I've been playing a few games of MVP Baseball 2004 and ESPN Baseball, both for the XBox...which I've gotten recently. I've had MVP Baseball for the GameCube and I've noticed a few differences...it seems a few different lines from the announcers are there, the crowd noises are different...perhaps more stereo separation?...and they have several different openings when the game comes on with more players tellling you "It's in the game" than are there for the GC version. Despite some different animations and features, the ESPN game still looks and plays remarkably like the 2nd World Series game for the Dreamcast...

Since I've been playing baseball on the XBox, perhaps it's time to also dig out All Star Baseball 2004 (I never got 2005)...

Played these 5 NES games before packing them to be shipped..

Had some friends come over this evening.....Arcade Machine-games only to be played night.
It was Super Sidekicks 2 rematch night.

I turned all the cabs on except BAM..Two of our friends starting playing METAL SLUG on the big red...then Aero Fighters 2,.. MOTW..And Tekken 3......flipping back and forth with Ron after whoever lost....(I was still packing packages)
We decided to set the VS timers to 7 minutes 30 second on Super Sidekicks 2 to make it a bit longer...With more time I play better..
We let that cab run it's demos..(Neo Gold) and we decided to play Super Baseball 2020 on the Candy cab...
My buddy Ron wasn't used to the controls but is excellent at Baseball games..As good as I am with this game against the computer a human opponent is very much different..
He was on Fire..I could not get a hit..He had 7 runs and I had 1..
By the 3rd inning he had everything mastered ..Striking my butt out..stealing bases etc..
8th inning I'm up..I get 4 runs in with some side hits and misses he makes in the field..(sweet)..Now it's 7-5..and he's got another pitcher left plus his runners are super fast...faster then I've ever seen in this game.
He's up..He hits two leftfield outs..close to the wall,then I strike him out..
I'm up bottom of the ninth....I have two outs ,I load the bases....I get one run in..making it 7-6....(we are going crazy now,yelling etc..)
I get a hit left,field it bounces off the wall.. rolls... My third base man is coming home I'm beating the b button..,he throws it to third and I have to say we were dead even/me getting to 3 rd base and him catching it at third....OUT!!!..He got me..Game Over,What an upset..
I would of at least tied and still had bases loaded.....Great Game..Man was that fun..That cab was cranking loud as was the others..
Our two friends took over the Candy cab to play Neo Turf Masters..before having to head home/long drive..

We start Super Sidekicks 2 (rematch)...
We play 8 fighting back and forth...wrist hurting,sweating/cab shacking ...Shouting at GOALS /Celebratory dance Games..
I win 2 Games.. He wins two games..one after the other....We are tie now at two games a piece..Tie breaker Time.
We tie 2 to 2...in the 5 the game..We are playing very defensively so not much is scored...but lots of attempts are made..And this game is non stop action..That calls for a lot of yelling and laughing....New Game M$%#^.. Lets Go..

The next three games we tie..2-2 /1-1/3-3 making miraculous scores before the timer runs out to tie the game....and misses at the goal to win as the timer runs out....

So we are Tie now...I played the best I ever had....We stopped..It got late,we would of played all night..
Tomorrow night..Super Sidekicks 2 (rematch)...Timer set to 10 Minutes..

Man we were loud..When it was all over I cleaned off all my cabs(fingerprints)I realized just how loud the cabs were too..

There is NOTHING like playing against a human opponent....on an Arcade machine..

I'm trying to unlock all three eternals. So far, I've unlocked Eternal 1, and I always seem to wind up 1-5 cm away from unlocking Eternal 2 and running out of time. It's going to take a lot of practice to get Eternal 3.

I'm also trying to roll up all the cousins and items I've missed.

Today I'm playing ASB 2004 on the XBox. Got this used and this is the first time I've played the game since I had a GameCube copy. The top of this disc seems a bit sticky but luckily it's not affecting the game. Is there a way to clean off the tops of discs?

