Hi I'm Pango. I'm mostly into pirate and unliscensed Famicom and NES games. I'm also a huge MAME fan though. My MAME collection is somewhere around 2,700. I've submitted this review for DP http://www.digitpress.com/reviews/missworldnude96.htm

I'm Chris. Larsoncc. I'm a video game collector with well over 2 dozen systems, and well over 500 games. At some point, you just stop counting and start playing.
Back in the day, I wrote several fanzines using the Vapor moniker. Two of my more well known fanzines were The Panic Zone and Codename: MegaZine.
I currently write and direct Fatman Games (www.fatmangames.com). It's spiffy. It's an actual company now. So, it's like a fanzine, but better, because people can't take my house if I say something bad.
Arnie Katz said that I bring a "punk rock sensibility" to game fanzines, so I kicked him in the nuts. I actually talked to the guy once on the phone. It was fun.
I wrote for some music fan magazines, too - I managed to score an interview with Mike D from the Beastie Boys. I was completely incompetent during that interview, which makes for a fun story. That is, if pain and humiliation are fun.
Anyway, I ditched the whole fanzine thing, because I couldn't hack that and school simultaneously. Printing all of my fanzines out took money. I was eating noodles and butter. It wasn't a hard choice.
I decided against journalism, because I thought that journalists were completely arrogant, misinformed, corporate spoon-fed babies. Additionally, you can make more money bagging groceries. So, I switched to Computer Science instead. I found out that a lot of people were just like me - all this time, I was a closet geek behind a chiseled physique and massive popularity.
I'm so chiseled that I had to open a site called Fatman.
Assuming this forum doesn't eat my name / password combo again, you'll see me post occasionally.

hello, i'm hannes, 20 y/o and i live in germany.
i stumbled across this site when i was searching the web for video game collectors rarity guides, it's cool that there's actually a rather big community around that subject.
i started out with an a500 at age 12 (pretty late and pretty newschool, i know ;) and i'm mainly a c= fan. i concentrate on collecting cd32 games, but also normal amiga disk games. i'm also currently expanding my collection to other systems, but i really just started. i've got a c64, c128, a500, a1200, cd32, cdtv, gba+sp, xbox and a vc4000, the oldest system i own atm.
when i'm not collecting, i like to do pixel graphics (like my avatar) or digital paintings, i'll start work as a graphician at a gamecompany next month.

Hello all! I'm Xolik (z'oh-lick) and I'm from beautiful Sothern California. I came across this forum while googling around on the job and liked what I saw. My favorite type of games are usually RPGs but I sometimes enjoy a good shooter. Currently I'm trying to get my hands on every game released in the US for the Turbo-Duo and console Neo Geo. When I'm done with that, I'd like to gather up Atari 5200 and lynx games.
In the real world, I work in IT for a University doing optical imaging work. It's pretty neat stuff! :D I like working out and am currently trying to tone myself up a bit. I may not post a whole lot at first. I prefer to lurk more and get a feel for the board. Thanks!

Names Mike, from Mississauga Ontario. I have been collecting video games since I was a youngster (Around 8 years old). Back then, I did not have the cash flowing in, and didnt REALLY start my collection until I was 16 (3 years ago). I have amassed the following systems using cash from working at a grocery store:
NES, SNES, Vitrual Boy, Game Boy, Game Boy Pockey, Game Boy Colour, N64, Gamecube, Playstation, Atari 2600, Jaguar, Sega Master, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, Game Gear, 3DO, Turbo Grafx16, and (If you count it) a Tiger game.com.
In total, I have about 290 games for these systems, and am nowhere near giving up on my little adventure to collect mroe and mroe games.

My name is John and I've been enjoying this site for some time now, just never posted :).
I am a 25 year old law student and gamer/collector. I specialize in SNK Neogeo games, but collect for basically all systems. You can see my "master list" of Neogeo games at www.neo-geo.com.
Glad to be here. :)

Hello everyone, I'm Jackie. I'm 24 years old and I've been gaming since I got an Atari 2600 for Christmas back around 1984. I then got an NES in 1988, and it still is my favorite console system. I remember playing so much Super Mario Bros. in the basement that my mom actually brought food down to me so I would eat. LOL
And the rest is history....
Today I work as a computer/network technician, and I enjoy my job. I like playing first person shooters on PC, every other type of game I like to play on consoles.

Signed up for this over a year ago and finally getting around to posting something. I think :)
Anyway, I was 18 when the VCS came out so you can do the math. vulcanjedi.com is my home page about games for the last 30 years. I list 44 different systems and 800+ games I have in my collection. Mostly consoles. Mostly Sega. I consider my sega demo system 6 cart switcher my best $2 yard sale find. My vectrex and Sean Kelly multi cart would be my next prozed possessions followed by my Digital Press volume 5 book and anniversary T-Shirt :)
I'm a QA Engineer IT kinda guy. Available for contract Quality Assurance work :)

I'm Kevin, and I'm 23. I live in Portage, Indiana, which is near Chicago. I found the forums through buttasuperb, who I have met twice and built a CPS-II system for.
My favorite games are Valkyrie Profile, Vampire Savior, Mega Man 2 (NES), and just about any KOF. I was heavily addicted to DOOM and DOOM 2 (mainly on the PC, but started with 32X) for 3 or 4 years starting in early 1995. Oh yeah, Quake 1 and Hexen II are also way up there. But I'm generally more into consoles than PC.
I collect for: CPS-II, Neo-Geo (both MVS and home cart), NES, Game Boy, SNES, Saturn (imports), PS1, and Dreamcast. I also have games for Neo Geo Pocket Color, Genesis, PC, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, and Naomi.
My job is electronic repairman for ISG Burns Harbor Plate (steel mill). This eventually led to me becoming interested and involved with arcade hardware. I've designed and built two CPS-II systems for home use and I have Naomi hardware that is yet to be used.
I was at CGE last year. I decided to visit my relatives who were living in that area and CGE happened to be on the same week. I wish I could have stayed at the show longer than I was able to, though.
My little site, with pictures of my collection, and a procedure I wrote to change CPS-II batteries: http://home1.gte.net/res0k0yu/collection.htm
CPS-II systems I have built (the silver one is mine, the blue one is buttasuperb's): http://www.sgrepository.com/modules.php?set_albumName=riotoftheblood&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

