Tell us any or all of the following:
- Who you are

- How you found the forums
- What your favorite games are
- What systems you collect for
- What you do in "real life"
- Any other interesting facts, like how you began collecting, etc.
NOTE: posts here that are NOT introductions will be removed, so if you want to say hello to someone, start a new topic to do so.
Let us begin.

I'm Joe Santulli, from scenic Pompton Lakes, NJ.
I'm the Editor-in-Chief of a small but enduring publication known as Digital Press, which is a hybrid of many different forms of media that caters to the gaming elite - those who love the classics. We started in 1992 and have done several books, over fifty periodicals, a ColecoVision game (Ms. Space Fury) and a music CD (courtesy Tony Fox NYC).
I'm the originator of the Tips & Tricks magazine column, "Collector's Closet" which started with the September 2001 issue. I did that for over three years. I still get a kick out of the fact that I was getting a paycheck from Larry Flynt.
I'm also a co-organizer of Classic Gaming Expo which runs frequently in Las Vegas, established in 1999. You can find out more about this convention at www.cgexpo.com
I left my "real job" in corporate America in September of 2005 to open my own videogame store. You can find out lots more about that from just poking around the site here or reading my myspace blog (http://blog.myspace.com/digitalpress).
As you might guess by this, I get bored pretty easily. Which leads to my little hobby. I've been collecting videogames since 1977, though I still have an Odyssey1 system from 1972. I don't know how many games I have in my collection, but as most collectors know, it just never ends. I've taken over several rooms in our house (as discreetly as possible). See www.videogamecollectors.com/gallery/digitalpress for a visual.
Always happy to mingle with other gamers, especially die-hards. See you on the forums!

My turn, my turn!!
I'm Jaime, 24, from Maine, and a GIRL thankyouverymuch (Darn androgyneous name!!) ;)
First system I ever played was the Atari 2600 back in the day. Seems we fought over whose turn it was next more than we actually played, when I think back! One of the banes of having to share with four siblings =) However, we eeked in enough game time to pull the rubber coating off all the joysticks we owned.
We didn't get our next system until about 6 months after the NES debuted, as a birthday present for my oldest brother. Ahh.. the joys of SMB! Once he hit puberty, he discovered the job of taking his gaming rage out on the console, and we quickly went through four consecutive consoles until he decided NOT to wear his boots when playing anymore.
I don't collect much, more for financial reasons than anything else, so I'm a gamer if you need a label. You'll most likely find me spamming the HECK out of the off-topic forum, but I like to add my two cents in other places now and then.
Okay, who's next?

My name is Dan and I hail from Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. I am a PC Tech Administrator for a small electrical wholesaler. As a side hobby I am a PC game designer/creator (strictly 2-D, can't quite get the knack of the 3D stuff) and my current project is at saviorknight.com/ (I know, shameless plug).
I stumbled upon the DP site some time ago when looking for classic video game reviews and information and have been coming back ever since. For gaming I'm an old school Nintendo fan (hence the nick) but also I have interests in the newer-yet-dead system category (Jaguar, Saturn, soon maybe a 3DO). Out of any genre I must say I am a big platformer and arcade fan. And I seem to be one of the few who think the TRS-80 Color Computer was a fun gaming platform.
I began collecting games around 1989/1990 when I had both a NES and an SMS. Other than games, I like to write (fiction mainly, but I also do technical writing if needed like instruction manuals and such), cook, and have a strange affection for hand puppets.

Hey there everyone, I'm Tyler, and I discovered this wonderful board way back in February of 2001.
I am 27 years old and incredibly blessed to be married to the love of my life. I work in Video Production.
I own over 20 consoles (handhelds included), collected mostly between the years 1994 - 2003. Gaming was a hobby I shared mostly with my Dad who passed away in 2007. He left me with an enormous collection of over 700 games, each filled with their own unique memories of growing up in a Nintendo / Sega dominated VG market.
It amazes me how I've been a contributing member of these forums for over 12 years! Long live retro gaming!

My name is Den. I'm 34 years old and live in Michigan. I've been married for 6 years (Carol) and have a 2 year old daughter (Allison). I also have a dog (Stevie), she's a lab/rott mix. For the past 8 years I've been Creative Services Manager for a marketing firm that specializes in logoed apparel and merchandise. My degree is in graphic/advertising design.
I've been a video game fan since my first Atari 2600 in 1980. From there I went to the Commodore 64 then NES, then Genesis, then PSX. I still have all my original systems and games and for the past year and a half have been actively collecting for any video game item I can find. As a result my basement has become quite cluttered.
Oh well.

Back to the grindstone...
This is Mat living it round about in England (like you couldn't get that from the side!). The title kind of gives away which system I'm most involved in! So much so that Joe is kind enough to let me head up that section in the DP guide :)
Not just the C64 I work with however. The 7800 also gets some attention from time to time, especially as I have just secured myself a complete copy of Tank Command and some of the HES releases.
Been playing for too long perhaps... ever since the parents got me a Pong type console at the back end of the 70s. From there the VCS came and went, and in its place sat the C64. And it's been there for the last 18 years. I'm also a Nintendo fan, so most of their consoles have been through my hands also.
Jobwise, I work for HP now (used to be Compaq until the merger) doing some support work. But as the Dire Straits song goes it's "money for nothing". Sadly I don't get my chicks for free! :p
Not that I wouldn't mind PoG, Atar1g1rl or QoF giving me their attentions now ;)
Oh, before I forget... go visit www.mayhem64.co.uk and see what you think...

My name is Jonathan, I'm 18 and I'm from New Zealand. :)
Like many of you I've been playing Videogames what seems like my whole life, I have no real special affiliation to any one company - I do have a soft spot for certain Nintendo games, The Legend of Zelda being my favourite ever since I can remember.
I'm so glad I was never one to sell off my old game stuff, it would be almost impossible (either that or too expensive) to get it all again, especially here in NZ where there's hardly any good stuff but a lot of people around that want it. :x I'm just very lucky I guess.
Collecting games is very fun, but it's just playing them that gives me the most satisfaction. I am just so sick and tired of all the constant console bashing that goes on in other forums, I don't understand why people can't just play and admit when a game is damn fun - despite what console it may appear on!
Anyway that's my rant over. I found this site while looking for a games list I think it was awhile back, been around ever since. I've changed my board name but I didn't post much anyway so it's no biggy.
Umm yeah, new forum looks awesome. I'm happy to be here. :)
PS: If anyone could help fix my icon i'd be even more happy, it was originally 80x80 but when it went down to 50x50 it got that stupid outline thing, PM me or something if you know what to do - Cheers.

