Dracula X - PC Engine
Dynastic Hero US Sealed - Turbo Cd

Hi, yeah thanks for putting down what i consider to be my rares :) good on ya i hope you feel special..

I dont see too many turbo collectors with new sealed US Dynastic Heros? or perhaps im wrong, and yes i too have owned my fair share of dracula x's aswell, perhaps they are not rare but i consider them some of my harder to get gems!

Well it was Suikoden II, but I sold it to pay for some other gaming deals. 75 for a loose suikoden II, can't believe someone paid that:)

Anyways now I think its my copy of snatcher for sega cd. Not only a rare game but a damn good game, just got it this week for free (read my post in the ebay forum and you will understand) and have been playing it. I love it.

I just started seriously collecting games... I found that since I don't have as much time anymore to play games I just started to collect them lol.

From my collection I'd have to say its one of the following:

Magic Knight Rayearth(SAT), complete
Final Fantasy Tactics(PSX), complete, original
Tobal 2(PSX), complete, import

Sigh... I hope to upgrade that list I just posted sometime in the new year. :)

My rarest is Pochi and Nyaa for the Neo-Geo MVS. It was just released and the run was extremely small because it did poorly in arcade tests. It's a good puzzler, though, a lot like Super Puzzle Fighter 2 but I think it's better. So yeah, the total US distribution for it so far was 17 copies. There might be more made later, I don't know, and it might see a home release, but I'm not expecting it to ever be anything less than rare on the Neo-Geo format.

i'm new to the collecting world and don't really care about loose, complete, and all that (yet). but i would have to say shemue 2 (euro edition) and samba de amigo ver.2000 (anyone have downloads for this? pm me please! ) they may not be the rarest, but i've yet to see anyone within a 50 mile radius who has a copy of these games. (but then i live in a small town).

I have an interesting Genesis game by Dreamworks called "Trampoline Terror". Don't know how rare it is, but I've never seen it in any stores.

I also have Dragonball GT: Final Bout for the PS1, which I guess is also hard to find.

Mr.Do's Castle for the Atari 2600 is my rarest for that system. It's a rarity 8.

I also have rarity 8s for INTV and CV as well. I can list those too but they weren't as hard to snag because people are more interested in Atari on EBay the last time I checked.

what's this "tengen tetris" game people have been lisitng. Is it another Tetris game made or something else altogether???

Alright, heres the story- Tetris was first made in the Soviet Union, and published by Tengen for the NES. Tengen thought that they had the rights to the game, because they had got it through a computer game company called Mirrorsoft. Then comes big Nintendo, and they prove that Mirrorsoft didnt have the rights to the game. Nintendo then made its own version of Tetris, and made Tengen stop producing their own.
Nintendos game is very easy to come across, but Tengen's is rarely seen outside of ebay.
Tengens version looks just like their other carts, but it says "The Soviet Union Game Tetris"
Also, it typically fetches $30-35 for cart only, and around $50-65 complete, but it can go higher.

Hope that helps. :)

Not much on rare software.

Really, the rarest I get is a (Disc only) Vay for Sega CD and the two Licensed Tengen NES games I have. None in boxes.

If you want to talk HARDWARE and the like...

Super NES Control Deck Tester (http://jasoco.no-ip.com/gameitem.php?item=snescdt)
Used back in the day by authorized Nintendo Authorized Repair Technicians to test Super NES'. A really neat device, actually. Very fun to play with. Still don't know how it all works.

Nintendo Photo Printer (Pulled from a Pokémon Snap Kiosk)
A photo printer (Obviously) used to print your Pokémon stickers. Has lots of inputs and outputs and options. Still haven't learned this all either.

That's about it.

Okay, and after reading all 9 pages, I have to add.. (Since I can't edit.)

If what Vice Guy said is true, then I also have that same XONOX Double-Ender, Artillery Duel/Spikes Peak.

Also, I have a copy of the NES Miracle cart. No keyboard, though. I picked it up yesterday just because I was sick of seeing it in the bin every time I went to the GS.

