Played: League Bowling and Metal Slug 5 this morning before heading out to Seaside Heights-N.J. Shore with my family and friend Ron..(took a ton of pics posting only some/some didn't come out)
I just needed a little gaming before the trip..Even my wife gave League Bowling a few plays..

Seaside Heights- N.J. Shore ..(perfect day,not too hot and not cold)
First off we Hit the Great!! "Flashback" Retrogame Arcade there.....No,Neo Geo MVS but they had SNK Mechanized Attack that I played.
The Arcade is Filled with Old retro Machines.
We spend so much time in this Arcade going from one machine to the other..T got pretty far in Mr.Do,Spy Hunter and Star Wars,Sit in =Turbo.

Throughout all my searching of the boardwalk Arcades they only had one Puzzle Bobble/Bust A Move Neo Geo Converted machine..

I spent a good amount of time playing F 355 Challenge..Man,do I like that game...And Crashing Ron off the road in a Nascar Game..

We came home with more damn stuff animals, candy and DVDs then anything.. x_x

Eh..I'm lost in Thief Deadly Shadows..I think I'm going to have to backtrack.
I think my problem is I have to do objectives in a certain line and I'm finding myself at other objective locations but not completing them because need to follow a story line.
I had got into the Spooky Ship..(Yea!! the moans are really creapy)..O made it o where my objective would be done yet I'm not getting any acknowledgement of it being done..

Problem is..Sometimes I don't have enough ammo to do the in line objectives and have to go searching for this stuff to do the in line objective whereas I find myself at another/later objective loacation.

All the running around/backtracking really gets tiring..(loading)
I wish I had a code for Ammo..

Two elderly Wal-Mart greeters were sitting on a bench during break
time and one turns to the other saying, "Slim, I'm 73 years old and I'm
just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you
feel?"

Slim says, "I feel just like a new born babe."

Rather amazed at this reply, Slim's co-worker repeats his statement back
in the form of a question, "Really? A new born babe???"

"Yup", grins Slim,

METAL SLUG 5

Started off a two player game with my Son..Saved game starting on Mission 4.

I haven't had any problem with the sliding as I use it often....My Son has taken a liking to it to "showing me" he knows how to it too.

Mission 5...The Jumping Cars he really got a kick out of..
We finished the game fighting and watched the end credits but my Son hasn't had enough..He really likes this Slug and has started the game over.

Now I just have to complete METAL SLUG 4....then play both over a few times before I switch them out for other games.
............
I want to play METAL SLUG X all the way through again..

God DAMN this game is so much fun! I'm totally addicted. I finally sat down and learned the ins and outs of combat and I'm pretty good now. Not that it takes much skill doing constant swallow slashes but hey ;D. Lol. Ugh, and this game pissed me off for such a long time. In fact it really angered me while I was trying to get pass the horseback rider miniboss/main boss. UGH, besides that part it's pretty much been cake.

Banjo Kazooie(N64)

Just got to the BubbleGloop swamp. I got this game for $6 at EBGames, and I love it just as much as I used to back when it first came out. Great graphics/sound, cool characters, and unlike the crappy platformers of today(BK is a blast to play). 8-)

Nagano Winter Olympics '98(N64)

This game is just the opisite of what happened above, I picked it up also at EB(for $3). And I HATE IT!(why I used to love this game I have no idea). The graphics have aged horribly, the music is almost nothing, not to mention the events are slow and the controls are stiff. Good thing it was only $3 LOL

Ghost Recon 2(Xbox)

I've been my luck at the single player missions, I really suck at them though. lol, but it seems my team mates are pretty much no help at all(getting killed every two minutes or so). Not to mention I just suck at these style games. Online play is totally sweet though. :)

Last Night:.

Thief: Deadly Shadows..

I almost gave up on this game last night..I didn't know where to go,I was lost..
In my head I was saying"I give up"..but didn't want to due to all the time I've put into this game.

After reading my notes over and over,
I decided to take a trip back into the Ship, this time with enough ammo to take out the Zombies as they don't die easily.
I'll sneak up on them, stab them in the head and they'll get back up if I go near them..The ship is just creepy, the singing type moans really gets to me.
I had to use holy water to get rid of at least two of the zombies or they would be too much to take on..
I must of kept passing this hole the led into the bottom of the ship, where needed to go.
Finally I met the objective.
Would up taking a small boat out to a Mansion where so far I've slain all but one person in the place.
Now I'm stuck again..
I either need to find a glass or wine or a hidden switch..

