I also fixed my xbox....I accidentally made the mistake of selecting multiplayer in Outrun 2 and it took me to the original dashboard and overwrote evolution x, so I had to move the damn thing back into my den, connect to the network, reload the damn evolution x dashboard and finally got it back. Then I hooked it up to the big screen again and played a bunch of neo geo games.

Now I'm gonna play King Of Fighter's 97 on the saturn and watch a movie ;D.

I've been playing Kaboom! for a couple of weeks trying to beat my personal best. My current record is 28,780. My second best is 21,674. It's weird though, because I can play for 2 hours straight without cracking 8000, then right before I give up I'll have this amazing run into the 15 to 20K range. I'll try and duplicate it my very next game, and end up with a laughable 3000 points or so. It's total hit or miss for me with this game.

My wife spent awhile tonight playing Donkey Konga..She's through two difficulties and my eyes popped out on how hard it looks just on the second level.
Now she's started the third level of difficulty (Gorilla)..It's insane..


While she played that I played Dukes Of Hazard and ....I got bored.
This game is IMO a in-between game to play/that I'll play between other games.

So I popped Conflict Vietnam back in and enjoyed the mission I played tonight very much..

Playing a very intense mission in Conflict Vietnam...(Xbox)

We have no med packs,..running out of ammo and 3 out of 4 soldiers are remaining in the back at fixed positions by me to stop the onslaught of VC trying to flank us up from the rear.
While I take one soldier and move ahead slowly to clear out what enemies I can etc..

CONFLICT VIETNAM:...OK this game is great,but it's a Veru Good 3rd person shooter that uses strategy.
It's just a great game in general,but it never truly gave me the feel of being at VIETNAM .
It was more like playing a Movie VIETNAM themed game with several that come to mind.

Full Metal Jacket
Etc.

Last night I popped in ..
SHELLSHOCK NAM 67

Right from the door this game gives you a VIETNAM feel...


I stated playing the game and thought..Oh yea. this is much better a game for realism...straight real war grim footage.
The game is beautiful..crisp scenery that just looks like being there.

Man the graphics in this game are really nice high tech looking..
The soldier I'm playing just looks right..the color of his uniform etc.
It looks like a High end computer game with it's crisp and clean graphics...Just really clean.

As soon as I stared we found dead US soldiers and had to take whatever we could off of them that we might need..as being told be a commanding officer what to do..
Then bloody bodies floating in the water with the blood flowing...
Dead VC lie all over headless/dismembered from these big firefights we run into..

It's very graphical/realistic..Blood & Gore.
The VC look like VC..and you are shooting not only men but women...
Women VC..I didn't get that in the other two games.

This is not as much as a strategic shooter as Conflict .from as I've done only one mission with it's primary goals..
I can't use stationary enemy guns and I can't wander to far.

It's Shoot,don't get hit/blood splats on screen/kill everything ...finish primary goals.
Now I've been taken to the base that just looks dead on..
Talking to various soldiers and in all honesty looking for the Hookers that I hear are at this base,Mamason..
I did find a hospital on that base that had nicely drawn nurses..One nurse is friendly but the other told me to get lost..
This game just has that much more realism to it..
So far I like it..

I have no clue what the reviewers were Smoking when they gave it a bad review.
As a VIETNAM experience game..this is it.

I've been playing SHELSHOCK NAM 67 for several hours now..

Oh man this game is awesome,..So damn close in realism..
Stuff you'd see and say ."Oh Shit.How'd they think of that"..

I love taking out bunkers,watching Napalm being dropped..and this game has rice fields with all of the sudden attacking VC....Something the other Vietnam games didn't have.
The sheer detail to this game and what really happened is so well done..From what your comrades do like shooting prizoners....You'll try coming around the side of a hill and see bodies or crashed helicopters/vehicles that you might not see if you didn't try flanking the VC this way..

I thought this game didn't take any strategy boy was I wrong..
I went through two very tough missions tonight with some serious firefights and mass amounts of VC..

