(Lol, also posted this in the May finds not realizing today was June 1st.)
Lot sale again today.
Not much game stuff, but I did get a big pile o' car electronics, including a Mercedes Benz CD changer (http://cgi.ebay.com/MERCEDES-MC3010-FIBER-OPTIC-6-DISK-CD-CHANGER-PLAYER-/310221650581?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483aa6ba95). O_O. Sometimes I wonder how stuff gets here.... That particular one I'm going to try to sell for $150-200, since it's in really nice shape and it has the magazine inside and mounting bracket attached. Also in the pile was a 1970s GM cassette player, probably $30, a Sherwood car amp, and a MTX crossover, $40 and $30 respectively on eBay.
Although, I did get a small amount of video game stuff. I got another orphaned PSOne system (DB is mind controlling me LOL) and a Ti-99/4A Mini Memory Command Module.

So remember when I mentioned that some lady picked up a box of CDs and DVDs and wouldn't let it go? Well, that box was at that booth today. Something tells me she didn't want to pay the asking price for the stuff. Unsurprising, really.

Lost Planet: Colonies Edition and MVP Baseball 2005 were $2 each (from the mystery box from last week), Wheel Of Time was $1.
I picked up Lost Planet because Capcom screwed over those of us who already owned Lost Planet and they didn't release any sort of update to the game to make it Colonies Edition. :p I hope it works. MVP Baseball's going to eBay.

The Rockman X manual was a nice surprise; not as nice as when the Salvation Army clerk rang the whole thing up for $.99 though.

I don't know how it plays on PC, but MVP 2005 was one of my favorite baseball games ever. I bought 2004 and 2005 when they came out on GameCube, I played most of a season in 2004, and in 2005, played through all 162 games, and all playoff games. Only losing 4 games all season. THAT GAME WAS DA BOMB.
Sorry, just wanted to throw in my two cents.

Yes, I've heard nothing but good stuff about the game. I don't know why it just... stopped in 2005, EA obviously had something good going for it.

I could be wrong but I think 2K bought the rights to MLB just like EA bought the rights to the NFL

I could be wrong but I think 2K bought the rights to MLB just like EA bought the rights to the NFL
From Wiki...
In 2005, in response to EA Sports' exclusive license with the National Football League and ESPN prohibiting any NFL 2K games for the foreseeable future, Take-Two Interactive signed an exclusive third-party licensing contract with Major League Baseball (MLB), MLBPA and MLBAM to produce MLB games. The agreement, which runs from Spring 2006 to 2012, allows for the console manufacturers Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo to produce MLB titles for their respective platforms, but bars third party developers such as EA Sports from continuing or developing their own MLB games.

I dunno whether to post this in June or May, but I won't be getting it until a few days, so I guess June...and it's still hinging on the unit actually working.

Yep, that's 0.99 for a CD-I. Well, $18 shipped. Not only mispelling Philips and spelling out Compact Disk Interactive, with a k in disc nonetheless, I'm pretty sure anyone looking for a CD-I missed this listing. I always wanted one, but didn't want to bite the bullet on $80-100. The A/V cables look standard, so that is easy, my one worry is the controller, which seem to be hard to come by on their own. I won't buy one until I can test the unit either. If it all works out in the end, I figured I saved myself $40-50, so crossing my fingers.

My 'finds' for the month so far:
http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/leewelk/P6020431.jpg
Umihara Kawase (SFC) - $49 CIB from ebay.
Dracula X (PCE) - $76 CIB off the 'bay. No obi strip, but who cares.
Three Dirty Dwarves (Saturn) - $14 from Hi-Score games at the Mall of America. This place is incredibly expensive...where else can you find a cart-only copy of SMB3 for $30? They did have a lot of nice stuff though, but goddamn....the prices!

