A PS2 with accessories and 32 games (mostly sports titles) for an incredible $175. I don't think I can resist such an excellent deal... :\

http://athensga.craigslist.org/vgm/1868945095.html

I kind of feel sorry for this guy. He constantly posts this PS2 and no one is buying it at his $50 price. I should offer him $20 to be nice.

Saw this one today:

Wow what a find!! Cleaning out a room full of my music gear I found a box labeled Sega. To my amazement the game system works. Little musty cus of the box sitting in a bit of water but still working and needs a bit of a wipe down.

5 Games. Soul Caliber, Ready to Rumble and 3 sport games.

Heard this was a collectors item now. The graphics still are really impressive and there are a decent amount of good games still available for the system.

$100/obo Cash and Local Pickup Only.

Not too bad of a deal there actually, despite it being all racing games and American Idol. Not to mention it comes with that Atari thing!

Sega Genesis system with Sega CD in good working condition. 11 Sega CD games and 24 Sega Genesis games all come with case and manual. It also comes with Game Genie, Sega CD Backup, 2 wireless controllers, Arcade Stick, and 1 wired controller. Email me for the list of games. Make Reasonable Offer.

I emailed asking for the list of games and a price he was thinking about for the lot this is what I got back.

I've looked them all up on ebay and the total price was $450 but I will take $350. All come with case and manual. Perfect working order.

List of games:

A bunch of cheap games in that lot. It's worth about $100-150 IMO. I would pass because he probably won't go much lower than what he's already asking.

Eh, I usually look stuff up on Ebay (completed listings) and then reply back: I looked them up on Ebay too! Then just post links to the completed auctions. Then at the end, put the total for the Ebay listings and say "but this isn't Ebay this is Craigslist. You won't get Ebay prices on here, let alone double or triple Ebay prices. Good try tho."

Me:

If you had Snatcher, Keio Flying Squadron (Sega CD) AND M.U.S.H.A
(Genesis) I would gladly give you $350 for the lot but from what I
see most of the games are worth $5 or less so the best I can offer
is about $150.

Him:

the cd backup is worth $50 and sonic and knuckles is worth $27. The wireless controllers are worth $50 and the system is worth $55. just those 5 things are worth $182.

I've got quite a bite of stuff leftover from a yard sale I had today. It's all free and available for pick up immediately. I'll be taking what's left of it to the dump tomorrow morning, so better come soon. First come, first serve.

I haven't cataloged all of the stuff, but here's a few of the highlights: a few NES Nintendo and Atari games, a TON of books, bunch of old VHS movies (Lord of the Rings, Matrix, Robocop, etc), recliner chair and some baby clothes in great condition.

All the stuff is piled up next to a telephone pole at my brother's place. Directly behind Willie's Grill & Deli/ Alameda Jr. Liquor Mart at the corner of Alameda & Victory in Burbank. (929 S Victory Blvd Burbank, CA 91502) There's a little alley way behind with some apartments and condos. I won't hold anything or provide any photos. It's simply first come/first serve. Stuff will be gone in the AM. I have a few more yard sales scheduled over the next few months. I'll be giving the leftovers away for free keep your eyes open.

I've actually had decent experiences with craigslist as far as purchasing stuff. I ran into a guy who would sell me a copy of Super Mario All-Stars for $1. That's not the rarest game, but hey that's pretty good in my opinion. Also bought a near-mint Clayfighter and Arkanoid: Doh It Again (both loose) for 10 dollars- saved me 6 dollars from those greedy folks up at the Slackers store in St. Charles (where I usually buy my games).

Ugh, I put an ad on CL today, pretty reasonable I thought - people are free to pick and choose what they want - anything over 20 games is $3 a piece. I know there's garbage sports games in there and whatnot, but there are also some pretty decent titles as well. At any rate, there are almost 300 titles spanning multiple generations in here....

Some dude offered me $75 for the works. I am SOOOO tempted to tell him to go f himself. The integrity in me is saying to just ignore it, but that's such an insulting price.

If it's a typo, and he meant $750, yeah, we'll talk. But he's 15, I somehow don't think he has that much money to spend on old games.

