11/17 - Metroid Fusion (GBA) (time = 4:58' 58%) You know at first I was irritated by the "follow the orders/linear gameplay approach" but it actually sort of grew on me, I felt more involved in the story and it played out a little similar to what Dead Space does. One place to the other always with a goal in mind. Now I just have to rebuy a Wii so I can go through the Prime trilogy (already have the game).

Time to give more classic Mega Man games some love. I do enjoy this game, but not only is it incredibly easy, but the in game music can be incredibly hard on the 'ol ears at times, not all of it's bad though and there are some great remixes of a couple of the tunes around the internet that show that the music really isn't that bad, although, I would've been happy with Capcom sticking with the original NES themes to be honest.

Dragon Quest. I used to love this game, my first RPG, once the PSX came out and all the RPG titles I've played on that system I grew less and less fond of it, now I think it's one of the worst RPGs of all time.

The SNES version is probably the overall best in everything but music and obvious gameplay which is the same as the GBC version. The music, while higher quality on the SNES actually sounds better on the GBC(composition wise.) The town music is better on the SNES version though, the rest I'd take the GBC version.

The world design and the music are still amazing though. The world map being as the second part of Dragon Warrior 3 will always be the best part of the original Dragon Warrior.

Another great game, another great story. This is one of the SNES classics, made new by the Virtual Console. Worth a playthrough, but I'd consider using a Classic Controller. GCN controllers suck for VC SNES games.

Another good addition to the series, although I would say this is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, game in the classic series that I've played so far. A number of the levels feature those notorious jumps that the series in infamous for, so if you're not right at that edge you're falling to your death.

Edit: Having not playing Chrono Trigger since the SNES days, it was nice to go back and run through it again. I have to say that the game is every bit as good as I remembered it. I was sucked in and fully beat the game's original content in less than a week. I still have the new dungeons that were added to the DS version, but I'll likely save those for another time.

Just beat Return to Castle Wolfenstein on normal difficulty for Windows PC. Not a bad game at all although with some flaws that make one scratch their head. The ending too left something to be desired, lame final boss indeed.

Also beat Course 2 (1 credit) in Star Fox for SNES. Course 3 is all that remains but it's a tough one to be sure. Maybe not in 09, but 10 for sure.

I picked this up on a whim a while back on the cheap and just got around to playing it again. I hadn't played this since I was a kid, but it was still pretty fun, good platforming and some pretty decent graphics for when it was released, the music wasn't nearly as memorable as some of Capcom's other Disney outings, but it was still a solid game, certainly worth the $2 I spent on it.

I have beaten Super Mario Bros. 3 twice more in the last week. I dont know why but the game is so much fun that it sucks me in and I finish it every time I pick up the controller.

I just beat System Shock 2 on Normal difficulty.

I did this in Windows XP for about 98% of the game, then in a great stroke of genius the game decided to glitch up and would not allow me to fight the final boss! Unbelievable. So, for the last two days I've been asking around on TTLG forums, trying different settings, computers, setting up old computers, until finally I got an old P2 box with Windows 98SE running this morning and only now after messing around with configurations did I finally get SS2 up, running, and loading my final save file. Success! I was able to load and the final battle showed up. Good riddance to this mess though, while the game was good at times I'm never ever going to install or run this game on anything but a Win9x machine. There is far too much bullshit (potential and otherwise) for any gains or positive notes to be had.

Also cleared Normal difficulty on Star Fox 2, again.