Didn't get a chance yet to play today(yet) as I worked on a sold NES system.

Since my last post:

PS2:
-GTA: San Andreas
Just passed the mission where you fly out to Liberty City. Fun mission.

Gamecube:
-James Bond 007 in Agent Under Fire
Started the game and played through the first two missions. Not that impressed, but I'll play through it. Hopefully it gets better later on.

-Blowout
Started the game and played through the first two levels. It's tedious at times, but overall I'm enjoying it.

-Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

-Spider-Man 2
Started the game. Currently in chapter 7. I wish they threw in some more stuff to do. It gets boring going after carjackers and stopping armored truck robberies over and over again. The game also could have used a better map system. And I absolutely despise the sinking boat missions. Once, I came upon a glitch and the boat was too far to reach - couldn't get to it, no matter how good my jump was.

Something funny - I'm swinging around in the middle of the night and I hear some kid crying because they lost their balloon, and the first thing that comes to mind is "why the heck is this kid even out this late at night?"

And after I retrieve the balloon:

Parent: What do you say?
Kid: Yay! My balloon!

Yep, they never say thank you.

Ragnagard..
I have it in the Neo Gold with Nam 1975.

This cart was giving me trouble yesterday as it would knock out the sound on all 3 of my cabs mobos. This drove me nuts!!! as I thought I got a bad cart..I had the damn voltage meter out and everything.
All my cleaning efforts didn't help...and I thought I had it licked by puling the cart out of the mobo a bit..
Still,I don't like having the cart like that,so I kept thinking of a alternate way..
The carts boards are perfectly fitting in the Black Case with what I like as a slight wobble/looseness..
iIsee no problem with this as I have had with carts boards being too tight in a case...Sometimes being in replaced cases...(this can be a real problem as it can cause problems/glitches/re-booting/no sound etc)

Today:
I was playing Ragnagard for a few minutes then the sound went out ....I figured either the cart took a dump or it being pulled out of the mobo is just not cutting it..(Note: Not a boot, all solid chips)

I opened it up again looked it over as it doesn't have the longest of connectors and I reversed the pcb holder in the cart so that,....as I figure the cart goes further into the motherboards connectors.
This fixed the problem as I've now had the cab on for several hours, playing it ...I'm going to leave it on all day..
I've turned in on and off in the last hour to see any changes and it's fine...I've put the cart in the other cabs and it's fine.
So reversing the pcb holder fixed the problem...
The cart only cost me $13.00 so if it was shot then the heck with it..I'm glad I fixed it..

No problem, glad to help. Took me a bit to figure that mission out. It's easy to get stuck in that game sometimes.

Anyhow I've been playing:

Xbox - Ninja Gaiden

Really fun game. I love it. It has quite a few VERY frustrating moments though. I've been playing it since Sunday whenever I've had time and I'm almost done. I'm on chapter 14 pretty much ready to finish it up. I unlocked all three ninja gaiden nes games, so they should be playable from the menu when I beat the game since they're in my inventory. x_x Thief: Deadly Shadows..

Ahhh..I'm stuck again..
I've spent over an hour running around trying to figure out how to get into the Clocktower.
I can find a locked door to the Clocktower but I can't figure how to get in..
Do I need to climb somewhere or what..?

.................................................. ........
The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be.

Here are some facts about the1500s:

Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water."

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and off the roof. Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs."

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy bed came into existence.

The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying "dirt poor." The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they adding more thresh until when you opened the door it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entranceway. Hence the saying a "thresh hold."

(Getting quite an education, aren't you?)

In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme, "Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old."

Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could "bring home the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and "chew the fat."

Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or "upper crust."

Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a "wake."

England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a "bone-house" and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the "graveyard shift") to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be "saved by the bell" or was considered a "dead ringer."

And that's the truth... Now, whoever said that History was boring!

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the Xbox.

I just busted a controller for the first time in about 10 years playing this damn thing (and I already beat it twice on PS2!).

Damn desert missions... between the plane school, The Truth's dumbass, and the 12 pack of Mickey's I swilled, something was bound to give... :(

Right now is semester break, so I've got plenty of time to spare. So at the moment on the PS I'm working on Dino Crisis 1 and 2, as well as MGS: Special Missions. After I finish those I'll probably move onto Air Combat and Resident Evil: Director's Cut.