I'm Brent and currently situated in northern NJ. I run http://www.emdkay.net where I sell mame marquees for new or rebuilt arcade machines. I'm obviously mostly into the old school and current arcade scene, but I've had a plethora of console systems including an Atari 2600, 7200 pro, NES, Sega Master/Genesis/CD/32x, Atari Lynx, Gameboy, Turbo Grafix, SNES, and right now own a PS2, Xbox, GC, Dreamcast, and a couple mame arcade machines.
I heard about this board from http://www.arcadecontrols.com in their message board. The two sites are great compliments to eachother. I look forward to killing quite some time on here :rocker:

-Hey all, I'm Tj
-I'm from chicago but finishing school in Milwaukee
-dont know how I got here but its like AA (you just dont put someone with an addiction in a room with a dozen other addicts, thats not progress!!)
-My Fav's are Xevious (atari), Marble Madness & Pipe Dream & Maniac Mansion (NES), and Super Puzzle Fighter 2 turbo & Tail of the Sun (PS1)
-I collect (In order of my addiction) NES, SNES, Jaguar, 7800, VB, TG16, 3DO, GB
-College (best 6 years of my life) and in a few months I'll be done and have my computer engineering degree
-I'm finally getting to play all those NES games I drooled over as a kid but my parents would give me (to give you an idea of how sheltered I was, I played metroid for the first time this week, same with zelda).
but apart from games, I am an excentric person and build some off the wall stuff. I've built battlebots, a SOLAR POWERED HYDROFOIL, converted my vaccum cleaner so its remote controlled (next is the mini-fridge). I am also big into aquariums (specifically coral reef tanks and salt water fish).

My name's Joel. I'm a first time poster. I'm 25 and I live in the Dayton area in Ohio. I'm a 2nd year High School Digital Media teacher (juniors and seniors). So I cover things like graphic design, web design, 3d graphics, animation, digital video production, and digital audio production.
I have to say that my interest in video games growing up led me to getting into digital media and, in turn, teaching. I occasionally have to make sure I don't get too off topic in class about games with the students :) Although teaching many of the tools that are used in game creation makes for some fun classroom decorations. (game posters, ect.)
I've been into gaming since the Atari 2600 when I was about 3 or 4. After that, I moved on to the NES, SNES, PSX, and PS2. In the last year I changed from being a 'one console man' when I bought the GC and Xbox to go along with my PS2. Now, I own the following consoles:
Magnavox Odyssey 400, Atari 2600, NES, Turbografx 16, SNES, Genesis, 32X, Sega CD, Playstation, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance SP, and Neo Geo Pocket. I do a little PC gaming too, but not much.
My favorite games are fighters and RPGs. I also get into action/adventure games and music based games like DDR and Frequency/Amplitude. My favorite games are Ms. Pacman, Street FIghter II series, FF7, FF8 (yes, I actually really liked that one), Lunar, Tekken 3, Street Fighter III, and... well- there's a ton I just can't think of right now. BTW, my Xbox live name is Phat 32 (bad computer techie pun) and I typically only play Capcom vs. SNK 2 on Live.
My other hobbies include anime, movies, learning new software (working on Maya, Avid, and Acid Pro now), starting projects that i never finish with newly learned software, and writing.
Well, I found out about the forums through my friend Kid Fenris, who I used to work with.
btw, my avatar is from a horrible Zelda commercial from the 80's. Maybe I'll put it on the web sometime and post a link.

I'm Adam, I collect console games like I collect comic books. I consume them at an absurd rate and discard them into vast and deep piles of obscurity. I have been an avid games since before I could read, my TI-99/4a and my Atari 2600 being my earliest friends. Though I'm more of a PC guy then anything else. *gasp* I know Joe IRL, so I thought I'd come and be flamebait for a bit.

My name is Eddie Morin. I live in Omaha, NE. I found this site by trying to find a complete list of NES games. Boy, did I find it. Favorite game has to be Windjammers for Neo Geo. a close second: Bump n' Jump for Intellivision. I am a student. Kind of. I fail a lot. An interesting fact? My mom had a massive (120+) Intellivision collection before I was even born. As soon as I could, I played it. I couldn't help but be into video games for the rest of my life!

lol! True. I'm 18 and a slight addict. I started collecting for similar reasons as VACRMH--to get back all the games I sold for an N64 as an 11-year-old.
I program in my spare time, as a Comp Science freshman of Western Michigan University.

Hi. My name is Matthew, Im 17 and live in California. I write video game reviews for my schools newspaper, which are vastly underappreciated by the editor in chief, yet loved by most others. I hope to write for a professional video game magazine one day, but until then, I shall slave over my own low budget magazine (and I do mean low budget).
I love all genres of video games. My favorite is probably platformers. If I had to choose a least favorite, It would be RPG''s, more specifically MMORPG's.
My top five favorite games are as follows.
1. Castlevania 3 2. Link's Awakening 3.Jet Grind Radio 4. Nights 5. Mario 64
My collection consists of 17 systems and about 250 games. The walls of my room are virtually nonexistant because they are completely covered by posters and whatnot relating to video games. I also have a pretty decent collection of video game collectibles. I have a lot of action figures, and recently I found and bought a Donkey Kong sleeping bag from the early eighties.
Anyway, bye

