Somehow I've gotten back into Diablo 2: LOD and haven't died on Hardcore Ladder *yet*. I made a level 84 Assassin within 6hrs of playing so I guess I still have some skills in that to already be in the top 200 players on US East for my character class.

Consule wise though, I think I'll be getting caught into Mortal Kombat and beating Diddy Kong Racing (For the dozen or so time) but finally as a game I personally own!

So, i went to lots of pubs with a friend tonight. There is a millionaire machine which we sometimes play but its been updated recently and now has a touchscreen and they have this puzzle game where you touch and remove three macthing blobs which is actually really good fun and i would like a cheap version on the DS. More blobs fall from the sky and occasionally the whole screen rotates to make it more fun. Then later we were in a place we've never been to with a bit of live music and they have a 2player cocktail GALAGA table! Woo! I was excited. So me and my friend played quite a bit of galaga and i got to number 2 on the high score list. We are going to go back with the aim of getting number 1. Its a really good pub, late license, djs playing good songs in between people playing guitars and a galaga table, what more could you want?

Last Night.

So I'm playing Forza Motorsport, just driving around the tracks. "Free Run"..Using the deeper sounding Race cars with headphones on with a matched mixed sound level from my TV...I'm listening to Journey Greatest Hits through the game....and the track on is #10 "lights"..as I round the corner on the Tokyo track I hear the words "My City" from the Journey song and see this on the right side building sign in the game.
...........That's some coincidental shit right there.
This game is sweet!! Puts a smile on my face.... :)

I spent a few hours buying cars and tuning them..this can take quite a while.)Ok..I used a Money Code)..Then I did some races..
My Son loves this game as he just wanted to play so bad, plus he loves Journey......So I gave him the controller and he has the biggest smile on his face now.
He's playing the parts where you go around the Cones....Something like what he sets up with his Hot wheel cars.
I may have to buy another copy of this game as he's just having a great time with it.

PS2: Bloodrayne 2 - $10 brand spankin' new from TRU. I enjoyed the first one a lot more, but the amount of blood in the sequel makes it work well on a purely theraputic level. Nazi's are a hell of a lot more fun to kill than all the pansy ass leather and chain wannabes though.

I finished Rhapsody today, but I think there are a few tiny things left I could do.

I'm frickin' stuck in Super Mario Land 2. I know I've done EVERYTHING, beaten every stage and the game, but my file still shows up as 31 stages completed instead of 32. >_< Hopefully I'll be able to figure out what the problem is because this is really starting to irritate me. I just want to have a complete file. :(

Now I don't really know what to play. I guess I should get back to Legacy of the Wizard. :/

Something FINALLY ripped me away from my PSP!!! (sorta)

Picked up Far Cry Instincts for my Xbox. I've been looking forward to this one ever since I'd heard about it and even more since the OPM demo last month. This is gonna be one very cool and very difficult game.....without codes.

Still bludgeoning away in Untold Legends on my PSP. This is one of those games where you say to yourself "here comes the final boss battle"....and there's a twist and you find that you're nowhere near the end yet. This is turning out to be a massive dungeon crawler of console proportions.

Glad that you're liking Forza, Videogamerdaryll. The game kicks the shit out of Turismo by a country mile. The paint and decal editor rules and you can get super deep into it. Piece of advice? Buy the Saleen S7 as soon as you can. It'll come in VERY handy for the more frustrating races. My 4 year old son is obsessed with Forza too. He's a Hot Wheels addict and literally has hundreds of them. I used to collect them as a second hobby and opened up and gave him all of the non-rares when I stopped. LOL

Well today I played the Total Overdose Demo. Overall the game feels like a combo betweeen Grand Theft Auto and Tony Hawk with some Dead to Rights mixed in. It is very much like a Mexican action film like Desperado, but it adds the elements of doing stunts. For example you get a given number of points for bullet time and a head shot. The game also has a rewind feature if you mess up. The graphics and sound are nothing to shout about but the game is fun I reccomend you check out the PC demo if you are intrested.

Other than that I played ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin Trails on my PSP, I really can not stop playing this @_@

My nephew can use a big controller when he's here but I think the smallest one will work for him well.

Well I am pretty much diverting all focus to x-men legends 2 for now. I LOVE that game, I loved the first one and I like this one even more. The only thing that I am unsure of is if I like the fact that you start with most of the characters at the start of the game. I kinda liked in x-men legends 1 where i could unlock characters as I progressed, it seemed like a more rewarding experience to use each character that way.