"I purchased this game brand new in 2005. Wade is me and my wife's favorite player and I didn't want to list this item on ebay, but I decided to list it and sell it at a price that would help me and my family out in these hard times. I planned to keep this item for years, but you have to do what you gotta do. I'm married with 3 small kids and I won't go into details of our financial hardship unless you ask, but the amount I'm selling this item for is needed. So whoever purchases this item will get an awesome game and be helping out a family.

For all those who ask is the price for real, yes it is and also my life."

I used to get that a lot when I posted a whole bunch of NES extras I had, everything I listed added up to over $500(closer to $600) and some guy offered me $50 for everything. I was tempted to arrange to meet with him and never show up, but I'm too nice a guy to do that.

One of the games I had was Action 52, I ended up selling that by itself for more than what the guy offered me for everything.

Someone else offered me $100 for the lot but openly addmited that he was going to resell them as he was a dealer, since he was polite and honest about it I politely declined his offer rather than ignore it.

What's the point of admitting you're buying to resell? There's nothing to gain and all you might do is piss off the buyer that you will likely be profiting off them.

I would be more pissed off if someone was pretending to buy it for themselves when it's obvious they're planning to resell it. I had around 100 games listed, would someone really want to buy them all to keep and play? I can understand if it's a smaller lot and someone wants to get them all together for a better deal, but wanting a huge lot and offering less than 10% of the asking price? It's kind of obvious what they plan to do with it.

Basically the guy offered to buy them all in bulk if I didn't want to spend time selling them separately, it's certainly reasonable but I don't mind waiting so I chose to keep them. If I ever decide to sell everything in bulk I'd rather sell it to someone who's honest about it(if several people offer me the same amount, otherwise it would go to the highest offer).

If people ask me why I'm selling a system with games, I pretty much tell them why. They're extras for me, to get the games I want I usually have to buy them in a big lot. I end up keeping what I want and sell off the rest later, I find that if I ask to buy some games separately the stuff gets sold to someone else instead. I don't think anyone got upset about that, most seemed glad that it wasn't because the stuff wasn't working right. I pretty much only buy lots if there's at least one game I want to keep for myself. Sometimes I mention this to people when I pick up a bundle of games, that I really wanted a few of the games and I'll probably sell off the rest later. Again, nobody really seemed to mind. One guy was glad I got everything because he kept getting replies to sell some games separately, it doesn't really seem to be a problem.

The problem with saying you're planning to resell them is that you are basically say "hey, I'm going to buy your games for next to nothing and then make a big profit off of them, and I think you're too stupid and lazy to do it yourself so I don't even care enough to not tell you that's what I'm planning on doing!" Also less than 10% is seriously lowballing (unless your prices were really high, and from the sound of it, I doubt they were).

Very true. Usually I don't say anything about what I'll be doing with them, it's just if we get to talking about games it might happen to come up. The last time was when I bought a bundle of games for $80, he priced his ad at $50 but I offered $80 when I first replied. He had people wanting to get just some of the games but I was willing to get them all. When he mentioned that most people wanted him to part the games separately, that's when I said I usually buy lots just to get the few games that I want. It was a bit less than the lot was worth, but his ad didn't mention all of the games that were included and they weren't cleaned or tested recently. One of the games was dead so I think I was fair. That's actually why I'm reluctant to paying full value for games on craigslist, I'm nervous that some of the games won't be fully working.

Most of the NES games I priced around $5, a few I know I priced slightly higher than most people would pay but those I really weren't concerned about selling and I still didn't price them insane. If I priced the popular games cheap(like Contra, River City Ransom, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, etc), they'd be sold quick and I'll be stuck with the rest. If people wanted several I'd be willing to give a better deal too, as long as it's a mix between the best and average titles. I think I'll just start bundling them together in small lots, lately it seems there's less demand for commons.

For the most part I just hope to keep the games that I want and break even from selling the rest. Honestly I think I pay more for bundles than most people, I have boxes of extras that I still need to clear out. They seem to pile up faster than I can get rid of them.

mobiusclimber
08-06-2010, 08:40 PM
Oh yeah I tell people when I buy all their games that I only plan on keeping some of the games. (Not always, but it sometimes come up.) I just mean if you flat out make a lowball offer and say you're going resell the stuff, well, expect to get shot down a lot.

