Gave up on NBA JAM TE [Saturn] for a while. It was incredibly frustrating to play the comp and beat the last few teams. Reguardless of thier stats they were just faster and stronger than my guys. Pure cheese!!! I mean how does Clyde "the Glide" Drexler miss 3 dunks in a row. Happened to me and I blew the lead and lost to the Clippers.
On a brighter note I started playing Bushido Blade [PS1] and have gotten through 3 of the guys story modes. Trying to figure out who I like best so I can get to work on learning the moveset and nuiances of that character.
More RE4 progress as requested by videogamerdaryll- finally passed an area where monks swarm you in the open, then you have to guard Ashley as she turns some cranks. What probably shouldve taken 20-30 min. took me well over 90 min from do-overs & reloads...
Also won a Swing Away Golf skins game, that came down to the last shot on the final hole. That game's gonna give me a heart attack.
Bust-A-Move hasnt left my SNES in 2 weeks! :)

Played some Guitar Hero ][ as well as some Psychonauts. While in multiplayer GH2 is clearly the better game, I may prefer the first Guitar Hero in single player. Maybe it's because it skips around genres too much? Or maybe I just need to kick it up to 'hard'... ;)
Psychonauts, while a little rough around the edges in terms of controls, is still a blast. I've "found the milkman" and the secret agents made me laugh...

Well I finished the opera scene in FFVI Advance. Still one of the greatest scenes of any video game. I've never really been into opera but I've always loved the opera scene in FFVI. Truly is a work of art.
Also, some people are complaining about the music in FFVI Advance. Some are saying the music is just bad. Look, I know the SNES version had some high quality and maybe all of it couldn't be replicated so it sounds 100% like that version but to say it sucks? "OH NOOOOOES!!!!!!!!111 FFVIA's music sucks because it isn't exactly like the SNES version!!!!!!!!111" Music still sounds great even if it isn't just like the SNES version.

I'm still playing Boxxle now and then on my Game Boy Advance SP, but now I think I'm pretty darn stuck on the last four levels I need to beat in area 10. I've tried them all a bunch of times over, and I just can't figure out how to solve them without screwing myself over at some point or other.
On Thursday, I played a ton of Donkey Kong Country with my boyfriend's little sister. We were just having an awful day that day. We woke up at 5 AM freaking out because the house smelled like smoke really bad, but it turned out to be a huge fire on the next block over. Two little girls died there, though, so that was really depressing. To make matters worse, my boyfriend's sister's green bird, which she had much longer than all her other birds, died that day too, so to cheer up her and to get her mind off of things, we played DKC for hours. We played in competition mode, and I got up to the final area, while she got up to the snowy area.

Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Colletion
I didn't appreciate this game until I owned an actual Pinball Machine..
Select between seven popular Gottlieb pinball tables that originally came out during the 1950s (Ace High), 60s (Central Park), 70s (Big Shot and Genie(GINIE IS A WIDEBODY), 80s (Black Hole and Victory), and 90s (Tee'd Off). Not only that, but each table has a different theme and a set of goals: from Ace High's playing card themed table where you'll attempt to rake up 16 credits to Tee'd Off's golf course environment where you'll have to sink your ball into the nine holes that are scattered throughout the table;
Love Meter machine (it told me I'm a Love Machine by the way......... hello?), a fortuneteller machine, a Play-Boy table, and a few other goodies. While most of these extras won't last long replay-wise, they're pretty neat to have around, novelty-wise.

Thanks for the codes... I got this a couple of weeks ago from Best Buy for $5 and I was surprised how fun most of the tables are, especially Black Hole which was a favorite of mine when I was a kid.
I brought out my old TV so I can watch Wild games (my lame apartment satellitle hookup doesn't get the local station that plays their games) and I hooked up the Genesis plug-and-play to it. My wife got my Fire Emblem for the cube back in 2005 but I hadn't touched it much until now. The first I tried playing it in 05 I thought it was too simplistic and boring so I put it back on the shelf until now.
I'm at Chapter 15 or 16 as of yesterday and have put almost 10 hours into it. Yeah it's basic looking, but it's a heck of a lot of fun once you get out of the first few chapters.

