Original NES console with controllers & games, ALL WORKING - $500 (Renton)
Date: 2012-09-07, 11:45AM PDT
w8ccn-3256701812@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
Selling my original Nintendo NES console with A/C power & TV adaptors, 2 game controllers, Super Mario Bros. game & Super Mario Bros. 3 game. All of these items work & are in basically new condition! The Super Mario 3 game sometimes requires spraying with a canned air duster to get it to work, but so far I have been able to. I also have a Pro. Wrestling game that someone bought for me at a garage sale, not sure if it works but I'll include it.
In case you're wondering, my boyfriend found all of these items at some video game warehouse about 5 years ago & made an offer on them...I enjoyed having it but haven't used it in a couple years & would rather sell it at this point. It's extremely rare to find all of these items working & in good condition, hence the price. Please e-mail if interested...thanks!

Also, not price-insane, but I saw a craigslist ad a while back in which a lady wanted to trade her NES with games for a live python.

Detailed item info
Product InformationAdventure game with a unique "Dia de los Muertos" look, from the mind of Tim Schafer. You play Manny Calavera, a mid-level worker at the Department of Death (the DOD) who's trying to work off his sins in life so that he can get to his final reward. As a reaper, Manny frees incoming souls from their shrouds, finds out what kind of underworld travel packages their goodness in life has earned them, and then sends them on their way. Unfortunately, business hasn't been very good for Manny of late. As the game begins, Calavera is told that he must sell a premium travel package to a soul or lose his job. In his search, Manny uncovers a hideous plot, a beautiful woman, and a crew of loyal friends (not necessarily in that order). The world is a rich one, complete with its own laws, its own personality types, and landscapes. The game takes place in four parts.

Quoted for preservation:
Konichiwa. That's Japanese for "Hello" but PSP is Japanese for "so nice portable gaming system for you make happy much pleasure give" or something like that. I don't speak Japanese. But I do speak Hot Dealz, (actually I'm fluent in it as I'm sure you are too). And just for you, I have the sweetest deal of all. A First Generation Playstation Portable with a bangin' ass white wrist-strap PRE-ASSEMBLED(!!!) so you can look flyer than that tricked out DeLorean in Back to The Future Part II while simultaneously "playing it" (that's a pun) safe. Ladies love a guy who protects what's his. But you know what they like even more, a renegade. So toss that shit and tell safety to go suck on a railroad spike because you're so rebellious you make James Dean look like George McFly BEFORE he slugged that dude for getting all fooly cooly with his woman. Which brings us back to protecting what's yours. . .you should probably wear the strap anyway. Unless some fly betty walks by, then you can take it off. When I used to play this thing in public small crowds would form around me (mostly consisting of hot chicks but every now and then there'd be a gay dude but it's all good because I don't judge) to stand and watch in awe then proceed to throw high denomination currency and undergarments at me in an desperate lust-induced attempt to distract me. But I didn't get distracted. . .ever. And neither will you because the TFT LCD screen on this ma'fugga has a color range of 16.77 MILLION colors. Damn that's a lot of colors yo! And when you aren't playing superlicious UMDs you be giving girls your UMD ifyaknowwhatimsayin'.
Real talk, despite what I just said, you should always respec women as equals and never objectify them. Universal Suffrage for life yo. I'm down with Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton or as I liked to call them, Suzie B.A. Dolla Dolla Coinz and Eazy Cadillac Smack-a-Bro Stanton because we were tight. I don't have any games for sale because I left them at my other house but if I get them before you buy the PSP I'll give them to you FOR FREE!!! I don't have a charger either because PSP: The First Generation runs on dreams and curse words, which you'll be having/uttering like a narcoleptic sailor with Tourette Syndrome. Just kidding, this thing runs on electricity but I'm working on a dream/curse word conversion kit as we speak. If I find the charger before you buy this thang I'll include that shit FOR FREE AS WELL!!! Did I mention PSP: The First Generation gets on the internet? That's because it doesn't, it ANNIHILATES the internet but in a good way. Not like how George Lucas annihilated his reputation by "re-mastering" the Star Wars Saga. I'll also include a 32 MEGABYTE PSP Memory Stick Duo because Uno is the loneliest number as well as a card game. Within the Memory Stick Duo or MSD as we in the bizness like to call it, are some salacious yet tasteful background photos for you to use at your discretion as well as some wicked sick songs that will bang your ear drums like they were real drums. But if you're not interested I can just wipe it clean and you can have a blank memory card with which you can create your own memories.
I tried taking PSP: The First Generation to Game Stop and they offered me $18. In my mind I was all like, "You and your $18 can go fuck off somewhere." But what I really said was, "Nah man, I'll pass. Can I get an application?" Which I totally did and when I get hired I'm going to rapidly climb the Game Stop ranks until I'm the CEO (which by my calculations should only take somewhere around 3 years tops) and then I'm going to, among other things, change the trade-in value for first generation PSP's to $500,000 or 100,000 Republic Dactaies. So you'd do well to hold on to this thing because it's going to be worth a veritable ass-ton of money. That's what people on Wall Street call a "lucrative investment." Or as we on the Street Streets call it, a "lucrative muthafuckin' investment."
Call or email if you're attractive, single and possess 2 X chromosomes. You can reach me at (704)-780-9878 Ditto what I just said if you want to buy it. Pick up or delivery. But delivery only applies locally. That means not Nigeria. You know who you are. WU TANG!!!!