Activision CD-R - $1
¡Policia! - A Tribute To The Police (no slipcover) - $1
Plastilina Mosh promo CD-R - $1
Sex-O-Rama 2 CD (music inspired by porn music) - $1
Microsoft Frontpage 2002 Upgrade, Windows ME NFR/OEM w/key, Macromedia Director 8.5 / Shockwave Studio, Fireworks 4, Coldfusion 5 Server - $6 total. Got a good deal on these.
Now, that Activision CD-R caught my eye because, well, it's Activision branded. :p I picked it up and looked at the disc... it's burned. After a few seconds it clicked - this is a proto / preview disc?! The internal code on the disc is "SLUS-200.48"... but that number was assigned to a game called "Legion: Legend of Excalibur"...
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2010-06-02b.jpg
I thought it said "F1", but it actually says "F4"... so ... is this an early version of Fantastic Four?

I have an Activision CD-R too, mine was mailed to me from Activision as a replacement disc to Wolfenstein 3D as my copy was missing Spear of Destiny. I was kind of upset as I wanted a factory pressed disc, but there's not really anything I can do about it. My CD-R has a printed label applied on it. I have no idea about your disc though, it could be an internal copy since the name is just written on it, or maybe some employee took some blank discs home for personal use. What's on your disc, does it play in your PC?

OMG...
It's an early version of a Fantastic Four game. I can't run it on my PS2 (it's not modded) but it kinda runs on pcsx2...
And it's got Burly Brawl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhB1Ig2HsHk) from The Matrix playing in the background after you clear the first area. O_o

That's an internal build, Kitsune. Congrats.
However, that date is extremely early if it were for Fantastic 4 PS2 (which was released 6/27/2005). Do what Gameguy suggested and see what you pull up on your PC.
EDIT: Very nice! Somewhat disturbing that they spent over 2 years on that game though. Too bad CD-Rs don't sell well as promos and it's a horrible game. Interesting piece nonetheless.

It's NOT the same game as the Fantastic 4 game (the movie one). This is an ENTIRELY different game that's based on the comics! Apparently the four are being held in some sort of VR setup; if you choose Reed you fight a clone of yourself, beat him, and escape. That's as far as I got, the emulator started getting all weird on me.
There's dev stuff in there too, apparently Mole Man is a boss in a level...

It appears I was mistaken... it's definitely an early build of the F4 movie game.
But this was made years before the movie was announced, so maybe they scrapped the game as it is on this disc and converted it to be more like the movie?

Or, the company that owns the license asked them to change the direction of the game. I've seen it happen more than once.

Yes, but this CD-R has one thing going for it. It's on official media. Those CD-R's are worth more and are in greater demand by those who collect prototype games of the optical media format. The downfall is that it's an early build of a game that wasn't very good in the first place. Especially when you don't know the source of the proto.
I can say that I prefer my protos to be on official media (when possible) because it helps to reduce to possibility that its a burn and not legit.

Yeah, I figured as much. It's neat... but I dunno what to ask for it. If I sold it. (Which I may in the future.) I'll keep it around, and make a few videos (if I can get a modded PS2).
Oh, this game doesn't seem to be that bad, I need to get a copy of the final version to compare.

It is possible though that he could make a bit more than normal since this is Fantastic 4. Not only would you have video game fans bidding for it, but comic book fans would also probably be interested in getting a hold of it.
Either way, it's a great find. I'd say to send an e-mail to Lost Levels as well about the find. It is pretty new, but they still may be interested in information about it.

Good thing it was thunderstorming today, or else I would have taken the motorcycle to work, and not had the car to go thrifting today!
My 3-year long quest to get replacement wavebirds was finally sucessful today! (My ex took our old ones, and I didn't want to pay $40-50 each for used ones)
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b48/SamuraiSmurfette/IMG00007-20100602-2109.jpg
Stupid thrift store priced the controllers at $3.99 each, and both of the receivers in a separate baggie for $3.99. I argued this at the register to no avail.
Also got GC powercord/RF adapter. I was short an AC cord, so this is good.
No system or games to be found anywhere in the store, but probably half a dozen wired first part controllers there that I passed on, as I don't need any more right now.
This is also the second 360 power brick I've gotten there. I figure a few years from now, when I start finding barebones consoles at thrifts and yard sales, I'll be happy to have these.
Also, what the heck is that BEE MARIO from? I havn't played a Mario game since World...
They also had a bowser the same size I really really wanted, but he was missing an eyebrow, so I left him there :(

All I bought today was Armor Attack and Spacechase for the Atari 2600, loose, for $1.99 each and Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves without an instruction manual for $9.99.
I only bought the copy of Spacechase because I've read that Games By Apollo made the offer to put people's names or initials into the game for a ridiculous amount of money. They only did ten of them or so, and there's no way of telling until you play one. So what the hey, I bought it hoping for the best. Haven't tried it out yet.

