maybe this one?
from what I heard and found out so far this is one of the rarest title for Saturn...
http://img138.exs.cx/img138/2777/dsc001448rl.jpg
and I forgot about this one all these years...
it was sitting in one of boxes I packed after I finished uni and moved to AU... :D
What type of game is that anyway? RPG? Adventure? You're tempting me!
Got an estimate on the value of a factory sealed copy like that one for us?

Rarity-wise, Team Buddies on the PSX (R8). After that is a complete Bebe's Kids (R7)
Price-wise, Phantasy Star Collection for the Saturn ($80 "back in the day").
...actually, I might have posted this before...but I couldn't remember and didn't see it on the last two pages so what the hell. :P
Probebly one of these.

Since my previous post, I've acquired several more R5 games, and a few more R6 games. However, the biggest news is that I've acquired my first R7:
Herc's Adventures - PlayStation
It's a fun game too that my boyfriend and his friends have fond memories of playing years ago, and my copy is very mint. :) I was actually expecting another title to be my first R7 since I've been actively hunting it on eBay for a few months now, but I've yet to get it at a price that's under my limit. I suppose soon I'll have to start looking for an R8, hehe.

Be nice if we could have a rarity guide for consoles as well as games...
There are a hell of a lot of rare limited editions of many consoles now (GBA SP anyone? Lol!)
Someone told me recently that they would class my Red PS2 as maybe an R10!!!
Just think about consoles like the Gundam GameCube; Hello Kitty, Code Veronica, Sonic, and Chu Chu Rocket DreamCasts; Panzer Dragoon Xbox; and the gold plated Zelda GBA SP... Amongst others...

I rarest game I own seems to be my mint copy of "Dynastic Hero" for the Turbo Duo. I remember buying it, playing it once or twice, then putting it on the shelf and forgetting about it. All this time it's just sat collecting dust. I was quite suprised to find out how rare that game actually is.

02-26-2005, 07:28 AM
Well what do you know? I've been wrong about it all this time! Apparently it's Aero Fighters for the SNES, which I just found out is the only R8 that I own! Unless it's the Hyper Duel for the Saturn that I just bought, but we still don't have a rarity guide for imports yet, so I guess it must be Aero Fighters! Too bad mine is only mint with manual now, and not mint complete! I threw the box away! But other than that, mine is in PERFECT condition, complete with the manual in PERFECT condition too! I just don't have the box for it! And all this time I never knew that it was that rare! WOOHOO! My first R8!

Wow, that's a long thread!
My rarest games would probably be:
NES:
Alladin + all 7 games (I was going to keep it sealed in box, but my gamelust got the better of me - this was when they were still common to find sealed and complete for $90-100... I told myself I'd get a second one, and never did... :()
Bubble Bobble pt. 2
Dusty Diamond's All Star Softball, complete (assembled one piece at a time)
Pac-Mania (sealed in box)
Tengen Tetris
TMNT 3 (a pirated version, called Super Turtle - plays exactly the same tho)
(I also have a lot of those strange "R7" games that nobody ever makes a fuss over, like Whomp 'Em, Conquest of the Crystal Palace, and Zombie Nation)
SNES:
Chrono Trigger, loose (I'm pretty sure, though I may have given it away)
Final Fantasy II and III, loose (not really rare, but there's a scene that makes big fusses over these games)
Fun n' Games, loose
Genesis:
Nothing rare per se, though I DO have a copy of Crue Ball. In case you're wondering, this is a pinball game with a soundtrack by Motley Crue. It's about as morbidly fascinating as it sounds.

I don't believe i've ever posted in this thread before.I'd say the actual rarest game I own is Castlevania Chronicles for ps1. I have other games that would probably go for more money than this one(snes, genesis and ps1 rpg's) but i'd say Chronicles is actually the rarest since I believe only 10,000(or less) were made. I think the value of this game will go up in the future due to the lack of copies made and it being an excellent game.