On a side note.... why does magneto suck in this game >< He should be one of the best mutants but compared to most of the others he isnt as useful imo - even iceman is better in combat and utility abilities than magneto imo. Wolverine is remaining as my main tank though just like he did in the first game - Regeneration > all , even if they toned him down a bit in this sequel.

As far as I am concerned x-men legends 2 is the multi-platform title of the year imo.

I decided to say to hell with Rhapsody because I missed the chance to do Flare's little quest. I figure I'll save his quest and the few other puppet quests I haven't done for a replay someday. It's not like there's much gameplay involved in the puppet quests anyway. Usually they just involving leveling a puppet up to a certain level or taking them to a certain place (a place you've already been to before, that is).

As for Super Mario Land 2, I've been asking around, and it seems that the FAQ writer that said the file select screen should read "32" could be mistaken. It appears that 31 is the max because the game won't save that you've beaten the final location when you do so. I already popped Wario Land into my GBC, so it's ready to go for Thursday when I get back to school (we got some days off).

I did play some more Legacy of the Wizard, and this time I managed to find the father's crown... only to quickly and cheaply die on the boss because of poor programming... after spending around two straight hours playing... (because I have to, you can only start from the house at the beginning of the game each time you play, and you can't partially complete a place because everything resets as you exit each screen). So yeah... that was an infuriating experience. I really honestly want to like this game, and I did enjoy it quite a bit for the first crown or two, but the longer I play the more I dislike it as the flaws are revealed more and more. There is just so much idiotic programming and design decisions. I mean, if I had created the game, I wouldn't even bother having bosses go along with each crown. The main gameplay of the game is the exploring and figuring how to REACH the crown. It can take hours just figuring out how to get to one, so what kind of reward is it to get wiped out immediately on a cheap boss? That's just one of many issues I'm having with the game, but if I can actually stick it out and beat the game, I think I'll save my complaints for a review.

Since I just beat Sly Cooper 2 yesterday I decided it'd be a good time to start up on the Armored Core games. About 25% into the first one right now and I'm having an absolute blast.

Started off pretty weak but it picked up really rapidly.

Also playing Outrun 2 a bit here and there since I picked it up at TRU. God damn is that a fun game.

But yea...these Armored Core games should keep me pretty busy for the next few weeks as I try to play through all of them. Got a lot of catchin' up to do!

Hammering through Far Cry Instincts on the Xbox. Just quit out after playing it for the last 7 hours straight. Got about 20 into it.

Killer game....best Xbox graphics by a long shot....the AI blows ANYTHING else away, it'll give you fits.....the Halo games are mere shadows compared to this thing. I must be getting near the end now. It started out as a typical Nam jungle shooter, but now it feels as if I'm playing Quake or Doom. FORZA MOTORSPORT

Progress, progress and more progress..If I'm not playing it my Son is.

I almost picked up FAR CRY INSTINCTS today but I passed on it due to having to many games I'd like to finish or start first..If I start that game I know I'm going to be sucked in by it.

So tonight while my wife was out shopping she decided to get it for me as a surprise..but the store she was in didn't have it.
She wound up picking me up GHOST RECON 2 SUMMIT STRIKE...and she also picked up GTA SA for the XBOX as she hears me often talking about also wanting it for that system.
GTA SA I'm almost 100% done on the PS2 but the XBOX requires the whole game to be played over.
Plus since my Son plays GTA SA he now wants to play it on (his side) XBOX....The thing is he doesn't play the story parts and just roams around in the opened up GTA SA PS2 game.
He can't do that in this XBOX game yet until I play the game over.....
Do I want to play this game over NO..But I did several missions tonight"cursing" as can't get used to playing this game with an XBOX controller..If I could change the button layout then yes.
I even tried using a PS2 controller with an X Connection controller converter....I thought I was set doing it this way until I realized some of the buttons on the PS2 are still not as I want them..

Got finished with Far Cry Instincts this morning and traded it in already. It's one of those games where the end boss isn't worth the hassle. Cheap-ass and annoyingly unbalanced. The game starts out killer but takes a huge abrupt nose dive at the very end. They should have just ported over the PC version and left it at that.

Anyways, I picked up the first 3 Tomb Raiders on PSX along with Oddworld Stranger for Xbox and Medievil Resurrection for the PSP. Started Oddworld Stranger and it's incredible. The graphics are eye candy for sure and the Oddworld humor is there. Gonna pop in Medievil after I'm done posting.

