Rule#1a make sure on 50.00 worth of items make sure your buyer doesn't need to take a bank loan out to buy it.

1000 for a 100 item is nuts

TURBO GRAFX PC ENGINE SUPER GRAFX SYSTEM CONSOLE EXCELLENT CONDITION - $350

Hey there! Going through all my stuff and am selling some of my multiple games and systems. This is the Super Grafx. Extremely Rare. Comes complete with original controller, AC adaptor and AV cables. No box. No games. System works as if purchased yesterday. This system is the one I played with growing up as a kid. I played it just to beat Ghouls and Ghosts and then i stored it. One owner, My dad and I. I cannot find the box. Probably at my parents house. System is In very very good condition. Has two thin superficial scratches. See pic. Other then that, it is awesome. Plays all original PC engine games and can be hooked up to CD rom NEC systems. Enjoy! Serious offers accepted!

$350 for a SuperGrafx is retarded. Especially since with $350 I could probably buy one CIB in great shape from Japan and have it EMS shipped over and have money for several games as well.

For 350 you can get a pc engine duo shipped from Japan with money left over! lol

Were did this guy pull 900 dollars for an Amiga 1000? 80's computers are not a field I know much about so I figured I would look up some information and with a quick google search I am see really nice complete one selling for about 300 to full on collectors. This one seems to be missing just about everything. I also love how he just copy and pasted the description from this website. http://oldcomputers.net/amiga1000.html At least it wasn't the wiki.

Pretty fair looking system eh?

...until you read the part where the seller is so paranoid that someone's going to swap it with a broken one and claim it doesn't work that HE STATES HE HAS HIDDEN SERIAL NUMBERS ON THE SYSTEM. And so, he loses any possibility of ever selling the damn thing.

That is pretty funny, but if he bought everything new that price is around right after tax. I don't know what the likely hood of him buying everything new is, but if someone snags that for $350 or under its a decent deal for someone wanting one.

Actually that's surprisingly not THAT far off-base. I've seen sculptors cuts hit idiotic numbers, conker is a 60-75 dollar game locally and the rest of them are solid 40-50 bucks a pop complete except for that copy of doom. So while it'd definitely be the very high end of retail, it's not the batshit crazy we've seen elsewhere in this thread.

Well he's definitely not getting $8,000 for it on craigs list. I understand he's using craigs list to avoid having to ship it but he'll soon realize that when you list on craigs list you need to list at certain prices if you realistically want your item to sell.

Scultors cut (however you spell that) is 150-175ish now. Scary huh? lol Oh and that's cart only. Boxed copies are going bonko nuts.

I saw this and just wanted to quickly tell a story I have about trying to buy sculptors cut from a craigslist ad.

So a guy (I think it was a father selling his kids games) posts an ad on craigslist, listing some N64 games at different prices ($3, $5, $15), with the mainstream mario/zelda games being at the top and some more common/more obscure games selling for $3 or $5. Well I saw sculptor's cut for $3 and I immediately e-mailed him asking if that and a few of the other games he had listed would be available (in hopes that I wouldn't bring attention to this game causing him to look it up). So he gives me his phone # and we chat and set a time to meet. I tell him I will give him a call before leaving.

So basically to make a long story short, 4:30 comes around I call him to tell him I'm on the way, he says "great, see you in a bit". Then 10 minutes later he calls me and tells me he has to pick up his son and that he can no longer meet today, so I think fair enough that's not a big deal. He says we can meet at the same time tomorrow, and then when I call to confirm and tell him I'm on the way the following day, he tells me he has now found out this is a "rare" game and that he will no longer sell it to me. Not nearly as bad as what some other people have put me through on craigslist though lol.

edit: I think this is probably why it's a smart idea to ask people to take their ad down if you have already arranged to purchase their stuff, so they don't get higher offers and tempted to look their stuff up. I can't tell you how many times I have lined up a good deal, and then just an hour or so before meeting them, they tell me someone has offered more than what I was going to pay, and that they're going to take that instead.

Hell no! I've had many buyers who arranged to purchase from me who flake out on me. I'm not taking down the ad until the transaction has completed. I'm not going to go through the trouble of relisting the item after every time some person says they're going to pick it up the next day.

Well I'm obviously stating that from a buyer's standpoint where my counter to that would be I'm going to try and minimize the chance of the person selling it flaking out on me simply because someone offered more money than what I was buying it for. I hold no illusions that everyone is going to actually take down the ad simply because I asked, but trust me it gets just as repetitive and irritating having sellers flaking out on me so it is worth a try.

This happened to me as well. Some guy was selling lots of 4 NES games for different prices and he had Micro Machines and 3 other games which were decent for $12.. I called him and asked him if it was still available I'd buy it. We agree to meet. Just as Im about to leave I get an email stating that he couldn't find the games and he's sorry. I already assumed he found out the price for Micro Machines and one of the other games alone. So maybe an hour later I see he put and ad this time Micro Machines is being sold for 20 alone.