glad i was able to snap this up for $20. The sound effects are annoying but were easy to get used to. I'm glad the difficulty seems to be about the same as the snes version. too bad i'll probably never play four swords.
Metroid Prime pinball - DS

Been playing quite a bit of games lately now that I'm moved into to my own living space just me and the fiance:
Persona 2 PS1
Was just saved by "Deja Vu Boy" at the school and am now free to wonder the city.
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest NES
Just started; prepared myself for the first dungeon area by saving enough hearts to buy the holy water, white crystal, and thorn whip.
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse NES
My bro came over and played it yesterday took the bottom route after beating the opening level, told him I'd go the top route (clock tower) and that's where I'm at now.
Ice Climber NES
Been playing this game with my brother and fiance, we can only get to about level 4-5 working cooperatively though.
Burger Time NES
Also been playing this with bro and fiance. Only managed to get to about level 4. They like to see how far I can get because they aren't too skilled with this game.
Metroid NES
Acquired rockets x5 ability and retrieved an energy pack.
Quest: Brian's Journey GBC
This is the game I have been playing the most. I played through the ice cave and went to crystal valley and I am now in the town just past the Cull Hazzard Cave.

I didn't play any games for a few days there, but yesterday I played a little bit of Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria on PlayStation 2. I entered the Seraphic Gate and beat Dirna Hamilton at the entrance (I still don't remember her from Star Ocean 3), and I explored the first floor.
Today I played some Boxxle on my Game Boy Advance SP at school, and I somehow managed to beat two of the stages I was stuck on. One I was really close to getting anyway, so it was just a matter of figuring out a slightly different approach. On the other, I think I basically just lucked out in getting the boxes placed in such a way that I saw an opening. Now I'm down to just two more stages to beat before I can move on to area 11 (which should be the final area), but I don't know how I'm going to get through these two. I've attempted 10-1 probably more than any other stage in area 10, and I just can't get it. 10-10 is plain weird, and I can hardly do anything without getting stuck.

I've been playing the hell out of DonPachi and Strikers 1945 (the Japanese version -- Strikers 1945 in the US is actually the sequel.) on Playstation. The ships in DonPachi feel different from those in the acrade version, and I'm still trying to decide whether I like Type A or Type C better. Type C has a much wider shot, but Type A can actually dodge stuff. Strikers is a similar situation: I'm getting a feel for the planes and trying to figure out which of the six suits my style best. I'm leaning towards the Spitfire right now.

I played a little Werewolf on NES at my boyfriend's insistence. I got through a few stages, but I still find the controls a little tough to get used to for some reason.
A small bundle of PlayStation imports arrived for me the other day, so I gave most of them a try. I tried out my very first pachinko game, Sanyo Pachinko Paradise 4, and it was strangely satisfying even though I didn't know what the hell was going on. :P Then I tried two adventure games I bought for myself (the pachinko game is for my boyfriend) - Kisetsu o Dakishimete and R?MJ: The Mystery Hospital. The former is the second volume in the Yarudora ("your drama") series, and it's a really interesting concept. It's like watching an anime movie, yet by picking options at key parts, you choose what direction you want the story to go in. I loved those "choose your own adventure" books that came out when I was a kid, and this is like the game equivalent. It's really a shame that the American market doesn't get anything like this, but the high production values makes it fun to watch even without being fluent in Japanese. The other adventure game, R?MJ, was a completely different change of pace (since Kisetsu o Dakishimete is a gushy love story while R?MJ is a suspenseful horror game set in a creepy hospital). I'm not really one for Resident Evil style games, but R?MJ eliminates all the running for your life and such and focuses purely on the puzzles and the cinematic experience. The FMV style sure is bizarre, though. On a tecnical level, it's pretty impressive for PlayStation, but stylistically it's got that whole blechyness of Reboot and first-generation Dreamcast a la Blue Stinger.

Yeah, I'm planning on getting it soon. Is it a good port? DonPachi looks graphically unchanged, but the voices are not as good as the arcade. The music has been arranged, though, which is nice, but I would have liked an option to have the original music.
