I've been playing SUPER DODGE BALL a lot..It's addictive..
I keep trying to learn the moves by looking at the move sticker..I don't really have any of them packed down yet and could use some pointers in this game..
From that I go to BASEBALL STARS 2..
Yesterday I played a game and won 19 to 14 but failed to save after the next inning of the next game..
Upon starting my saved game today I was still in this 19 to 14 inning and the computer was on Fire..
They brought the game score up to 19-18 and almost beat my Butt..
I played the next game and the next team NS was real strong..giving me a hard time.
Hitting a 3 homers back to back off my new pitcher.
I saved in the 7th inning with a score of 14 to 11..and I think they may beat me..
I saw something in the game I've never seen..
I hit the ball to the short stop hard and it hit him at stomach level..
He had both hands on the glove to catch the ball at his waste and caught it,..but since the ball was hit so hard it came out of his glove/ like bouncing off of him and flew forward back towards the baseline..
I was now able to make it to 1rst base while he had to now chance the ball and there was no out..
What was a sure out became a base run.
What would be called an error I guess..but I've never seen anything like that in this game.
Otherwise:
I had a runner running home and one to second base..I threw the ball home then chased the 3rd base runner down tagging him out, immediately I threw the ball to second base for a double play but no one was there..
My second baseman dissipated and the ball rolled out outfield..The second baserunner came all the way home..
I've seen this before so though..
My Son has a Samurai Spirits Slot machine Crave..I'm glad since I don't play them much myself..
I just passed one of the hardest missions on GTA SA> x_x

Well, with the third one out, I decided I might as well work my way through the original where I left at a long time ago. I figured it would be pretty easy to pick up again.
WRONG
God I am getting my ass kicked all over the place. I suck at most of these ninja gaiden/onimusha/DMC games. Especially Ninja Gaiden. I'm trying to fight this fucking bird or something inside a colliseum and it's just terrorizing poor dante's demonic soul with it's lightning rays of death.
God I suck at these games.

But I just beat Super Mario Bros. for the first time ever yesterday.
Now I just need to get a block of free time long enough to go beat it without warping.
Also still playing Grandia II, I really like it. It's not trying to be FFX or anything, and I like it even more because of that. Fantastic characters.

GTA SA.
Before I visited and passed the Bike school(Thanks) I had a few fun and frustrating missions to do that led me to the end of the game..
I have only did the first Zero Mission that I used a Cheat to pass, yet I was still able to finish the game.
I still have lots to do in San Andreas, but many games to play..
So GTA SA will be played in-between other games, though my Son's still playing it..
He took over the controls when I was done.
He's messing around with Halo 2 now..

I have yet to start the games below that I'm looking forward to playing more then others.

Ghost Recon 2/Xbox.

Congrats on finishing San Andreas!
Btw, Zero's missions are side missions - you don't need to do them to finish the game, but it will get you closer to 100% completion.
I'm still going through the missions in Las Venturas. I've decided to take a break from playing it since I'm a little burned out on it right now - I'll go back to it every now and then but I won't be playing through it as much as I have for a while. There are some other games I want to finish and a few I want to start up.
Tonight I played 4x4 Evo 2 on the Gamecube for a few hours.
Switched over to an XboX again because I just HAD to play Fable, Sudeki and Ninja Gaiden among others.
I'm quite far into Fable (magnificent!!) and have also been playing Toca Race Driver 2, with bits of Halo 2 thrown in.