....I'm glad I bought the strategy guide though..I hardly ever buy strategy guides.
I've only read a few pages for general info so far,I try and not use it strategy guides unless it's a must..

I keep swimming to the locked parts on the map,and seeing how far I can get before getting killed..:D

Last night: NEO GEO MVS.

Super Baseball 2020 ..
My friend Ron came over and I had the Candy cab still running..I had just finished playing a Championship game(winning by only one point..
I started playing GTA: SA ..as Ron came in he started playing my continue Championship saved game of Super Baseball 2020 murdering the other team with a score of 15 to 1..
The 1 run was scored at the bottom of the ninth.
Then we played..he beat me 7-6.....He admits a human opponent is very different and harder to beat...A great back and forth game.


Then we played 2 Games of Super Sidekicks 2..
I beat him bad,though it was only 2 to 0 he hardly had the ball..I just coun't score again..

Then he got pissed..changed his team and Whooped me 5 to 1....Whew!!,Now that was a game..

Am currently playing Golden Sun and The Adventure of Link on the GBA.

I've left aside my GBA for too long in recent times; I decided to give it more love. :D

BTW, am I the only one to find The Adventure of Link the hardest Zelda game ever released? I dunno if it's the different perspective, but I'm very slowly working my way through the game (and I'm only at the third castle after many, many hours of logged gaming -- and I even had to redo part of the game - castle #2 - as I resetted the game at one point without making sure that all the stuff I've done like getting the hammer and finishing the second castle, were saved).

I dunno when I'll have time to play this week (aside from the GBA, which I play during my commute to and from work). Lessee... tomorrow night is my big tv night, Tuesday is the US election and I'll watch the hour-long election ed of the Daily Show, maybe Wednesday?

Finished Silent Hill 2 and am now playing Silent Hill 4 the Room...

I liked Silent Hill 2 but actually liked Silent Hill 3 a bit more. Silent Hill 4 is really good so far, some of the game is a little uneven, but I like how the game is different. BTW I'm playing on Easy, partly because my gf is playing with me, partly because it's harder than previous SH games!

First off we played Super Baseball 2020.

I beat him 6 to 1...it was almost a shut out and he was soooo pissed..
He was very upset to lose to me..Baseball/games are his thing..

Re-match..
I didn't pick the same team again..I picked a team I usually use..I had him again 8 to 3..then I had nothing left..Out of pitchers etc..He made a superb comeback to beat me 13 -8..
I loaded the bases so many times to try and catch his score but he held me off...Great Game..
My Sons playing Shock Troopers 2 now on that Cab..

Then we played Heart Attack mode in OUTRUN 2..(gotta get a second copy/no two player split screen)

He likes it so it'll be played again....

Lately we've been playing Super Sidekicks 2 and Super Baseball 2020...a lot.

I had put Neo Geo Cup 98 in the Neo Gold with Super Sidekicks 2..
I hardly ever game Neo Geo Cup 98 any cab time nor ever play it...So it's a pretty much new to both of us though it's IMO very similar to Super Sidekicks 2..
We both love Super Sidekicks 2..but I like Neo Geo Cup 98 a bit more now.

I want to put in Super Sidekicks ..just to start on a game never played by either of us,just to see how that goes..

We played 7 games of Neo Geo Cup 98 in total..
I won the first two 8 minute (Battling) games of Neo Geo Cup 98 playing as the 2nd player......
Then we tied for the next two games ..He won the next three games so he's up one game..
Awesome going back and forth battles,trying to score....He's much better then me at Sports games but tonight I really gave him a battle..

When he comes back we are continuing our battle in Super Baseball 2020(Candy Cab)..But I also might try to take his win against me back in Neo Geo Cup 98.

We played through two of the TWO player missions..but then he reloaded(forgot to save) the game and screwed that all up..
We had a lot of fun but no progress was made etc..
