On your Gameboy Color? Was that released or is it a ROM?

The game was released, and according to the DP guide (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=23039), that was in May 2001.

More Radiata Stories on PS2. I have made 6 friends in the game but many of them need to be leveled up to be useful in any way. I took on one of the solo quests, and the friends in my party were so poor that I got killed within an hour. It pisses me off that it goes straight to the title sequence right after you die.

Alien Scum - Mobile Phone
So this has taken over New Super Mario Bros on my commute despite it being a simple Space Invaders style shooter. I've only managed level 7 once though.

Geometry Wars Galaxies - Wii
Somehow managed to get a gold on the 2 levels I only managed silver before on the Beta galaxy, one of which I achieved gold just as i died. bonus. So, on to the Gamma galaxy and i can only get silvers. It has more new features and is very very intense. I love this game.

Puchi Carat - PlayStation
I got this back when i first bought my PS2 and liked it but haven't played it apart from that one time. Its a cross between breakout and puzzle bobble with puyo puyo anime stylings. So its pretty enjoyable. I did the trial mode, and completed the 3 easy levels before getting beat down by the medium levels. I prefer the trial mode to the story mode where you face off against a CPU opponent

While I haven't had much time for gaming these last couple days, I do have a huge accomplishment to report. After not touching Boxxle on my Game Boy Advance SP for about a year due to being really hopelessly stuck on the last stage I had left of the 10th set of stages, I finally beat it and advanced to the final set of stages! I had been doing a lot of research into the Soukoban franchise lately, and I even found a program that could solve stages (but the one I was stuck on would crash the program on my PC, sadly). However, I noticed the Turbo Grafx game Boxyboy had recently received a complete guide on GameFAQs (Boxxle has an incomplete guide that ends on the 3rd or 4th set of stages), and I contacted the author and through his very kind help, I managed to beat it! I'm so close to the end that I can taste it. For some odd reason, the final set only has 8 stages, not the usual 10, but I'm not complaining. :P All of them seem extremely tough (plus I'm out of the Boxxle flow, anyway), but I did manage to knock one out last night. Just 7 more to go!

Some nice variety lately...
Been playing Mario Pinball Land on the GBA, even though
I have forgotten to save a few times and have had to start all over Ugh!

Also Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii am at 98 stars and
after last nights fiasco in getting 99 coins in the
Freeze Frame Galaxy and missing my jump (twice I might add)
I need to take a break from that game. I was actually
more calm about this than usual, that kind of mistake usually creates a Fred Durst type tirade.

Finally some arcade games on Mame - Popeye, Pacman,
Power Soccer (i think thats it) definitely a P trend there

-NBA Live 2002 for XBox: I am four games into a franchise/dynasty mode with the Boston Celtics. I've NEVER seen so many friggin' defensive fouls called in a basketball videogame. All four games have concluded with at least one of my starters having fouled out by the 3rd quarter, usually Kenny Anderson or Antoine Walker (circa 2001 Celts). So I've had to compensate by turning down the defensive foul slider almost to zero AND start playing a very passive defensive game, which basically lets the other team get in the paint almost at will. I'm pissed. Also had to drop the difficulty level just to keep the CPU shooting % and rebound ability down (which I'm hoping will also help with the ridiculous foul calling), otherwise I'd actually lose some of these games. Just an unfair balance when you are playing D, at least from my experience.

-Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening DX for Gameboy Color: I didn't bother advancing through the next palace on the list, like I normally would during a gameplay session. I was at it just long enough to finish collecting all of the seashells I still needed to complete that part of the game. I had to resort to using the strategy guide to find a couple :hmm:

Still a little short on gaming time, but I pulled out my PSP for a tiny bit more Star Ocean 1: First Departure. I didn't progress the game any further; I just went around doing a ton of Private Actions now that I have Marvel and Ronixis. I actually unintentionally recruited Perisie. I believe people have been saying that you have to wait until you get to the point that you're collecting emblems from the different kingdoms, so I was surprised that she was already available. Luckily, I saved right before that, so I'm not going to keep her. I'd like to, but I only have one last free spot that I'm saving for the PSP-exclusive Welch. Theoretically, I could get an extra slot, but I'd like to keep Marvel.

And in Boxxle on my Game Boy Advance SP, I beat one more stage of the final set. Down to six now. :) I already have my next couple Game Boy games planned out in my head, hehe.

New Super Mario Bros. - DS
On my journey down I tried out all of the touchscreen minigames. I know they are designed for multiplayer but would definitely benefit in one-player from having some built-in high scores to aim for. The Action games were fun and made me wonder how Project Rub/Feel The Magic holds up nowadays. On the journey back I played the proper game. Couldn't get to the next levels in World 7 so decided to start World 8. Mostly immensely frustrating, then the last set of levels were fantastic and I spent far far too long on the last level and then the boss was easy and that was it, game complete! I brought my Saturn back from my mother's so am going to start on the Sonic Jam compilation next.

Alien Scum - Mobile Phone
I actually spent far far too long on this, and still have only reached level 7 three times.

Sonic 2 - Saturn
So, I have my Saturn back now so put in Sonic Jam, after some wandering round in 3D where I hate the camera angle I went on to play Sonic 2. After Mario DS I didn't like this as much as I'd thought I would. I stupidly kept dying on the Chemical Plant boss and lost my continue. Then I got to Oil Ocean Zone and got stuck. I have no idea where to do and get stuck in some place with no obvious way to go so just die and restart and get stuck and die. Oh well.

