That reminds me of an ad I saw a while back where the seller used "brings" instead of "includes" or "comes with." For example, "brings all cords" and "brings 2 games."
I thought I had a screenshot of the ad, but I can't find it - I think it was for a PS2 or Gamecube lot.

Now I'm looking through the craigslist for this area, there seems to be a lot of actual good stuff, including several NES toploaders. It must be a good area for craigslist. If these ads were local to me, I'd reply to them(at least to the first one). I'm really surprised by how much good/decent stuff is on there.

I just didn't want to deal with the trouble of listing it on ebay and I actually have tried to sell the NES Miracle Set (incomplete but in box) on Seattle Craigslist a few times for a mere $25 and so far I haven't even had a single question regarding it.
You're right though, the top loader prices are surprisingly good on there.

Seattle Craigslist is really awesome. I've gotten some kick ass stuff off of it. There is actually too much stuff, and I don't even bother browsing it all. There are a couple stores in the area that buy the giant lots and part them out, and I buy a lot of stuff there.
Top loader prices are probably good out here because people are finally realizing that they kind of suck. Also, you can find the AV Famicom out here.

As well as you Seattle is great. I live about 2 hours away and I don't mind the drive up there to pick up stuff. Portland craigslist I don't like dealing with. I live only 40miles from there. But when I have people wanting to buy things from me the question usually is can you drive, set it up, and test it in front of me. Most people in Seattle or areas of the north take your word for it and email if any have problems ( no problems so far ) .

Well I finally got a hold of him and the conversation went something like this.
Me: "So, is this a 4-switch or 6-switch?"
He: "6-switch, original from 1982."
Me: :? "Is it a heavy-sixer from 1982?"
He: "Yep."
Me:  "And for this price I'm assuming all the games and the console are in original packaging?"
He: "Uh...no...I've got one paddle and one stick. The games are all out of their boxes. Most have instructions, though."
Me: "Well...I'd like to see a gamelist. Is there anything rare on it?"
He: "Yeah! It comes with E.T....!"
Me: <clik> :frustrated:
So now I see there's a game list on the posting, replete with misspellings, random capitalization and no punctuation whatsoever. Waterworld, eh? That's not a misprint. If this were a lot for $100 I'd buy it just for that....but not at $1000. :shameful:

I've been spending the better part of the week letting people know that I'm not effing Goodwill...lol Given I am selling for less than I put into it. I would have sold it all for a little less than $2000 cash (I need money bad). I even have more stuff that isn't in the ad I would have thrown in too. I hate the Portland Oregon Craigslist for that. A lot of the people looking for games or systems then you email them, they ask what else you have. Then they'll give you a price for under what you would be selling it. There has been ads stating I need systems for my kids as well. Then when you give a price for there ad they are asking if you can drop the price even more then what yo are selling them.

Best (grossest) Craigslist story EVER
We're selling our air hockey table on CL currently... had a lady call last night about it.
She said she's 80 and likes to have the neighborhood boys come over to play games and go... skinny-dipping in her pool.
She then asked if it smelled. We said no... non smoking home. Then she asked if it smelled like boys.
No joke. You should have seen my dad's face...
Reminded me of this guy but if he was the black lady from the Pine Sol commercials...

So, I email this guy. He has a decent lot there. I ask for a price for the entire lot. Yes, there are a few turds in there but the good outweighs the bad, right.
Here is the response I got:
"let me check on ebay for what the better games are going for and i'll round up a number and get back to you"
My response:
"if you want eBay prices for this lot, put it on eBay. I know what I'll pay but am willing to negotiate. It helps to list a price in your ads. Thx"
His response:
"I'm thinking $200 for the lot"
What do yall think???

Assuming they're all loose, that's too much imho. May be worth it to you though.

Cute/nice IT guy/PC specialist will fix your computer in exchange for a gentle feel of your boobs. I'm a totally non-creepy (really) professional who will repair your hard drive, back up files, install software and peripherals, whatever, for an innocent grope. I have a lot of tech knowledge in my life and regrettably no boobs. Serious inquiries only and thanks.
It comes to my attention.. everyone who posts these kind of ads always describes themselves as "cute". Makes me wonder where all the ugly fricks are in the world...

That sir, made me lol. Still, as far as we know.. we might be dealing with a lonely old lady who's looking for some companionship..
Stop looking at me like that... It's possible!!

Yeah, if it's all loose, it's a bit high; not egregious, though. Offer $150.

I was thinking in the $125-150 range if all are loose. I emailed back to get that info. If the good ones are complete, I am going to hook this up today. I'll post if/when I hear from him.
Thanks for your input. I knew I'd regret selling my SNES stuff last year!

Not video game related but I have a question. How do you get people into trouble because they are selling bootleg downloaded items?
Case in point:

Here's somebody wanting to buy Genesis games. I feel that the amount offered is insultingly low, maybe that's just me. What bothers me most is the description.
http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/tag/976170379.html
Here is a partial list of some Sega Genesis games and prices I’m willing to pay in CA$H. Know up front what they are worth and don’t be had by the local game stores or other buyers on Craigslist who want to lowball you once they call or come by! Are you looking for some money for games sitting in the garage or closet contact me first! Will pick-up. Email for contact…
Yes, why be lowballed by other people when we can be lowballed by you instead.
It reminds me, someone sent me lowball offers for an ad I posted for NES games. Offered me $55 for the whole lot, later emailed me another offer for $65. Someone else once offered to trade me a PS3 for the whole lot, which I had no interest in(just to put into perspective the value of everything). Another person offered me $100 for the lot, but mentioned that they were a dealer and planned to resell it(at least this person was honest with me). Lowballers really get to me sometimes.

What were you doing looking for things in LV? You out of town?
Lowballers are great. The real coup de grāce with these people is when you ignore their lowball emails, and then respond a week later to a followup that the item has sold for full price. Some of the reactions are pure comedy gold :)

Actually, I was searching on Google for Genesis games for all of craigslist(and Kijiji). I wanted to see if there were any good ads anywhere. Sometimes when there isn't anything good locally, I like to search to check if there are good deals anywhere else. Just confirming that good deals still turn up on the classifieds keeps me motivated to check locally. So far I just found lousy deals, including the ad I posted.

I forgot about this, but that happened to me too. I had a bunch of DS games for sale and someone wanted 2 of them that I priced for $15 each. They asked "Could you take pictures, how about $10 each?". I took pictures and sent them, and said that I was firm with the prices. I got an email back saying "Everything looks good, I'd like to get them. Will you take $10 each?" I said no.
Since I took pictures of them, I decided to post these games for sale individually with pictures instead of just listing them with the rest of them. They sold in a couple of days for my asking price. When I got home after selling them, I had another email from the original person replying to my new ad "Are these still available? How's about $10 each?" I told them "Sorry, I just sold them for my asking price of $15 each". I haven't heard back from that person since. LOL

N64 and NES - $1 (PDX)