I don't think it's completely unlikely that someone might care enough to inspect the contents. (you know, intending for people who are more player than collector)

Not a posted ad, but I believe one person who replied to an ad of mine is insane.
Someone replied to an ad of mine for a cheap collectible coffee mug I had.
Hi I would like to pick this up please let me know when I can pick it up.
It was already pending with someone else so I didn't reply back right away. A couple days later the mug has been sold so I replied back to let them know it sold.
Hi there. I'm sorry but the mug has been sold, thanks for your interest though.
This is the reply I was sent next.
I think you are very rude and disgusting for not telling me this earlier. We drove all the way from markham and were waiting for you for an hour. For poor manners of you.
I never replied back earlier so I never made arrangements to meet with him, where were "they" waiting? I have no idea what he's talking about, the first time I replied back was just to say it's been sold. I'm glad I never meet with people at my home.

I've noticed more recently that there are more *looking for you old videogames Nintendo/Sega/Atari ect.* posts than there are actually posts for people selling thier games it seems. I've never done much craigslist searching, but it sure seems more re-sellers looking for deals than average joes selling thier games.

1. What did you do with the L and R buttons?
2. What’s with the cart in the back? Did you just make a lable for the cart you cut the top off of to extend the contacts?

Not a ripoff or stupid ad, this is the best type of ad anyone could want to see. Someone wanting to buy a Genesis for a decent amount, and only interested in buying sports games.

Wow! A NES emulator with a dreamcast for ONLY $85!
I think the sadder part is that this guy actually has a quality-printed label on the disc, so he either spent extra time printing it to make it look genuine or got scammed himself and think the NesterDC disc is a legit SEGA release.

unless that's pristine and complete in box (and possibly sealed), it's nowhere near the actual value.

Sealed would easily be 1K+. That would be a steal, as fucking crazy as it sounds :(

Im thinking about picking this lot up for a real steal.
A 5200 4 port with 3 controllers and 8 games! Only for $400
Games are super breakout, missile command, soccer, pole position, galaxian, Q*bert, and 2, count them 2 copies of pacman.
I did a quick price out on this lot. According to pricecharting this lot is worth a whole wooping 92.79. That is with buying the controllers separately at the listed 15.51 and the most expensive game is Q*bert at $3.50. I also comes with a box that looks like it has been through a washing machine.

Yes. Brand new and sealed, it is priced that.
...for some overpriced copies. There's a sealed one for $75, even.
EDIT: OH IT GETS BETTER

Not only is he asking $50 for a loose cartridge of pokemon yellow, he STATES IN HIS AD that it is "Selling on Amazon for $25-$800."

SNS-001 guys. I want you to look at this very carefully. This is the first Nintendo DS built.

Not craigslist, but I can't think of anywhere else to post this. Amazon sellers can be idiots too!
http://i.imgur.com/ltb9pBc.png
EDIT: also, that boxed super mario world actually commands a decent price (as most just came cart-and-manual as SNES pack-ins) as does a complete boxed SNES, so yeah, even more reasonable. still wouldn't buy it since I'm not a boxfreak, though.