Hello, my name is Marco. I'm 28 years old and the first game I ever played was on an Odyssey. Not sure which Odyssey it was or even which game it was. It was a space-invaders type of game. You controlled a man, though, instead of some sort of gun and you walked back and forth firing upwards at... hmm I dont remember what the enemies looked like. I do seem to remember there being barriers that protected you from fire (a la space invaders). I remember playing it and I remember when I died my character turned different colors and this frightened me (hey I was probably about 4 at the time). It was fascinating to play the game, but also very disturbing for some reason. My Dad spent some time checking out the various game systems and what games were available, we didnt quite get the concept that certain games would play on certain systems but I think a Sears store clerk explained it pretty well. Somehow my Dad got it into his head that Atari was the way to go... Thank God because if we would have gotten an Odyssey I would have been stuck with it for the next 10 years or so!!!
This would have been in 1979 or 80? I'm thinking 79. Christmas of 79 I opened up all of my presents and no Atari or anything. I was pretty disappointed but then... what's that poking out from under the couch?? Shades of A Christmas Story.. it was an Atari 2600 (Sears Telegames version). It came with Space Invaders and Target Fun. Much two player fun was had with those games. I was hooked. Hooked. Completely hooked. I remember falling asleep while watching the color cycling that displayed while you werent playing the games. Around this time I started playing arcade games too. Thankfully the arcade in my town had stools so I could reach the controls.
The Telegames unit also came with paddles but no game to play them. I remember getting Street Racer for my birthday the next year so we could have something to play with paddles. A pretty so-so game but I played it anyway because my options were limited, I dont remember having many games at this point. No one else had an Atari in my neighborhood (this was around Wheeling WV), but my cousins who lived in Toledo had one and they brought some games when they would visit. I remember playing Cannon Man/Human Cannonball and Circus Atari. I think it was the next Christmas that I got a pair of keyboard controllers and Concentration. Funny, I hadnt even played Combat yet! One of my friends had a Bally Astrocade. I thought that was pretty advanced at the time, Wizzard of Wor for it was very cool.
It may have been that Christmas when a couple of my neighbors got (real) Atari's. I remember being at a friend's house and playing Football, Baseball, Basketball... Indy 500 (I thought the driving controllers were KICK ASS for some reason), Missile Commmand. I remember getting Basic Programming (hey I already had the keyboard controllers) around that time. I remember when Pac Man was released, got that one for my birthday. I remember when Pitfall was released, got that one for getting a good report card. The Atari was really taking off... one Christmas I got about 10 games, all good ones like Megamania, Star Wars ESB, etc. My friends at that time or in the next year got Q-Bert, E.T., Ms. Pac Man, GI Joe, every Activision game you can imagine, yadda yadda yadda... see our parents had a deal worked out where everybody bought their kids different games so we could all trade. Except for Star Wars ESB, we all had a copy of that.
Then something changed. Colecovision? I was astounded by the graphics. Parents wouldnt get me one. Atari 5200? WOW, you can PAUSE the GAME!! I couldnt believe it. Parents wouldnt get me one of those either.
(As for the Intellivision, I never knew anyone who had one until well after the crash) My friends and I were becoming acutely aware that the Atari 2600 was a sinking ship. Some sold their Atari, got a Coleco and an Atari adapter. One of my friends actually got an ADAM.
I started playing Atari a little less. I got some new games here and there (really cheap) but not as many as I should have. I felt "weird" about playing the Atari at this time, it just seemed so out-dated. Dont get me wrong though, I had some good times with Star Raiders and Tapper around this time (also Reactor and I even played and liked Fireworld!). I was impressed by the later-generation Atari games like those and Crystal Castles, I could tell that they were good games. Some of my friends got into the C-64. I started doing bad in school, couldnt pay attention, etc. so my parents took my Atari away (I hadnt been playing it that much, I guess they were just desperate). I was gameless for a few years and then I got a C-64, this was either 87 or 88. I started trading games with kids at school and something odd happened - -
Someone for some reason game me an Atari 2600 game. Now I had been around the block with the Atari and I figured I had seen every game ever made but this was, uh, cant remember the name but that Farmer game from US Games.. oh yeah GOPHER. Not only had I never heard of Gopher but I'd never seen a "US Games" game before. Something clicked in my brain "Hey, there's Atari games out there I've never seen before? Cant be". Of course I drug the Atari out of the basement to play it. It sucked, but still I was bitten by the bug, I wanted to see what other Atari tapes (I still call them tapes for some reason) were out there. I remember getting Earthword.. "Ooh now I have Earthworld and Fireworld!! I wonder if anybody has Waterworld?" No one did, dammit. I managed to scrounge up a BUNCH of games from kids at school and people my parents knew (I didnt know this at the time but they were all common/uncommon with the exception of Tapper, Gremlins, Rubik's Cube and Pengo which I didnt know were rare, lots of people had them where I lived). A lot of kids started getting NES systems (except me) and this further enouraged them to give up their Atari tapes. I had quite a collection going although I didnt realize I was a "collector" of "classic games".
Then one day I found something.. a list of all known Atari games, even unreleased ones... it was VGR's rarity list. I think I got it off of some BBS with my Amiga. Immediately my Atari collection looked very small and my collection of R's, ER's and UR's was even smaller! Maybe this was 1990-1992? Until then I didnt know about games like "Chase the Chuckwagon", which back then was the big holy grail (I thought). Hell I thought I was the ONLY one looking out for Atari games until I saw this list. The rest of the story I'm sure you know - I started actively SEARCHING for games. I'd go to flea markets, thrift stores, etc. for the sole puprose of finding games. I didnt have too much luck finding rare ones though although I did find a few. I was on the internet in 93 or 94 and got a lot of classic game info. I remember reading and posting to RGVC. Eventually I got a Super Nintendo, first game system I actually owned since the Atari 2600 (my parents were so evil!!). This broadened my horizons quite a bit. Soon I was collecting SYSTEMS as well as games.
Atari will always be my first love though. Every other system I only want certain games. For the Atari 2600 I'd take any game I didnt already have. Childhood wish fulfillment perhaps? My last collecting goal was to get all of the Atari picture label games but I could never find a picture label Flag Capture.

Hi. My name is Alex. I'm only 15, but I love classic games and systems. My friends make fun of me for this, but I don't care. I love games. Everyone said I was crazy to like content better than grafics, but they are the crazy ones. I started off with 1 system when i was 4. I never collected till 2 years ago. Since I am younger and usually broke, I don't have as vast a collection as some of you other members, but I still pride myself on mine. I have only 250 games for my systems, and they still increase weakly. I hope some day to live up to you other members, but here's what I have for now:
Atari 2600
Coleco Telstar Alpha
Colecovision
Commodore VIC-20, with the cassette game port
Intellivision (freezes when I start it up, can anyone help?)
NES
SNES
N64
Gameboy (One original gray, one yellow)
Gameboy Colour
Master System
GameGear
Genesis, with plug in side Sega CD
Dreamcast
Turbo Grafx 16 (Busted)
PSONE
Xbox
Neo Geo Pocket Colour
And I also own a 1982 Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong Tabletop arcade game, as well as one full sized arcade: Shadow Warriors.

