dude, you actually OWN What's Shenmue? wow, I've been looking for that one for a long time.... Do you have any idea (besides Ebay) where I may be able to get a copy of What's Shenmue?[/quote]

Yes, I own one. I actually had a few not too long ago, but sold them all. I'm down to my last one, and am keeping it. :(

If you want a sneak preview, go to my site. I subtitled a video from the disc, and put it in the bonus section. It rocks. :)

My rarest item would have to be a Brazilian 208 in one built-in clone atari system that has a game on it not previously known to exist.

Other than that, I have a bunch of 9s and 10s for the 2600 and some rare oddities for the 5200.

I have a complete and never opend, still in its original packaging.
Nintendo Entertainment system with gun. Sealed in 1983.

I came across it at a resale shop with zelda (unopened).

It is the prize of my collection.

Anyone know what it might be worth?

Not sure what it's worth, probably a couple of hundred, but I'm pretty sure that the US NES wasn't introduced until after 1983.

Sealed? And Chad's right, NES wasn't in the US until 1985, the gun set you have might even be 1986 or so.

A very nice find though!!

Don't know how rare they are, but the ones that I paid the most for on Ebay:

NES: The Adventures of Gilligan's Island ($40 complete)

JAGUAR: Atari Karts ($80 sealed)

SMS: Chuck Rock II: Son of Chuck (Australian release, $30 complete)

Plus I have built a collection of about 40 ATARI 7800 games, all complete (some sealed).

rarest game, as in lowest # produced?
isn't Bazooka Blitzkrieg for the SNES rare as hell? but absolutely no one cares? cause i have a complete one in excellent shape.

i see alot of games being listed here that aren't really all that rare. but i guess it's all relative. cause i have shit like Radiant Silvergun, Guardian Heroes, Dragon Force, Gunstar Heroes, blah blah blah, and while most of it is worth alot or sought after, they're really not all that rare. i mean, go do a search on ebay for radiant silvergun or dragon force, and see how many turn up, and do the same for bazooka blitzkrieg.

now, i'm not saying that my 1 really rare (i think) game makes me better or anything. i'm not saying that at all. and i'm not saying that radiant silvergun isn't the rarest game in your collection, or that you can't be pround of it. just that rarity is diffrent than what most people think. and this is a question of straight rarity, is it not?

A few months ago, after a period of not finding any new 2600 games in the wild (not counting dealers or the internet), I found the Smurfs KidVid game with the 3 cassettes for $4. No box, docs, or KidVid controller (believe me, I looked). So if that's more rare than a boxed no docs Meteorites, I need to change mine.

I'm not too sure if this is a rare item or just everyone wants it, but I have a complete earthbound for the SNES... If thats not rare, I have this thing called Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. I don't know if any of you heard of this before, but it came with a system called the NEP... or was it NES... I can't remember. :D

Super Mario/ Duck Hunt? You must be joking, because that may just be the most common game on the planet... No offense.
Anyone who knows what Nintendo is, should know that Super Mario/ Duck Hunt was for the NES (Not NEP). ...And your rank says "Canadian NES Collector"... Anyways, now you know... :hmm: (I hope that was a joke.)

My rarest is Brain Dead 13 on the PS1. It's like new. I have sold a lot of my collection many times over. The only reason the Brain Dead 13 is still around is becuase it doesn't seem to be in demand on eBay. I keep telling myself "One day I can keep it all. Patience" :sob:

Despite being a young collector, I have managed to collect several rare games for my pitiful collection of system. My rarist games would have to be Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt for NES, and Combat and ET for the 2600. Nothing else really comes close to the rarity those carts have...... :P @_@

All things considered, my true rarest items would be my SMS 3D Glasses.... and maybe one or two of my VB games.....

I have a quite few rare items, no original prototypes but I have a few betas :)

I would probably say my rarest games are these:

Final Fantasy for the MSX by Micro Cabin

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles GameCube Bundle, only 150pcs and where only available through a contest in a gaming magazine in Japan.

Complete set of Final Fantasy XI betas (3 PS2 Japanese versions, 1 PC Japanese version, 1 PS2 USA version and 1 PC USA version)

Genso Suikoden III Premium Package (Japanese PS2) definately one of the coolest packages I have and comes in a box that looks like a hollowed out hard cover book :)

Not much, I don't think. But...

Harvest Moon 64 (CIB, N64 -- I've heard it's on the rare side)
Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask gold versions (both CIB, N64)

Test Drive II: The Duel (CIB, Genesis -- hard to find the cardboard box!)
Sonic and Knuckles (IB, no manual, Genesis -- another tough box to find)

I did have a copy of Madden Championship Edition (the Blockbuster-only version) for Genesis, but it has since changed hands. I'm not that into variations, usually...

I'll post my collection on my site soon, I just need to get some other stuff finished and take pictures... :)

Or maybe it's the US version of Jack Bros. for the VB, but I don't have the box for it. I never thought it would be that rare, but I guess I should've known, because I had a very hard time finding it, even when the VB was still on the market. There was only one store I know of here in Houston that ever had it, and I don't think that they ever had very many of them either, because I got the very last one (only one?) they had. Sure glad I did too. I do wish that I had saved the box instead of just throwing it away though.