So far It's Great!!
NOTE:..Keep telling yourself to RELOAD..
Last night you couldn't pull me away from the game..My wife had to yell in my Headphones.."Hey,It's 4 Am"
I'm glad I started on Easy (Easy,Normal ,Hard,Authentic)..Sometimes parts feel too easy then other's seem impassible..
This is a type of game I will try certain Chapters on Hard/Authentic later..
The Sound in this game is Superb..Really well done..
I like the control method/Default I was instantly used to and it's smooth...I love the way the Germans will move to hold you off and sometimes prevent you from flanking..
this game "Is me" because I always try to Flank.(in other games)
I love the fact that though I may have passed a spot and killed the Germans there they may occupy the spot again after I pass thus shooting at me from behind now making for a more intense game.
This game IMO a thinking game.(I like that). No much going in Rambo.
I did go in a few times Rambo and it worked(note I'm on Easy).and other times I was Killed quick,I do most of the flanking myself while my soldiers Suppress.
Sometimes they are no help so I have to flank and do the work myself..
Other times they will keep the enemies busy looking at them while I come around to the back..
At one spot I was pinned down my a machine Gun emplacement..I could not move, this put they feel of the fight right in the game as mud and dirt are hitting the screen as bullets hit so close to me..
My Soldiers had to pull the enemies attention off of me for a second while I ran for cover.
I use another tactic for some of the enemies that may not work as well on another difficulty..I tell my soldiers to stop firing and when the Enemy pops his head up to see where I am..Bam I cap him..This works well with hidden enemies.
I do like the forced allowed/kept in Play in areas that keep you within the area of the fight though it looks like I can walk forever I can't.
This makes the game what it is,for if I could free roam I'd be going "way around" the enemy to flank them.
Some of the parts are really intense (ROCKS!!)Most of them are triggered in when you man a enemy machine gun emplacement..
I have a few minor gripes:
Sometimes My soldiers will Float..whereas they are moving but their legs are not..(I can deal with that.
They will run into the line of fire if you don't direct them with shorter points to go to..
If I'm far away from them and call them to come to me/Fall In,they will take the shortest route sometimes to get to me and often get killed...For me that's start over from the last check point because I never go through a game with any of my soldiers dying...(Calling from so far away is not realistic but understandable)
Having to Popcorn Trail them to me lots of times forces me to have to go back and manually direct the route they will take.
That does add a bit more intensity to the game so maybe it's not that bad.
Moving these guys right is a must..Sometimes they will be smart and take cover and when they do the right thing you'll get a feel of accomplishment..
Other times If I just don't keep on them they will run right out into the field of fire, sometimes right in front of me..
That will bring on a Flurry of Curses or yells from me that I wish they could hear sometimes..Like"Get The Fk Out Of The Way" :D x_x
.................................................. .................................
I'm not very far into the game as I can clearly see there is much more that I will be able/have to do..(Just by knowing while going through the Tutorial)
I'm used to most of the commands that I have to say are a must to proceed in this game.
I don't use the overhead map much as I do a lot of peeking and sneaking.
If you try and Rush through this game I can see where it can be Frustrating...
If I get killed I know where I went wrong and do it again the right way..

I played that one a couple times with MAME, and if I ever had the opportinuty, I'd buy a Neo just for that game. :)
Today I hooked up my Genny flasher and spent a little time with Action 52.
Don't give me that look. I'm not gonna open a sealed copy just to experience how utterly terrible it is. Really, though. They couldn't get freick'n PONG right.
After playing a handful of these terrible games, I reflashed it and played some Newzealand Story and some Dragon's Fury. Very much need to pick these two up sometime...Dragon's Fury is an awesome pinball...and getting it would put me at half the Genny pinball library...all six of it! :D
---
I'm on an MD kick today...In the several hours since I posted this, I've also ended up playing through a little MD shooter called Verytex. Not the greatest shooter on the system, but it's not bad in it's own right. Though several stages do have what has come to be known as "parallax of doom", as it actually makes a couple of my friends physically ill when they watch it. Can't say I have that problem, myself, but...well, just a warning to anyone who decides to try it...

Neo Geo MVS Candy Cab..
Super Dodge Ball
I've change the difficulty to level two and I've resorted to cheating a bit
I'm using the cheat data base on the Uni bios chip to give my players Full Power at all times and have turned off the time limit.
I forget if the time limit is adjustable through the sift dips, but having it off gives more game play time and no wins due to the timer running out.
I've been trying to learn the combo's and have mastered some.
The games is getting a lot more fun as I learn them, and other tactics.
I'm still getting my butt kicked but did get further in the game today.
.................................................. ............