I was going around an edge trying to trick the game (as usual) and I glitched/froze my Xbox..
So my current save spot was lost..
........I have to do the two missions over but it's worth it....

I met the Hookers but I didn't have enough money to do BOOM BOOM..

My Sons been playing Halo for hours on the other Xbox..

Played a bit more of SHELLSHOCK NAM 67 tonight...I'm trying not to finish the game too fast,it's truly awesome.

I have to say one thing..This Game is very Disturbing:... to the realism of the Vietnam war ...(Cutscenes etc..
I've played lots of games/disturbing ones and this one really takes the cake..
Just the amount of sheer torture and torture methods used on US soldiers shown/found is very disturbing.

The way the VC hide in places,pop out and get you is rather spooky when it doesn't take much to die..
Only being able to start over at far and between check points makes being careful a must..You don't want to get killed.
That alone IMO makes the game so great because you play harder...and smarter.

I was walking slowly around a corner in the Fortress and a VC came running toward me from my left..I would of been dead because he would of been on me before I could of turned to shoot.
He looked to be wielding a knife to just stick in me but as I turned he stepped on a mine and was blown to bits as his body PARTS went flying past me..This happened so fast I was like.."OH SHIT"
(This VC looked to have sort of darker image as to be able to hide in the shadows..Camouflaged)

I saw a strange thing tonight in the fortress ....(of Torture)..A pile of dead US soldiers,some just killed..One soldier was dead within the pile but was twitching randomly as if his body was having spasms..That right there spooked me as I walked by and it was really disturbing.
I zoomed up and his head would twitch and his arm..
It wasn't a glitch but something added I think by the programmers as a little extra.
I popped a few rounds in him just to see if maybe he was still alive but he was dead..

Oh yea..You do find enemy VC lying around after being shot. Not dead but crying in misery pain..I put them out of their misery.
It's just what you have to do in this game..it's that type of realism..

One thing for me to remember is this date..
My Son messes around with Halo....it's his game..He loves it/he was born to it....
But he really never knew what he was doing..he'll run around in circles with the gun looking up at the sky until I fix him..or he would drive a vehicle around and just ..go wherever.
Playing it like that he was having fun though I've showed him many times what to do/it didn't matter to him...he didn't want to be bothered...he wanted to figure it out for himself.

When we came home tonight he says HALO..dad..

Well,...tonight he brought a tear to my eye..I was playing Shellshock and he was playing on the left TV.
I start him off on a whole new game (easy)..I stopped in my tracks as I watch him kill all the enemies ..He focused on the Drop ship until it landed then blasted them all without a scratch..running around and chasing them down..
I could not believe this..he knew what he was doing...and he would turn to me with this look,like look what I can do dad..
Then he goes over the bridge and continues...I was amazed I could not stop watching my 3 yr old son do this..Following the red objective points/Find the vehicle get in it...Kill all the enemies etc..

He played through the first level without dying..I can't believe this,how well he plays this game..

I guess tonight he finally got serious and wanted to show just how much he does know....and maybe watching me play it for the umpteenth 10 thousandth of times helped...............I have to play Co-op with him now.

My buddy Ron came over after work..

I turned on all the Cabs..We chose SUPER SIDEKICKS 2 to play since he's very good at this game and I've been practicing for a few days..

Wow!...What a great time we had..
We were really going back and forth stealing the ball and trying to score.
As usual he scored first..Game ended 3 to 3 Tie....I was sweating my off by this time..We really play hard and I did much,much better this time..
Then we started another game..
We were tie 2 to 2 then I went in to score and he blocked my Goal kick that I thought was sure to be good..(Damn it)
He brought it all the way back and scored on me..3 to 2 now I tried to get it back and he held me off until the timers ran out..
Again I go down in defeat..But I had a lot of fun..This game is great..

Tomorrow night RE-MATCH...He wants to make the game longer .. So I have to change the settings..
