Rockman fix lately.
Rockman 8 (JP Saturn) - Just finished, only played the horrible PS version prior. Tenguman's theme on Saturn is bliss.
Rockman X4 (JP Saturn) - Great game, wrote it off initially because I thought the art was horrible, but this is like SOTN with a Megaman theme. Amazing game. Love the extra effects in the Saturn stages.
About to start Rockman 5 Complete Works (JP PS .Been forever since I played the Famicom version.
Rockman 2 Complete Works (JP PS) on its ways over currently.
I also need to compare Capcom Collection 2 (JP PS) to the Saturn version.

Decided to bust out the SNES for some old school action. The first game that I popped in was "The Combatribes". It's great how the opening cinematic claims that 'New York is the center of all evil in the United States'. For the love of God, this game is ridiculous. There really isn't much you can do as you move your slow-ass character through the masses as everybody and their kids take turns punching your head, ad-nauseum. I did make it to the final boss, but she wasted no time in busting out the cheese-wheel tactics which resulted in this game being ejected from the system.

Mega Man Powered Up.
I love this game. One of my favorite PSP games actually. I originally beat all the Easy and Normal stages with Mega Man without taking any damage, but them when I was messing with my PSP firmware on my Phat, I ended up semi bricking the system. Every PSP game I own plus all my homebrew works for it, but Powered Up is the only game that wouldn't work.
Now that I recently bought a Slim and downgraded it using a Pandora, I've started a new game and have been collecting everything and doing no damage runs on the stages.
Since the game has stage creation I'll end up making some stages. I wish IGA would take a note from this and remake the original Castlevania in a sortof DXC style or SotN 2d style and have stage creation with multiple different gameplay types and all characters able to be played through each specific creation. Like the gameplay can be level based or exploration based and you can set where to find stuff like double jump etc, characters like Alucard will use his spells while Soma can grind for souls, etc. Instead of the crappy games he's been releasing lately I can guarantee there are fans that would do a much better job.
Sorry for the long rant, but I felt it was needed. A huge CV fan and my favorite series has pretty much taken a dive.

I came home from work to find my gf playing "Ninja Warriors" (SNES). I ended up having to help her through the tough spots, but she did pretty well by herself considering how cheap this game is. Oh, and did you know that regular men can stab a cyborg with a regular blade and cause damage? That makes sense...

Three weeks ago I found a loose copy of a PS1 game called EASTER BUNNY'S BIG DAY at my local flea market. Today I decided to play through it. Obviously this title was either meant for small chilldren or VERY limited adults. Anyway, the game had a nice presentation ... similar to many toddler shows like Dora or Blues Clues. I'm glad to have helped the Easter Bunny bring eggs to all the boys and girls of Japan.

I need to catch up on my gaming. I had to pick another game to start up on my Game Boy Advance SP. I got too many RPGs going lately, so I wanted something with some action but I had to settle on some Mario Golf since I have almost no GBC games left to beat. :P Not that I'm complaining, though, because I'm having a really fun time with it. I picked Azalea as my character, and I'm already up to around level 20. I've beaten the first three tournaments, and I've unlocked Putts and Grace. It seems like it's a lot easier to get birdies in this game than in other golf games I've played. I did "cheat" a little on the Dune Club tournament, though, since the game lets you save at any time, and if you do that on a hole, it'll make you start the hole all over when you load up the file. I've used that a couple times when I've really screwed up just because it takes so long to play a full 18 holes only to mess up your whole score near the end. I'm not going to go overboard with it, though. I'll keep playing if I get a bogey. I'm really surprised by the depth in this game too. It uses a massive amount of golf terminology. It's a lot different from the arcade-style experience I'm used to in something like Neo Turf Masters.
As for Valkyrie Profile: Toga o Seoumono on the DS, it's been brutally raping me. The difficulty I was having earlier is nothing compared to what I was facing near the end of Chapter 3. I've been trying to play the game without sacrificing my characters with the feather, but I think I've screwed up my file to the point that I have no other option. It appears that if you want to not use the feather and get the best ending, you really need to take advantage of some tricks that you wouldn't know about unless you've gotten some information from a guide or a friend like knowing about double karma bonuses, and you have to do this from the very beginning of the game or you become too weak to earn double karma later on. I did finally beat the final battle of Chapter 3, but I couldn't even meet the karma requirement at all. I don't know if I'm going to be punished for that or what, but I still have my file before that battle if I need it.
