Super Street Fighter IV (PS3) - Picked this up at launch but never sunk any time into it. Playing a few matches every night. Trying to reach 3000 with Ryu. Nothing spectacular...
Ys Seven (PSP) - Well, I was up until my girlfriend stepped on my PSP and destroyed the screen. I nearly started crying. Have ordered a replacement screen and will try to fix it myself. Anyone done this?
Dragon Quest IX (NDS) - Up until Ys Seven came out this was my favourite JRPG fix!

I still haven't picked a game to put some serious time into, and I probably won't do so now until my temp job is over and I'm on vacation. Then I'll probably let old Nintendo Power issues dictate my playing. :)
In the meantime, I've just been playing a little bit of some puzzle games. I played more TwinBee Taisen Puzzle Dama on my Japanese PlayStation 2, but this time I actually popped in a memory card and made a file. Not like it saves that much, though. Seems like later Taisen Puzzle Dama games have more in the way of unlockables. I also played some Wetrix on Nintendo 64, screwing around with the various modes. I didn't bother digging out my memory card to compare with how I did in the past, but I got 3 million-some in Classic mode.

I've never got deep into Nes games like I wished atleast when games really mattered to me most..i spent more time collecting then playing.
...Played lots of Mega Mans when I was younger but never finished anything that i can remember...I think I've played more Genisis stuff further and SNES then anything,...even Neo Geo MVS..
But then again when I lived with my Mom and step dad,My Step dad loved the NES and we'd play alot..
Then we got into the Saturn and Playstation later>.Tomb Raider,Resident Evil..those were good times....
I've never finished Super Mario 2 or 3 on the NES either..:embarrassed:..It's Sad...(my wife has finished all three ..

I had totally forgot about this. I have about 200-300 NES games in original boxes in a storage closet.
They all have stickers stuck on them from vidieo game stores from all over the USA. Almost no original instruction manuals, but lots of "Quick Start" Instructions.
It will take me a year or 2 to play them all if I try.
PS: I do hve a box filled with Misc. Original manuals,,,, Mostly 2600 and NES.
It is fun to read them when I am feeling a bit nostalgic.
So what am I playing right now?????

Bloodrayne 2-XBOX
Persona 3 is very addicting and has been the only game I've been constantly playing. However I'm taking a break from it, since I ran into a boss that couldn't beat. Also I'll have to grind to level up Yukari, who I haven't had in my party since Mitsuri was playable.
Well I finally played the sequel to Bloodrayne all these years later. I remember loving the original, back when I was in high school. I saw ads and read a review for Bloodrayne 2, and it seemed really awesome. Though for whatever reason I never picked it up.

Streets of Rage 2 on my Sega Nomad.
I just finished beating Bloody Wolf for the TG-16. My god that last boss is absolutely ridiculous, tough as nails, and has no real set pattern. It took me about three hours to finally defeat him. The ending was hilarious. Which is fortuante since if there was some lame generic ending I would've flipped out.
Stopped playing DS Puzzle Quest for DS Playmobil Pirates. Strange? Maybe, but it's better than you'd think. It's a kid-oriented platformer, but some parts will challenge even the veteran gamer. You can buy/outfit/upgrade boats, sail to different islands across a sizable world, & there are a bunch of minigames to wager on, including 21, air hockey, Bejeweled, Kaboom, & Battleship derivatives. (These can even be played from the main menu). IIRC there are 70+ missions. Good time-killer at work- fully satisfied w/ this purchase! I hope Playmobil Knights is similar, it's next on my play pile.
& Im still trying to get 200K on my new coin-op Xevious. Once I do, I'll set it to Hard mode & go for the Twin Galaxies Top 10.