The below excerpt is copied from a previous post to an older, less sophisticated message forum. If you enjoy reading it, new posts by the author will be available often at the NEW Digital Press Retrogaming Roundtable. Don't miss an issue!
For a very long time I'd been meaning to check out the 'Introductions' thread. I couldn't remember if I had ever posted to introduce myself, and meant to do so if I hadn't previously. Of course, I am a champion procrastinator, and I never got a round tuit (well, since that time in the 6th grade when my Dad gave me one...).
So here I am, taking advantage of the fresh start on the topic and presenting myself to the world here at DP.com.
I'm Steve Jacobs. With a not uncommon name like that, it's awfully hard to think up an easy-to-remember, unique AOL screen-name. What would be easy for people to remember and associate with >me<, that hadn't already been thunk up? Hence my screen-name - NoahsMyBro.
I'm in my mid-30's. It's been nearly 20 years since I was good at videogames, but at least now I can afford to get them, and I plan on getting in serious practice time 35 years from now when I'm retired!
I live in West Orange, New Jersey, with my wife Jessica and my son Nate, currently 17 months. During working hours I am the System Administrator/Helpdesk/Tech Geek for a web-consulting company in Little Falls. Our company is involved in ERP, CRM, B2B, etc... Don't ask me to explain the terms, but if any of our people needs help with their email I'm the Man!
I like tinkering with electronics, and (when I have the time) enjoy messing around making custom controllers for the old game systems. Some of the most fun I ever had with my 7800 was fabricating 2 controller adapters that allow you to use Sega Genesis controllers on the 7800, with 2 fully-functional, independent fire buttons. My favorite systems are the 5200 & the Dreamcast.
I have a small, crude but functional vanity website located at http://www.jacobshome.org. You may find out more about my interests there.
Lastly, I enjoy sci-fi, music of almost any kind, and until I moved to NJ and got well-acquainted with their overly present troopers, driving (fast).

I'm Mark, 19 (12-30-1982) years old. I live in the small town of Elburg in the Netherlands. In september I'm going to study Notary law (or however it's called in english) so I can make lots of money and buy happiness.
In general I collect for all sega systems and the psx, but I try to focus on the Saturn. Most games for the system suck, but it's the most fun/easy to collect for here.
Some of my favorite games are Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Castle of Illusion, Shenmue, Tekken 3 and Sonic.

Here we go again...
I'm Chris, also known as Kaine23 or Bahamut in the Internet community. I'm 25 and living in NJ, graduated a community college with an AAS in computers, trying to look for any work right now, may be going back to a school soon enough.
My first system was an Atari 2600, then a Commodore 64, Atari XE and then I entered the NES era. From there I got a SNES, Sega CDX, N64 and a PSX. I've recently gotten more into retro gaming with my SNES, and been playing my PSX and N64 more. Also deciding to start collecting, perhaps with the NES or Atari 2600 since I still have it.
I also have a Dragonball Z site at:

I am Josef, a.k.a MankeyMan. I am from America's 52nd state, which is generally called England.
First things first, i am in no way associated with Pokemon or monkeys. I have just finished my GCSE's (annoying english tests, 14 of them) and I am now free to laze around all summer, spamming these boards.
I have many projects on the go, all half finished, most of which will never see the light of day. Some of these include my website:
http://crapgames.tripod.com
as well as looking for a job. If anyone has one that involves not doing very much I'd be happy to do it :)
I am mainly a nintendo man, as I have all of their consoles except a Virtual Boy (they always miss us out !"$%"£).
Wow, I ramble,

Ummm ... I don't really like talking about myself with people I don't really know. Buffy DP is probably my best online friend (I think I'd glue myself to her if I could =P ), I know POG quite well ( cause she's a sweetheart) and I used to play PSO with Joe ( which I miss very much), but other than that I don't really know anyone else. I used to post her, but I quickly tired of the lamers that infected this board, so I've been waiting till things were cleaned up. It seems alot nicer around here now and I should start posting here a little more frequently.
If you wish to find out some stuff about me use the "--> \^w^/ <--" link in my sig. It's my first attempt at a homepage. Just shows pictures of my place, some stories I wrote (one of which is video game related =P ) , photos I've taken and other junk. It says alot about me, so that should suffice (I hope).
Anyway ... the new place looks great and I look forward to posting here.

Hey Everyone. My name is Brian but somehow the nickname bigdaddychester was given to me and has since become my alias. I'm 31 and I live in Milton, West Virginia with my wife Amy and our 6 month old daughter Caitlin. I'm a process machinery designer and during the summer weekends, I work for dirt race track in southern Ohio. Money was tight as a kid growing up but my first console was a Bally Astrocade (Which I still play!) I don't have a preference toward a particular system but I like to collect games that I will play. I have only been collecting since about January. Joe, this website rocks. I'm not sure how I found but I'm glad I did!!

Hey,
I'm a game collector from East Texas. My name is Wes Southern. If your from East Texas and wonder why it's so dry it's because all the games are at my house.
I got into collecting games before I even knew what game collecting was. While at RIT (Rochester Institute of Tech.) I left all my old gaming equipment at home in my closet. Well, At college computer gaming and internet gaming were the big things with DOOM and later Quake.
After finishing up and getting a job my parents said, "come home and clean all your crap out or it's going in the trash!" well, maybe they didn't say it like that but I remember it being close. So I went home and started going threw boxes of old love letters and clothes so out of style that just touching them could cause permanent virginity.
Well, I came across something wonderful! my old NES! there it was! I thought I traded this old POS for a quarter bag of weed and a Metallica tape in '88. Guess I explained why my memory of that period was fuzzy.
So I continue deeper into the closet.. Some NES games here, an Intelevision cart there. Then a box of Amiga Floppies. My Amiga! I remembered that somewhere was my old Amiga 1000. I had left it somewhere at home 5 years prior and it "must" still be here. I looked everywhere. I went to the garage, there it was! In it's box! I remember how I had sold my neighbor my old (and loaded) C64 back in 86 for $500.00 so I could afford some of the $800 the Amiga cost me.
I loaded it all up and took it to my new pad. Broke off my ass working that first resume job; Which is sort of like being in boot camp.
I only had a 25 inch TV and some old games.. I couldn't afford $199 and $60 for the newest games. I couldn't afford that $4.31 movie rental! I was bored out of my mind!
I hooked up the NES and played threw Zelda, it was WONDERFUL. I was young agian! I didn't cheat and it had been so long. I burned all the bushes, bombed all the walls. I was in gaming nostagia heaven.
I hooked up my old Intellevision and played some Snafu, "damn these controllers suck! I love it!"
So one weekend I'm out looking for some games.. everything new is to much for the guy with the car payment, rent and *insert more debt here*
So I figure I'll go to a pawn and see if I can score some cheap games. I find NES games for $1.99! Megaman! Adventure Island! Dragon Warrior! SMB3! I had just scored 2 months of entertainment for pennies on the dollar!
From there it was just a small jump to a weekend flee market and 100's of Atari, snes, genesis Colecovision games later..
.. I was a Game Collector..