Continuing my Championship/saved game in:
Baseball Stars 2
I use the Tokyo Ninja's(running team)
I thought I heard the game say that I have a new line-up in my 4th game..So I guess I'm in my forth game..
I don't know where I could tell just what game I am in,in the championship.(?)
I won the last game 19 to 8 and try just to play one game a day...
The last team did try really hard to beat me..I had to use all my players "Power Up" to get my score.I hope that doesn't bite me in the ass later since I used all of them up and never usually do that.
I saw another error tonight:.I hit the ball hard to the 3rd base man and it hit his foot as it looked like he was trying to block it...then it rolled forward....(no out)
I guess I've been paying attention more to this now,I could have missed this happening in the past.

Brother's in Arms
I played a few missions tonight and again I have to pull myself away from this awesome game..I got past the one mission I left off on last night/stuck by finding a path that led me right to the side of the machine gun turret.
I kept getting killed because I didn't notice the path as I don't use the 'situation awareness view"/overhead map..much..
I feel it's cheating and takes from the game, though I've found I needed it many times.(I like to go in blind)
The last three missions I played really make this game shine..(where I left off)
((with good headphones on at a decent volume level the sounds in this game is great)
This one mission part I must of been on for over an hour(Enjoyment),I figured I had the area in the bag after the big fight we just went through, doing it over several times..
My guys had hardly any life left and here come two Panzer Tanks.."Holy Shit" I yelled to myself pulling all 6 of my guys back...If I could yell Run I would of..
I was trying to hide my men in a spot where the tank could not hit them..That was hard and I was shitting my pants as the first tank was coming right to where we were hiding..
I needed to figure just where to go as this tank backed us all the way up to where we started and it was an intense feeling of being trapped as it kept firing at us..My guys are all yelling and that gave the feeling of being so real..My men are at a one hit I'm dead health level.
I hid my guys in a spot where they can fire near the tank if I order then to and it can't get to them unless it comes around again,so I need to keep an eye on it...I don't think this will work out everytime as I can see this mission being very frustrating..
...I then tried to sneak around it..I popped up to look at the Tanks location and the German soldier that was looking around for us out of the top hatch with binoculars saw me..Uh Ohhh!!
I started laughing because he jumped in the tank so fast and turned the turret towards me I was stunned as I didn't have in mind just what I was gong to do if he saw me.
I ordered my men to suppress the part of the tank that they could see, while I ran,hid then snuck up behind it..
That wasn't so easy as it kept turning on me..I took a chance run and climbed on back of the tank and threw a grenade in the tank..I didn't get off the tank fast enough as the tank turned and exploded the first time so the grenade explosion knocked me back on the ground, totally disorientating me..All I could see was a blur and was in the yellow of health now..
As I'm trying to get up the Tank explodes a second time finishing it off and further disorientating me where my health was in the red now..
Hear comes the second tank..
I had nothing to kill this tank with and it seemed this one was much more on the attack..I couldn't go anywhere.
This tank was really searching us out...Luckily where I blew up the first tank it blocked the road to me men and the tank kept trying to get by.
My object now was to find a Panzerfaust Rocket Launcher..I could not find it..So I went into what I think is the area that I would be going when I finished off the tanks..(next area)
The Germans seemed so far off and the way I came around on them it's like they didn't see me..As soon as I reached this area the game saved, thank goodness...
I killed them off, taking my time not to get hit..and found a Panzerfaust Rocket Launcher and a Rocket cachet near the spot where if I did the mission differently I may have found them earlier.
I had to hit the tank several times running back to get another rocket..
I figure the mission is over and more Germans are just around the corner...What a long mission that was..
This is one chapter I will try/play again..
One of the next Awesome Missions I'd say the idea was somewhat taken out of Saving Private Ryan..
Tower/Sniper rifle and tanks...This mission was I'd say one of the best if not the best so far..

