Oh yeah, I've also been spending heavy time with my pachinko machine, Nishijin Sophia series "Money / Crab Battle."

http://www.startoursinfo.com/junk/DP-pachinko01.jpg[

ALMOST totally restored. :)

Awesome!!pachinko machine!! :rocker:
What's needed to be totally restored..?

I'm into the pachinko machines.. Picks of my two in Collection- in sig ..

Cool! I need to get some Pachislo (Japanese slot) machines eventually .. like when I have more room. LOL Your pachinko machines look really nice, especially how you have the woodgrain one installed! My machine needed a lot of work but I really liked the style of the machine so I bought it anyway, honestly it was the first one I had seen at the flea market in a long time that had 98% of the mechanical parts so I dropped $25 and the adventure began. There are a few things I still need to do...

Have to replace the plexi since it has some rather large cracks and chips in it and cut a glass panel for the outer groove. I know I really don't need it but I think machines look better with it. I have to finish refurbishing the ball tray empty light switch as well as install new ball tray empty lamp socket since I broke the fourth one I bought. LOL This machine had ZERO wiring, not even the remnants of the fuseboard, but I was able to rebuild the electrical system from a schematic. Sand the outer frame I built once more, stain the outer frame (black, also going to restain the two black strips across the bottom of the machine to match). Need to pick up about 1000 more balls too so I won't have to open it as much, thinking of getting 500 more silver, 250 blue and 250 green to go with the oceanic theme of the machine. Also need to go around and make my tweaks and repairs a little more cleaner and efficient looking, which is what I've been doing this week.

I have a chronicle of the machine's restoration under Special - Pachinko at http://www.classicplastic.net/dvgi

Amazing that freaking pachinko balls end up costing as much if not more than restoring the machines.

Getting back on topic to this thread LOL I've been playing Gran Turismo 4 and messing around with Neo4All/AES on the Dreamcast - VERY impressive for an alpha release, no substitution for an AES but impressive just the same.

Awesome!! The 500 more silver, 250 blue and 250 green to go with the oceanic theme of the machine..Wull be Sweet!!
I want to try and keep up with your progress with this as I tip my hat to you as you've done so much great stuff to restore this machine..

Playing through:

PS2 - Devil May Cry 3

It's had it's tough parts, but generally the game isn't as ungodly hard as I thought it would be. Just owned the doppledanger boss without getting hit. I hadn't been using the Beowulf weapon too much, but after going through chapter 17 with it, I love it, delivers quite an ass whooping. I'm about to start up chapter 18, where I apparently get to fight every single boss again. Yay....

Xbox 360 - Call of Duty 2

Rented this one last night and am currently working my way through the Russian campaign. Some of the battles in this game get unbelievably intense when hordes of germans are charging your ass and your team is just getting shot to death one after the other. The multiplayer's pretty sweet but I really suck at it ;D.

Just two days ago I 96*'d Super Mario World. Quite easy.

Today I want to see how many games I can finish by the new year. I'm starting off with Final Fantasy Mystic Quest because that is my current game to beat. Since I'm going with my dad to this toy show (my dad collects and sells Pez, and found out there will be some there) about an hour, I think I might be able to finish Metroid Zero Mission during the ride (probably not 100%, I'm not that fast at Metroid games yet.) Once I finish Mystic Quest, I think I'll go to the original Metroid. Finally, I'll see how many Sonic games I can finish before the year is over.

Oh, and then after that I'm going to start playing Rome Total War on the PC. My friend let me borrow his disk for the game, and I played it a little, and I've found that maybe I can actually be OK at this startegy game!

I played through a few more games in my season with the Magic on Tecmo NBA Basketball, go NES, then I started up the dynasty mode in NBA Live 2004 with the Magic on my PS2. I really need to catch up on all the gaming I did this December. :)

I did eventually finish off Battle Arena Toshinden on Game Boy (thankfully), short of playing the game on hard and expert. I retired it to the beaten pile, hehe. Boxxle I've pretty not touched in weeks. I'll get back to that once the new semester starts. Since I got a SP for Christmas, I tried some other games on it just to see how they look, but I didn't play them enough to make them worth mentioning.