I'm Tony Holly. I'm from Drums (my friends like to call it the Boondocks), Pennsylvania.
I don't remember how I found the forums. I was probably just searching for random shit someday and came accross it and have been reading the boards ever since.
I have played video games for as long as I can remember, but I have only started collecting last year, so my collection isn't too big, I'm still working on it, but I'm proud of what I have so far.
I buy games for any of my 23 systems. I don't buy a lot for any one system specifically, but when I see something I want I pick it up. I guess my big goal (like most people here) is to get all the US NES games. I would also love to complete my MVS collection (I only have 5 so far) and would love to start an AES collection, but with college that isn't gonna happen right now.
I guess my favorite system is NES, but I do love Nintendo stuff in general.
In real life I go to college. I'm sure you can figure out which one if you check the internet site listed below. I am studying Psychology and plan to become either an Industrial Psychologist or a Child Pscyhologist.
I guess I started collecting when I bought my PS2. I realized that I couldn't not get a Nintendo system, so I had to pick up the GC too. Then, since I had those, I couldn't forget the XBox. Once I had these, I wanted to get all the US Nintendo Systems (I still need the toploader and would like a gold N64 instead of my plain black one and would like a Pokemon N64 just for shits and giggles). After all that, I realized that I didn't have enough NES games and started getting those and have been buying stuff ever since.
I guess another big thing for me was last month (Oct. '03) I picked up a 4-Slot MVS. I had been reading and reading about SNK for awhile and bought a NGPC to give SNK a try and knew I needed one. When I found one for $350 w/ 4 games and memory card reader I couldn't pass it up.
I guess I talked about everything I wanted.

Hello everyone! My name is Jim Johnson and I'm from a small town called Wonder Lake in the state of Illinois. I recently graduated college, just two days after my 21st birthday in fact, in June. I would be an entry-level computer programmer, but those jobs are really hard to find right now - so I've been working for my friend's small business in computer consulting. This gives me time to play my classic game systems, and to hunt for more!
I first started collecting as a kid when I got my NES back in 1986. Many games that I got I still have complete in boxes.. I guess I planned well for the future ;). After the NES, I got the SNES and Atari 2600. I got the Atari from my next-door neighbor whose son had passed away, so playing it felt special, because it was like I inherited it. After that I got the Genesis, Game Boy, Playstation, PS2, GameCube, and recently the GBA.
I've gotten into the groove of seriously collecting for the Atari 2600, NES, and SNES about a year ago. I found this place a few days ago by searching for collecting classic games, and I think I will be happy here!!

Hello, my name is Frank. I'm 17 years of age, living in the small town of Stittsville, outside of Ottawa, Ontario. Stittsville is famous for its year-round Flea Market, which has the honor of being the largest indoor/outdoor flea market in Canada. It is there where I found a job help out at one the (permanent) indoor shops, a place which sells mostly vinyls (records) and books, but also contains a good selection of CDs, video games, consoles and old Star Wars toys. I've mostly been a PC gamer for the last few years, never owning a console until I bought a PS2. My brother (also a member of this forum), bought a SNES, a Genesis and a Sega CD off of of friends (he got the Genesis from the place I work at). I'm also after a Dreamcast, and I'm going to pick one up the first chance I get. However, most of my moolah has been put towards my record collection. In the last two and a half months, I've purchased nearly 80 classic records. Being a big music fan, the rest of my money is going towards getting a guitar/amp/etc.
I have been a member of various forums before (Forumplanet, Deadites.net, Encyclopedia Metallum, Iron Maiden official, Blind Guardian BB, Warmachine BB, etc.), and I hope to stay with this one for a while.
My favorite game is Metal Gear Solid (hence my screen name).

Hey everyone! My name is Jess, and I'm 22 year old college student from CT. I found this forum during my ongoing search for a particular NES game (Bio Miracle by Konami, if you haven't already seen me mention it a billion times already :) )
I currently have the following systems:
1) Atari 2600
With it: about 30 games, and the paddles - all of which I scored for the low low price of free. I was at my friend's house a few years ago, and I found all of her Atari stuff under her bed. I was like "You have Atari?!" and she just said "Yea - you want it?" like it was just some useless junk. So of course I took it. The TV adaptor piece was missing, and I kept putting off getting a replacement. I finally got an RF adaptor last weekend, and I've been playing it ever since! I do need new paddles though, so if anyone wants to get rid of any, feel free to let me know :D
Some of the games I have:
2) NES
With it: about 40 games, the zapper, and the Power Pad. Most of my games are pretty bad and/or really strange: Knight Rider, King's Knight, Anticipation, Snake Rattle & Roll, and MappyLand, just to name a few.
Funny story about how big of a dumbass I am: a few years ago I bought Gyromite at FuncoLand because it was cheap and I was bored. So I took it home and tried to play it, and started getting really pissed when I couldn't get anywhere. I had my suitemates try it too, and we were all like "What the f*#k is wrong with this game?!" So after a few more attempts, I thought to go online and research it. It took me awhile because there was basically nothing on the internet about it. When I finally found out that you needed a robot to play it, I couldn't stop laughing. But even so, I can't bear to part with the game...yea I'm weird, I know. :)
3) I also still have my old Game Boy from about 1988-1989, but the sound barely works and the screen fell off. I only have about 7 or 8 games for it, and I really only take it out to play Link's Awakening.
I'm not an avid collector, but every once in awhile I'll take a trip to FuncoLand and pick up some random Nintendo games just for the sake of entertaining myself. If I had to pick just one favorite game, I'd say Dr. Mario for NES - for some reason, I never tire of its repetitive nature.
aaaaand I'm done :D

Hi, Right now I'm working on my awesome collection of unbelievably rare Nintendo stuff. Expect to see me selling games now and then so I can get new additions I've been searching for. I've never spent a lot of time at collecting all this stuff but every so often stuff works out and it has been going well enough to make a good site. I wanted to get on the Board because I haven’t registered to one for a while though... "I have been watching this one and thinking oh I'd like to add to that topic", or "I know the answer to that". Anyway... I'll be setting up a up a new game room right now and browsing the topics and stuff...((^_^ Thank you

Tada!!! Howdy everyone. I'm Ian... and I am a 21 year old college student and veteran of the United States Navy. Oh yeah, I'm in Virginia. I honestly can't remember how I found the forums and now it's my homepage! Well, my favorite games of all time are the Shining Force series (but only for the Genesis)
I collect for the SNES, NES and Genesis. However, I collect systems as well. My friend Jon asked me one day, "Dude, how come you have a Saturn and yet you don't play it?" I just told him that the fact that I own a XBOX, PS2, NGC, Saturn, Genesis (Model 1 & 3), NES, DC, and a GameAxe is sweeter than playing the games. However, I do like scouting around for old NES/Famicom games that haven't dumped yet or pirate carts. (I have an old Mike Tyson's Punchout for the Famicom that actually has him in it. All other versions I have been able to find do not include him due to the time it was released in Japan, the contract between him and Nintendo was up.)
Like I said, I'm in college, but I just got this sweet job at a toy store. w00t me! :rocker: Plus, after the holidays, I might get this sweeter job at the local arcade!
Enough about me, I know I'm boring! :D