Hi!
My name is Pascal Reeves, i'm a Canadian living in the city of Saint-Jerome (Saint-Antoine) in the province of Quebec. I'm a member of the CCJVQ/QVGCC (Quebec Video Game Collector Club).
Right now i'm still in college to get my diploma in Networking/Telecomm.
I collecting everything for the NES system since the end of the 80's and thrifting and flea marketing to find cool/weird/unusual stuff from the 70's and 80's is one of my favorite activities.
I remember some of my early gaming exploit with Donkey Kong on the Trash-80, PONG and Asteroids on the 2600. But it's the NES that really caught me.
My favorite game is WWF Superstars at the arcade. Since the game was release in 1989 i always haved the dream the get the game in my basement one day and i make my dream come true last year by buying a near complete game in a mint cabinet :-)
I found the forum via SLYDC (aka Sylvain de Chantal) that some of you know by his FAQ. One cool thing is SLYDC is living only at 15 minutes from my home.
I've been to the last two Phillyclassic and it was fun to meet some of you (Joe, Jaime, Will, Christian Scott etc etc). I try my best everytime to improve my talking english skills and have better conversation with some of my US neighbours.

Hey boys and girls, the name's Jay and i hail from Brooklyn, NYC ("Hey yo!"). I'm 28, a medical biller/collector, college student majoring in English (no i do NOT wish to teach :) ) and writer for a real website that's set to debut this fall, not the Miscellaneous Crap [tm] featured in my sig.
I've been gaming since the early 80s with Atari systems, handhelds and whatnot. However, my hobby turned hardcore when the NES debuted! SMB had me hooked like crack, and took my love for gaming to the next level. Well here are some miscellaneous facts:
Systems that get the most play time:
PC Engine Duo-R
SNES
Genny 3 (sexiest system ever made. if onlyit had a broadband port so i could make sweet, sweet love to it...*ahem*)
Systems getting some time here and there:
Top Loading NES
Systems getting the gasface:
PS2
My holy grail system would be to score a NEO GEO system, which i plan to start diving into when i finish college this fall. Being in college and collecting for that expesnsive a$$ system do NOT mix.
Favorite Games: Star Parodia (PCE CD), Dracula X (PCE CD), Baseball Stars (NES), Sympony of the Night (PS1), Gunstar Heroes (Genny), Contra (NES), Bonk series (PCE/TG16), Outrun (any system!), Chrono Trigger (SNES), Downtown Nekketsu/Kunio seires (various systems), R-Type Delta, Kid Icarus (we need an update!), Goonies II, and probably a few I forgot :)

My name is Nick, im from Brookfield, IL suburb of Chicago and home of the wonderful Brookfield Zoo. I've been playing videogames since I was 6 years old, when i got a NES on my birthday. (that was a glorious day) Over the years, ive always sold my old system to get the newer better systems, mainly because at the time that was the only way i could affort it. I started missing all my old systems about a year ago, and thats when I started really getting into collecting. So I bought a genesis off of ebay, and traded my friend a ps2 game and pc game for his snes and a few games. That was start of the hobby that now leaves my wallet empty most of the time. :) I now collect for the nes, snes, genesis, neo geo aes, neo geo pocket color, saturn, playstation, dreamcast, and ps2. My collection starts with the nes because thats what i started my gaming career off with. I will someday get into collecting the sega master system and 2600, but thats not a priority right now.
I'm a huge fan a 2D fighters, and a fan of fighting games in general. Shrouyouked! http://www.gamegen.com/fightgen/characters/ryu-animation.gif I've got a pretty good collection of fighting games, although i got a long way to go in terms of neo geo games. SNK for life! Im now starting to get into saturn imports, mainly 2D shooters. (i still need to find radiant silvergun)
I stumbled upon this place on christmas of last year, and im very glad i did. By far the best group of people ever assembled on a message board. The people here made me feel welcomed, and that's why im still here today.

In the intrusively bothersome thing known as real life, my name is Todd and I'm working at a newspaper company in Dayton, Ohio. Aside from the requisite love of gaming, my hobbies include reading, hiking, and animation.
For much of my childhood, my experiences with video games were limited to arcades and the houses of friends, but my parents eventually capitulated and bought a Nintendo Entertainment System for their spastic yet insistent son. My interest in gaming then grew to the point where I now find myself the owner of my still-functional NES as well as a Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Dreamcast, Saturn, PlayStation, Super NES, GameBoy, Neo-Geo Pocket Color, Sega CD, Nintendo64, PlayStation 2, GameBoy Advance, Virtual Boy, and a TurboGrafx-16 that I nicknamed “Pukey.” Don’t ask.
Though I try to play a bit of everything, my favorite games tend to be Japan-bred console RPGs like Chrono Trigger, Popful Mail, Xenogears, Emerald Dragon, Valkyrie Profile, Vagrant Story, Secret of Mana, and Final Fantasy Tactics. Also plentiful in my collection are shooters, puzzle games, platformers, and members of the highly inclusive “action adventure” genre.
I stumbled across Digital Press while poking around the Tips and Tricks webpage, and I’ve visited these boards on a near-daily basis ever since.

You may remember me from such fanzines as Project: Ignition and The Gameroom Blitz!
Anyway, I've known Joe Santulli for a long time... he's a big reason why I started writing about video games in the first place! Ten years later, I'm still doing it. I no longer edit newsletters (too expensive), but my site The Gameroom Blitz is still updated from time to time.
Annnyway, my favorite games are mostly arcade titles from the 80's. Sure they don't have a lot of substance, but fast intense action is what video games are all about in my opinion... the rest is just filler. I strongly resented it back in the late '80s when game companies took popular arcade titles and turned them into generic adventures on the NES. The Nintendo Entertainment System had plenty of these frustrating, convoluted games as it was... Capcom and Tecmo didn't need to add to the pile with so-called arcade "translations" of Strider and Ninja Gaiden.
That turned into a rant awfully quick, didn't it? Heh heh... anyway, here's a list of my personal favorite games...
NightWarriors
Street Fighter (series)
Galaga
Gyruss
Gradius (series)
Aleste (series, includes MUSHA, Zanac, The Guardian Legend, and others)
Gunstar Heroes
Radiant Silvergun
Grandia
Suikoden (usually I won't touch RPGs, but these ones were so good even I couldn't resist them)
Mega Man (early games)
Anything else? Well, I can't think of anything offhand, so I'll wrap up this post right now.

