Tough call - but probably Yu Yu Hakushu (the Treasure one) for the Megadrive. Also have a PAL Alien Soldier (but I'm not convinced this game is really that rare..)

I also have Snatcher for the Mega CD (PAL). That's about as rare as my games get..

I may have to change my answer for my rarest PS1 game. Granted, Nichibutsu Arcade Classics (http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/edit/nichi/) and Hyper Crazy Climber (http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/edit/hcc/) seem to fetch insane prices on a fairly regular basis, but I just received today a game that took me four years of hunting to find, IREM Arcade Classics.

http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/edit/irem/box.jpg

Finally, I can play Zippy Race (a.k.a. Motorace USA) on my Playstation! :D

http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/edit/irem/game2.jpg

Best part about it? Due to some collective not-noticing-the-thing cloud that seemed to affect everyone on eBay except for me, I scored this puppy for its opening bid of twenty bucks. (To give you a clue, my max bid was...well, insane.) I've had it in my hot little hands for just over 16 hours now, and I'm very pleasantly surprised. It was, indeed, worth the wait.

I'll have a full write-up in my Retro Revivals (http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/edit) section sometime by year's end. In the meantime, sleepy though I am, I've gotta race that motorcycle one more time.

Hi Tyler!, i´m Matías, a vg collector from Argentina and i am also the webmaster of the unique site dedicated to vg collectors in my country and also, the page contains information for all the systems. I found your site searching Master System (because this is my favourite system) and it´s cool.
Well, i want to know if you want to do a banner exchange, because your site is great and also, you help me to show my site around the world, because many times people thinks that here in Southamerica there are no collectors.
My site is called "Arqueología Digital", here it´s the url: http://arquedigi.8m.com
Well, that´s all, i´ll wait for your answer and i hope you accept
Best regards

Matias

SNES - I found a copy of Incatation today (which incidently is how I ended up here). I also have all the popular RPG's except for BoF 2 and Lufia 2. All are loose unfortunately.

NES - Not really sure, I don't own the book... :( . Dragor warrior 1-4, Tengen Pac-Man, plus many others of uncertain value. Again all are loose.

Genesis: PS 2-4, Gunstar Heros, Faery Tale Adventure, Sorcerer's Kingdom... (loose)

Saturn: (complete!) Magic Knight Rayearth, Panzer Dragoon 1-2, Shining the Holy Ark, Shining Wisdom

Those are the only systems I'm collecting for right now.

Because I've only recently become obsessed with collecting, my puny rarities are recent stuff: Fox Hunt and Psychic Detective for the PS1, and Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Saturn. Whoop-ti-do.

I think I have a decent selection of some of the rarer PS1 games, but nothing super rare.

I also have a Street Fighter II HuCard with this big adapter thingy and MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM CROSS DIMENSION 0079 for Super Famicom. I don't know if either is rare, but I don't exactly see them choking up the bins.

X_x I actually have an Atari Orbit in the original cabinet. I needs a little help but its pretty frickin' rare if you ask me. I have even been in contact with the programmer...his name is Owen Rubin...real nice guy.

personally, I think my rarest game is either my Mint (but not sealed) copy of Shining Force III for Saturn, or possibly the mint-but-not-sealed Xenogears. I've played neither one as I currently have somewhere near 12 RPGs I've yet to play and 16 or so I need to beat.

Super Nintendo: Q-Bert 3 (loose), Liberty or Death (with instructions), Super Bonk (loose), Sonic the Hedgehog (loose), Tekken 2 (loose)

Uh... Sonic on the SNES? Again, I'm new to the collector side of gaming but I'm a touch skeptical of this. Was there a SNES Sonic?

Well, I have the rom for it. Seems to be some kind of pirate hack.

I have some that are in demand, and harder to find, but not really "rare" as in severely limited quantities. By rare, I assume something that you wouldn't normally find on a particular day of Ebay searching. Some things I have are "rare" because they are comlete and in demand such as Phantasy Star CIB, Secret of Mana CIB, Chrono Trigger CIB, etc., but they can be had for a price.

I have several carts that are "rare" as in you can't find them, but don't know which one should be considered the single rarest...it would all depend upon who you asked...

Beamrider Prototype for Intellivision

River Raid Prototype for Intellivision

Fathom for Intellivision CIB (Bought new myself)

Tengen Tetris for NES CIB (Bought new myself)

Vectrex Art Master w light pen

Beat 'em and Eat 'em / Lady in Wading double ender for 2600

Mine would be:

Atari2600:
Pengo

Vic-20:
Star Battle

NES:
Maxi-15 (unlicensed)

StarBattle was an amazing steal. I found it for 1$ (Canadian! That's $0.50US :) ) at a lovely second hand dive. I didn't even have a Vic-20 yet. I just knew I had to snatch it up. Found a Vic-20 a week later :)[/u]