Hello classic gamers,
My name is Brad Prillwitz (purenergy), and I live in Sherman, Texas (about one hour North of Dallas, Texas.)
I've been reading the forums for a long time, but haven't posted much. I can't remember when I found the Digital Press site. Possibly through the newsletter?
My favorite games: (not anymore, as my collection has been sold.)
Atari 2600: Skeleton+
Atari 5200: Miner 2049er
Atari 8-bit computers: Jumpman
Atari 7800: Tower Toppler
Atari Lynx: Chip's Challenge
Atari Jaguar: Tempest 2000
NES: Super Mario 3
SNES: Yoshi's Island: Super Mario World 2
Gameboy: Tetris Blast
Gameboy Advance: Wario Ware
N64: Rush 2
Gamecube: Hudson Collection Vol. 3: PC Genjin (Bonk's Adventure, Import)
Sega Master System: Montezuma's Revenge
Game Gear: Devilish
Genesis: Sonic 3
Saturn: Last Gladiators Pinball
Dreamcast: San Francisco Rush 2049
Playstation: Driver
PS2: Katamari Damancy
Vectrex: Frogger
Intellivision: Diner
ColecoVision: Jumpman Jr.
Neo Geo: Viewpoint
Neo Geo Pocket Color: Crush Roller
TurboGrafx: Devil's Crush
Turbo CD: Gate of Thunder
X-Box: Halo
I collect for any system listed above, but currently, I'm looking to complete my Dreamcast collection. (update: my colelction has been sold, due to tough economic times. Hope to start collecting again someday.)
In real life, I'm an assistant manager for a major retailer. Not the greatest job, but I'm happy.
(update: now working another job that I won't mention, because it sucks and pay is low.)
I've been in the gaming world since my parents bought a Pong clone, back in the seventies! The first system that I purchased was a ColecoVision, which still works today. I remember spending hours playing Pepper II, and Mousetrap, back in the good ol' days. :)
After the crash in the mid eighties, I bought everything from a mail order retailer called Video Take Out, located somewhere in California. They even had some rare goodies like Atari Video Cube for the 2600, and some hard to find 5200 games.
Video Take Out kept me informed of what was about to be released, and I bought my first NES from them.
I will never forget trying to get R.O.B. to balance those spinning tops! And, R.O.B. ended up in the trash a few years later, when nobody wanted him. :(
I enjoyed meeting classic gaming fans at the CGE shows that I've attended (CGE99, CGE2K1, CGE2K3), and it's great to find more classic gaming fans at the Digital Press site!
And, the Oklahoma Gaming Expo in Tulsa this year was fun. Nothing like CGE, but because it was smaller, it was more personal. I would like to see more competition at any gaming event, kind of like the couch at CGE this year. Not for any prizes, but to enjoy the games more, and have a more "personal and up close" event.
(Every gaming expo has been a wonderful event to remember, not the games, but the people who enjoy the games!)
Happy gaming!
:-D

I'm James Mondor, 21, from the wonderful dead factory town of Southbridge.
Jesus, er, Scott(clubninja)... Brother and fellow Öyster Boy came down from upon high and bade me to the NECG meet.
I had read the forums before, but decided to join after meeting all the happy peoples! ^_^
My favourite games are mostly shmups, Tempest, Gyruss, Yar's Revenge. I do like 8/16-bit rpgs, as well as crpgs. I don't collect as much as play, so if I have some crazygonuts rare that you want, but I think is a horrible game... you've a good chance of getting it. :D
I try to stick to 2600/5200 stuff as far as consoles and C64/128/Amigas on the vintage computing end. I don't really have the space for much else.
My first console was the 2600, started playing that when I was very young, and have been since. That says something for the games, I've been playing them for ~20 years and I still love 'em!
As far as "modern" systems go, I mostly stick with gba. I've got a DC.. that's the newest home console. I wouldn't mind getting into GC, but I'll probably start poking around for TG16 stuff before then.
I'm a ham, KB1FJQ, though I sold my rig last year :P
I do commercial photography and internet sales for Gordon Music, inc.
I make shitty music of various types. Synth patch programming is more fun for me than actual coherent musical creation. Though, I am trying to learn organ.
I wuuuuub synths, if you've got some, broken or not, that's good trade bait. :D
Synth list for those interested:
Yamaha TX802, WX5, AN200
Alesis S4
Korg Poly-800 II
Roland MS-1
HardSID
(rare!!!11omg!)Commodore FM Expander w/ keyboard
I had a Roland JX8p, she was mint, I wish I didn't sell her, but I wanted money for a Monomachine (http://www.monomachine.com)... which I ended up not being able to afford :(
I like beers you can chew, and scotch whisky, but I don't drink too much anymore.
okies, enough rambling. Take care all ^_^

ahh yes. I have finally made the plunge to join another forum. I have been using this site's rarity guide for some time, and I think it's time I should show some respect and join the community. I am actually a little annoyed I didn't do so sooner. In any event, everyone seems quite helpful and this site is a great resource in general so I just wanted to give the big "wave" to all on here.
I usually post on neo-geo.com, but I am starting to branch out to other systems as well i.e - Genny/MD, SNES, Sega CD, Saturn, etc.
I do have a somewhat solid Neo Geo AES collection if anyone is interested in the Neo. I know there are a couple of Neo members on here. I see you :D
Thanks for such a great site.

Name's Jason Dvorak, born and raised in Chicago suburbs. Will be 27 in December.
My original video game journey began with the old Odyssey Pong machines, but it wasn't until that fateful day my dad brought home the 2600 and Pac-Man. After claiming how good I was in the arcade, he handed me the controller, and I died within two pellots. My father looked at me and said, "I thought you said you were good at this?"
After almost getting out of gaming (I was down to a TG16 with 3 games around 1994), something inside me snapped and I had to have everything. I currently own about 3700 video games across 20+ different systems. This is all I do. That and draw a video game store comic at www.game-rave.com.
I collect for pretty much everything, but right nwo I am focusing and finishing up the entire PSX library (100 games to go for all 1240), the NES, and then the Saturn / Sega CD.
Currently I am an Assistant Manager at EB Games (we'e one of the good ones, honest!), but did 2 years with www.gameshark.com under the Interact banner and also ran my own fanzine (Game Rave) for 3 and 1/2 years before burning out on the monthly schedule.
I don't seem to have a specific favorite game genre, since it constantly depends on the mood I'm in. My all time favorite games list would include Kaboom, Haunted House, Final Fantasy 1 + 6,7, Metal gear Solid, Ninja Spirits...to name a few.
Having been asked if I were Captain N, I seem to havefound my calling LOL
I'll admit that I'm a very bad home body, and will eventually get my ass in gear and get out to the expos and stuff to meet other DP users, including the VideoGames Etc store. I just can't pull myself away from the games.
Here's to good times and high scores.