My name's Mike and I live in North Carolina. My state runs on NASCAR, cigarettes, and Smokey & the Bandit marathons.
I'm a student at Salem College in Winston-Salem. I love this school; there's 1,200 students and the classes (when full) total about 14 people.
I'm not a die hard video game collector.; I collect series. My current collection goal is to gain all Bonk games complete. I am missing only two titles, and they're imports! This will be a time consuming experience. In the meantime, I'm leaning toward console purchases.
Sega CD and N64 being my two most likely candidates.
I enjoy reading, writing, and especially drawing. I have a few works that I hope to see as video game characters one day. If not, then I can take solace in knowing they're my own creations. :) If I could somehow get them online, I'd post a few of them. Of course image hosting isn't free any more!
Thanks for listening (reading) and stop by your local convienience store for those refridgerated sandwiches I enjoy so much!

I'm Charles Morgan from Muncie, IN.
I found these forums by trying to find a replacement for my aging Digital Press Collectors Guide 4th Edition.
My favorite games are usually the ones that are disliked by most other people (i.e. Sssnake for the 2600).
I collect for all of the systems that I own and several that I don't (basically, if I find a game system or something for it, I collect it.)
Unlike a lot of people in these forums, I don't really do ANYTHING in "real life". (Before anyone goes ballistic, it's not laziness or unemployment, it's more on the level of Muscular Dystrophy and nerve damage.)
Other "interesting" info includes: I'm 30 years old right now, I'm off line about as much as I'm on because I, rather poorly, built my own computer which breaks down constantly, and my avater comes from a series of comics and stories that I'd played around at making in high school.

My name's Chris, I'm 22 and live in hot and humid Virginia Beach, VA. I found DP one day when looking for some kind of master list of every system/game out there. I own over 750 unique pieces of Video Gaming equipment. Current collecting goal is to have 1 of every system in the box with a few of its most popular games.
Recent addtions are a RCA Studio II, TI 99/4A.
Main focus right now is on Atari and NES.

I have no idea how many games I have, but the systems are:
Atari 2600
Odyessy 2
Coleco Telstar Pong
Vectrex
Intellivision (hence the avatar)
NES
N64
Sega Genisis w/cd w/ 32X
Sega Saturn
Playstation 1
Playstation 2
Xbox
gameboy color
and I keep thinking I'm missing something
But there ya go.

My name is Julie. I'm 30 yrs old and live in Ky. I'm currently a student and will (hopefully) be a clinical lab tech when I graduate. I was a long time lurker at the old board, and that probably won't change much here :D I've been playing games constantly since the days of the 2600, and I've been collecting for about 5 years now. I collect for anything I can find cheap. I have roughly 30 different systems now and a couple thousand games (maybe more, I'm too disorganized to count them). I'm in serious need of more space  I have a special fondness for the 5200 and any sega system. My main collecting goal right now is to collect all the U.S released DC games while they are still fairly cheap and easy to find.

Being as that I never did this in the first place, now would be a good time.
My name is Dave, I'm from the P. Lakes, NJ (home of DP). I collect NES mainly, and need, as of today, 4 to finish my US NES collection. I like games, girls, and living the high life, Hoooo ahh.
I'm 22, and currently sort of employed by Kraft/Nabisco, yay.

Hey all, your buddy Jag here.. My name is Chris and I am from the desert here in Arizona, where I live just outside Phoenix. You can call me Chris or Jag or JD or anything else that is somewhat more creative...
I have been playing games now well over 20 years, my first system was an Odyssey2. I also had several pong systems, a ColecoVision Adam computer, an 8 bit NES, a Genesis, and a SNES. Believe it or not, my dad kept all the systems and games, which my little brother is now using.
I have owned all the above and: a Dreamcast, PS1, Atari 26-52-7800, Atari 400 & 800, Intv, Colecovision, Fairchild Channel F, and my current Xbox. I dabble a bit with all systems, but consider the Odyssey2, Intellivision, and Xbox my systems of choice, with the Xbox being my only modern system.
I am married, happily, since 1994, to a woman who doesnt fully understand my gaming obsession(as she calls it), but who supports about all that I do.
I work on old electronics, cars, and gaming systems in my limited amount of free time. I raise sport horses (thoroughbred/warmblood crosses) and truly believe in natural horsemanship over hardhanding, it is the only way to have a real "relationship" with your horse.
Anyways thats it, who's next..

Hello my name is Todd and I'm an alco... err I mean game collector from Disneyland. Thats where I work and I am there quite often. Its not as great as you think.
I started collecting in 98 when My friend at work Jon Sieker told me about the hobby. He was the one that also introduced me to the DP guide. Since then just about every penny I have that didn't have to go to bills went to games. Same with every dollar in credit to my name (bad todd!).
I collect for just about every system but handhelds. I also collect a lot of complete DOS games. Currently though I am focused on getting the big box PSX games and other early rare psx games.
I also love Japanese women and Japanese cars.

Well, I suppose it is time I did this again. Here is some information about ME! I recently moved back to Kansas at the request of my roommate. (We are still roommates) I am back in the town and area I grew up. It is nice and pretty good for video game hunting.
I found this forum from the "old" forum. There was a link (Ha Ha) I actually found a link off of Atariage.com. I remember when I was growing up we had an Intellivision and a C64. I remember playing Pitfall! And generally enjoying both systems. When the Nes was new, I remember going to Children's Palace and buying the system, Ghost 'N Goblins and Castlevania. My brother and mother were with although my brother seemed uninterested. And for the record, my mother bought the system. I was also the first person in my neighborhood to have a SNES. I remember the kid across the street came over one day to look at it. I felt like a King.
Time went on and the Intellivision and C64 were gone. I had no control over it, yet I feel guilt for not putting up more of a fight to keep them. They were both giving away. I would like to think they have good homes now, but honestly I have no idea. I had the Nes, Snes and Genesis, so I managed to be happy.
I did not go to too many arcades and I feel remorse for it. I followed my older brother around and he was never inclined to go. I do recall Crystal Castles and Galaga. Galaga is one of my more favourite games. I still trudge down to the "arcade" to play it.
A few years ago, I felt the urge to play my Nintendo. It was something I had not done in a while. I found it not to be in working order. I searched the web and did a home repair. It works now, at least somewhat. However, looking around the web made me wonder why I had a brief absence from gaming. I elected to "get back" into gaming. I finally have an Atari 2600. I never had one growing up. The kids down the street did and so did my friend Patrick. Why didn't I ever have one? I don't really know.
As far as making a living, I don't I am a student. I am not sure when I will graduate or what I will major in. I am looking into a finding a job and going to school. Somebody needs to support this habit!
My name is Daniel, 27, from Texas. I found the forums thanks to another member's post in another forum. I started playing games with an Atari 800 computer. The first actual console I owned was an NES. Most of my attention is focused on the Turbografx-16, Dreamcast, and Neo Geo Pocket Color. I'm also still fond of Atari though my 800 has long since given up the ghost. I enjoy reading about and remembering the many home computers from the 80s before "home computer" meant a PC.

