I've seen just the TG16 & CD go for around $200, and I can tell you Neutopia is around $25 and II is around $50 (cib), so I'd say it was a decent deal, particularly for the person that isn't looking to flip it, but to play it.

So I saw this ridiculous auction over at Famicomworld.com (in their topic about ridiculous auctions) for a Star Fox 2 repro cart that some idiot wanted thousands of dollars for. I thought, that's pretty stupid, the most you'd have to pay for a repro is a little over $100. Then I saw this! (http://cgi.ebay.com/SNES-Super-Nintendo-Starfox-2-Cartridge-VGC-Rare_W0QQitemZ170359617282QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo _Games_Games?hash=item27aa397702&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294 %3A50) I really can't believe people are this stupid.

Works like brand new. Contains both disc and pads. Has a few scratches but works great. Compatible with play station 2. And possibly Wii I am not sure if Wii works with PS2 but it could be because it works with gamecube. Paid $100 for it brand new. This is a very reasonable price I'm sure. You can't get this kind of deal elsewhere. Snap it up before somebody else does because you are definitely at an advantage here.

A lot of the times I post something on here its a bad deal or something is wrong...Here is a trade that I took part in :
Will trade a Wii for ......... - $1 (Portland/Vancouver-Longview)
Will Trade a Wii for an old original Nintendo (with mario brothers series), a guitar pedal, and/or picture printer.. Call me for any type of trade options, I am up for swappin'. Wii is brand new, hardly used.
I told them, I have new 72 Pin connectors ordered, and now just waiting for the mail to come. The original Nintendo came with Mario 123, Punchout, and a few other games. I told them I would fix there system and clean all the games free of charge. I also kicked down a Boss SD-1 Distortion pedal. The Wii was complete in box. Sometimes there are deals to be had on craigslist.
Quick other story not craigslist but reminded me of this topic. I was at a garage sale, they had a black and white tv for sale. The price wasn't on there so I asked. Since it was an antique $10. It still had the rabbit ears on it. I was like nope sorry, ok would you take $5, I am told them no sorry again, not interested. The guy was like I will sell it to you for $3 if its here tomorrow. . . . Fail really Its a 70s black and white tv.

You opened it, so you believe in it too. Something good will happen to you between 12:00 pm and 9:00 pm tomorrow. No catch. It could happen anywhere or anytime; you will fix your relationship problems for the next 2 years, maybe it was someone you once loved (or still do) and can't get them out of your mind, or money, or something you lost, or just someone that's given you a helping hand. To spread the positive karma, re-post this in another city in the next 10 minutes. You will get the shock of your life tomorrow. I believe. I hope you do too. What do you have to lose?

This is how I got my 360, almost. I had a Dreamcast & games listed on CL, was contacted by a woman who said her son (adult son) had moved out and she'd bought a 360 for them to play together once in awhile, but he wasn't interested. She had played the Dreamcast w/ him before and really liked the games, so she wanted to get one again. I was asking $100 for the lot, she said she'd buy it or trade me the 360. I took the 360. :D

I also have a color game boy. It's also missing the back part to cover the batteries, few scatches. I've provided pics of both, i had to get the pics online, my camera isn't working right now. but the yellow one is purple that i have. I'm asking for $60 but feel free to make me an offer:]

What a great deal! Two Game Boys in crap condition. Because they're old though they must be worth a lot.

Im sure this has been mentioned a million times but I hate when a buyer or whatever asks a question like "are you still selling?" you say yes and you hear nothing back, it's like they didn't really want it and hoped you didn't have it.

thats why you put in the ad that if its up you still have it and will delete it when sold. Of course, flakes!! they're out there.

I did an Atari search on Kijiji and discovered a month and a half old ad for a loose Atari 7800. Just the base unit, power supply and one proline joystick. Thats it. I emailed asking if it was still available. Why yes it was. Why was it still available? I'll give you 250 reasons why.

And, as has been discussed before, those generic "do you still have it" type inquiries are usually bots. Once you reply, your email has been gathered for spamming or other nefarious purposes. I had posted earlier that I insist on phone numbers in replies, but some folk objected to this. I recently saw an ad that said "Include the word JOY in the title of your response to discourage bots". I like this password approach and will likely adopt it for future CL sales.

I ask ususally, do you still have it? For some reason in Portland ads, people don't take there ads down after it sells. Ads with numbers I call even I know it should be gone like a great deal and I know there is no way after a day it should still be up. Though I call and ask, the people tell me its been sold after the first five minutes. I always ask why is the ad still up then, :argue: and they hang up with me.
In email form usually I answer something like this:
Do you still have it? If you do I would like to buy it. My cell number is xxx-xxx-xxxx. Thank you for your time and have a good day.
Most the time I get a response back saying if its been sold or I am first on the list.

I get that here too. I picked up a few things within the last week, and I figured that the ad should at least be updated so you wouldn't get inundated with calls asking if they still have specific items that you no longer have.
But both of these people have their old ads up, with the items that I've bought still listed.

We just sold our washer and dryer yesterday because we're moving. Someone called the same day and came and got it. What I did was I disabled the email link, put my phone number and told people to call. If I had left the email there I'm sure I would have had to dealt with some bullshitters.

Someone should arrest the people who keep trying to sell roms on disc. Its just plain ridiculous.
What about the idiots buying the discs, when everything is available for free online.

I agree they should be arrested, but it takes time to download that many roms. No I'm not someone who has bought the disc, or has any interest in ever buying it, but if you're looking to get a huge rom collection, taking the time to buy that disc is certainly easier than finding and downloading all the roms you could possibly want.