Hey, just thought I'd take a few moments to write a little about my self, I'm 24 male, from the UK. Been into gaming for over 19 years first system I played on was a spectrum 48k. And the beloved game was the classic JetPak. Its a classic and if you've never tried it I would highly recommend that you do. After that I was hooked. My older bro borrowed the system off a friend and after a couple of goes I was demanding my own speccie system! Which my parents presented to me on my next birthday. After my years of buying magazines loaded with games on and seeing my collection mount, in between regular shopping trips to score the latest tape games and button bashing the arcades... systems I've owned since..
spectrum 2+, spectrum 3+, megadrive (genesis), mega cd (sega cd), sega 32x addon, sega saturn, sega gamegear, nintendo gameboy, SNES,nintendo 64, playstation, atari jaguar, neogeo pocket, pc.
I try to practice and play regulary.. but work life is very busy.. away from gaming I enjoy spending time, with friends, family, going to concerts, reading, music, socialising.

Hey all, I am the GameGuru and I live in Minnesota. I actually stumbled across this forum while searching for classic system info in Google. I actually own and run Nostalgia Gaming (http://www.nostalgia-gaming.com) and even though we are not a big site we are such lovers of classic gaming we try to update often. I own just about every system and my lastest addition is a totally mint Sega Nomad. Well not too exciting but that is me.

My name is Isaac (like the Metal Soldier), I'm 22 years old, married and I live in N'awlins; New Orleans for those of you who're unhip...
I stumbled across the site a few weeks ago and lurked for a bit before I registered... Ironically, I saw the site in EGM a day or two after I found it.
I'm currently collecting for anything I can afford but I prefer 16/32 bit systems and computers. I currently own (with fav games):
Atari 1200XL - Panther/S.W.A.T.
Atari 1040STf - Jinks
Commodore 64
Atari 2600 - Mario Bros.
Atari 5200 - Pole Position 2
Nintendo NES - Super Mario Bros. 3
Atari Lynx - S.T.U.N. Runner
Sega Genesis w/ 32x - Lightening Force a.k.a Thunder Force IV
JVC X'Eye - Snatcher
Atari Jaguar (now dead) - Iron Soldier & Tempest 2000
Sega Saturn - Galactic Attack & Galaxy Force II
Neo Geo Pocket Color - Match of the Millenium: SvC
Sega Dreamcast - Rez
Sony PS2 - Einhander & Thunder Force V/ Xenosaga
Gameboy Advance - Sonic Advance
Fave game overall: Final Fantasy VII
In real life, I'm a producer. I make hip-hop tracks for the money (to feed my gaming habits, of course), but I produce Drum'n'Bass/Jungle for the love of the music. I'm currently desparately seeking a PC-FX w/ Team Innocent, Battle Heat and Tengai Makyo.
Also, Thunder Force heads will know where my screenname comes from ;)
I'm a 19 year old Bio major from New York City. I found the site while looking for info on Bio-Miracle Bokette Upa. I love platformers, shoot 'em ups, beat 'em ups, Rogue-likes, and the occassional console RPG. I don't actually collect, since I have very little money to do so, but I do enjoy the emulation scene. It's allowed me to play games I could only read about when I was a kid.
I was a huge gamer growing up, but then I hit high school, and begging my parents for a 200 dollar system and 50 dollar games quit being a viable option. Most of the people around me looked upon video gaming as something you grow out of, or as a male thing (unfortunately, my genitals are of the opposite variety). I did save up for a few Gameboy Color games during this period, but it was mostly a long dry spell. Then I got a computer when I graduated high school (via some money I'd won at the graduation ceremonies), and I discovered emulation and GameFAQs.
I have a definite bias for the 16 bit, Sega vs. Nintendo era, but I find that the earliest days of gaming are beginning to fascinate me.
I like picking up interesting bits of information on the industry.

Hi Everybody! My name is Mike and I live in the always entertaining city of Detroit. I've been collecting video games ever since my mom got me a Nintendo on Christmas of '85, and it's only gotten more obsessive from there. At the current time I have around 500 games for 23 game systems. Right now I am trying to complete my 32x collection and I am also slowly chipping away at my Genesis collection.
Other than being a video game junkie, I have become strangley dependent on football, which is odd considering that the Lions couldn't play thier way out of a paper bag. I also love hockey as do most people from Detroit, and have been playing it for about 12 years now. Thats it for now. I'll see everyone on the message boards!

Hi, I'm Austin, 19 years old, lived in Florida my whole live, saw snow once. Leaving for basic training in the Air Force in January. My plan is USA for 4 years, then Japan for 2 years, then I'm out :). I've lurked around in the forums for about a year.
Only had a NES (20 games)and then a Genesis(4 games..), then N64(3 games). Because I didn't really have any good games, I never got into consoles that much.
Most of my gaming came from PC games, Ultima Online, Quake 2/3, Diablo, Baldur's Gate. Collecting started about 2 years ago when I got a job. I just wanted to see what I've been missing, stuff I've only dreamed about. I collect for every system, and so far I have about 400 games and 15 systems.
I'm a real die hard Splinter Cell fan, I've made a stealth walkthrough on GameFAQs. Right now I'm trying to finish a video of my walkthrough, so people can download it before I leave.
I love Action RPGs...Neverwinter Nights, Zelda, Illusion of Gaia, KOTOR, etc.
Then stealth games, Tenchu, Thief 1/2, Splinter Cell.
Others include: Castlevania, fighting games(Samarai Shodown, MK:DA), NBA Street, Road Rash, 1080 Snowboarding.
Favorite game of all time: Ultima Online, never played it on OSI, just all the free shards. Stopped playing a while ago since free shards like to refresh and delete everything every year or few months. I'm dying to play it when I get out of basic training.
I haven't played too many games, and I hate emulation. I'm still missing out on all the popular stuff. I've never really played a turn-based RPG before, I've love to, but I don't have time to get into any right now.
Currently though, just got a Neo Geo AES, Neo Geo CD, and Metal Slug X. My family is paying for the $120 AES as a christmas present(I have to wait till the 25th!), and I bought the NG CD for $30, then Metal Slug X for $75. And of course I'll pick up each Samarai Shodown :). Also I'm finally getting a GameCube for christmas, then I'll shell out the money for 1080 Avalanche, can't wait.