Hello All,
I am Ben Langberg, a graphic designer in Atlanta, GA. I am 28 and live with my Girlfriend and our two cats.
My first system was an Atari 2600, followed by a VIC-20, C64, and Amiga 500. I started collecting Atari in college and diccovered the 2600 Connection newsletter. I typed in a bunch of Atari manuals for Greg Chance's Videogame museum, many of which are now at AtariAge.
I collect 2600 mainly, then I get games that are fun to play for most of the NES and above systems. I'd love to have a complete NTSC Atari collection one day, but it seems that too many of us have the same goal... My Amiga 2000 still works, and after the Atari 2600 it's probably my second favorite "game machine".
So in summary, I collect for 2600, C64, NES, Amiga, Gameboy/Color, Genesis/CD/32x, Lynx, Turbo Grafx/Duo, SNES, 3DO, Jaguar/CD, Saturn, PSX, N64, and Dreamcast.
I run my le geek website (http://www.abscape.org/legeek/), which hopefully someday will be a good review archive for classic games. Some of my favorites include (in no particular order): Space Taxi, Times of Lore, Blue Max, Tempest 2000, Legend of Zelda, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy 2, Lemmings, Out of this World, Prince of Persia, Rocket Ranger, WizKid, Seaquest, Pitfall, Enduro, Gravattack, Pinball Dreams, Lotus Turbo Challenge, Airball, Fool's Errand, Mr. Do, Gyruss, Rampart, & Time Pilot.
Well that's probably enough from me!
Cheers,
le geek

Tell us any or all of the following:
- Who you are
- Where you live
- How you found the forums
- What your favorite games are
- What systems you collect for
- What you do in "real life"
- Any other interesting facts, like how you began collecting, etc.
Hiya all!
I'm Kidnemo, from the ole' midwest of the US. I'm a 24yr Multimedia Designer/web designer/programmer.
I found the forums from a link that was posted on another forum (www.the-nextlevel.com).
Favorite genres:
rpgs
shooters
fighting games
any thing thats quirky, or all sexy n' 2D :)
Lately I've been playing a ton of Warcraft III for pee-see, Tactics Ogre on GBA, Fire Pro Wrestling on GBA, Sky Gunner on Ps2, and dabbled a bit with the Arc the Lad Collection on psone.
I'm more of a gamer first, and a collector second, but I have a pretty huge selection of games. I'm not really the type that will pay a ton on ebay to "complete my collection", but if it's a game that I want to actually play, I'll shell out the big bucks.
I'm currently putting togther a game zine/online videogame publication site, so you may see me talking about that from time to time.
*phew, got a little longer than I expected! :)*

BTW, here is the story behind my Avatar: I got interested last year in possibly developing a GBA game and "Mullet Man" was one of the characters I had developed for it. If anyone is doing some GBA dev and could use help with artwork, let me know. I'd still love to get involved in that.

Hi, I'm Roger, AKA: Rogmeister...I'm one of those guys who's basically been into gaming since Pong though I did have a gap of about 5 years or so where I didn't play any games so I went from Atari 7800 to the Super Nintendo completely bypassing the whole NES period...of course, I would later get those retroactively.
I live in West Virginia...have my entire life...and I work in a steel mill. I found out about the Digital Press publication probably through a plug in one of the slick gaming mags back when they used to plug those kinds of independent efforts. That eventually led me to the DP website and I found out about this board there.
As far as games go, I like mostly platform and action/adventure games going from the original Pitfall games to today's Spider-Man games. I don't care too much for most sports games except baseball...I've probably owned 50 different baseball games at different times.
I don't collect as much as I used to...I did have a recent spurt of Dreamcast game purchasing but I see myself buying mainly for my GameCube now and only getting games for the older systems as I come across them which isn't too often these days. My systems include Atari 2600, 5200, Lynx & Jaguar (I no longer have my 7800), Sega Dreamcast, Saturn & Genesis, Playstation (just the first), TurboGrafx-16 (if you count having one game for a system HAVING a system), ColecoVision and most of the Nintendo systems except for Virtual Boy and Game Boy Advance.
My other hobbies include movies, photography, reading and being controlled by my two cats.

Hi, my name is Nathan and I am a video game collector.
Well maybe not, more like a video game player with a penchant for playing obscure titles. This naturally leads to amassing a rather large collection of older titles that I have just to say "yeah I've played that." I'm 24 and I live in Seattle, currently switching between working for a Large redmond based video game company's call center, and being a student at the University of Washington.
I have a tendency to buy games as I see them, so my collection is very varied, to say the least. I found DP when I was looking for a way to determine whether or not I was paying too much for a game, and have been here ever since.
I also had the pleasure of Meeting DP himself at E32k2, and look forward to meeting the rest of you at CGE2k2.
That is all for now.

I'll try to make this as painful as possible.
I like classic games, and grew up on mainly the NES, and Arcade, but I also experienced early years of Atari 2600, Intellivision, Colecovision, etc...
I play classic games occasionally, but have more collected than played, I am more into the Xbox at the moment, and can't wait to play with some of you guys on Xbox Live "heh."
Other than playing games, I work, and take care of my 7 year old son, and enjoy the beuatiful beaches on the Gulf O' Mexico "not really", but I occasionally go out there at night, and get drunk =)
Well, there are more mysteries to myself, but I will only reveal those when i'm really intoxicated, until then, get lost!
My name's Benjamin Turner, and I am a gamer. I was born in PA and grew up in Collegeville (near Philly), but dropped out of college there to take my current job in Irvine, CA. I guess I'm now a Californian, though I don't feel like one. I don't own any sunglasses, for one.
As gaming goes, I'm pretty damn hardcore about neo-classic stuff, and enjoy post-crash systems the most. That's not to say I don't appreciate Atari and whatnot, but I was raised on the NES, and still have a lot of gaps to fill in my more modern system libraries before I can shift focus to the original classics.
I'm a bit of a collector but for the most part only acquire games I'd like to play. I'm fastidious about game condition, and won't buy anything that's less than near-mint. I have somewhere over 500 console and PC games, though that number was higher a while back before I picked out the non-mints to sell off and re-acquire. That's nothing compared to some of your amazing collections, but I'm happy with it... particularly the quantity to quality ratio. :)
Traditional platformers, fighters and shooters are my primary interests, with the latter skewed toward horizontal games like Thunderforce III. Most of today's manic vertical shooters aren't as fun to me. Fave games include Thunderforce III, Axelay, Doom 1/2 (PC), System Shock, Bionic Commando (NES), Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting (AC), Castlevania: SotN, Super Metroid, Metroid, Kid Icarus, The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy IV, Gunstar Heroes and Contra III.
As you might infer from that list, I don't like the direction games have taken since the late 16-bit days. Many 3D games just don't do it for me like the classic 2D games did, so I'm pretty jaded and cynical about modern gaming. Devil May Cry? Not fun. Final Fantasy VII? Mediocre. Resident Evil? Badly-controlling crap. That's not to say I'm a complete gaming curmudgeon, but in general I no longer get excited about most new game releases. It's too bad. I miss the old fun. Thankfully, there are still a ton of older games that I've yet to acquire and play, and I still have fun with some modern releases... just not as many as I'd like. I *am* looking forward to Mario Sunshine, however.
During the day I work at GameSpy Industries, as the PS2 editor for GameSpy.com. We're going places -- keep an eye on us. :)
Anyway, I think I've bored you all enough. I'll just end by saying that I'm glad to be a part of this nice community. Between this and TNL (www.the-nextlevel.com/board/index.php), my gaming message board needs are more than covered.