Gameguy

That's true, it's just the way this guy said it to me it came across better than most offers I was getting.

I found the email I got;
"I am a wholesaler and am able to offer you $100.00 for the lot if you get no other offers. I realize you are expecting more and wish you well."

The amounts were different but other offers sounded something like;
"I'll give you $100 for everything."
"My offer is $100 for everything."
"I'll buy everything for $100."

I wouldn't sell the games to anyone that low, but compared to the other offers the wholesaler's wording doesn't sound so bad.

Price: $140.00

gameboy advance with barely any scratches, fully functional, and battery back plate missing.

http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-video-games-consoles-other-138-gba-games-in-1-W0QQAdIdZ223101306

138 gba games in 1
Price: $138.00

i have a gba game pack which has 138 games in 1. some of them are: super mario 3, yoshi's island, pokemon ruby and pokemon sapphire. the deal is basically $1 a game, so get it fast! i also have pokemon firered and leafgreen for $15 each, and pokemon red and crazy castle 3 both for the gameboy color. prices for these are $40 each, due to rarity.
If you're close by try selling him some of your extra games. Maybe he'll be willing to pay $10 for each loose Gameboy game if he's greedy and thinks he can make a profit on them.

Nintendo NES VGA Graded Super Mario 2 Black Label Sealed
Price: $475.00

Original run of Super Mario 2 sealed and received a 85 NM+ by VGA. One of a kind. $475 OBO
This seller previously posted an ad looking for sealed or complete NES games, said I was asking too much when I wanted between $20-$60 for most sealed games. Yeah, I guess I should have sealed them in a plastic case first.

Free Computer to Good Home

Slightly used Apple computer. Keys missing, kinda bent, but was a great computer and I'm sure it can be fixed. Wife went on a rampage when she caught me on a dating website. Go figure. Top cover of computer (back of screen) was never found. No warranty. If you recover my data, I wouldn't mind getting all my lady friend photos back. Thanks!

Hah, Why not just offer to pay a few bucks or something?
Well the system isent even worth a hour of minimum wage to him so if he offered any money it would only be for delivery like Domino's.

Also I bet he would have the audacity to ask for free delivery.

On top of that its quite hilarious that he says hes 19 a College Student trying to find something to do for the summer. How bout get a Job so you can buy this shit.

PS1 with 9 common games.

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-video-games-consoles-older-generation-Playstation-1-collecter-bundle-W0QQAdIdZ223993690

Playstation 1 collecter bundle
Price: $150.00

Selling a PS1 Bundle with 9 collectable games, 3 controllers, 2 memory cards, and all the cables. This bundle is worth a lot of money because the games are very rare to find. I've spent over 250 dollars on everything because I loved these games as a kid and needed them at all costs. I'm only selling them because I need money to pay off my college tuition. It's sad to see them go. Everything is in MINT Condition including the games. Each game is in immaculate condition and comes with the manual and case. You can get tons of money by selling this bundle on Ebay for international buyers.

Games are:
Spyro 1
Spyro 2 (Ripto's Rage)
Spyro 3 (Year of the Dragon Collecters' Edition)
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2 (Cortex Strikes Back with Collectable 3D Holographic Cover)
Crash Bandicoot 3 (Warped)
Croc
Frogger

I feel sorry for this guy. He started out posting for $79,999 for his business, and now he is down to $29,999.

He had a bit of a sale promotion going on recently to sell off a bunch of his inventory (not sure how well that went). Now I guess you get what is left over...

Call don't email
This ad was posted with the Kijiji Classifieds app.

I emailed the seller and got a reply;

Me: Could you list the games please? I know you want people to phone but that's too many games to just call about. Thanks.

Seller: Well it's too many games to sit here and to type it for u from my phone

Anyone here want to email the seller and ask for a list of games? Maybe if enough people ask a list will actually be made. I dislike lazy sellers and I don't want to hear a list of 100+ games over the phone. I really don't understand how listing over 100 games for each person over the phone is easier than typing it out once.
