As of right now and probably for a long time it's my Super Star Fox Weekend Cart (R9) SNES. I was amazed when I found it for ten bucks I don't normally pay that much for SNES games but I made an exception on that one :D .

As of now... hmmm... hard to quantify...

2600 NTSC Asterix proto?
Vic20 Ultima: Mount Drash?
Starcharger Survival Island/Sword of Saros?
C64 Satan cart?
SNES Donkey Kong competition cart?

They're not the most valuable compared to other games (well maybe apart from the Ultima!) but are still ultra rare.

My rarest will probably never appear in any guide as I may have the only finished copy in existance and I'm not sure I can ever restore it to playable form without getting access to a Dreamcast devkit again...

Renegade Racer : Dreamcast

There a bunch of less finished prototypes floating around but that the only one thats 'complete'. (It never got a product code, as it never passed submission due to the Dreamcast market collapse).

Just to prove it almost existed

Hello this is my first time Actually posting anything. Though i i'm a long time guest. :)

I would have to say my rarest games would be

1.Panzer dragoon saga (which i got for free from a old friend).

2.My sealed copies of metal gear and castlevania for nes (which i got for 50 cents a piece :eek 2: ).

3.non-GH xenogears.

4.Muiltable complete snes and sfc games (like Rudra No Hihou, super turrican 2,gunbare goemon 2).

Oh and just the same old chrono trigger and earthbound. LOL

OK my rarities are only on Colecovision and they include:

TWO copies of Artillery Duel/Chuck Norris Superkicks R7
CBS Schtroumpfs C.I.B R7
Q*bert's Qubes R8
Up'n'Down R7

and a mint CBS version of Fall Guy!! 8-)

I also have a few good R6s including a N.I.B. Jukebox, Sir Lancelot w/manual, Robin Hood and Mr. Do's! Castle
The rarity numbers that i list here are from the DP online rarity guide.

As of this moment the rarest I have is Tower of Doom for the Intellivision complete.

Second would probably be Dragon Warrior II for the NES complete.

I'm curious as to what the GBA DOOM port would be as the Rarity Guide doesn't have a rarity number for it yet. I know it has to be pretty rare. I just finally found it yesterday. And I know there are tons of people still looking for it too.

(BTW, I also noticed the Rarity Guide has "Unknown" for the manufacturer/publisher/whatever while DOOM II has Activision. My box says DOOM is Activision too. So they should probably update that.)

Well, according to the Digital Press rarity guide, my rarest games are:

R5:

Rollerblade Racer (loose)
Donkey Kong Jr. Math (loose)
Raiden Trad (loose)
Syd of Valis (loose)
Jaguar XJ220 (complete)
On the Ball (with manual)
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber (complete)
Castlevania Chronicles (complete)
Doom (loose)

R6:

Quattro Arcade (loose)
Exertainment Mountain Bike Rally (complete)

I highly doubt that Quattro Arcade is as rare as Mountain Bike Rally, so I suppose that's the rarest US game that I own, as least according to the guide. Of coure, it's all very tricky judging my collection since I have so many obscure Japanese imports, and there is no source to find out their rarities. I wouldn't be surprised if weird games I have like Getter Love, Choaniki, Neugier, and others would be pretty high up there.

For the most part, I'm not very concerned with rarity. I care much more about value (and getting a good price compared to the value when I purchase them). I'm not one to seek out rare games nor do I care about having a complete collection for any particular system including all the rare titles. When shopping, I mostly look for good prices on games that interest me (or amuse me in some way, such as when I bought Rollerblade Racer for the hilarious label). Thankfully, most of the best games out there are pretty common. It's the demand and the value I have to watch out for. Games like Chrono Trigger may be pretty common, but when the value is high, it's more exciting to get one at a good price than to find a rare game that can be had for next to nothing because nobody gives two craps about it. I have a TON of high in-demand games, especially because I buy RPGs like crazy. I have every US released Square SNES game (not counting Breath of Fire which is a Capcom game), and I have a buttload of RPGs on other consoles, including nearly every one worth having on PlayStation (including the ever-so-expensive Suikoden 2).

[quote="testament89"]Hello this is my first time Actually posting anything.

2.My sealed copies of metal gear and castlevania for nes (which i got for 50 cents a piece :eek 2: ).

Last time I checked Metal Gear is not rare for the Nes. It's common as the SMB/DH carts. But factory sealed I guess it would be kinda rare, but that would be the same thing for anyother Nes game. As for Castlevania thats rare/common. Cause a lot of people have that game. I haven't checked out the rarity list here, but I'm speaking from another rarity list.

Anyways, my rare games that I have are:
Nes: Pac-Man (Namco), Toobin', Castlevania (complete for $10), Star Wars (boxed), Contra Force (boxed). And thats all I can think of now.

Here's a small update to my previous posts in this thread. I'd simply edit my original posts, but since this is a classic discussion that's not allowed:

Zero The Kamikaze Squirrel for SNES has been moved from an R8 to an R7. So my copy is pretty much dead even with copy of Joshua: The Battle Of Jericho for Genesis when it comes to the rarest games I own. Zero is still my rarest SNES game, though.

Also, this is nothing, but just for the hell of it... my rarest Playstation games are Qix Neo and Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey. Both R3. Sad, huh?

According to the guide, my rarest one is Soccer/Football for the Vectrex (with overlay and manual) at R8 - although I kind of doubt this number is correct, as all MB releases have R7+ and they're by far not that rare here :)

The rarest game I own is a toss up between my boxed Big Nose Freaks Out (NES, R7) or my sealed Titus S.O.S. (SNES; R6). I'd probably lean toward S.O.S. because it is still sealed.

Actually this game is pretty damn difficult to find in the U.S. In Germany where you're located it is probably a little easier to find mainly because that's where it was realeased, in Europe. I have been looking for one for quite a while and just recently lost one to another vectrex collector on ebay.