Greetings, programs. I'm Earl Green, languishing in the economic backwater that is western Arkansas. I first dropped by here out of curiosity about eight or nine months ago, having already visited the DP site semi-frequently, and now this is just about the only part of the site I visit - go figure!
For me, pinning down one specific favorite game is like trying to nail smoke to the wall. In the arcades, I have to give the top honors to two incredibly obscure titles: the forgotten SNK/Rock-Ola classic Fantasy (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/fantasy.html) and the best (but also likely most obscure) of the Mr. Do! (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/mrdo.html) games, Do! Run Run (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/summer99/dorunrun.html). At home, my all-time favorite still remains the mighty Odyssey 2 (www.thelogbook.com/odyssey), for which I have a darn near complete collection (and I don't mind tell you I'm proud of that). I also collect for the Atari 2600 (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/atari26/), 5200 (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/atari52/), 7800 (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/atari78/), Intellivision (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/mattel/), ColecoVision (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/coleco/) and Apple II (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/apple/). I'm also getting a good head start on an NES collection as well. I have a Playstation, but got it primarily to play good ports of the classic arcade games (i.e. Namco Museum (www.thelogbook.com/winter99/namco1.html), etc.) and the updated remakes of them. Same goes for the Game Boy Color that goes with me everywhere. So I'm an old fogey.
In real life, I'm a TeeVee news promo writer (www.thelogbook.com/work/) in an exceedingly small market, working for an ABC station. The hours are frequently long (and they get even longer due to circumstances I can't control and with little notice), and there's a lot of downtime followed by huge rushes of activity - very much the "hurry up and wait" thing that a lot of people mention in regard to TV. I also maintain and write most of the material for theLogBook.com (www.thelogbook.com), my own little web site (well, okay, not so little), which covers everything from science fiction (www.thelogbook.com/log/) to video games (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/) to soundtracks (www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/disc/indexst.html) to vintage sci-fi-related toys (www.thelogbook.com/toy/) - everything a growing geek like me needs. I also do some outside web work (including at the TV station, for whose site I do non-national updates), run a small video business (home.ipa.net/~egreen/) whose main purpose is to convert PAL videotapes to NTSC and vice versa, and I also do a fair chunk of writing for All Game Guide (www.allgame.com) and This Is Not News (www.notnews.org). I've also written for Classic Gamer Magazine (www.classicgamer.com), where my challenge to an early issue's assertion that "the Odyssey 2 is there to give the Atari and Intellivision fans something to laugh at" led to me becoming the on-staff Odyssey Evangelist.
I'm married to a woman who spends a huge amount of money raising horses (www.timberlakefarms.com), and we have three cuddly kitties (www.thelogbook.com/catboyz.html) between us, two of which live in my own room of doom, guarding my collection while I'm gone at work.
Whew. I think that about covers it.

Hello,
My name is Kevin Shields and I have been playing video games since 1988 but I just started collecting this year. I love all video games from classic to modern. I am in the Air Force and I am stationed at Andrews AFB. I am a vehicle dispatcher and I have been in the Air Force for five and a half years. I am married to a wife that is cool with video games but she doesn't play them. I found this website when I was looking for classic games on the yahoo search engine. This website gets view by me about 3-5 times a day and it probably won't stop.
He's back. Name is Dave, runs track and plays mainly NES games, as well as other consoles. Been playing since I was introduced at age 3 at my cousins house.

I'm James aka DDCecil (DD - Doomsday Dream, Cecil - Hero of FF4), 29 (as of 8/25/09), and from Idaho Falls, ID. I love collecting and playing video games. My goal in life is to open my own used video games business, just like the one my father owned a few years back (I finally did it, though it only lasted for a year (5/5/06 through 4/30/07), but mission accomplished!).
When I'm not playing video games, I'm either eating, sleeping, on the internet, or working.
My favorite games include:
Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos
Final Fantasy I-VI
Gitaroo Man
iS: internal Section
Parodius Series
Super Mario Series
Time Gal
Prehistorik Man
and I also like Drakkhen and Hydlide.

I'm Karl, aka Captain Yashiro...it used to be a combination of the Japanese Navy Captain Rokuro Yashiro and the SNK character Yashiro Nanakase, but now it's a combination of Yashiro Nanakase and the DDR artist Captain Jack. Just look at my signature. ^_^
Anyway, I'm 17, from Rockford, Illinois, and I'm currently in the midst of DDR obsession. Found a bunch of cool locals to play it with, but I am not NEARLY as good as they are.
Other favorite games besides Dance Dance Revolution:
Capcom Vs. SNK 2
Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike
King of Fighters '97 & '98
SNATCHER
Mario's Picross
Super Metroid
Chrono Trigger
Lots of old Genesis shooting games

I'm William Cassidy -- please call me William or Bill, but not "Will," thanks.
Some of you may know me as the former director of ClassicGaming.com (http://www.classicgaming.com). I'm the guy who took over for Fragmaster and oversaw the big site redesign that happened in June 2001, including the launch of the forums. Unfortunately I had to leave that job, but it was great while it lasted. While at ClassicGaming, I was able to get to know a lot of the people who make this hobby really "happen," even help them out, and it was a fantastic experience.
You also may know me from the Odyssey2 Homepage! (http://www.classicgaming.com/o2home), which is probably the biggest and oldest O2-only site around (six years and counting...). I'm aiming to build an "AtariAge" for the O2, not only because I like they system, but because I'm really into the history of gaming -- I feel it's important, and often the obscure systems get overlooked in favor of the mighty 2600. (I don't mean to detract from the 2600 though -- it's also one of my favs).
I've also been a contributor to The 2600 Connection, Retrogaming Times, Allgame.com, Van Burnham's Supercade book, and the JerryG Guide to the Classic Video Games. I'm also a freelance writer for GameSpy.com (ClassicGaming's parent, where I worked with BenT222), and currently handle their Hall of Fame (http://www.gamespy.com/halloffame) segment in addition to the infrequent GBA review.
I have just about every system from PSX on down, with the notable exception of TG16 (I'm still looking for one at a good price). Basically I will collect anything game-related if the price is right. I'm originally from southern Ohio, which is a great place to find old stuff. Now I live in Southern CA and don't find nearly as much. But at least now I can be a Southern California Classic Collector (http://www.classicgaming.com/sc3)!
Full-time job-wise, I'm now an assistant webmaster for a company that specializes in high-end collectibles like coins, stamps, and sportscards. No video games though!