Much to my surprise, I beat Legacy of the Wizard today. Kinda sad and pathetic when getting the two crowns with the parents is harder than finding the sword and defeating the final boss. In fact, after farting around and being careless, dying a couple times, I beat the final boss just by standing far to the left and shooting when he got close. He COULD have reached me had he done his breath attack, but for some reason, he never did it when I was that far from him (he never walks all the way over to the left). Just another example of shoddy programming from this game... Oh well, at least the credits music rocked. :)

I also played a stage in Wario Land, just to get a file started. It's going to take me a little while to get used to this whole Wario Land style of gameplay.

And since I'm done with NES games for the time being, I decided to start something I've been meaning to do since summer. All summer I was reading Nintendo Power issues from around the Super Nintendo's launch, so I really got in the mood to play all those early SNES games. Today I played Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, mostly just to listen to the awesome stage 1 music, and I got to the end of stage 3, the furthest I've ever gotten in the game, haha. But I have to admit I set everything in the options to make it as easy as possible. :P I'm sure I could gotten farther, but I was sick of playing and had things to do at that point. Then later I popped in Actraiser and started a file, naming the god Walter (just because it's a badass old-school name and I don't want it to be "Sir Tina", hehe). :) I'll play through this, and then later on I plan to play Super Mario World, Gradius 3, F-Zero, and all those early SNES classics.

Oh, and the other day I played through Blazing Star on the good ol' Neo Geo, forgot to mention that. :P

Finished off the last few Challenge levels and then a long time completing the last level of the main Adventure mode. Man, that was fun. Now to get a perfect on all the challenge levels, i think i've only got 4 to go. Then i might actually start trying the minigames

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith - DS
Picked this up again after many months of not playing it and finally completed the final 2 Anakin missions. Then started with Obi-Wan and did about 5 missions. Its disheartening to know that a new harder difficulty has now opened up because i've got no intention of even trying it. Obi-Wan's levels seem tough enough at the moment

Space Channel 5 - Dreamcast
Managed to beat the level 2 boss - whose rhythm just seems all off to me - and then did level 3 which was wow! amazing. Then level 4 started and the storyline is brilliant. I failed to rescue Space Michael and was doing really well and then finally lost somewhere near the end of the reverse direction bit. This game is so much fun. I think I'm getting into rhythm-action games now - I just ordered Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! for the DS, can't wait!

Wow!! that was fast..How much did they give you for the game/traded in.?

Anyways, I picked up the first 3 Tomb Raiders on PSX along with Oddworld Stranger for Xbox and Medievil Resurrection for the PSP. Started Oddworld Stranger and it's incredible. The graphics are eye candy for sure and the Oddworld humor is there. Gonna pop in Medievil after I'm done posting.

Wow!! the first 3 Tomb Raiders on PSX ..man that brings back memories..

:rocker: Oddworld Stranger ..I really enjoyed this game..(save often)

Still playing some Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 and FIFA 2005 on the Xbox. Also in the sports category, my MVP Baseball 2005 Cubs are now tied 1-1 with the Yankees in the World Series. And playing through Indigo Prophecy (PC) on my lunch hour.

I'm already all finished with Actraiser. What's funny is that I totally forgot about the magic skull item and ended up clearing Bloodpool last. :P Also, what's kind of sad and pathetic is that when I was fighting all the bosses again at the end, I was TRYING to play it like a real platformer and attempting to dodge attacks and learn patterns, but ultimately, I was more successful just sitting there, eating the hit, and attacking like crazy because the character just isn't nimble enough and the invincibility span after taking a hit is so long. Honestly, the platforming isn't that great, and if the game was ONLY that, it would be a pretty mediocre game. Likewise, the simulation scenes are pretty easy and simplistic, but the sum of its parts makes it a fun game. And of course, the Yuzo Koshiro music is brilliant. :) Between this and Legacy of the Wizard, I guess it's Koshiro week for me.

After beating it, I played a little of professional mode, but I don't care to play the whole thing through. Then I popped in F-Zero and played through Knight on Beginner with Samurai Goroh. The game kind of just makes me long to play F-Zero X, but it's still good in its own right.

XIII-Gamecube
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes-Gamecube
Advent Rising-PC
Chronicles of Riddick-XBOX

XIII is a cool game. I got it for $6 and figured it couldn't be that bad. The graphics are way more innovative than the gameplay however.

PS2 - God of War

I got to the final battle and it kept freezing...my sister was playing the ps2 yesterday and she got fingerprints all over the disc and it REALLY screwed it up. I cleaned it last night, so I'll probably load that up and finish real quick.

DS - Castlevania

AWESOME game. It just kicks as much ass as the other games in the series and makes surprisingly good use of the touch screen. I just beat the golem like boss in the wizard lab. I'm lettin it charge right now while I read up on the game online.

Some great DS titles coming out! I wanna go pick up Trauma Center for sure once it comes out.