Hi, my name is Brad Johnson... I've been a regular on the AtariAge message boards for quite some time, and only recently decided to start posting here too. I have no idea how I originally found out about this board... I've known about it for a long time, but never bothered with these forums for some reason.
Anyways, I'm 23 years old and grew up with a ColecoVision and a C-64. A while back, I was having problems with insomnia, and decided that it would be cool to find an old Atari 2600 so I could play video games at night instead of just lying there (I have no idea how I figured video games would solve my insomnia  ). About a month later, I managed to find an Atari and a few games... eventually things snowballed into a full-blown collection, and I now have about 12 or 13 systems hooked up in my room alone, and a room full of old 80's computers downstairs as well.
My favorite systems are the Dreamcast, Jaguar, Vectrex, ColecoVision, and of course, the Atari 2600. I don't generally bother with newer consoles, but I did get a Gamecube a while ago. I don't think I could even list all my favorite games, since there are just so many... but some of my absolute favorites are 80's arcade games such as Moon Patrol, Berzerk, Wizard of Wor, Major Havoc, Asteroids, Space Invaders, Bosconian, Frogger and so on... Thank god for MAME! :)

Hello. Long time lurker, new time poster. Name is Ron Huffine, from Colfax NC. 21 and gamer for almost 15 straight years now (Christmas is the aniversary of my first system, Sega Master System). I used to have a great collection of games for every system since NES and SMS, but had to sell a number of them to get through a rough patch (Did manage to keep the SAT, SCD, SMS and some of the Gen games though). I don't remember how I found this site, but I love it. I hope to rebuild my collection or sell it completely to someone who can appreciate it.
And the moment I find a working arcade OutRun deluxe (moving) for sale, I'm sold.

Hi. I'm A.J. (Schenley was a fraternity nickname). I'm a 35 year old teenager living in central New Jersey. I'm getting married (again) in April. I own a computer networking company - on my 7th year in business! (OK, that's enough 'personal' information. :o
My history of gaming:
-The first game I saw was Space Invaders in (roughly) 1979. It was in the game room at the campground where my family stayed all summer. It was so much cooler than the pinball machines, and always had a line of kids waiting to play.
-In 7th or 8th grade, while all my friends were getting Atari 2600, Intellivisions, and Colecovisions, my parents decided that I couldn't get a 'mindless' gaming system, but instead I could get a newfangled home computer. They thought that I could actually learn something. I decided on the Tandy Color Computer. It had a whopping 4K of memory, chicolet style keys, no hard drive, or even a floppy drive. And, it only cost $400!! I would stay up all night long typing in programs out of magazines and then spend a week looking for bugs or typos - just to play a corny sub hunt game with huge blocks, and only 16 colors. Eventually I progressed to the much improved Coco3, with 128K! I also got a floppy drive, so I could buy better games. The games I remember most are Poltergeist (http://nitros9.stg.net/poltergeist.html) and DoodleBug (a LadyBug ripoff) (http://nitros9.stg.net/doodlebug.html). I also liked Donkey King (http://nitros9.stg.net/donkeyking.html). (You should check out those links! Ahhh, nostalgia)
-Along this time, I spent some time at friends house with their 2600's and Colecovisions. On the 2600, I can remember Dragster, Haunted House, Pitfall2, and the extremely lame PacMan. I don't remember much from the Colecovision, but I do remember playing it (now that I have my own - more later).
-In high school, I got a job at Henry's Playland - an arcade on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. I rode my 10-speed bike 12 miles each way. I was introduced to tons of new games - Spy Hunter, Defender, Dragon's Lair. I can vividly remember calls of "Body Blow, Body Blow" from Super Punch-Out. I never played that then, but now it brings back memories of that summer when I play it.
-I also rode to the local arcade which only stayed in business about a year. There I played stuff like Tron, Galaga, PacMan, Joust, and Mr. Do!
-In college, I spent a whole year playing Indiana Jones (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=I&game_id=8186) and Chase H.Q. (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=C&game_id=7318)
-After my freshman year, I got into PCs and didn't go to arcades much. Eventually, I started playing only PC games - here are my favorites chronologically: Duke Nukem 3d, Grim Fandango, Quake III, Half-Life, Max Payne, GTA3 Vice City, Simpsons Hit & Run (currently playing that one...)
-Fast forward to now. We decided to have an 80s themed Halloween party, so I really wanted to get into the spirit of the 80s. I started buying retro stuff - a magic 8ball, rubik's cube, Coleco's handheld football and baseball games. I saw the Atari 10-in-1 game (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000645DD/102-1103261-9987366) that's out now, and immediately bought it. Once I played it, though - I thought how cool would it be to have a real one? I started looking online, bought a couple 2600s and a Colecovision on Ebay. I also ran into a little program called MAME - that's it, I was hooked. I built a custom arcade cabinet for the MAME setup - with a 21" monitor, Hanaho's Hotrod joystick panel. That was a HUGE hit at the party - I got three serious offers from people wanting me to build them one!
I will eventually get some pictures of my game room up on my web site. I've got a pool table, electronic dartboard, bar with kegerator, the MAME cabinet, and a 52" TV with the Colecovision and 2600s. I also have a table set up with the old Cocos - one that I got on EBAY, and one I dug out of my father's attic. Oh, by the way, I was PacMan, and my fiance was Speedy (the pink ghost) for our Halloween party. Check out the pictures on my web site. (www.griglak.com/Galleries/031031_Halloween) You can see the MAME cabinet...
Well, that's enough blabbing for now. Hope to 'meet' a lot of you on the forums...