Hey everyone...
My name is Scott Bolderson, I'm 27 years old, single, and I live at home with my parents in beautiful Circleville, Ohio.
I work at COSI in Columbus, Ohio. It's a science center, think one part science classroom, one part amusement park, and one part anarchist state.
My collection started in earnest in 1992 when I finally convinced my parents that I could handle having more than one system at a time. I have been playing / collecting games since my first 2600 in 1980, and my first TI994A just a couple of years later.
My collection now consists of about 25 systems, and over 1,000 games. My favorite system is probably the Sega Genesis (today at least). My favorite game (that I own today) is Parsec for the TI994A computer.
Thanks for reading.

My name is Dustin Cooper, I'm 16, and I live in western MA.
I had an NES since I was little, and my parents picked up an Atari 2600 at a tag sale. After spending about 10 minutes of laughing at the graphics, I realized that the games weren't half bad. That started my obsession with game collecting. I'm not as into classic era games as I used to be (I still love them though). I collect for everything, but lately I've been playing 16-bit-era stuff and Saturn.
Favorite Games:
Shining Force Series (best games ever!)
M.U.S.H.A.
SNK fighters
Capcom Fighters (not as good as SNK fighters)
Virtual On series
Galaga
Galaga '88/'90
Robotron 2084

Kunio series
Crono Trigger
Mario RPG
Mega Man X
Crystalis
Super Baseball 2020

Actually, Mythicon is kind of the spiritual ancestor of Tape Mountain (my record label) and I like Sorcerer a lot, though mostly for the music.
I'm into 4-track recording, old technology (currently into mimeographing), the way the air smells at night, independent comics and zines, Circus Atari, Odyssey^2 Basketball!, lots of other things.

My name is Adrienne, I'm 20 and go to school/live in Detroit. I'm a junior in Photography at CCS. I love videogames, especially the Dreamcast, and I have a soft spot for Ulala.
I took a semester to study in New York so that's where I'll be until the end of may 2003. I quite my 3 year term of Funcoland and came out here. I've got an internship with Polaroid 20x24 studio, so I'll be working with any big name artist that comes in there. Plus I get to make some 20x24 Polaroid shots for myself.
My bf honestly doesn't mean my videogame collection any harm, it just seems that way sometimes, but he starts out with good intentions.

OK, I'm Rob from Indianapolis. 27. Gamer since the Odyssey 1 (which I know is 2 years older than me, hey, I was retrogaming long before it was cool!) Mostly into pre-crash stuff. Why? When your gaming time comes in five minute chunks, you don't have the time to watch 10 minutes of cut scenes. Plus, having been around for the "golden age" of the arcades, that's stilll the main style of gaming that appeals to me.
I'm a student, I'd rather not talk about that.
Gaming is actually my number two hobby. The other one is record collecting. I am reluctant to call myself a collector, more like a scavanger. Interests there are jazz, funk, reggae, and "incredibily strange music". What? Check out my site http://www.cs.iupui.edu/~rguernse I hasn't been updated in a looong time, but that should get you started.
I doubt anyone is reading back this far in the post, but if you are, hello. :P

I am John Scribble, aka pontifex maximus of the church of burgertime. I love the game and have an Incomplete History I maintain at our site. I live in foggy San Francisco and spend my days doing Web QA, hanging out with my girlfriend and my dog, and writing subversive things for our site and for other projects I'm involved with.
Glad to be here. Nice to meet y'all.

Hi, my name's Dale. I've been posting at the Roundtable for almost 2 years (started out as an unregistered user) but I'm just re-introducing myself for the new boards.
My first game console was a NES, which I got when I was 8 years old. After that I received games mostly as presents and sometimes I'd buy them myself. I guess I really got into collecing when I was about 11 or 12 because I found that NES games were disappearing from store shelves so I madly bought all that I could. I then got another system, then another, and another and so on and I'm still collecting today and have hundreds of games and about 15+ or so consoles (haven't counted for a while).
I started up a website almost 2 years ago because of my interest in games. The website is called Console Database (thus my username) and the address is: www.consoledatabase.com. I also have a messageboard at http://pub65.ezboard.com/bgameandconsoledatabasemessageboard
I visit this forum from time to time when I get the chance. Talk to ya soon!

Hiho!
My name is Marc Oberhäuser (or in short form MaO, don't mix it up with MarcoK, who is always one step ahead of me:). I am from Germany and for a living I am a freelancer in the computer game business (Game- and Leveldesign, Consultant, Producer with a track record of more than 20 released games). My age is 34 and I am an active collector of videogames scince 1991.
My fav console is the 2600 (1533 games, 952 boxed, highlights are Combat II, RealSports Basketball and Snow White). I also collect 5200, 7800, Lynx and INTV.
I also love the Atari 8Bit, C64 and the ST line. My fav classic games are Adventure, Yars' Revenge, Riddle of the Sphinx, M.U.L.E., 7 Cities of Gold, Air Support, Bruce Lee...
On the modern side of gaming I am addicted to Everquest and love Heroes of MM 2+3. I also have a Gamecube which is a pretty good system.
See you in Vegas,
Marc

I'm Nate, and I live in Ingersoll, Ontario...just north of London. I found these forums thanks to good ol Jaydub who hooks me up when I'm too dense to notice things ;)
I collect for a lot of systems, including the SMS, Genesis, Sega CD, Saturn, DC, Game Gear, Game Boy, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, N64, GC, 3D0, TG16/PC Engine, NGPC, PC, Lynx, Jaguar, PSX, PS2, 32X, and anything else that comes along that I like. I mostly collect RPGs and shooters, and some of my favorite games are:
Thunderforce 1-5, Suikoden I and II, System Shock I and II, Deus Ex, Star Control 2, Soldier Blade, Image Fight 2, Military Madness, Mega Man 1-6, Ogre Battle, Landstalker, anything by Treasure, anything by Working Designs, Dynasty Warriors 2 and 3, Silent Hill 1 and 2, and many more.
In real life I dig graves. Really. I also run a website that sells large stacks of PC Engine, Saturn, and SFC imports amongst other things. For a shameless plug, check the URL: http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/maxlords/ but do it in IE, as it doesn't work with Netscape. I also work (gratis) for www.turbografx-16.com although it's a startup and is just getting going.
I collect games (over 500 at last count), SF and Fantasy books, DVDs, fish, and tabletop strategy games, and really get into anime.
I started gaming strangely enough, by selling my games. I sold them back in the heyday of the SNES (my first system after the C64) and then a month later, REALLY wanted to play them again. So I bought them again and made a vow never to sell a game that I liked ever again, unless it was a duplicate. I've kept to it, and as my wife will agree, my collection is breeding at an alarming rate. :) I guess that's about it!
I don't know what to say~
Im Robin, Im an Artist, I make models for video games and do some

My name is Bruce, I'm 27 years old, and I live in good ol' Northern NJ, USA. I'm a PC technician, but for some reason I spend most of my time as manager of a Rite-Aid Pharmacy...bah! I'm absolutely nuts about videogames...all of them! Any game I can get my hands on and play basically. I am the moderator of the emulation forum right here at DP...a spendid way of playing all of your favorites right on your PC, most of the time looking, sounding and playing just the way you remember them. That's about all I guess!