I've been on vacation for awhile now, and I've gotten some great gaming in. I've mostly been playing NES and SNES, although I did play a tiny bit of Wave Race 64 and I got a bunch of other Nintendo 64 games to try out once I finish cleaning them.
On NES, I dabbled in a bunch of stuff, not really intending to beat them but still get farther than I ever had before, like in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, Rad Racer 2, Captain Skyhawk, and Vice: Project Doom. I did, however, beat Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Gun-Nac.
For the former, all I really have to say is fuck Judge Doom, seriously. And the same to Rare for making such a bullshit game. Few things are more frustrating in game playing than moderately enjoying a game for the majority of it and then having to deal with a horrible final sequence that sours your whole opinion of the game. And I'm not talking endings because I don't care how lame an ending is. I mean the final boss/dungeon/whatever. I hate when that final sequence brings out and amplifies every flaw in the game that could've been mostly ignored prior. The final battle against Judge Doom was unlike anything else in the game, and it was just all around dumb. I mean, you get all these weapons in the game, which are useless for the rest of the game because there's almost no combat, and then when you have to fight Judge Doom and it would've been perfect to throw everything but the kitchen sink at him, only two weapons work at all and they barely inflict damage. So you're stuck using the completely broken fisticuffs system, and if you do it in the normal manner, it'll take a freakin' hour of constantly button mashing to whittle his bar down (and you'll likely die before that happens). The only way to reasonably beat him to take advantage of the, again, broken system, using a trick that I don't know if it's a glitch or what.
And then, after dealing with that atrocity of a battle, you have to fight him again with the Dip Cannon, and no matter how much life you have to start with, one hit will kill you. Unfortunately, it took me several attempts to realize that 1) he'll never get up until after you get off the truck and 2) you have to HOLD the button when firing. I thought I was being too slow or something, but it turned out my problem was that I was mashing the button to fire instead of holding for a continuous stream. 'Cause, you know, the game didn't exactly make it easy to figure that out when I'd DIE INSTANTLY. Blargh. I somewhat cheated in that after beating the first form several times, I got sick of that BS and had my fiance do it for me since the trick takes flawless rhythm, and being a musician, he's better at that than me. But even if I did it in pieces, I still did everything myself and was only saying time.
Phew, that was a long rant. As for Gun-Nac, that made up for everything. What a thoroughly awesome little shooter. It doesn't beat Dragon Spirit for me, but it's definitely up there as one of the NES's best shmups.
On Super Nintendo, I played some Tetris Attack and beat the versus CPU story mode for the first time. I didn't know until I saw the credits that it was a Gunpei Yokoi project. I actually felt a little choked up after the credits were over. Something about the music and image of Yoshi running along the rainbow felt very sweet and melancholic to me. It just felt symbolic somehow. If someone was to make a video tribute to Gunpei, I think it would be the perfect ending.
I'm currently in the middle of Road Runner's Death Valley Rally and Harvest Moon. I'm playing the former with its Nintendo Power coverage, but it's kind of annoying me. It's an okay game, but it's pretty soulless and imprecise. You can see in it the exact point in time in which platformers went from the reigning king of gaming to "eh, there are better things to play". So that's a bit on the back-burner as I started up Harvest Moon, a game I killed as a teenager but haven't touched since. For the last year or so I've had a hankering to play a Harvest Moon game and almost went with A Wonderful Life, but after seeing all the hate for it, I went with the original. I'm pretty certain I married every girl but Maria in the past, so that who I went with this time. There's this awesome FAQ that is totally revolutionizing how I play, since I'm learning all this stuff that's a waste of time or takes advantage of certain aspects. I'm getting a feel for the numbers behind the game and am previewing my ending a lot with the code, and I'm going to shoot for a perfect ranch master score (minus the glitched out totals).

I'm still plugging away at Harvest Moon on Super Nintendo, which is slow going because I'm growing so many dang potatoes this second spring, haha. I only have a couple days until summer, and Maria just got pregnant.
I also tried out all of the Nintendo 64 games I recently bought: Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Tooie, Perfect Dark, Super Mario 64, Toy Story 2, LEGO Racers, The Powerpuff Girls: Chemical X-Traction, and South Park. Those last four I was trying out for the first time. Toy Story 2 wouldn't be terrible if the frame rate wasn't such a disaster, and LEGO Racers was fairly fun, although the music is atrocious and, I swear, every sound effect sounds like a wet fart, haha. I couldn't stop laughing at them. I was saving South Park for last because I expected it to be the crappiest, but I think it was actually more playable than The Powerpuff Girls. That's the kind of game that just makes you angry. It's as if they stopped work after they got the girls looking good and the theme song in there (the ONLY damn song in the game). I know South Park was definitely a rush job, but at least it had something resembling gameplay, even if it's extremely dull and vacuous. Heck, it didn't even make me feel disoriented and yucky, like FPSs tend to do.

I'm near the end of the second summer in Harvest Moon on Super Nintendo now. The glitched display of crop totals greater than 999 is really messing with me. I have no idea how many potatoes I shipped, but I was more careful with tomatoes and I believe I hit 1023. From what I can tell, it seems like the game attempts to display the numbers as hexadecimal. At 1023, it looks like the "10" is being displayed as a half cut off "A". With the way it's cut off, though, I can't tell if the potatoes amount has a "B", "E", or "F". I think I'm close to hitting 1023 with corn too, so maybe I'll "retire" in my third summer. I already have more than enough cash to get 100% land development with enough left over to get full points for my money total. I think I'd rather spend most of my last crop-growing seasons managing my livestock since I'm losing patience with the repulsive slowdown that results from a full barn of cows.

