While not an on-line experience, I saw a booth at a flea market that had tons of used systems and other electronics for sale. They had stacks of used PS3s for sale of all varieties. They also had used PS2s for $100. A little bit much when you can get them at Gamestop for $70. They also had Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSP new for $30. I picked it up the next day at Target for $10 and had my choice of original release or Greatest Hits.

I modded mine and outfitted it with NES/SNES/N64/Sega Genesis games and they all play pretty well even with the monster controller. The extra buttons serve extra functions in the emulator (fast-forward/rewind, save/load state, adjusting scan lines, macros, etc.). I think Genesis is the only truly weird one for me since the buttons are laid out like SNES. Even N64 games work surprisingly well on it.

i dunno. it does have the special release day seal. There probably aren't a whole lot of those left still sealed. You definitely can't go get that. Sure, there are lots of copies of Halo 2 out there, but I think that makes it a little bit more desireable. Not saying I'd drop $200 on it, but it isn't completely average.

When I got my regular edition of Halo 2(I got the special edition on launch day) I got it factory sealed from Blockbusters for $19.99 about a year or so ago. It's still factory sealed and guess what? It has the worthless orange sticker on it.

Also, if you want to find a factory sealed copy of Halo 2 with that sticker go to FYE. They also had them earlier this year for way less than $200. Hell, they even had the special edition still factory sealed with that orange release day sticker for $29.99.

I was working out a deal on Kijiji for a couple of Atari units and about 30+ common games. She wanted something around $139 but the funny thing was she itemized everything. For example, frostbite $10, donkey kong $6, Pole Positn* (because it was the rarer misspelled version) $15, etc.

I got suspicious and asked her how she came up with those prices. She freely admitted that she searched ebay for each title and thats how she got the prices. Not completed auctions, no, just what someone was using as a starting bid. In most cases, these auctions had no bids, with good reason.

Anyway, long story short, I let a week go by and contacted her, asking if she had sold it and if not, my final offer was $50. Of course, she had not sold it for that price and I got the lot for $50. The best thing was the robin hood/sir lancelot which she had listed as $12, which I would have bought seperately if she was stuck on her $139 price tag.

What I really hate with some people on Craigslist is when the title of the listing says something is only $1, but when you bring it up, you're hit with a much higher price.

http://www.atarihq.com/museum/nonatari/ultravision.php

Its a computer by the company "Ultravision" who created 2600 games like condor attack. Its a tv, computer and video game system all in one and was touted as a complete family entertainment system. They accepted Ultravisions own carts (of which there aren't many) and a couple of add ons allow for both 2600 and CV games to be played on the unit. I'm not sure of their worth but I would think its easy to say that they'd be fairly rare.

That would be neat if someone can verify this.

But the thing is, I have never seen a game made for it in the wild. And even though it should be taken with a grain of salt, Wikipedia says it was never released and no games were ever made for it.

I mentioned the local $800 Sega Genesis package in an earlier post, and it looks like the guy is sticking to his Menacers (so to speak) on that price point. Most recent posting is Nov. 14:

http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/tag/919726254.html

You can tell by the CAPS that this guy is SERIOUS! So don't waste his TIME!! BUY MY DODGAMMED SEGA GENESIS FOR $800 BIG ONES!! AND BE LOCAL!!!

I feel kind of sorry for this guy. His last iteration of the ad was asking for a very specific (i.e. - He even had the ratios listed) set of axles for a 1998 Jeep Cherokee in straight exchange for his Genesis collection. Clearly the guy needs the axles, and his Genny is the only thing he has of any value with which he is either able or willing to part. Ergo, he's either hard up for money, or stubborn to a fault, or possibly both. Meanwhile he drives his nine-year-old Jeep around on rickety axles which could cave in at any time. Or not, if the damage has already rendered the vehicle useless.

Part of me wants to "save" the guy, ask him to consider a more realistic price (imo, $200 tops), but I have a feeling he wouldn't listen. So all I can do is watch him flail, as I have for the past two months, while his Cherokee is up on blocks in the driveway, and he figures out why nobody wants to pay the price of a new Wii and PS3 combined for his 15-year-old game collection.

You name it, i can get it. Remember all those old school games the sleepless nights playing snes games drinking pop and eating chips all night long? Well you can live that time of your life again! You pick the games, you pick the system. Ill get you an em with all the roms on cd for you to own the rest of your life. Whats an emulator and rom you ask? Simple, an emulator emulates whatever game system you want, the rom is just another name for a video copy of the game an electronic image stored on your comp. Owned the game before? No problem, its legal to own the rom for a game you have already purchased. You already own the rights!!! I can get hundreds of games for most systems and for pretty cheap too. $5.00 bux a game $20 bux for the emulator all on cd.

I would reccommend buying a controler windows has a controler right in control panel, $20 from wal-mart. But you can also play with your computer keyboard. Ill also include free tech support for your emulator, games, and pc. Contact for more info.

Even better put in a Nintendo Wii or X-Box....Box and wrap it up for Christmas. My dad did that to me one year when he finally decided to get a new record player. Mind you I was ecstatic to receive it.