:D Hello Im Revolt storming from the world capital..New york city. I have a BA in Fine arts.Been playing video games for a good while now.
My first system was a pong machine..i forgot the brand, but i still have it. My second was an Intellivision that i still have with 2 games. I have donkey kong and venture. The next system was the nes, then the snes, ps1, n64, and finally the ps2.
I started back playing video games in 1992 when i was at a party and i was watching one of friends sons play Streetfighter2 on the snes. I was like, "Damn, thats a cool game". So I went out and got myself a snes and Streetfighter2 game. :D I think i played that game to death...i still play it :P I guess thats why im mostly into fighting games. I love to play any tekken game, Streetfighter, or virtua fighter4. i also like Air combat games. And i cant forget the whole Saturday i spent playing Doom on the snes
Ohyeah, I stumbled upon this site from a search engine. I was looking for information about Emulators, didnt know what they were

Nespit
07-21-2002, 05:09 PM
Hi there,
I am new here so most ppl don't know me yet..:-)
I am Niels Pit, a 25 years old dutch nintendo collector totally addicted to the obscure nintendo (console/games) stuff. My website is www.nespit.com. I only have things on my site that were in, or are, still in my collection.
My main focus at the moment r the demo cartridges for the Nintendo various consoles. As it is not known what games where ever made in a demo form, it is always nice to find out about a new title.
Next to that I love the prototypes and Test cartridges for all Nintendo consoles consoles!
I started about 5 years back with collecting Nes. But after gettin the most of the rarest stuff, (NWC, Prototypes, test cartridges, some rare cartridges) i lost the collecting spirit for it.Not only because of that but also of the following: it is not difficult to complete the collection, it will only cost money. The prizes have increased a lot over the last 5 years. A panesian gets more money today then a proto. (!!!!) So I decided to get some Snes stuff as well. I only focussed on snes -prototypes, -test cartridges, -demo's, and -competition cartridges(starfox&Donkey). Soon after decided to collect all Nintendo stuff. Handhelds, rare gameboy stuff, and N64 as well. The nicest thing about N64 these days r that there rn't a lot of collectors at the moment.
Well dunno what to tell more, u can always mail me if u have questions, or rare nintendo stuff that u wanna trade/sell ( i prefer the last..), or just wanna have a chat about stuff. nielsp@worldonline.nl
As I am very busy with work and my "offline" life, my site doesn't get updated much and looks a bit neglected..:-)
Grtz,
Niels

My name is Sara, I'm 22, I live in London and I'm a buyer. I don't collect anything (except handbags and shoes) and I don't really play many games. In fact, I don't really fit in here at all!
I met Joe on PSO.
I graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Commerce and European Law. I live in a nice flat in a nice area and I quite like my car.
I'm pretty sure that my original "introduce yourself" post was both funnier and more enlightening ...

EDITED by admin:
Our rather modest moderator has left out a few things that I think are quite important!
1. She's the owner/moderator of our "Happy Hours Pub". Feel free to visit, but don't forget to leave your conscience at the door:
http://www.nullunit.com/dpforum/viewforum.php?f=14
2. She's got a musical gift that I can't imagine why she doesn't mention. We have a dozen or so of her creations on the DP website:
http://www.digitpress.com/mp3.htm
(note that these were created using MTV Music Generator 2 and extreme acoustic sensibilities. I have her CD in my car stereo)
3. She may not be a collector, but she's certainly a gamer. We met playing Phantasy Star Online in 2000 and she was a great player. Now she plays a bunch of FPS titles online, recently/notably Unreal Tournament, on a rather high-end PC. Not a gamer!? HA!
4. Our firstborn has already been named. "BradBrad". The duplication is simply to emphasize the commitment to a name that might not otherwise be acceptable here in the US (with apologies to anyone named "Brad" that might be reading this).
And if this doesn't get re-edited, I'll be shocked.
:P

Youguessed it: My name is Marco. I turned 32 on July 20th, and I live in Holland, just about the coolest place on this planet
I collect Atari 2600. I used to collect for all the older systems, but one day I decided to specialize. I started to sell everything else, and never looked back. Now I have some 1,500 games, of which a thousand are boxed. I own many cool prototypes too, like Tempest, Stunt Cylce and Ewok Adventure.
I think I may quit collecting when I've gathered 2600 boxed Atari 2600 games. My estimate is that will be in 2036. Then, I will have time again to start playing my favorite games again: Yar's Revenge, Warlords and Circus Atari, along with my arcade favorites Mr.Do!, Lady Bug and Pengo.
Oh, and if you think NES is a classic - think again! :P
Cheers,
Marco

My name is Chris, I live in michigan, I am 23 years old. I work for the largest printing company in the world Quebecor World Printing. I been playing games for as long as i remember. My first sytem was an Atari 2600 that i still have, Then just have worked my way up from there. I pick up stuff for all sorts of systems and still play my old computer games from the old text rpg's where you had to use graph paper for maps to leisure suit larry. I played lots of games when i was a kid but only collected sports cards back then. Now i collect mostly for the nes which is my personal fav. I have been doing that addictively for about a couple of years now. I am not only into the older games, I play new stuff also and enjoy them both equally as much. I have a lil site just for my nes collection. itsmysite.com/nesgames/ .
Thanks,
Chris

And I would be Jorpho. I'm presently south of the border, but I'll be moving back to Canada soon.
Message boards generally frighten me deeply, but for some reason I spend an awful lot of time reading about classic games, and so I attempt to contribute while desperately attempting not to scar myself emotionally. Please don't hurt me.
Over the years, I've accumulated too many PC games, both legitimiate and less so, and since it will take me years to get through them all, I do not generally seek new games. However, there are still a few N64 games I'd like to take a crack at, and perhaps I'll manage to get there some day if I make the right trade.
Science is my life. Chemistry is good, but it lacks a certain mystique posessed by physics - possibly the math...