Another time I agreed to buy a game I forgot which one and then the seller texted me that someone offered more and will I match it.. I replied to forget it that I wasn't going to get into a bidding war.

There was one seller who did sell me Wild Guns for $5 and when we met hes like "Yeah I checked the price on this and its pretty high" this was a couple of years ago before the price just went really up. I appreciated that he didn't stiff me and he still gave me a deal on 3 otherr games I bought from him. I can't believe that games price has skyrocketed, it isn't even that good.

The motor is missing? OK I am seriously confused at this point. He left it outside (that was silly), somewhere along the lines the motor got removed (why???), and he expects someone to pick this up. Hell someone might get a deal on this but I still think this thing working as it was when it was built is worth, eh, 5-8k. That 14k figure probably figures in all the fabrication that went into it. I'm tempted to buy this if the price stays that low, fix it, and my kid will have one hell of a cool go kart lol.

From what I understand it was given as a prize without the motor in it. All of the wiring and buttons were left in place though so it would be too hard to install a new one. It was used during the filming of a commercial of some kind and Nintendo decided to give it away. There was probably a legal reason why they removed the motor.

if it was worth that much, I'd sell mine in a heart beat. hell I'd sell my entire collection because most of the games I have are the common ones that just keep going up in price.

This guy is selling a snes with Mario world for $50.

I ask the guy if he would sell the snes by itself for $30. He responds "$50 with mario". I tell him I know that and explained i didnt want the game just the snes and see if he would work with me.

He responds with " My bad, u meant $50 without Mario, its fair the gaming stores go $60 with just one controller."

Is it my imagination or is the door a completely different shade than the rest of the console?

This guy is crazy! He has it listed for $2800 and has declined all 14 offers since it was listed. I had a look and the console its self is only worth at the very most $200 but that would be with the box. So he figures the games are worth over $200 a piece!

Old Nintendo Games For Sell - $5 (Midtown East)

I found some of my son's old nintendo games. He has moved out and no longer plays them so have decided to sell them.

Championship Bowling
John Elway's Quarterback
Jack Nicklaus Golf
Goal!
Venice Beach Volleyball
NFL Football
Nintendo World Championship 1990
Duckhunt
Top Gun
The Karate Kid
Major League Baseball
Double Dribble
Win, Lose, or Draw
Cheetahmen 2
Wrath of the Black Manta
Bases Loaded 3
Roger Clemens MVP Baseball
Fester's Quest
Super Mario Bros/Duckhunt/Trackmeet
Super Mario Bros 3
Bases Loaded
Golf
Star Soldier

There is one game that is unopened called Stadium Events. Because it is new in the box I am asking $20 for that.

Most of these games are in great shape, but some have some writing on them or are slightly damaged. I took some close ups of some of them that I thought were strange. There is no need to buy them all if you don't want to, I just really want the space.

Send any questions you have via email,
Roy

Do people really fall for these posts? I mean, really, anybody who knows about SE is gonna know the ad is a fake. It's about as obvious as those nigerian scams.

And they just happened to buy that SE from the same store as the 41k ebay seller, I'm sure.

So he wasted the time to post random pictures instead of pulling a Wii U image off of Google like he states you can do in his listing..

Well I got a sweet deal today!! Guy was asking 25 for a broken ps3 no screen on bootup, but no YLOD... so I called im and asked if the light is green he said yes. So I figured maybe he brought is ps3 to a friends and changed output to hdmi in ps3 settings and forgot to change it back to regular AV before leaving and he has no image on his old tv (it happened to me before!) OR a fried HDD. I had a spare ps3 hdd because i bought a 750GB this summer for my ps3 so I put my old 80GB and VOILA! a 25$ fully working ps3!

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-video-games-consoles-older-generation-gameboy-advance-Sp-with-a-lot-of-games-W0QQAdIdZ528863713

gameboy advance Sp with a lot of games
Price: $200.00

I have a gameboy advance SP, selling for 200, working condition, comes with charger, light blue colour, selling for high price because this product is now obsolete.
Games are all $10 unless specified otherwise
-bionicle heroes
- crash nitro kart
- Wing commander prophecy
- the incredibles/finding nemo
- earthworm jim (nintendo gameboy)
- wario land 3 (nintendo gameboy)
- the legend of zelda: the minish cap-$60
- king kong
-shrek 2
-the incredibles:rise of the underminer
-ice age 2
- shrek 2/madagascar
- dragon ball z:legacy of goku 2
- metroid: return of samus 2 (gameboy)
-63 in 1

From what I can tell, he's selling the GBA SP system by itself for $200 and the games are sold separately. The reason why he's asking so much for the system....is because it's obsolete. By that logic 8-track tapes should be worth a fortune, they're waaaay more obsolete than a GBA SP.

Apparently selling 32 million N64s is considered a rare console.
I texted him say "I have the exact same system with games for 85$ for you to flip" lol
