blowing $250 to get the damn windshield replaced, and knowing my luck that one will get cracked less than a week later. Today's not my lucky day. And I haven't even gone to work yet.

I already have. This happened with my last car. My deductible was $250. The windshield? $249.02. And then two weeks later, a pick-up truck I was driving behind drove over a piece of brick and shot it at my windshield. Luckily, it was at such an angle it skipped off like a flat stone on a lake, just leaving a little scrape in the glass. I'm hoping the same thing doesn't happen again.

It REALLY depends on what the subject matter is, the poses, the cartoon/movie its from, original vs. litho/sericel, backgrounds real/copy or none, not to mention condition, with/without the pencils and if it's framed or not. In my parents house we've got nothing but animation up on the walls. There are no family portraits etc. it's all animation or other related works. Most of our stuff is Disney/WB related, with some other stuff thrown in for good measure and even the cheap stuff has never been less than a few hundred. Lots of stuff used to sell for crazy money (i'm talking Disney/WB), but unless its an important scene, with good poses most of it has drastically fallen to the wayside.

There is little reason to buy so many cels, that are going to need framing/matting that you won't have the wall space for unless there are some serious keepers that you have a deep love for and don't mind the very slow process to try and sell off the duplicates.

I was slightly interested in the Card Captor Sakura cells but I don't think I'll buy the lot just to get those. It would probably be too much of a pain to sell off the extras separately, I don't know much about cells as I've never bought or sold any before. If each cell were worth hundreds then I'd take the time to split them up, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.

So last night I came in a few minutes before my shift at goodwill to see if they had anything, and the game Nemesis for gameboy was sitting in the showcase...sealed, for $4. They wouldn't let me buy it because it wasn't out for a half hour and thats the policy. So I came in at 9:30 this morning and it was gone...but I found other stuff, so it was ok.

pee-wee's playhouse Vol. 1 & 2 (VHS): $4 each (8-tape box set each)
Zelda:Oracle of ages $1 (lost my copy long ago)
SNES w/super scope, 2 controllers, super scope 6 and yoshi safari: $25
Top-loading NES w/ 2 dog bone controllers, super mario 3: $40

after my employee discount it came out to $56...not that bad.

I've had so few finds during past few months, that I decided to wait until I had a decent amount of stuff before I posted them on here. Anyway, on with list:

Loco Roco 2 for $9.99 (New)

Tinhead for $5.00 (Used, CIB) - I had never heard of this Genesis game before, so I wanted to give it a try. It reminds a bit of the Vectorman games.

Sega Genesis Game Genie for $7.00 (Used, Loose) - I've been using this to beat some of my more difficult games. (I'm looking at you, High Seas Havoc!)

SNES Game Genie for $15.00 (Used, Loose) - I bought this so I could use it as a passthrough converter for my copy of Seiken Densetsu 3. But unfortunately it didn't work like I'd hoped.

I also picked up a couple of decent DVDs:

Disney's The Adventures of the Gummi Bears Vol. 1 for $12.99 (Used) I loved this series as a kid, so I just had to get it.

Pom Poko for $5.99 (Used) - This is one of the few Studio Ghibli films I hadn't seen yet.

Sailor Moon S Complete TV Series Boxset for $19.99 (Used) - This SM set and other one listed below were an lucky find at a local pawn shop. Both sets are missing their outer boxes, and the discs show a little wear and tear. However, they have been out of print for five years now, so they're still quite a steal. :D And yes, they are the official Region 1 sets from Geneon/Pioneer.

It's not a profit if I have to sell them to pay bills, now is it?

Besides, I'm bundling the Office 2003 with my copy of 2007; There's a few eBay software resellers that buy stuff from me, and one might be interested. Then he or she can flip it and we're both happy.

Yes, that's correct. However, some resellers usually have a way of finding out how many installs they have left. They may be authorized Microsoft resellers, for example.

That's why I want to sell these to a reseller.

You can get around that by contacting Microsoft.
http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/mpa.aspx

Product Activation keeps users from changing or upgrading their hardware.
Not true at all. Users can change or upgrade their hardware. One of the forms of piracy that Product Activation guards against is hard disk imaging. Not all forms of hard disk imaging are illegal. In the case where a pirate copies data from one PC hard drive to another to illegally run the software on two PCs, Product Activation stops that by forcing the copied software to be reactivated. It does so by comparing the hardware on which it was activated to the hardware on which it is now being booted. If the hardware is substantially different, then reactivation is required. If it is the same or similar, then the software will continue to work. Those who upgrade their PC's hardware substantially may be asked to reactivate. Reactivation for this reason is easy and can be completed by contacting Microsoft to obtain another confirmation ID.

Just contact Microsoft and explain that your computer died and you had to get a new one to replace it. That should work.

Eventually you will see a rerelease on DVD in the USA, may be a few years off still, but it will happen. The value has leveled off thankfully, about $100.00 per season give or take. Of course I sold my translated manga books (my "keep set" the "read set" was sold off years ago before the value peaked) for the $450 I used to buy my Galaxian cocktail table, so I really can't talk.

Well I came back from my trip to California on Saturday, but all my stuff didn't come until today. I was planning on uploading it with pictures and that junk, but of course my phone breaks and I forget to take the pictures off of it. So instead here's the text only. Yeah I could take photos agin, but I'm lazy. If someone really doesn't believe me I'll give pictures...

Upstart Crow
Atari Gum - $4
Mini Chain Chomp - $8
Mini Yoshi - $5

The first place I bought at was a shop on City Walk. I saw a Kirby plushie and had to stop in. Really didn't like the prices, but I figured I would never see those things again. Of course I saw most of the stuff they sold at other places I went for probably cheaper prices.

