Also, Ignition put out a press release today saying that Rainbow Islands Evolution was shipping exclusively for the DS. It's odd because there's been no word of it before today, no retailers are listing it, and their website says it is coming out for PSP. Well, I guess that's what you can expect from the publisher who has yet to release Animaniacs!

Also, what are the current "rares" as you'd call it, since it's too early to really call anything on the system rare, I guess I'm wondering what the hard to find games are right now. I know of Monopoly/Boggle/Yahtzee/Battleship but what else? Elf Bowling seems pretty damn hard to find as well as Solitaire Overload.

Yeah, I have that, I'm sitting at something close to 250 games including imports, so I've got almost all of the heavy hitters. I'd just hate to pass up on something like "random disney licensed game #231" and it turns out to be super rare in the future.

joedick is totally keeping up with what's hitting the market for DS games. His list is very good.

Theres alot of rare shit, but its not valuable.

A bunch of the stuff that all hit last Oct/Nov i'm just now seeing (read some of my above posts to get see what i'm talking about).

Monopoly/Boggle/Sorry/Battleship DS is a true rarity with a solid value to boot. Most of the 1st Party Nintendo titles are hard to get (Kirby Canvas Curse, Advanced Wars, Clubhouse Games ect) but not all of them are pulling in alot above their inital retail (but for a DS game thats 1-2 years old thats pretty good).

The Kiosk/Demo carts arn't easy to come by and for the most part seem to run a good amount depending on the title ($30-50) as well. With the demo carts you've got to be careful because at least on ebay it seems that alot of -EUR ones are showing up, but -USA ones not so much.

I've still not seen Bomberman either. Wish I knew why GS was charging 29 for Real Soccer 08.

Depends on what your looking for. Lots of the shovelware thats been coming out the last year or so drops down in price pretty quick if you buy used at a GameStop/EB type store. However its shovelware and I'd think long and hard about owning some of this crud before you toss down the 'cheap' coin on the filler if your just looking to boost your numbers, theres alot of good stuff thats worth paying the better money for (and will still give you strong numbers, i'm at just shy of 200 titles with very little true crap filler).

Still no Bomberman Land Touch! 2's at GS. Clerk did a check for me, according to him only one store in the company had any. My guess is that this is going to be another we'll get this out there when we damn well please, which is fine by me. Amazon is selling it for 26 and i can get free shipping. Hell even my local Circuit City didn't have any. Shows you how desperate I was to try and find this puppy.

On the end of the UPC closest to the spine you'll notice a NTR P A**E or NTR P Y**E and if your lucky there will be a USA at the end of that (but from my quick glancing only Nintendo released titles have that extra USA after the NTR number on the back, on the cart itself it'll have the -USA no question if its a US release). That is the Nintendo catalog number for the game (well the NTR-A**E-USA or the NTR-Y**E-USA is the catalog number)

Ask yourself the same question about other Atlus titles for other systems. Atlus is a company that I buy whatever is released for its many systems most of the time due to its rarity down the line. Etrian wasn't all over the place when it came out, and i've not seen many copies of it over the last few months. Its a buy if you like RPG/Dungeon crawlers or like to get harder to get games out of the way IMO.

Looks like the full name of New Zealand revolution is New Zealand Story: Revolution... and its about a chick (baby chicken) if i'm to believe the box art.

I'll end up picking it (Anno 1701)and Command and Destroy when I see em. I've still not seen any Dungeon Explorers or Bomberman Land Touch! 2's in stores (but Bomberman was gotten off ebay)

Looks like Ubi is taking the same strategy they did with Real Soccer.

I recently e-mailed Ignition about the press release on Rainbow Islands: Evolution to ask when it was coming out. Seems like that must've been an error they put out, as they mentioned that it's only coming for PSP. But while I was e-mailing them, I figured I'd ask about Animaniacs. Iwas told it came out as a limited release in the US three years ago! I'm sure they're wrong, but if anybody has seen this game, please let us know!

Thanks, I went to Best Buy last week, but they didn't have it. I'll try there again tomorrow. If anybody hasn't heard yet, or if they care, Sega finally announced that they will be bringing the 2nd Bleach DS game to the US under the name "Bleach: Dark Souls." I've been waiting for the longest time for Sega to announce this. I am extremely excited right now. Estimated release is i the Summer. ^_^

Well its being listed as a GS exclusive. But then again the last GS exclusive that was suppose to come out that just disapeared (Jam Sessions w/ Amp) never came to fruition, and their crossword competition title to NYT Crosswords keeps getting pushed back.

Let us know when/if it shows as i'll drop an order for one as well.

For Rafa Nadal Tennis, gamefaqs said that game came out last year on 06/30/07. Is that game hard to find? or been deleyed for awhile?

All the big sites say it has been released. Many online stores had it up for sale as well (though you'd always get your order cancelled). Even the publisher, Codemasters, would respond to our e-mails telling us the game had been released. There was absolutly no evidence of this though. It's been out in Europe for some time though.

Same deal for Animaniacs: Lights, Cameras, Action. Big sites say its been released. Some online sites have it listed. The publisher thinks it's been released. Available in Europe. I don't think it has ever come out though.

Will it be rare? Probably, down the road - since it appears to be an exclusive. Will it be worth money? I doubt it, but what do I know?

That demo is just to tout Nintendogs. It'll let you play with one of 3 or 4 breeds, but thats it. There is no specific Nintendogs Dalmations/Lab/Daschund Demo cart out there that i've seen.

If the US has 500 games out for it (thats probably a smidge less than whats been released thus far) i'm less than halfway there. I've personally got just over 200, before Demos and imports, but I gave up on trying to get everything long ago. Not enough space and too much crap, even for my taste.

Are any of you aware of the Walmart exclusives? I recently bought a few games that is marked Walmart exclusive on the cover that comes with either a bonus stylus or NDS skin. I thought those are cool. Just wondering if anyone has a running list of these Walmart/Target/Kmart variants/exclusives.
