I think it's more a case the DKC comp cart isn't as popular or as well known as the starfox comp cart, plus how many of those people selling starfox comp cart just need a quick $150-$200 shot for bills/etc/etc

And a few of those starfox comp carts, have been on ebay a few times each, one that i'v sold, showed up twice on ebay uk.. with different users, the first guy won the auction then started a new auction once he had the game, with a bin for double the amount he had won it for, and it didn't sell!

But i like the price drop with the starfox comps, means i can collect more of them lol!

That Starfox comp cart reminds me of Bubble Bobble 2. That game was only released to video rental stores yet there are a ton out there and they still go for high prices. Has to be demand and the fact that people have made it more than it really is.

I do not think it is fair to compare the star fox cart to bubble bobble 2. the star fox cart did not show up too often before that one guy dropped 6 or so of them on ebay. I think people then realized the value of them and dumped their own, then some people realized they did not need the item for their own collection etc so a lot of them going around are the same ones just changing hands. Bubble bobble 2 is somewhat rare but definitely overpriced (although not for its complete copy though, i think compared to the rarity to find it complete and its cart only price it could even be a tad underpriced).
the star fox cart is pretty rare (much rarer than BB2) and I consider it deserving of its price (which is wild inconsistent, I have seen them end at as low as $100 and as high as $300).

If Starfox came in a box the loose cart wouldn't be worth so much because all the collectors would be holding out for the box. If neither starfox or dk had boxes a loose dk would sell for more than a starfox. Dk is much harder to find even loose.

I did read it first time round about this friends face being on it after it was scanned in. But it was just a Cursary glance. Damit! LOL

But when i read it the second time after DreamTR's post, he does make mention of SoE team, but also mentions it has mode 7 code and some rotating backgrounds, and how "It's got two eprom sockets and only one is being used, you can use this cartridge to burn your own eproms and make your own custom SNES cartridge"

That gave it away really.

It would have been a nice price had it been the real deal!.. :embarrassed: I'll still stand by that! LOL
