I must say, I'm pretty proud of myself for beating Valkyrie Profile: Toga o Seoumono on DS. Even though the difficulty got insane at times, I stuck to my guns and beat it without using the feather and got the best ending, despite that everything about the game tries to force the player to start with the worst ending and then get the best ending with the advantage of a new game+. I think I'll probably put the game away for now considering I have other unfinished games to get back to, but I'll have to eventually play through it two more times to see all the story paths and endings, get all the characters, and unlock the bonus dungeon. I may just wait for the US release for that, depending on how the localization goes.

After this past weekend, I also got the hankering for more PC Engine Duo-RX, so I popped Super Star Soldier back in to redeem myself. I got up to stage 4, which I think is the farthest stage I've gotten up to in the past, but I'm still got good enough to beat the game. After that I put in Detana! TwinBee, and I got up to the snake boss, which I think is as far as I got the last time I played. Man, I've totally lost all my skill at that game. I used to beat the normal mode with no sweat and would play hard mode until I got bored with it.

Started Bruce Lee Quest For The Dragon on Xbox last night.....and finished it about 45 minutes ago. This is a strange game. If you look at the beautiful instruction book and the gorgeous hi-res screen shots in it and on the back box cover, that's NOT what you get in the game. It's almost as if the developer was forced to dumb down the in-game graphics after the initial art was done in order to make a deadline. The manual doesn't tell you HOW to play the game (it just tells you what various things in the game ARE) and there's no in-game tutorial, so.....it wasn't until just before the halfway mark that I actually understood how to play, and it wasn't until the near end that I understood fully how to throw an opponent! The game is sloppy in some areas but is still a blast to play....once you understand how to fight six opponents at once. I'd really love to see another attempt at this one because the developer NEARLY had it.

Puzzle Quest finally came out of my PSP and was replaced by FF Crisis Core. Next Xbox game will most likely be The Davinci Code.

-Triple Play 2002 for Xbox (it got horrible reviews but I find it to be fun)

-NCAA March Madness 2006 for Xbox (you gotta freakin' adjust all the sliders to make it halfway playable)

-NHL 06 for Xbox (acquired because I got it in a BOGO sale in which I had a hard time finding a second used game)

-ESPN NFL Primetime 2002 for Xbox (another game where you have to adjust sliders just for it to be playable)

SaGa Frontier, Blue's Quest. I love this game, though I've never beaten it with everyone. I've actually never beaten the game once with Riki, up to the end boss, retry after retry I couldn't finish it off i was too underpowered even with Kyllin and the rings equipped. I've also never attempted Emelia's quest. I've beaten Red's quest twice, Lute's quest twice, T260's quest once, Asselus' quest once, and then Blue's quest about 10 times(yeah, I like Blue quite a bit.)

Started the game yesterday. I fought Time Lord since he's easier than Kyllin in my opinion. Max HP was actually 320 with everyone but T260, died from quake(1000 off all characters) and had to go to Koorong and pick up some Jet Boots for everyone and owned Time Lord. I previously got the Asura as well as Sand Vessel so only had 3LP, but the fact that I got Rune magic to increase agility and Shadow magic to absorb HP, I ended up killing Rouge all seven times and he only killed me once. at the beginning.

So at the end of the game I'm thinking on giving up the three artifacts to get either Sei or the Kusanagi. Can't really make up my mind. Kusanagi being one of the most powerful swords in the game which would help T260 with his combined Plural Slash/Weapon Master, or the fact that Sei is probably the best monster character other than Kyllin and I do need a good monster to raise to even what my overall team is(already have Mesarthim which is the best Mystic I can get on Blue's quest and her stats are now boosted up thanks to her Mystic attacks.) The other option is to keep the three artifacts due to the shield being both Waterproof and Fireproof, which is just as good a trade off as either other option.

Yeah. Long rant, but half of the SaGa series are about multiple open ended choices that you're able to make. Whether it's getting this set of magic for this character or this set for this character, or losing other characters by choosing this, etc, etc. The other half of the series are pretty straight forward standard RPG types with the unique sortof SaGa gameplay, atleast except for SaGa 3 which is more akin to a Final Fantasy game, which is actually what the SaGa series branched off from to begin with.

Now that I've finished off one of my neglected tri-Ace games, it's time to get back to the other - Infinite Undiscovery on Xbox 360. I probably played for about an hour, but I didn't really accomplishing anything. It's been so long that I was basically just figuring out how to play again and what I was last doing. I probably could've checked my last post about the game here, but I was too lazy for that. :P Even thought storywise I left off in Fayel, I found myself in Nolaan, so I went back to the dungeon and collected some stuff I didn't get earlier. I also did a lot of connecting in the town to see if I could find some special events. Then I headed back to Fayel, and that's about it, haha.

He wanted to learn about how to do that this so I gave him the button to put back in(wrong side bud..lol
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/MISC%20PICTURES%202/pic016.jpg

We started off with him leading 3-0......Hitting Homers back to back..I keep catching up then he'll have a 2-3 run lead,,.I usually try to save my pitchers and he'll use his up quicker....I made some stupid throws to base,(you know the ones where there's no one there to catch the ball).
He has the lead until the 7th.I tie 10-10 ....We go 10-10 He hit me with his last Pitcher and he is DONE ..I get three hits and all were caught..He's up and I hit him,now my last just put in pitcher is DONE..We are both in the same boat..Pitchers have no throw..
Bottom of the 9th he hits a 2 run homer and wins 12-10 Final..

That was a Blast!!!More fun then I had in a long time..

REMATCH TOMORROW..plus Street Slam..

Instruction manual was AAA mint even though the game looked like a skating rink, which is why I bought it. Gonna kick back later on with some more FF Crisis Core on the PSP. My 7 yr old son has been playing PSX all day. Lego Rock Raiders, Crash Team Racing......and Dora The Explorer Barnyard Buddies just for fun. On my PlayStation:
Twisted Metal 4

Playing my way through as Rob Zombie's character, Mr. Zombie. This is the better of the two Twisted Metal games in the "989 Studios" era, but still feels a little out of place compared to TM1, 2, and Black - it almost feels like 989 had developed a TM clone and just decided to include the TM stuff later on. My favorite level is the bedroom, and the crane in the construction site level was cool. If the fact that it's not a "true" TM game doesn't put a bad taste in your mouth, it's a pretty decent car combat game.

I was planning to play more Twisted Metal 2 as well, but right as I put the disc in, a friend called and wanted to hang out.* That's my favorite TM so far, followed by TM1 and Black (I haven't played Head-On or Small Brawl yet).

* - I did manage to put Capt. Jamie Roberts (driver of Outlaw 2) in my avatar, though.

I've never played it through as Iscalio and it looks like it could be tough stuck in that little corner with Esgares coming at you and the potential for Caerleon or Leonia to attack if you take anything from Esgares.

Iscalio is one of the hardest since most of their starting characters are weaker and you have to use the good ones to protect the upper area. If you play as them I'd recommend taking out Caerleon altogether before trying to expand elsewhere.

If I ever play, it's usually with Norgard due to it holding my favorite sets of characters. Alot of good characters though you have a large area to protect from the very start of the game. I have however beaten it with everyone except Leonia.

Anyways. Finished Mega Man X6. Going to finish SaGa Frontier probably today. I'm at Magic Kingdom with Blue right now so not too far from the end.