A while back I passed up Herzog Zwei for Genesis only to find out later it was rare. When I went back, I found some guy going through the bin for EVERY GAME HE DIDN'T ALREADY OWN. Fucking bastard. Glad he wasn't local.

Other than that, I do have all three SMB games boxed complete. Including the NON-Duck Hunt version of Super Mario Bros. $.29 at GS.

I'd have to see a rarity list to see what else if anything, I have that's rare.

Yeah, I'd have to say that in fact most Turbo collectors do NOT own a sealed, or even a heavily scratched loose Dynastic Hero, or even a Bonk 3 CD.

My rarest games:
US Dynastic Hero sealed - Turbo Duo (yep Greg, got one too now)
US Magical Chase, sealed in box!! - Turbo Grafx
Kizuna Encounter MVS kit, complete English version - Neo Geo
Waku Waku 7 MVS kit, complete English version - Neo Geo
UK Pocket Reversi, mint and complete - Neo Geo Pocket Color
9 different NGPC multicarts, 8 boxed - NGPC
Ninja Masters Neo Geo CD

- All 3 Woody Woodpecker 3DO games (2 sealed)

Mine would have to be Tengin Tetris complete, mint. I had been waiting for it to come down in price when I read in EGM that Tengin had recalled all their Tetris stock due to the fiasco. I ran out and started to search the local game stores
No luck. Then, about a month latter I was shopping for games when I found 4
copies at a drug store of all places priced at $45 each. Best money I ever spent.

I have Tengen Tetris that I bought at the height of "Tengen Tetris Mania" when it sold for $100 on ebay. I found it at FuncoLand for $10. Other than that, probably a few of my SegaCD games are probably considered rare, I think my frontloader SegaCD is, and I too have a blue gamegear.

i had a good weekend. i was looking through the paper on sunday, and i saw two things that turned me on- an old zenith turntable that played all size LPs, and a cd-i lot. it was a tough decision, but i ended up getting a phillips cd-i 910 system with all neded hookups, light gun, wireless controller, and 23 games for $100. the system has the expanion pack in the back so it can play more games, too. i looked in the dp guide, and it says the light gun itself is worth $40/R4. i had a good weekend. :)

Howdy.

Rarest game I own is a prototype of Jungle Hunt for the Atari 2600.

It only has the vine jumping and the swimming levels and it doesn't have music or any sound. But the cool thing is that the main character is not wearing his safari clothes! I can't quite remember right now if he's naked (totally pink) or if he wears a loin cloth. I'll have to pull it out one of these days and check.

Chuck Norris/Artillery Duel + manuals - Colecovision
-I don't know much about colecovision double enders, i've heard through the grapvine that they're kinda rare...all i know is that chuck norris is one of the worst games i ever played...
Devils Crush - TG-16
-Probabaly nothing special to the hardcore TG-16 collectors, but for what i paid, it was a great deal...same time i got my TG 16 CD unit.

I have some hard to get SMS and Colecovision games aswell... Nothing like the double ender though

I've got Pazer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn as well as House of the Dead, Magic Knight Rayearth, Shining Force 3, and Burning Rangers.

I have a complete 32x collection, so Spiderman Web of Fire Stands out there.

Castlevania Chronicles on the Playstation was supposed to be a limited press and I have one of those.

Is that good or lame for rarities?

I guess the only one I have that I consider rare is Final Fantasy for the NES. I even have the instruction booklet for it. Sadly no box. I also own a good copy of Phantasy Star for the SMS, although I guess that's not so rare any longer since part 1,2 and 3 came out for the GBA under one cartridge.

My rarities (according to D.P. guide):

Arcade Smash Hits (SMS) - R5

Guilty Gear (PSX) - R7

Micro Machines V3 (PSX) - R7+ (although it's true rarity is debatable)

Yep - that's it. :|

(P.S. - if anyone would be willing to check my collection link in my signature and tell me if there's anything else of rarity, I would be quite thankful).