Also got a PC Engine Duo-RX for Christmas, and I've tried every game I was given, but the only games I stuck with and beat so far were Dynastic Hero and Dracula X (which I had already owned for awhile). Then I bought a couple more games for it myself and beat Detana!! TwinBee. I tried out Tengai Makyo II, but I'm really not in the mood for an RPG that slow-paced and old-fashioned at the moment. Also got Romancing SaGa 3 for Super Famicom with those two games, and I was very surprised to hear the Chrono Trigger sound effects used in the game. It seems cool, but I'm not in the mood to get into that game just yet either.

After beating TwinBee on PC Engine (which was pretty easy), my TwinBee craving wasn't quite satiated, so I pulled out Pop'n TwinBee for Super Famicom. I managed to beat it on difficulty 2 for the first time, which felt like a big accomplishment to me, haha. Sounds pathetic, I know, when the game has 8 difficulty levels and 4 is the default, but I'm no shooter expert and I swear this game is HARD. Harder on difficulty 2 than Detana!! TwinBee is on normal difficulty. I put it away for now, but next time I'll shoot for difficulty 3.

Last night I gave my Secret Santa present, Dark Cloud 2, a try, and I really like it so far. It reminds of a PS1 game, and that's a good thing. Except it's more complex than the typical PS1 RPG or adventure game, but it's also in a good way. Funny how the main character has the exact same voice as Lloyd in Tales of Symphonia, hehe.

That's about everything, besides briefly trying a game here and there.

For the last 2 days I have played nothing but our Nintendo DS that we got the kids for Christmas. Holy moly, I had no idea it would be this much fun! I wish I had bought this system a lot earlier now.

I thought playing over the Wi-Fi thing was going to be super complicated. I was prepared to read the manuals, find help online, reread the manuals, pull hair out, ect. In about 5 strokes of the stylus I was done. Whoa! That easy? Yes! Literally in 2 minutes I was already playing Mario Kart against some Japanese dude!

So, yeah, the kids and I have been taking turns racing peeps from all around the world the last 2 days. Win, lose..it doesn't matter much to us. The games always seem close and are always a blast. Nothing beats the feeling of saving the turbo mushroom for the final lap and propelling into victory at the precise time!

We're going to try Animal Crossing next and try visiting some other towns.

I rented Star Wars Battlefront 2 and I'm not liking it. I wasn't expecting the objective based missions and I'm not too fond of them. And in an effort to improve the gameplay they have made the environments to busy and it's easy to loose sight of an enemy that is relatively close to you. He sort of mixes in with the background graphics.

I just beat Castlevania on the GBA (the NES classic) and what shall I say? Back in those days I didn't like it, but this time it showed me just how good video games can be. It's simple and definitely not flawless but the gameplay is simply great. It seems impossible to beat at first, but then you begin to master every part of it and create strategies for everything, so you even finally beat Dracula without getting damaged.
I love this game!! ^^

I'm up to Chapter 4 in Valkyrie Profile now. I would be farther if not for the fact that I hate to waste periods, so I spent a bunch of time after finishing all the events of Chapter 3 just going in and out of Oddrock Caves beating all the monsters for experience. Then I sent up Llewelyn (the useless bastard that he is, haha), and now at the beginning of Chapter 4 I'm thinking I'll either send up Jelanda or Lawfer. Normally I would wait until the end of the chapter, but since I aim to get the best ending, I need to send up the character now before I do all the events that will make my Seal Value drop.

I think when I import the PSP port of the game, I'll try to level up as little as possible until I get a Bracelet of Zoe so I can try to max out each character's HP as high as possible.

Joker T,

I play the game on full setting with my p4 3.40Ghz, ati x1800xt, 3gb ram.

Yes it's a bit extreme but I run it on high and it plays like a charm

Today I played some:

Serious Sam II (PC)
Ridge Racer 6 (X360)
Ridge Racer V (PS2)
Sonic Gems Collection (GCN) Completed Sonic Fighters, Sonic R
Pac-Man World 3 (DS)
Tokobot (PSP)

I think I'm gonna play Goldeneye 64 for an hour before The Gauntlet comes on.