My name is and I am a serious video game collector. I specialize in older and classic home video game consoles and games. Over the past 15 years, I have amassed a personal video game collection with the intent to one day either have this stuff for public display or open a video game museum. I am looking to buy video games and systems that I don't have, or to upgrade the condition of the ones that I already own. I buy with the sole purpose of adding games that I dont have to my own video game collection and am going for the biggest personal game collection. I also can give honest appraisal of games and systems if needed. I will buy a lot of games if it has even just one I need for my personal collection. If not, I can at least give you and HONEST appraisal of what you have. The below list is just an expample of the games and systems I collect. About stealing ads: I had a wanted ad up that listed a ton of games I was looking to trade for or buy for the right price. Some of them were pricey/rare titles, but thre were also a couple handfuls of stuff I was just interested in getting and sick of not seeing for sale in bundles (like Dungeon Magic for the NES). Someone actually ripped off my ad, complete w/ the cheapo titles and all! Craziness.

Reply to: sale-tkvwk-1299685384@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
The system works well but the DVD player will begin to skip if you watch too many movies in a row. It can also take some time to warm up if fully turned off (you can leave it in standby).
It's a really nice system. 6-disc changer, 5 speakers, subwoofer and remote. I just can't bring myself to recycle it if someone would actually use it. I think it could be great for someone who doesn't watch a lot of movies - especially since it makes a really good surround sound system.
It is available on a first come basis.

So I mentioned about the stolen ad the other day, though I didn't mention that I send a dumb email off. I stated I have a Atari system with a joystick, sum paddles for tennis pong, I also had Spaced Aliens, tank type game and others. I played like I didn't know any better about games and left my number. I really wanted to see how it would go.
Today I get an email stating if I could deliver it. Which I could, I got a meeting place near one of the parks in town. I get to the park and call from a park table.
Here is what I get from the phone call: "Hey I am here, where are you? She says do you see my son? " At the moment when I was there I see 10 people at the park and at least 5 guys. "Umm I don't know what he looks like so I don't know. He's the one that is wearing orange pants, she says." The kid about 16 or so walks over where I am at. Now I am not trying to be judgmental to someone that copies an ad, now she doesn't want to meet in person though stating over the phone earlier in the day she wanted to inspect everything. The kid walks over, pulls a $5 bill and says " Here's your money." Now he looked like he was mentally challenged, nothing wrong with people like that though if your a buyer and sending your son down to do that, there is something wrong with you. I told the kid politely no. He pushed on asking me again $5. I said no again, started to walk to my car. I called the lady "Hello, I am not taking $5 for an Atari, I know you can sell these for at least $80 or so on ebay." She asked, "how much would I sell it for?" " I would sell it for $40 because it comes with some games that you don't see any where else. She said "Would you take a check?" I said "No, how do I know the check won't be bounced, I do cash only." She told me she would call me back tomorrow.
I don't mind messing with people though that just bugged me the most:
A. Not showing up yourself and sending someone else down.
B. Sending someone that could of taken the persons money and left.
C. Offering to send a check down to get the Atari.
D. Being lazy and copying peoples ads.
Sorry for the rant. I had to do a craigslist rant. Oh I have a garage sale rant, too. :)
So I was at a local garage sale. When I see a high price on something, I try not to say anything. Not my place and I just want to be on my way. I see a Atari 2600 Sears Tele Games 6 switch in the plastic case. The price was $125. I was curious to see what games because if it had Air Raid or another rare game. Game Set Match, you know what I mean. Well it had common games in it so I was putting it away. I was about to walk away, the old man walks up to me. You know this is a collector's item, how much would you offer. Without missing a beat $20. He's telling me how this sells for at least $125 on ebay. I broke his heart telling him that well I know, I have 8 on the shelf at the moment and I sell them with at least 40 games testing and working before I sell mine off. He told me well this you'll never see again and it will sit on the shelf to collect dust. Now with the ebay lecture and the attitude he had, my last line to him well at least it's giving you healthy air to breathe. Now I feel better for sharing.

Very entertaining read Coreys429. Some people out there just make you shudder in fear of ever leaving the house again.
I had one of the yard sale/ebay conversations with a guy a few years ago: (paraphrasing)
Me: How much for the Atari (junior and about a dozen common games)
Him: $100, (and without missing a beat) Thats how much it sells for on ebay.
Me: (without missing a beat) No it doesn't (I was in a foul mood that morning)
Him: (Blank stare)
Me: I've been collecting for years and this lot isn't worth near that. Even if it was, lets say it was worth that - you want the prices of ebay and the convenience of selling locally so you don't have to pay for all those ebay fees, taking pictures, listing the item, collecting your money, spending time on packaging and shipping and driving to the post office?
Him: (blank stare - now angrier) Its my stuff and I'll sell it for however much I want!
Me: No, you'll price it for however much you want but you certainly won't sell it. (walks away, hearing cursing from behind him as he goes)
My wife wasn't too happy because there were some kids clothes she wanted but my tirade forced us to leave. :D

I don't really shudder to go out again. Most people on Craigslist, that I have met are good people. In the case I described, wow really? The other little rant on craigslist I have lately when I post something no one wants to drive anywhere. Now I live about 50miles out from Portland and 120 miles out from Seattle. If I want something I will drive either way to go get it. When I post something over $50 in the Portland Craigslist, I get calls uhhh could you drive it to me, I don't want to drive that far. My response fill my tank...$20 or so and I will drive it to you. They are usually thinking only thing I have is a $5.