Game Dude
Castlevania III Dracula's Curse (Loose)
Psycho Fox (CIB plus it is the label error)
Diddy Kong Racing (With Box, no inserts)
$51 total

I first made sure to stop at Game Dude since it was the only game store on the retro game map. I also happened to have ordered something from them years ago. It was a good store in terms of inventory and having fair prices, but I didn't care for the environment. It was just way to crowded for my taste. Of course maybe its the area and the fact that it was Saturday afternoon. Otherwise I was happy with my purchases. Diddy Kong Racing I happened to have the instruction booklet for at home from when I used to own the game, so my game is more complete than before.

Aaah's
UHF Movie Poster
Star Trek Poster
(Prices elude me)

I stopped at this place called Aaaah's, which reminded me of Spencer's, as my cousin mentioned that they had some interesting shirts. I passed on the shirts but my dad, brother, and I picked up some posters in the back. The UHF poster looked original as it still had folds in it. The Star Trek Poster was just a nice painting-like picture of all the main crew on the bridge.

Blast from the Past
Super Mario Bros. (Movie) Iggy Action Figure NIB - $8
Invader Zim Patch - $3
Cartoon Cartoons (Comic) #27 - $2.50
Cartoons Cartoons (Comic) $17 - $2.50
Animaniacs (Comic) #36 - $2.99
Animaniacs (Comic) #19 - $3.99

My cousin told had us stop at Blast From the Past as he mentioned it was a collectibles place. It was actually our destination for one of the days we went out. I was hoping to find video games there, but they didn't have any. The closest I got was the Super Mario Bros. action figure, which the guy mentioned having sold one earlier that day to someone who worked on the movie. Unfortunately it was a Koopa action figure. The comics I just got because they seemed interesting and the Zim patch I got be cause I'm a fan of the show.

Frank & Sons Collectible Show
Sonic CD (CIB) - $15
Bible Adventures (black, loose) - $5
Elevator Action (loose) - $3
Gun.Smoke - $4
Animaniacs (comic) #13 - $1
Set of 8 Dragon Ball Z figurines - $10

Frank & Sons was the closest I got to a flea market. The place though was full of a bunch of regular vendors though instead of the garage sale type people who come to flea markets. Still, I did find some interesting things. I feel like I over payed for Sonic CD, but I rarely see it in the wild and have been wanting a copy for a while. One interesting thing I saw was a vendor with two Pioneer Laseractives. They wanted $500 for them, which I guess is fair enough. I also saw my first R.O.B. that day, but it wasn't for sale.

GamePlay
Sub-Terrania (Loose) - $1.95
Glover (Loose) - $.95

SpinFusion
Bomberboy (Import for GB, loose) - $6.95

On my second to last day in California I went to a car museum and after my dad, cousin, and I went to a place to eat that was a bit far away. On the way there I was on the look out for game store and managed to find a few. I went to three, but only bought at the two listed above. Both I think were actually owned by the same people. Sub-Terrrania and Glover I was looking for casually and feel that what I paid was a good price. Bomberboy I just bought because I wanted an import game and that was the cheapest game they had that I would be able to play. It was actually marked Bomberman, but it turned out to be Bomberboy when I plugged it in. Seems like a fun game, a shame it wasn't a Japanese exclusive since it would be nicer to own that...

Anyway, those are all my purchases. I spent a lot, but I'm happy with what I got. Plus my parents helped pay for some of it as my dad pretty much insisted he'd pay. I'll still have to see if I have money for anything I'll find in July.

Very nice. The thinpacks had a period of time when they were still affordable but that too has changed.

That much ? Damn I'll keep an eye for those.

We were talking absolutely mint unread, fresh from the shipping cartons condition for the books. From one collector and moonie to another, so it was a very mutually satisfactory transaction.

Yes, that's correct. However, some resellers usually have a way of finding out how many installs they have left. They may be authorized Microsoft resellers, for example.

That's why I want to sell these to a reseller.

I have that same version. I bought it used, and have installed it myself on 4 occcasions. I think It only really runs the risk if more than 3 licences per keycode are running simultaniously.

Kitsune - Yeah, I guess that would be kind of weird contacting him randomly. Maybe send him a message with a link to the auctions asking if he's interested? I forgot to contact him a couple weeks ago and listed student & teacher edition for $50 + shipping and $55 + shipping for one in a big cardboard box and he bought them so I would list them at about that price.

My last finds of June were a bare "High Definition Graphics" Genesis Model 1 and a bare non-yellowed SNES for $7.99 each but I had a 30% off coupon so subtract a couple of bucks each. Both work great but needed some cleaning, otherwise awesome shape.

Also got this beauty in the mail from a youtube buddy :D

Please tell me these will be watched. Love Sailor Moon, but the secondary market prices of the DVDs and pretty much everything else related make me sad. I look forward to the day where one of the Funimation guys throws his hand in the air, and says, "Screw the bootleggers! We have Sailor Moon!". Wouldn't that be swell? :D

I bought these SM sets for my personal anime collection, so I'm not planning on selling them. I've been watching more of the SuperS set, since I haven't seen this series since it aired on TV.

Sailor Moon S is my personal favorite though. I already own a couple of separate volumes of the SMS series, but it's nice to finally have the the complete set. Now I just have to decide whether to sell my separate volumes, or keep them as backups.

I ended out the month by stopping at a local Goodwill that I don't go to very often, but I found a slim PS2 for $3.99. It was missing the controller, but it had the power cord, AV cables, and a copy of Lego Indiana Jones inside. It also works great, so it was an awesome find.