Picked up some Sega CD items from eBay, which arrived in horrible shape.
The person packed it in a flat-rate box with no padding at all. Everything was in decent shape before it was sent. Needless to say, this idiot is getting bad feedback unless he gives me a partial refund for all of the damage. I don't care if it was the post office's fault or if someone kicked the box around, you pack for the unexpected.
Sonic CD - Broken top hinge. Fell into my hand when I opened the box.
Chuck Rock II - Cracked front case, scuffed horribly
Night Trap (Red Box) - Box was shoved into the remaining space and crushed, inside holder ripped (couldn't see this in the image)
Corpse Killer (Sega CD) - Tiny bit crushed, otherwise okay
Lethal Enforcers (Big Box, Sega CD) - CD case is from Sherlock Holmes pack-in *shake fist*, but otherwise okay
Lethal Enforcers II (Sega CD) - Perfect condition (???)

Anyways, an eBay find arrived in the mail today. Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu for the NES. It was $9.99+$3.99 S&H, around $15 total. I consider this to be a find because this game is pretty uncommon, and it usually sells for more than that. It's in good shape and a great game. It's one of the few NES games that I've completely played through, and it's about time I got a copy.
Also got a PS2 Network adapter this morning, in mint unused condition (still has the rubber plastic-y thing around the HDD plug) for $3. I usually collect them and sell them in lots of 4 on eBay. I've got 2 so far.

Holy CRAP! Great haul! Lots of good stuff and plenty of common stuff you can flip and get some of your money back out of the cost. Nice.
I haven't found ONE thing this whole month yet, but today I did provide some people with some deals as I'm having a Yard sale and decided to unload a few extra games. I sold some Pokemon blue, red, and crystal for $7 each, about 15 Xbox games at $2 each, 4 N64 games for $20 and a few others. Basically I've gotten my money back out of them but not making any profit.

I got a tippmann 98 custom paintball gun with a nitrogen tank and a 20oz co2 tank for $11, also an upgraded barrel and a halo hopper on it. As far as gaming they had a psp for $20, and i got about 6 games and movies for $1 each with it. Then I bought a couple smartphones as well as an iphone with a cracked screen from them for cheap. They had 2 airsoft guns that were probably worth a few hundred for $10 each but another guy grabbed them before me. It was one of the best sales Ive been to in a while. They had a bmw and an audi in their driveway, and were just downsizing they said.
Later at a church sale picked up a garmin III plus gps for $10 as well as a few cds and a nip tuck season 2 dvd for .50 each. Cant wait to see what tomorrow and sunday bring. The annual townwide sale I go to every year on the first sunday in june is happening.

Pfft...
Gamestop = $45 for Ikaruga here, last I saw
That being said, there are 10 copies with 100 miles here...
Are you in "good standing" with any of the employees at your local store? If so, they may call one of those in if you ask. That's how I got mine yesterday.

Castlevania (Complete)
DuckTales (Boxed)
$9
Not really much (if any) of a deal here both missing the styrofoam blocks. Asked about games and this is some of what I saw out of a few games and I only bothered picking up these that I wanted complete for my collection, I have a manual for Ducktales. The girl selling these mentioned looking them up on a rarity list recently that was graded by letter that I'm guessing is the same one I'm thinking of. She didn't really know what was going on and thought she might have been shooting herself in the foot (I was told that DuckTales is kind of rare, wtf). She mentioned $5 at least a game, I tried to offer $10 for these and a boxed Roll 'n Rocker controller which was countered with $15. I almost just bought Castlevania for $5 but said I'd also take DuckTales if any better was done and took the offer of $9.
Asteroids (PS1, Complete)
Medal of Honor (PS1, Complete)
.25
Hoyle Casino (Dreamcast, Complete)
Tomb Raider III (PS1, Disc Only)
Rascal (PS1, No Manual)
About 30 PC Games (Mostly Disc Only & Not Pictured)
Free
All of the free stuff was from a few free boxes filled with what was mostly bootleg PC games & programs but with some retail stuff mixed in. The PS1 games were brought out when I asked about old games and were a dime each but I told them I wasen't worried about a nickel since I grabbed some stuff out of the free box.

