Atari 7800 TANK (ok semi rare)
Atari 2600 - Beat'em and Eat'em (adult), Jugle Fever and Knight on the Town (adult) and Philly Flasher and Cathouse Blues (adult)
Atari 5200 - Mr. Do!'s Castle

I think the rarest for me, would be a Near Mint CIB Zero the Kamikazee Squirrel for SNES. That, or the Robocop 3 for SMS that I am gonna get, but supposedly it's not a R9, but a R6-7. So, I'll go with my Zero then.

My rarest might be Stadium Events...really soon...we'll see ;-)

i own complete, mint copies of burning rangers, house of the dead, and steep slope slider for saturn.

at one point, i was trying to collect all the soft manual saturn games. i didn't get very many. i guess the later saturn games had soft manuals with them. i got a sports game and winter heat soft manual games complete, but i think that is about it

Probebly one of these.

Gargoyles quest and Pieces are not the rarest games, but those boxes are quite hard to find. As complete games they were very hard to find. I actually dug around my aunts basement with my cousin just to find his old gargoyles quest box. It took forever. I decided to look for it when I got tired of waiting around on ebay for literally years for a complete one to surface.

As for the other games, I think it is a toss up betwwen The Dynastic Hero and the Nito Fire pro adaptor AKA Mega key II. The only key i have ever seen mint with the box and dip sheet. And dynastic hero has to be one of the rarest non proto games ever made. I have seen a total of 3 of these on ebay in the last 5 years. In my personal opinion it is much rarer than magical chase.

Greedostick - you call that Nitro 2 "mint" then? :D

It's got a big sticker plastered over the front! Now, the one that I've got, that is mint :P

I bought it new, asked the seller if they had any more .. only to be told that they had had two, and I got the last one. Checked their past auctions and found that they had sold one the week before for half the price I paid! Doh!

Still, it is a damn good converter - I haven't found a single game that it can't deal with yet - Yu Yu Hakushu, Mega Man, Alien Soldier, Bare Knuckle 3, Golden Axe 3 .. all the chip-locked games. If there is a game it doesn't work with, I would be very suprised!

Yep, thats true, there is a sticker on it. it does say mega key II on the sticker though. so i'm not sure if it's from the factory or not. And looks like someone removed a sticker, which i could easily remove the residue.

just wandering what you paid for yours? I am trying to get a idea of what it's worth. I traded a guy from malaysia a mint shining force 3 USA and a lord of the rings extended edition which costed around $30, and i guess shining force 3 was worth about $90 at the time. And i got the fire pro from him and a datel cdx cart. so i guess i paid around $60 each at the time.

Does that sound about right to you? i think i traded a little to much. on another token though, not like you can find a mega key and a datel cdx cart on ebay any day of the week.

I still have dynastic hero though LOL

I'm not sure which of these is more rare since they are both R8's.

Aero Fighters (SNES)
Chavez II (SNES)

All I know is that I had to pay more money for Aero Fighters ($25) than Chavez II ($5).

This might be rare, since even DP doesn't mention it, but then again, it's not that old...
I've got a Soul Calibur 2 demo disc for the Gamecube. It comes in a cardboard sleeve, the same size as Pac-Man VS came in if you got it with I-Ninja. It has "Not For Resale" on the sleeve and other the disc itself, which is white and says "Soul Calibur Demo" on it. When it boots up, it's the same demo that's featured on Nintendo's Preview Disc that came out Summer 2003.

Other than that, I'd have to say Fun N' Games for the SNES. :)

Bubble Bobble 2 - It's not highly rare, but not easy to find outside eBay.

Or..

I've got several R7 games...I think that's as high a rarity as I have. Poy Poy is one of those...I'll have to double check both DP Guides to make sure there isn't an R8 that I have. I doubt I'm that lucky, though....

My rarest game is proably Sonic Adventure Limited Edition, the pre-release version sometimes labled as a near-complete proto. It is Sweet, and so is the story of how I got it.

It was my birthday this year (Tuesday, June 22, 2004) and after gathering all my birthday money, my grandma drove me down to a local video-game tradeing store called Game-X-Change. They had a complete Sega Dreamcast, still in its box, pre-played for sale for about $40, about half my birthday money, but I still bought it for it was the only Sega home consel that I did not yet own. Of course I asked if it came with games and controllers so I would have something to do with it when I got home. The man ansered "Two controllers and a copy of... Sonic Adventure 2 - that is unless you want to trade the game for a game on the shelves". I told him I would prefer Sonic Adventure 1, so I could play the games in order. I serched the shelves as he checked behinde the counter. Neither of us found it, but he rembered that there may be on in the System used to try games before you buy them. He started the system but did not let it play to the title screen and thinking that it was Sonic Adventure, he gave it to me FREE, he even let me keep the Sonic Adventure 2. I later found out that this was the Rare Sonic Adventure Limited Edition.

This is the Rarest Sonic game excluding "Sonic Crackers" and the Rarest Sega Dreamcast American Release.

P.S. I also have the original Phantasy Star, complete, like new.

Mega Key converters are one of those things that it is incredibly hard to say what is a fair price - I have seen them go for absolutely insane amounts on ebay before, until ebay started closing all the auctions down for converters ..

I got mine for something like $10 though .. which was, to my mind, an absolute steal! I have sold a Datel CDX cart (just the cart, no box) for $80 before .. so I would say you didn't get a steal, but I don't think you got completely ripped off either. I don't doubt that you could easily get $60 for the Nitro converter if you wanted to sell it now ..

Ah ha! I now know! The wonders of the internet hey!

I don't think Ex-rental games really count as rare though, even if they are few and far between...

I once had a thought - If I was rich, I would buy up every copy of Suikoden and Steel Battalion which ever appeared on eBay - I would then stash every copy I buy at my house / mansion and watch as it's rarity went up!

Anyone else ever had this same idea? Ie, my Red PlayStation is limited to only 666 worldwide, but if I was rich and managed to buy up as many as I could, their rarity would go up... If I managed to buy up 600 of them (Improbable, but not impossible) then the remaining 60 would become uber-rare and be worth a fortune!

Anyone think there are people out there who do this sort of thing?

I have a Super 5 in 1 multicart for the Super Famicom/SNES console. I say this because althoug hthe shell is for the SFC, it has the notches in the bottom of the cart like it was cut by a machine from a factory or something, it was not hand-cut, since there are no flaws. These notches were made so that it can play on an AMerican SNES console. Very cool. I don't know if it's rare, but you don't see too many of those. I do have a loose Fun N' Games and a loose Chavez II, however, I think the rarest of my collection.

I don't really have any "rare" games, maybe some hard to find stuff though. I guess the games I have that are the most rare would be all of the "final 5" Saturn games-Shining Force III, Burning Rangers, House of the Dead, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Magic Knight Rayearth. I guess some of my Turbo Duo games would also be hard to come by such as Cotton and Terraforming.

I can say that I also do have some sought after games (though not really rare) such as Phantasy Star I-IV all complete and all with original stratagy guides. Well the Stratagy guide for Phantasy Star I is really a printed up walk though directly from Sega which I called the help line back in like 1990 and they sent it to me. I also have stuff like Valkyrie Profile, Radiant Silvergun, All Final Fantasy games (NO greatest hits). Matter of fact I do not own any GH games Except Soukyogerenti. I have alot of games and I play them all. I usually won't seek a game just because its rare, it has to be a pretty decent game too.

R9 Starfox Superweekend cart (loose)