My name is Rob, 22 years old. Living in the Netherlands (Enschede).
First found those ultimate gamerooms (think by a lucky Google click) and after that i found these forums. Love to read a bout other people who collect nice stuff :)
In real life i'm a student (something with computers :))
Favorite games are mostley Nintendo games or Nintendo style games. Besides that i love Gran Turismo 3 :)
I don't collect for a particular system, period or brand. Everything i get my hands on and is a console is welcome in my little collection (from homecomputers to nextgen's). But Nintendo and Sega systems are my main thing. I also prefer hardware instead of games (and i like the hardware boxed)
Currently i'm owning the follow systems:
Nintendo: NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Gameboy and GBA (all boxed)
Sega: Mastersystem, Megadrive, Megdrive II, MegaCD II, Saturn, Dreamcast, GameGear (all boxed)
Atari: 2600 and 7800 (both boxed) (also got an 1040 STf with box)
Sony: Playstation and Playstation II (only box i'm missing ... the Playstation box :( )
(and for the rest an C128, but Homecomputers are not my thing)
Started collecting for about a year ago, together with a mate. Got most of the main systems. To bad i don't have such a budget to buy specials or console's like an AES or PC Engine etc. (those are expensive bitches in Holland/Europe). For those systems i've got about 175 games. Nothing special i think (maybe my near mint Lunar Eternal Blue for Sega CD wich i get for free together with a saturn :))
Also got about 80 pc games, but i quit "collecting" them since they put all games in DVD boxes here in europe.

Hey everybody, what's up? My name is Jeff and I am an 18 year old college student from Canada. I have just over 200 games (http://go-acct.com?go=<a href=)" onmouseover="window.status = 'goto: games (http://go-acct.com?go=games)';return 1" onmouseout="window.status=''">games (http://go-acct.com?go=games)</a> in total across 8 or so consoles. I have only been collecting for about a half a year and am loving it :D
I am hoping to get into the console/electronic repair business upon completion of my Electronic Engineering technician course, mainly so I can buy consoles dirt cheap and fix them up myself :-P
I wish this site continued success in the future and hopefully it will get better every year!

- Who you are
Nebagram, optional definite article at the front. Real name is Ben and I like all things that involve videogames and "Countdown".
- Where you live
Lincoln, England- not exactly a hub of videogame activity but I get by.
- How you found the forums
Followed a link from an RPG gaming site. The sad thing is, that was four months ago and I've only just registered... :hmm:
- What your favorite games are
Anything with "Mario" in the title :D I guess I'm just a Nintendo whore, really, but Mario games have been tip-top for 18 years (say what you will, I personally couldn't put Sunshine down) for a reason.
- What systems you collect for
Mainly old Sega and Nintendo- I own- Megadrive, Saturn, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, and my most recently acquired pride and joy, an Atari Lynx Mk 1 (with AC adaptor so no going bankrupt on batteries! :D )
- What you do in "real life"
I work for a software firm. A perk of this is that one of our support technicians has a massive (and I do not use italics lightly) collection, he's the only person I know who practically drooled over his 520ST when it arrived in the post. He's also offered to flog me his Atari Jaguar when he gets bored of it :D
- Any other interesting facts, like how you began collecting, etc
I only began seriously collecting when I entered gainful employment two years ago, but I've racked up a modest amount of games (137 at last count, plenty more on the way, though) in that time, but I've been playing ever since the days of "Video Pinball" and "Missile Command" on the Atari 2600. That was 1987. I was 4. I am still yet to properly grow up. LOL
So, in summing up, hi. :)

Started playing games around the time Nintendo came out. Got so hooked on it I was called Nintendo freek. But whenever anyone needed help on a game I was the one to be called. The funny thing is that I didn't own a nintendo game but had tons of games. I would just play at friends houses.
Final Fantasy 3 (6 in japan) is my all time favorite game. Still have the game. I hear it's worth some money. I think I saw it on ebgames for 45 dollars. Cool.
that's about it. Oh, I love House music. Use to dj but still have my equipment,

Well I was bon in 1987 so I didn't play atari, colecovision, intellivision and those other old systems. I use to always play Nintendo, genesis, and snes back when I was little. I always liked the older systems and I just recently started collecting. I collect nes, snes, sms, genesis, atari 2600, as of right now. I hope to get a sega cd and a sega 32x soon. If I come accross older systems at garage sales or from friends I'll buy them. Ebay is too expensive though.
- What you do in "real life"
Unemployed right now. I just skateboard and hang out with friends and play old video games.
- Any other interesting facts, like how you began collecting, etc.
I always liked old games so I decited to start collecting a few months ago. I had a start already with my genesis, and 2 nintendos and a few games. I mainly just ask friends for games and systems and buy them for cheap or get them for free.

My name is Keith, 34, and a huge huge PacMan and Colecovision fan. Just joined today after my buddies got me a Colecovision for Christmas. When I opened the box I got the same feeling of excitement that I had when I opened my old Colecovision on Christmas way back in 1982.
I have all the new current systems but spend most of my time playing the old stuff on my PC. Thank God for emulation!

Hi, my name is Laura and I'm an....whoops, wrong forum! :D
I currently reside in Texas and was referred to DP by some of the guys on AtariAge when I was looking for a pricing guide. As with others, I buy/sell/trade to support my hobby (or as Dave Barry said, "There's a fine line between hobby and mental illness."). Anyway, I was searching Miss Piggy on e-bay one day when a "Pigs in Space" Atari cart popped up. I remembered all of the good times that I had playing Atari as a kid and well, that was it. Well, a 2600, 5200, 7800, NES, SNES, N64, GBA, PS1, INTV, TI-99, multiple Pong unit and a Genesis later, here I am. The games that I play the most at this moment are Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for the GB and NES Dr. Mario. Yep, puzzle games are definitely my thing! To support my habit, I help pharmaceutical and medical device companies get their products FDA-approved and on the market.
I am always looking for new stuff and currently have a massive trade list so please take a look! A link to it should be in my signature.

- Who you are: I'm Nick. I'm 19. I also go by "rawisjericho54" on the GameFAQS Message Boards, but have only been into collecting for a few months (as of Jan. 04)
- Where you live: I'm from West Virginia.
- How you found the forums: I just found the link on someone's links page and was impressed from there on.
- What your favorite games are: Sure, I'll go for the games that everyone else marks out for: Super Metroid and River City Ransom. I actually grew up on those games however, unlike a lot of people. Aside from that, I'm currently enjoying everything about Contra: Shattered Soldier.
- What systems you collect for:
Mostly NES, but I pick up what I can find. There's not a lot around here anyway. I really just started collecting in August of 2003, and my collection has tripled since then, so I'm doing pretty well for myself.
- What you do in "real life":
I'm a graphic designer for the state Division of Tourism.
- Any other interesting facts, like how you began collecting, etc:
I've always enjoyed games, and really only got into collecting shortly after I got my current job. I could never afford it before, even though it was something I always wanted to do. Not that I can really afford it now, but I make do.
