It's been a while since I posted in this thread. Anyway...

Finished Prototype (360) this afternoon. Decent game with dashes of awesomeness at times. As far as superpowered sandbox games go, Prototype is one of the better ones (I enjoyed Crackdown and Infamous more).

The game really ratchets up the difficulty in the last few missions...wow. It's quite a shock to breeze through the first 27 missions then...bam. Irratating, pull-your-hair-out cheap deaths, bullshit slowdown at the worst possible times, missiles coming out of nowhere. Classic B-game offenses. Still, as a whole, it was fun.

Finished GTAIV: The Lost and Damned this morning. I played through most of it this past June. Little did I know I was only 2 missions away from the end. I picked it up this morning and I was done with the story in 20 minutes. Didn't expect that. Great expansion to a great game. Can't wait for the next episode later this month.

What a quirky little game. It's a nice little adventure staring Tails. Mostly a platformer, with some item-hunting mixed in, sprinkled with a few simple puzzles. The game isn't particularly good with communicating what it wants the player to do, but it's not that bad. Worth a playthrough.

Castlevania Aria of Sorrow on Hard mode using a new character. Defeated Chaos and got the good ending at level 39. Also beat DBZ Legacy of Goku 2 a second time, which I still have yet to start up the first game.

I finished Dragon Quest V (DS) yesterday. Managed to beat it under 34 hours or so. For whatever reason, DS RPG's usually take me months, but this one ended up only taking a few weeks. Great game, can't wait for DQ6 and DQ9.

I loved this. Then again, I love the Dragon Quest series. I'm going to assume that most people are more familiar with Dragon Quest 8 than any other DQ game, as it's the most accessible one at the moment. Well, DQ4 is much easier and requires much less grinding, but has all the other things that makes the DQ series great. A must play for any fan or anyone looking for a traditional RPG experience.

Freakin' Finally! Took me about three weeks of playing this game about once a day to beat it. I would say that this is easily my least favorite Mario game--I enjoyed Mario is Missing more than this.

Finished Demon's Souls again, this time on the hard mode.

Also, Castlevania Circle of the Moon's Magician Mode for the third time, about an hour, less than 60% map completion, and under level 40. My first Gameboy Advance game. I would have picked up a GBA regardless, but I picked it up at release along with this game because I love Castlevania. I had no other game but I needed no other, this is an amazing game.

My favorite exploration CV and would be my favorite GBA game if FF6 wasn't ported to the system. The only thing I don't like about the game is how much of the castle has the Sinking Old Sanctuary theme. Need some variety come on.

I beat Star Wars - Dark Forces for the PC just a few minutes ago. Pretty good game. A little irritating in some places. Definitely dated in terms of graphics and especially in terms of audio. Ugh. MIDI music.

I admit to cheating, well, sort of: I used the auto-fire feature on the MadCatz Xbox lightgun; then again, without it, the game is impossible! Without the auto-fire, I can sometimes get to the end boss, but that's it.

My motivation for beating the game was to unlock HotD2. I have HotD2 for the Dreamcast, but the disk is scratched, so some levels won't play; now I can finally bask in the wonderful voice-acting of HotD2 once again!

I finished Star Wars: The Force Unleashed last night. Total game time 6 hours 3 minutes...yup, it's a pretty short game. Fun game though and well worth the $20 Amazon is charging. One of the better SW games I've played (and I've played them all).

I actually beat both of these in the summer, before I started posting in this thread. Both of them are 100% complete, two of a very small number of games I've done this for. I've slowly been working on the third one, but that's probably the last Spyro game I'll play. The new ones are grade A crap.

Finished up story mode on expert guitar, I'll play through on bass and vocals eventually. I really liked this game's presentation, some of the song sequences are really cool, and it was a nice effect instead of just having the Beatles play in a recording studio for half of the songs.

Ys was really fun to play through again, it had been a few years since I last played it and this version for the DS, based on Ys Complete for the PC, was a fun little game. It only lasted about five hours, but there's still more Ys to be had with the second game also on this DS card.

I beat CSI: Hard Evidence (Xbox 360). The character's graphics were plastic-y* and the cases were easy. I'm glad that I got this game for $2.50, because it definitely wasn't worth it's original price. I'd give it a 5/10. The game is exceedingly average, but slightly enjoyable for a CSI fan. I only beat it for the 1000 gamer points. There's a possible 1200 that you can get if you collect all the evidence, all of Grissom's bugs (yes, his bugs), and get "master" ranking on all 5 cases. This game has no replay value because once you beat one case you don't want to do it all over again. One thing that bothered me was that the last case of the game was easier than the case before it. The only differing thing about the last case is that you had to process a lot more evidence, which made it take longer to complete.

/end mini rant/review.

I have so many unfinished games that it's not even funny. Meh, I might finish Ninjatown (DS) or even Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. I'm also doing a second playthrough of Beautiful Katamari (Xbox 360)

Just beat Wanted on 360. An interesting game with some cool moments but the aiming had many moments of being off and the control scheme in general neeeded some work. The story was ok though and since I only spent $12.48 to buy this game new I didn't feel that bad afterwards. Stranglehold is a much better third person shooter though.