BROTHERS IN ARMS
Road To Hill 30
I played the last few levels and finished the game on Easy..
I'm going to play the game now totally over on Normal and try and go back to chapters and select to play them on "difficult" just to see if any chapters will open up on authentic without having to go through the whole game.
Authentic mode is only opened after playing the game on "difficult"
I do want to play this game over so I will be playing it all the way through starting tonight.
IMO Starting on normal may be a waste because I could just choose"difficult" but I have a feeling that "difficult"is going to be way to hard.
Authentic is probably a 1 hit death..I can't even fathom that as this game has some really hard spots..
The ending tricked me into thnking it was the end and that I still had more to go....It really didn't feel like an ending but leaving off for more to come(hopes)
What I think it was leading me to was to tell me there will be a sequal and what the name of it is:."Beyond Road To Hill 30"
Near the end of the game I caused one of my own tanks to flip on it's side.
It's a glitch..It drove through a spot it wasn't supposed to that I told it to..
The game was still thinking the tank was upright and I could direct it around a bit until it got stuck.
The driver is still looking for enemies with his binoculas.
I tried to use another tank to push it over but it wouldn't go close enough to it.
I've ran into spots were my guys got stuck in glitches where they just became frozen or unmoveable, leaving them behind ...On easy it was ok to deal with but if this happens on hard it's going to really suck..

If anyone is reading this, and you own a PS2, I urge you to find this game. I'm not a huge flight-sim fan but this game has kept me glued to the TV for the past weekend. Everything about it is simply superb, and the mission design and variety is the best I've ever played in a console flight sim game. As soon as I comlpete it look for a review!

Pulled out a random game from my collection and played it: Adventures of Kid Kleets (SNES).
My my count there are three platformers out there where you play as a kid with a soccer ball. This, plus Marko and The Hurricanes. I have to say, this one is much more playable than Marko..."Soccer Kid" actually runs at a respectable clip.
But then near the end of the second city it all goes to crap...gets just too hard and busy for the way the controls work. Eh, I'd rather play "Hey FIFA!" (http://www.actsofgord.com/Villainy/chapter04.html), anyway.

Did play about 20 minutes of:
3do - Flashback
I'm really impressed by this version. Everything looks much sharper and smooth. I got to the part where you jump into the pit, and I'll probably resume there tomorrow morning.

Rygar (PS2)..currently just got to World 6...great game :D
Mission Impossible: Operation Surma (PS2)
Finished Fable (legendary status). I thoroughly enjoyed it although I found the end to be a bit weaker than I was expecting. I guess that the game is more about the journey than the end.
Now I'm playing Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic. I hated it when it first came out but I decided to give it another look. It's not bad....but I'm assuming that it gets WAY better considering all of the acclaim that this game received.
Also doing Sega GT Online, Halo 2 and Colin McRae 4.