@ Gary Silljo: Those are awesome picks. CV Chronicles only sold for $20 originally, but only 20K were made (for the US, I assume). That's certainly gonna be more difficult to find in the future. I have a Japanese copy, but the US version is almost certainly the one to get since it has the bonuses.

Reprints make a game less rare, but rereleases on other systems tend to make the originals more sought after as people who never played the original version decide they want to get a copy for their collection. That good copy of Phantasy Star on the SMS is a nice piece, I'd say. I don't have one myself.

Don't own anything real rare, according to the list:

Mountain Bike Rally (SNES) - R6/$50

My Rares i think :)

Alien Soldier - Megadrive
Sapphire - PC Engine
Dracula X - PC Engine
Dynastic Hero US Sealed - Turbo Cd
Bonk 3 Us CD

Funky Fish - Arcadia
Crazy Climber - Arcadia

Rare?

Every turbografx collector has what you have listed.
i know ive owned 3 Dracula X's already and i still have one.
I wish they brought that shit out in america like they were supposed to.

Yeah, Happy Holidays to you too, scrooge!

I'd do some dirty deeds to get Sapphire.

Sapphire is good..
But im not down with the whole "my stuff is rare" pissing contest as
far as games go...
Even if sapphire is rare, id still rather play games like Download 2, Deadmoon
SideArms Special and so forth.. all the games i own for my own personal gaming i consider rare.. they look better plugged into the system running
than on some shelf for me to show off or brag about.
It's 10X harder to get a pcengine LT than say like a laseractive system
or atari or VB and whatnot... YET i still take that thing on road trips with me and play it all the time.

Well, the PC Engine LT is definitely rare and so is Sapphire, BUT these are readily available on eBay or elsewhere. I have an LT, but never use it and I have no desire to get Sapphire.

The rarest games I have (at least according to the DP rarity list anyways) are Biker Mice From Mars and Claymates for SNES, both loose and ranking an R5. I got them last month with very little hunting, I didn't even know they were "very scarce" until I came across the list. These were games I borrowed from friends back in the day and I was excited to find them for a fair price at Gamestop ($8 for Biker Mice, $7 for Claymates, probably what I'd get for both on ebay including shipping).

I've got Maxi-15 for NES boxed. I'll soon have a complete Action 52 as well.

I got a copy of Crazy Climber for the Atari 2600, which is funny cause I don't even own a 2600 (wasn't really my childhood.)

New find Pac Man Jr for the 5200 prototype...in addition to this being rated an R10+ in the DP guide, it was never released (and it is definitely a fun game which seems complete).

Things have changed from when I originally joined the board and my rarest games were two R5 SNES titles.

Now, my rarest games are Zero The Kamikaze Squirrel for SNES (R8) and Joshua: The Battle Of Jericho for Genesis (R7).

Still looking for that Spanky's Quest... :(

...I really need to sort my games out. Im sure I have some rare ones worth putting on this board.

Only decent titles I can think of:
Panzer Dragoon Saga (SEGA Saturn)
Vampire Savior and Ram Cart (SEGA Saturn)
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (Super Nintendo) (Bought the game last night for... $14.99!!!!! didnt realize it was as considered rare, and it brought me in to liking Ninja Gaiden... used to hate it)
eh... yeah I need to go through my stuff.

But Spanky's Quest... I love that game. So strange, is it really so rare?

Spanky's Quest is apparantely pretty scarce. I've never found it in the wild. I've seen it on eBay a lot, and I know, I could just get it there, but I prefer to find stuff in the wild. I probably would if I lived in a small town, but I live in a big city (Portland, OR) with a lot of places that carry SNES, so I know I'll come across it someday.

Ninja Gaiden Trilogy isn't all that rare. It's a lot like Final Fantasy stuff, once someone gets rid of it, it doesn't take long for the cart to find a new owner. I haven't seen that in the wild either (guess I'm not lucky enough to be at the right place before someone else picks it up LOL ). Out of curiosity, where did you get it?