I picked mine for $40 a while back that was in mint condition from my local GameStop and got a Buy2Get1 with some other games that made it worthwhile, so I'm not too concerned. I'm not much of a reseller anyhow.

Got the following off of CL for $70 yesterday
Freaking incredible. Around here on CL or Kijiji, anything older than an xbox or PS2 is so overpriced its insane. You got a steal there. I see a lot of fantastic deals coming outta California.

I did garage sales today....
Not much game stuff but I did get a few interesting electronics. The most notable things were a Keytek CTS-400 synthesizer and a pair of Pioneer Monitor 10II headphones.
Keytek was a line of keyboards made by the independant synthesizer company, Siel. These synths were made in the late 80s in Italy. Siel went bankrupt not too long after starting the Keytek line, and Roland bought them out. My synthesizer is FILTHY, and will need a good cleaning. It's an interesting thing, I could tell it was an 80s synth, and when I saw it was made in Italy it piqued my interest. It was only $5 so I couldn't leave it. This was at a church sale. It looks like a digital synthesizer, and it's very light. I don't know what to expect this thing to sound like....
The second notable thing was a pair of Pioneer Monitor 10II headphones. For all my recording I use AKG K240 Monitor headphones, btw. I almost left them but something made me do a quick Google search on this model of headphones. Looks like the Pioneer Monitor 10 headphones are very good, fidelity wise, and they bring a pretty penny on eBay. Mine is a transitional model, and I haven't been able to find much information about them. They look cool nevertheless, and I might end up using them. They were $5.
Oh, and for some GODFORSAKEN REASON I bought a "Sponk" boglin today, with the original box, $1.
:( I just realized that the CTS-400 uses some ridiculous 5 or 6 pin power supply. I've never seen anything like it! It doesn't help that it's an obscure model synthesizer by an even more obscure maker. I'm going to have to get out the screwdriver, open it up, and see if it's marked on the circuit board. It going to be a lot of trouble to manually wire power to it, if that's even possible.

Black Dahlia, Time Machine, Sonic Mega Collection disc only - $2 total, originally $2 each. Looks like Time Machine is worthless but I can sell Black Dahlia for 10 bucks or so. Keeping Sonic

5 bucks total for the N64 and NES. One of the NES controllers has a cool sticker on it
http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff73/pogeyman101/P6050142.jpg
TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus for $5 total. 83 turns off after a second if it is moved at all, if I can't get it to work I can still get $50 for the 84 so I don't really care.

NHL 03, Namco Museum, Wipeout 3 and Seaman were 25 cents each. DIdn't really want them but the money was going to a youth group and they were only a quarter, so why not?

L'Arc~en~Ciel - Awake (Tofu Records US Edition)
-This is a nice release... comes with a separate little booklet of romanized lyrics. Good stuff.
Utada - Exodus (Island US Edition)
-Not sure what to think of this one. Hearing her in English reminds me of '97-2000 female pop. Meh.
Mortal Kombat Trilogy (PSX GH)
-A bit scratched, but plays fine. Already threw this one up on Goozex.
Definitely some stuff I didn't expect to find there. I was absolutely stunned to see some JRock in the CD bin. Not import, but at least they're not the usual bootlegs!

Mario PVC Figurines, brand new. These are the figures you could get at Sunoco Gas Stations. From 1989.
Lego Minifigs $1 for all at a yardsale. I will ALWAYS buy lego that's cheap, especially minifigs. I love this stuff, but really only collect a few series (Ninja, pirate and knight) So these will probably be going up for sale too.
