Garou Mark of the Wolves. While I did die quite a bit, it's because I'm new at the game and at the default arcade difficulty level. However. I did go through the entire game with Rock without using any of the continue bonus' like the enemy starting with 1/4 life, etc. I think I'm better with him than I was when I first started and just learned that you can use a low special and a high special.
One thing that does piss me off about the AI is that not only are they good(better than me on average) but they gain special about two times faster than the player does. This is the same thing that pisses me off on Hyper Street Fighter 2, except Hyper Street Fighter 2 is an ass raping difficulty ontop of the 400% special gain the enemy has.
I think I'll continue playing as Rock until I'm pretty good with him and decide to move onto someone else.

In my excitement for The Lost & Damned I thought I'd better finish up the main game, which I hadn't touched for months and months. Upon loading my save file I found I'd previously put 45 hours into it. Another 20 hours later and I finished the story! I love this game. Played another 5 hours or so after I'd finished the game before buying the DLC. However, I need to go back and do many many more things still though.

The first Xbox Live Community game I bought. I first played it a couple of weeks ago and loved the art style and the music and the gameplay. Went back to it tonight and finished up all the levels. Then I went back to the first half of all the levels and got an A ranking on them. I might try to get an A ranking on the second half of the levels but its probably too hard.

Phinally phinished Phantasy Star. Exceptionally well-programmed and produced, it definitely had me questioning why I waited to long to crack into the series. I'm bummed the 3D dungeons are gone in the sequels, but I'm now looking forward to dusting off the Genesis and firing up the rest of the series. I just fear for my work productivity in the coming months! ;)

I remember reading a lot of bitching about this game. Oh, it was this, it was that. While the controls are wonky as all hell on a D-Pad, the game itself is solid as a rock. Some of the best music the Sonic series has to offer (and that's saying something) coupled with creative levels and a mild difficulty. Simmer in a bath of boiling awesome, serves between 3 and 12 hours of entertainment.

This game wouldn't be so bad if it actually had usable controls. Ignoring that, it's not THAT bad of a game. And by that I mean, it's playable. For some reason, it has a rather complicated system for determining what storyline you're following and an assload of useless unlockables. Hmm.
As a side note, my Wii freaked right the fuck out when I tried to load this game the first time.

After playing SF4 at a friends house and then trying out the SF2 Hyper Fighting demo had to give the original game a run through. The slower pace and limited moveset compared to modern beat-em-ups make it seem a lot more obviously tactical rather than "oh, lets button mash). And each boss felt like a boss to suss out. Anyway, went through on default difficulty with Ryu. Maybe some more SF games are going to appear on this list sometime...

This is one of those games that no one talks about and you suddenly discover one day. It has such bad reviews, but I thought it was great fun. It's not like other Sonic games, no high speed anything. More of a slow explorer game. I didn't much care for the time limit, personally, but I figure the game would be way too easy without it. I'd suggest any Sonic fan sit down with this and give it an honest try.

Nis is becoming my second favorite developer behind Level 5 because that game was cool but challenging, but as the weather gets better I'll be playing a bit less.

I fail to understand why this game is hailed as one of the greatest Sonic game ever made. Nice music, yes. Confusing level design, unclear objectives and sketchy controls, yes. As far as Sonic games go, it's fun and all, but I just don't see the perfection that all the reviews scream about.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. On one hand, it's a great game with plenty of cool additions to everything from the previous game. On the other hand, it's way too easy when compared to it's predecessor. Playing this makes me wonder how the canceled PS2 game would have been.
Edit: How did that angry face get up there? I didn't select that.....

Resident Evil 5 (360). The overall feeling I have (now that I'm done) is it wasn't as good as RE4. Kind of disappointing in a way. I have no desire to run through the game again. When I finished RE4, I immediately started up a new game...not this time.
