Maybe in 2000... But not now. You can get a GBA for less then that now. Easy.

Here's one I found; a NES with games for $125. Granted, if that copy of Super Mario Bros. 2 is really complete in box like they show and it does come with Dragon Warrior II, it might almost be worth it...but then again, they use a picture of an original PlayStation instead of the actual system for sale, which gives me my doubts.

2 original Nintendon systems w/ games and accessories - $175 (Plantation/Sunrise)

2 Original Nintendo Systems

w/games and lots of accessories!!

great condition, both systems have brand new 72 pin connectors in them. Work great.
Nintendon... that's a new one. There's 18 games, none of which are listed. There's also 4 rectangle controllers, a gray zapper, and an Advantage in there. The games are all impossible to make out other than these 3:
-Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt/Track Meet
-One of the Castlevania games
-Jack Nicklaus Golf (or is that the Bandai one?)

He also took two of the same picture, except one at a 90 degree angle. Why?

Well this one is fun: http://puertorico.en.craigslist.org/vgm/1436576192.html

"Reason to sell: I have a hacked PSP and I don't use the originals anymore"

So piracy is only acceptable if you have the game, copy them to your memory stick, and then sell the games, keeping the copy on the memory stick. Nice logic. -_-

Here is another one: http://puertorico.en.craigslist.org/vgm/1414661530.html

This guy is selling is offering to teach how to play PS3 games and become an expert! Wha...? O_o

And finally: http://puertorico.en.craigslist.org/vgm/1424880215.html

"Games for Hacked Xbox 360

$10 for any Xbox 360 game.

Contact me by email if interested

Ugh... painted with what?!? I don't think I want to know.

It looks more like somebody spilled a can of paint on it, then clumsily tried to wipe the paint off. Either that, or a 5-year-old got into a can of paint and decided to be "creative" on his brother's genny. Better yet, there's even paint on the cartridge.

I'm not sure the problem is even lack of research. If you really think T&C Surf Design is worth $35, amongst all the other crazy prices on there, you have a serious mental problem, one which researching isn't likely to cure. $65 for Star Tropics??? Dear Lord.

I really hate the ads that say, "Good condition, only played X amount of times!" I don't give a crap how much you've played it, I care how well it's been handled!

If you play CD-based game once, then left it data side up for two years, forget it. If it's been in and out of your system hundreds of times, but you've handled it like fragile china, count me in.

This guy is a total idiot! He says "go to this site and see how rare this game is" but when you go to that site, it clearly says Stadium Events is worth $1500 loose, and the only way it's even close to being worth $5000 is if it's new in box! WTF? Did he think no one would check, or that people were too stupid to know that CIB and NIB and L means?

Seriously dude, if you don't want to pay eBay prices, then why would I want to get less than eBay prices in return? I am so, so tempted to take a pic of a stack of games and throw my CIB Stadium Events into the stack and just ask 'how much'?

If this is someone on here, you need to get fucked immediately. At least be a little humble in the fact that you're trying to score a deal. I can respect that, but don't say you're not an idiot when you expect other people to be idiots themselves.

ZOMG DO THIS. I have all ways wondered what people like this would offer for some uber rare game and how they would talk it down. Send the Pic. of it in a stack of other sports games and make hint that someone told you it was a bit rarer than the others. We can take bets on what he will offer.

While I'm sure this person is nothing more than an Ebay reseller, I can sympathize with what he's saying. People on CL will check Ebay, find the highest BIN on there, and then say that's how much they want for it. Not only that, but most don't seem to realize it's not FREE to sell on Ebay, so if you DID sell your item on Ebay, you wouldn't make that much on it b/c of the fees. There's also the added cost of being scammed, which has happened to me a few times back when I sold on there, and does happen w/ some frequency (the more you sell, the more likely it is).

The fact is, CL is NOT Ebay, and people who think they're going to sell stuff at Ebay prices are the ones that get laughed at on here and have their junk sit around forever with no takers.

Sympathize? The guy is essentially bitching that he's not getting prices he can profit off of. Boo fucking hoo. God forbid people don't want to sell themselves short and be slightly educated about the items they want to get rid off. He can continue to suck eggs.

I blame it on Gamestop, where you can buy a "new" game that is opened and, probably, played by the idiot selling it to you.

Where the fuck did that come from?

Sorry, I really am not trying to start an internet fight. Honest. Just seems like there's always two arguments going on in here: 1) how dare you pay less than full market value from a swap meet/yard sale/dying kid in a hospital/whatever; and 2) damn, FF7 costs way too much, they made a bajillion copies of it!

The fact that you recently got into browsing Craigslist tells me you are unfamiliar with how the site used to be. CL is and always has been a yard sale. Do you drive around on the weekends going to yard sales just to pay Ebay prices? Why when you can sit on your ass in the comfort of your home and order anything you like off of Ebay? Due to recent (in the last year and a half or so) changes on Ebay, many sellers have given up on that dump of a site and started ruining CL by trying to get high Ebay prices. It's like collecting cards: if everyone sells at high Beckett prices, why shop around? Look, there's the price right there in the book! Be satisfied to pay that amount! Or you know you can try to find a deal.

The fact that you are browsing CL, and that you wonder how or why the rest of us do, tells me that you too are looking for a deal. Or you wouldn't bother. That's all this other guy is doing.

I didn't want to argue over it, tho, b/c he's obviously a reseller, and I have no sympathy for someone who isn't going to do the damn legwork themselves. I'm a reseller and neither myself nor my pregnant wife feel any shame over it, but I bust my ass doing this. I don't sit around and boss people thru ads to give me their games cheap. I scour CL, ride the bus all over the place, and hope the person doesn't just stand me up when I get there. It's a full time job on top of the full time job I already do. My only point is that you should NEVER pay Ebay prices on CL, and I don't begrudge anyone for stating that simple fact.

The guy's post didn't sit well with me because he basically came off like fuck you, I want a deal instead of just fishing for a deal.

You really have to be patient with the classifieds, usually I only find something every few months or so. Other times I find a few things days or even hours apart, then months of nothing. The thing is, I'll keep checking as when something good turns up it's really good, either actually rare or cheaper than the thrift stores and in much better shape. I haven't sold that much lately, but in the past I have responded to ads asking to buy old games and it worked out pretty well a few times. Some of those are posted by collectors looking for games to keep and they're willing to pay a fair amount for them(not crazy amount but around the going rate). I can understand the "no ebay pricing" being asked as some sellers list common stuff for well above the usual going rate and that's what they ask for when replying to a want ad.

As for pricing things on the classifieds for the going ebay rate, it can be done but usually only if what you're selling is so rare that it hardly shows up on ebay ever. If someone wants it and they're local they'll buy it as they won't have to deal with shipping.

Yeah, those are common replies. When I bought some Genesis games I even asked if everything was still working and was told yes, only the battery save in Sonic 3 was dead when I got home. What's bad is people who don't bother to check what they have because they're lazy. Like they have a list of around 10 games and when I ask if they have the instructions I get a reply like, "I don't know, I only looked inside two of the cases and they had them, I'm not sure about the rest of them." Why not look and find out since there's only about 10 games?

As for tested and working, sometimes I can believe it as a collector could have tested everything out on their personal console, and everything that's for sale is just extra stuff thrown in. You can stop believing them when you check out the games and they're full of dirt by the connectors, there's no way they could play without a cleaning first.

DO IT DO IT DO IT. That would honestly make my day.

There's a lot of crap on CL but there are deals that you can find. I found a nice Turbografx lot and a couple of harder to find Famicom games within the last couple of months.
