I don't get it, they keep going HIGHER now. THis is ridiculous. Second highest bidder on both of these items again, it's just plain stupid now.
This is what worries me about the light rifle. I'm assuming that the next one is going to go for even MORE. I think it's cause we are all trying for the same limited supply, so everyone is pretty much willing to pay anything for 'em. They're going for more now cause everyone else is saying "Well, I gotta bid at least 350 (or whatever) cause that is where I got outbid last time."
Scary. I really hope I can reel in one of those light guns.

Hehe i saw that too ;) When it comes to rarity its true tho, but it doesnt mean its damn valuable. Its not the only copy in the world either. I've seen it being sold on Ebay before. DreamTR bought it.

I saw that too. I think its funny that they call it a prototype making it sounds really rare, but what it is, like the auction says, its just a makeshift model in a local tournament, and that tournament had nothing to do with Nintendo. Its like i make some homemade label for a NES game and call it a prototype because i wasnt 100% finished drawing the label lol :p

Phaser Srike is the rare varient of Star Trek: Phaser Strike for the Milton Bradley Microvision. This varient is rather rare. It was released in the US during the last year of the Microvision's life cycle because the license with Paramount expired.
I have seen this game go pretty high for a Microvision game, so anyone who collects for the Microvision might be very interested in this.

Ah-hem... MINE! :)
Actually, I'm really hoping to get this... I've been a 35mm film collector for years (even have a projector), so this is the perfect cross-over. I even have access to telecine equipment... (What the studios use to transfer their films to formats like DVD and such...)
So, hopefully no one else really wants it... :)
(And if there's any Anime fans here that attend Anime-Expo in Long Beach this year, I can arrange a special screening in the 35mm theater...)

I'd say protos...but who knows!
Hello,
Those are not protos but recordable NES cartridges (made of EEPROMs) with pirated (copied) games on them. I have the copier and a few blank cartridges and they look exactly the same. The two holes are for the EEPROMs (that way they can be erased using UV light - when you turn a switch on the copier). The switch on the cartridge is used to toggle between two different video decoding modes - depending on the encoding used in the game you are copying.

So, just to nit-pick... they'd be EPROMs then... EPROMs are erased with UV light, EEPROMs are erased electronically (thus, wouldn't need the 'window').
Just being anal... :)

I'm sure Bert Hardy has one of those. I forget what it is for just now. Maybe it is on his site?
:EDIT: Maybe its not the same as the one Bert has. It was the Dori checker I was thinking of.

I was going to bid on that one, toghether with a friend, to put that on digital format...but if you have access to the equipment we will let you go for it!
I see now a new seller has another copy of the Intellivision (more complete though) and an Atari 35mm trailer... I'm going to go after both of these, and transfer all 3 of them (is the Atari trailer available in digital format already? I'm not really familiar with what's out there...). Which ever of the Intellivision trailers looks the best (and the Atari) I'll make available. I also have a Sega trailer somewhere, but it's from the last 5 or 6 years, so it's probably not that exciting...
I'll be transferring them to uncompressed Digi-beta tape, and then convert them to DVD and/or online streaming formats... (I might even be able to get them in HD format just for the hell of it... :) )
Hopefully I'll be able to get these trailers... hehe...

"This is the only spare hologram the Atari Museum will ever release from its vault. This is a one time opportunity to own one of the rarest Atari items in existence."
As if Vendel is the only person who has Cosmos stuff. He said the same shit when he first started selling the Superman holograms, only for others to suddenly start showing up. Someone needs to check their ego.
Oh, and steer clear of all the engineering sets:
"Each Print is sealed with the official Atari Museum
seal to show its authenticity."
... which means nothing b/c they're all REPROS to begin with. I guess he's not ripping enough people off with his overpriced MAME machines

DreamTR
04-07-2007, 03:09 AM
Jungle Bash I know did not come out. eBay of course, ended the auctions. I love how people can sell their similar stuff, but everytime I try to sell something like this, it gets reported.
DuoFan
04-07-2007, 05:43 AM
Me too DreamTR. Nightmare Busters and Firemen were both pulled by ebay today. Even listing them as demo carts or development instead of prototype didnt help.
jajaja
04-07-2007, 07:38 AM
Did any of you get offers right after it was pulled? I wonder if people report the auctions just to eliminate the competition and the make offers after its being pulled, in hope of no one else would do it.
DuoFan
04-07-2007, 05:05 PM
Yes, I have had a few offers on Nightmare Busters after it was pulled. Of course there would be no way to find out if one of these people were the ones to report it.
jajaja
04-08-2007, 06:26 AM
Ye, true that. I'm not saying thats what happend, but it is a possible situation. Many of these people would make you an offer after it was pulled anyway eventho they had nothing to do with it.

Atari Lynx Prototype of Loopz (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150110611795)
The seller claims the copyright date of 1988, which just doesn't make sense - Lynx didn't come out until late 89, and the first published version of Loopz (NES) didnt come out until 1990. Furthermore, the Lynx version didn't see the light of day until 2004 (I had no idea - thought it was unreleased). Apparently it was made by Hand Made Software, but got shelved, and was later published by Songbird Productions.
If I had to guess the copyright he see's is on the chip itsself, not the game. Also, this is probably the Hand Made Software version, as I doubt Songbird made many protos for something published so late in the game.
Interesting none-the-less.