Geometry Wars Galaxies - Wii
Opened up Delta galaxy and got another Gold and a silver which I annoyingly couldn't turn into a gold after countless attempts. Did some other levels from previous galaxies also. I went back to Retro Evolved for the first time since starting the Galaxies mode and found it to be very fun and it felt like the real deal and I achieved 440,000 points, a whole 110,000 more than my previous best! So, Galaxies must be making me a little better.

Ganbare Neo Poke Kun - NGPC
Another few minutes before leaving for work. I figure he is more productive after 8am than just before it so may have to fiddle the system clock. He didn't make me any new games as usual but I decided to tackle the "H-crossing" game I never could complete and managed it! Woohoo.

Theta - DS
Since Mario is complete I had a look in my DS case to see what other games I hadn't put much time into and tried this. I don't like the puzzles with too many colours as they involve thinking and planning and being careful which I can't cope with, especially early in the morning on the way to work. There's one fish stage I'm really stuck at, but will unlock the final fish set of levels if I beat it.

I'm not sure. I have the manual, but can't read Japanese. It would be quite annoying to buy this game used and have somebody else's saved file.

Anyway, here's what I played:

Peggle - PC
Downloaded this to see what all the fuss was about. Its fun. After finishing the demo levels I simply keep clicking "play random level". I'm quite tempted to buy the full game but don't like the idea of paying for a download (actually its paying to unlock the access to the game I've already downloaded). And back in the day I never bought the shareware games but then I never used to even finish the free chapter anyway.

Geometry Wars Galaxies - Wii
Just a quick go on the level I can't get gold on but really want to. You need 10 million. I've only reached 8 million once. The first million or two are really easy and then suddenly I just start dying.

Tonight I played more PS2 games:

Metal Saga - This RPG is an open-ended, turn-based game that reminds me a lot of Car Battler Joe (GBA). You have the random encounters but you spend time purchasing weapons and upgrades for your vehicles. The graphics aren't that great, but the anime opening is pretty sweet.

Hot Shots Tennis - I bought it for $20 at Wal-Mart and it was a good purchase. Not as good as Virtua Tennis 3 or Mario Tennis, but after getting the hang of the controls, it's not bad.

Hot Shots Tennis - I've been playing the challenge mode and I beat the next character. You have to win at least 4 games out of 5 to advance to the next stage, but I did beat her on the first time through now that I understand the controls.

NHL Hitz 2002 - This is one of my favorite games on Xbox, but there's just something wrong with the controls on the PS2. Maybe it's the lack of triggers; I don't even remember if I used the triggers on Xbox to play it, but I couldn't seem to score a goal to save my life until after I restarted the game. I didn't have any time for gaming for a few days there between school, homework, and getting eBay listings ready and up before the new fees take effect, but now that some things are wrapping up, I finally got to pull out the PSP for more Star Ocean 1: First Departure. I still haven't gotten back to the main story. I did a bunch more Private Actions, and then I spent some time at the arena. While my characters are getting stronger, I still can't beat Rank A with anyone just yet. I did, however, advance Joshua up to Rank A, which is somewhat surprising since he's just a weak mage. I abused the heck out of Thunderbolt on the fast enemies, and I used the really strong spells when I got a slow-moving one.

Untangle - Flash
A really fun flash puzzle game which can be found at http://nonoba.com/chris/untangle . It gets very very difficult and I'm currently on the penultimate level (there are 19) and its going to take a looong time to solve.

Ganbare Neo Poke Kun - NGPC
No new mini-games unlocked but I did complete that parachute game I forgot to save before.

More Brain Training - DS
I keep forgetting about this, the first game I played pretty much every day so got to unlock everything but this i just play once every couple of weeks.

Sega Rally - Saturn
A week after retrieving my Saturn finally played a Saturn game. And I still can't beat the arcade mode.

Geometry Wars Galaxies - Wii
Tried out 2 player galaxies mode and we got a gold on one level - was very fun. And I played a lot of single player as well, getting more medals and getting frustratingly close to gold on a few.

Manx TT - Saturn
Another excellent blue skies Sega arcade racer. Its annoyingly only got one song though.

Nights - Saturn
Woo. Great fun. But I've forgotten how to do the bosses. I definitely should give this a lot more time.

Sonic Pocket Adventure - NGPC
So, its the Sonic 2 levels. Excellent graphics for the little machine. I was terrible at both zone 2 and 3 bosses and lost there.

Earlier I forgot to add

Strikers - SNES
Some nice multiplayer sessions with a 5-a-side indoor game which is pretty fun, would be nice if you could move in more than 8 directions though but we'll forgive it.

Audiosurf Demo - PC
Tried out the demo, if I could maybe have a couple more goes on the options that I wanted and the elite difficulty I would consider a purchase. I feel I've been cut short to see whether the game is any good or not by having to play though some boring options first which waste your 4 attempts at the game you get with the demo. boo

Started playing Dirty Harry (NES) god this game is awful. Then started playing Power Blade (NES), now this game is pretty darn fun. Kinda reminds my of playing Batman (NES).

I've been playing Mario Kart DS off and on. Trying to decide what game to play through from start to finish next, but I can't think of one that I really want to play atm.