Well after 3 Grueling games of Baseball Stars 2 my two blue Stools held up/hold up well.. :D

First game as I always use the Tokyo Ninja was a back and forth battle..We both had over 30 runs and were really going at it..........I was playing much smarter then usual as I tend to make mistakes...
I won the first game by a few runs, that really pissed my friend off so we started another.
Second game he took a lead 9 to 0....I calmed down after swinging at everything -over anxiety after the first win and caught up making it 11 to 12=me.
I had got a phone call when we were playing /helping someone fix their car over the phone and I scored 7 runs hitting 5 back to back homers due to not paying attention..(thanked friend over the phone)
Ron rallies and gets the score up to 19..I catch up holding him at 19 making it 19-21=me...he follows up passing me 25-21
His last chance to hold me back,He uses his last pitcher and hit my batter..My batter punches his pitcher and damages him to the point that he's worn out..(he's soo pissed)
He's done..I'm smacking everything he throws at me but I'm hitting a lot of fouls..I catch up tying the score 25-25,..I get a homer making it 25-26=me...I'm trilled as I might win again..(I know this is going to really piss him off)
Bottom of 9th..I get two quick outs picking one guy off a base,He ties the game then he has a player on second and third...
He hits a line drive to my shortstop I catch it but it flies forward out of my players glove,I'm stunned as I thought I had it...He takes full advantage of this error/miss and runs in to win the game..(Great Game)

It's late by now the Dreacast sat all set-up with two guns and we never toughed it.
Played a third tie breaker game..he took an instant lead..then I shocked him by playing smart and catching right up early in the game..
He uses his pitchers up quick and has only one left at the top of the 5th inning.
His third pitcher sucked as I hit everything he threw at me,that how I caught up fast.
This score didn't go very high as we just held each other off after the 6th.

9th inning I'm up last,he hits my batter again totally ruining his pitcher and he's furious about this now..Blaming the game etc,he's yelling to bad, poking the monitor glass as I'm laughing my ass off .... I totally have a chance to beat him now with no outs.
The game was mine and I have no shame in losing, but I gave him the game..
I swung a little early at everything he threw at me deliberately striking out.(1 out)...I try a stupid steal to second and he gets me(2 outs).
Bases loaded,I tried not to load them but I got some hits..
My batter is up and he's one of the best in the line-up..I had 8 Power Ups and I didn't use any...I had the choice to use one to win this game, but I didn't..I hit the ball to the Wall and he catches it winning the game..
I did my best to lose the game but I didn't want to make it too obvious..He figures I made a bad choice but left very happy..
I don't care if I win or lose..I'd rather someone leave being a winner.. :)
Until nextime)

We saw for the first tome an unseen by us ever pitcher catching the ball so hard it made him roll back(happen twice)

Before Baseball Stars 2 Ron played Samurai Shodown,Kizuna Encounter and Neo Turf Masters..
Lol,my Son was beating him in Neo Turf Masters and gave him a good fight in Kizuna Encounter,a game Ron took a liking to.

Airsoft: I let Ron shoot a few BBs off as he's never shot anything.....He needs practice..I'm going to pick up a few more UHC Spring Airsoft Guns to mess with so he can get better.

Fingerprints:..OMG!! Look at what he did to my Monitor Glass..AHHHHH Do I Hate That!!!

Thief: Deadly Shadows..

Did you find your way in? It's near the keeper base where there's a huge pipe in a courtyard. You can see smoke coming out in a nearby vent and you should see the entrance marker up top.

Anyhow I've been playing:

Dreamcast - Marvel Vs Capcom 2

Been playing this regularly for a long time, slowly unlocking everything which keeps me coming back.

Playstation 2 - GTA: San Andreas

Currently sitting around 82%. Shooting for 100% but it's getting pretty annoying ATM. Most of the stuff that's left is really redundant, such as the stupid taxi drop offs which are from one end of the city to another, and the races, which piss me off to no fucking end. I don't know what's with the races, but for some reason the physics (which aren't great in the first place) go to SHIT. There's one race where for no reason AT ALL you bike will just do a continuous wheelie for about a minute when you start off. Just to fuck with you I guess. I swear they programmed random bullshit during these race tournaments to make them extra frustrating.