Brothers in Arms
I'm actually enjoying this game more the second time around playing it on "Difficult"...
This time around I'm seeing and noticing things I've missed the first time..((.Eye Candy/Effects etc..
I'm getting more enjoyment this time around and the level though passed through one are still feeling somewhat new to me..
It's just this time around I have the feel for the game whereas I'm very used to controlling my soldiers and tanks around now.
I'm putting them in better spots and fully using them.
I can literally say this game is better played the second time around..
A few missions that were really tough before I took on totally different this time around and had such a great feeling of accomplishment..
I went through a whole mission without using a tank that I needed to go back, meet and bring up to my location..Before I even went to go get the Tank I had already cleared out all the Germans..I didn't even take advantage of having the tank..
The next mission using the Tank I totally changed around the way I did it the first time..
This time I tricked the enemy by coming up from behind them..flanking way around, tricking them into following me around a church..The enemy tank didn't even have enough time to turn it's turret before I tank cracked it open..
That was a very satisfying Mass enemy mission.
The game has got tougher at spots, now the enemy is shooting Panzerfaust Rockets at me ..I didn't see this happening on easy....
The first time I saw a rocket being shot at me it was coming right for my face..My thumb clicked duck so fast I was still in shock...(whew!!)..And they've killed me with it several times..You have to get them first..
My trick is patience..moving my men smarter and slower..I do most of the killing..99% of it..
I use the kneel, hide and aim at head tactic..With the German K98 Rifle I can pick them off from pretty far..I trade off my Machine gun for that fallen enemies weapon right away...That and the M1 is all I need.
If I had a Sniper Rifle, forget about it..I'd be able to go through the game by myself..
I have a feeling "authentic"mode makes some changes to this game that'll make it super tough and really intense.
There are a few things I can see being removed to make it hard..

Rygar (PS2)
Devil May Cry 3 (PS2)
April OXM #43 Demo Disc (Xbox)....Jade Empire rocks :D
Fully absorbed by Colin McRae 4 and making my way through KOTOR. Also took a look at the Indiana Jones game that I finally acquired for my N64 collection (impressive.....a shame that it wasn't a released game). Very dirty cart, so I'm going to get some stalls until I can get it superclean again.

Played a bunch of carts on my Atari 5200 "Super" System, with an adapter to use a Sega Genesis pad...
Moon Patrol is surprisingly still good
Wizard of Wor isn't quite Amazing Wizard, but is pretty neat
Bristles is interesting
Berzerk and Joust are pretty cool
Pac-Man and Qix are just okay
Looking forward to putting more time into Miner 2049er (I die on board 4) and Pitfall II (want to see the lost levels)
Cheers,
Ben

My Sons been wanting to play the Brother in Arms game..He's been grabbing the controller from time to time when I leave it on pause.
He was able to play it a little, but it's on difficult right now and he's not ready for the commands etc at his age 3 just yet.
So I put:
MOH Front Line
Call Of Duty
MOH Rising Sun
Men Of Valor
In his Xbox setting each game up to see how he'd do.I don't have these games saved with any progress in his Xbox so I had to start them myself.
I wound up playing the first level in MOH Front Line & MOH Rising Sun myself as he watched in enjoyment.
Forget about starting Men Of Valor, the training mission is forced and is to long..Call Of Duty is another story.
So he picked MOH Front Line and ran around the beach for awhile..He wanted to play from there..
By the time I finally got him all set up he was tired.
I'm going to start him off further in that game and see how he does
MOH Front Line I never played before on the Xbox..I own a copy for the PS2 that I bought on launch that I finished.
I'm actually looking forward to playing the Xbox copy....It looks Great!!
..
Today I ran into a mission on Brother in Arms that I found to be almost impossible as my guys were gunned down right at the start..
I think it's where I placed them before the intermission of the next level..
I had to move them super quick and basically hid them in a corner so they wouldn't get hit.
I then got killed several times trying to pick off the mass amount of enemies myself/sneaking around.
Eventually after several tries I was at a good spot to call my guys in and take on the last four Germans with me...Amazingly they killed all four on the way to me and I didn't even fire a shot..

Wasted my time today with a few quality hours of Star Wars: Republic Commando. The game is great in my opinion. One of the best squad based shooters made, and this adds to another great title in the Star Wars Library.

Viewpoint.
Man some of the bosses in this game had are incredibly hard..
I don't know what to call the boss with the teeth/multiple face that looks sort of like a skull.
Anyway..it took me forever to get past the first one..I can get past most of it's firing pattern but killing him is hard..
I can't see either of them being past without getting killed numerous times.
My fingers hurt after just those two bosses.
I'm not to fond of the two player "simultaneous" in this game..My Son joins in and the game seems to lag a little and I can't move as far to one side if he's to far to one side causing me to get killed more.