Last night I tried a bit of two football games on the GameCube. One was NFL 2K3...is it just me or is it practically impossible to set playks in that game? You have to use the left stick and push up to do that but it doesn't want to go up high enough. Then I tried a bit of Madden NFL 08 but by the time I put it in, it was too late and I was just too tired to devote much time to it.
Other than that, most of my gaming time the last few days have been devoted to Major League Baseball 2K10 on the DS. My game has frozen up about 4 times, though, on the last play of the game just as the last out has been recorded.

Played the demo of Star Wars Force Unleashed 2.
The storyline that was shown was very good, graphics were amazing, and then once you get to the gameplay you immediately know the game is terrible, just like the first. I played the game in hard mode and finished it fairly easy. A barely charged force push would kill any normal stormtrooper, your lightsaber attacks were once again fairly weak and rather than using a light saber in the large groups you might as well use your force powers.
Other than that, the game pretty much had the exact same problems as the first. You would sit there doing the same attacks repeatedly. There was no reason to use any of the other combos as they were essentially useless. Just like on the first where you would knock an enemy or groups of enemies in the air and they'd float there for a couple seconds, your character took a few seconds to respond after finishing whatever attack, so the enemies would start to fall before you could take another action. No reason to really jump in the air and continue with an air combo, might as well do a ground combo that they fall into or do an overpowered use of the force.
Yet another shitty next gen game with amazing graphics.

Started a new character in normal. I've played through the game four times already, but it's easiliy one of the best RPGs out there and best of the SMT series. Hitoshura is going to be a physical build this time around. I finished off Harvest Moon on Super Nintendo with a "perfect" score of 994. It would be satisfying to see 999, but no way am I going to put that much effort into working around the game's failed programming. I encountered a couple weird glitches along the way, and I never got a single hurricane. It was a pretty bizarre playthrough this time, but I did have a lot of fun.
Then I blew through a replay of Tail Concerto on PlayStation. It took me about 5 and a half hours like usual, and I did almost all of that in one evening. Besides just the fact that I love the game and am always up for a go at it, I wanted to do a replay in preparation for Solatorobo for DS. I've actually had it since Thursday and adore the Collector's Edition packaging, but I'm getting pretty frustrated because I can't play it. I loaded it up to the title screen, but that's it. I have a DSi XL, which has regional lockout, and I'm still dealing with my broken DS Lite. I kinda dragged my feet about buying a replacement bottom LCD screen, but it really should have arrived by now. And even with it, there's no guarantee that the screwed up graphics isn't caused by the system itself, rather than the screen. So right now I'm crossing my fingers and whining about only being able to stare at the game. :P
In the meantime, I tried to get back into Road Runner's Death Valley Rally on Super Nintendo, but I don't know if I can stick with it. The more I play it, the more I dislike it, and it's really becoming chore-like. I already got fed up with it not having saves, passwords, or continues, so as it is, I started cheating with the 75 life code. But even that can't save it. I hate bashing the game because it's not like it's an incompetently programmed game, and some things are pretty promising like the graphics and speed. It's just a victim of a failed concept. The controls are fitting for the Road Runner, but that doesn't make it not frustrating to manage. The character really should never have been in a platformer in the first place. They should've done a racer. He goes too fast when you need to jump precisely, too slow when you need him to ascend a slope, and the whole game is basically nothing but trying to land on platforms or avoid enemies that you can't even see until it's too late. Maybe if the whole picture was zoomed out it would work better, but then the graphics would be lame (and even though the graphics are good, they are also horribly repetitive). Add in how lacking the level designs and music are and you got a pretty unpleasant, disappointing package.
Settled in to play Conker's Bad Fur Day on the Xbox. It's amazing how much easier the game is when played with a dual-sticked controller rather than the N64 controller. Parts that were difficult on the N64 are cake on the Xbox. The graphic upgrade is insane. I wish Rare would get it together and return to the high caliber games that they used to create. Everything they did was gold. I miss them.

Playing Sonic 4: Episode I, Wiiware. Love the music. The gameplay takes a lil getting used to but I like the lock-on attack. Just wish the reticule wasn't so huge and obvious, like maybe if the enemy just glowed a bit or something. The big red TARGET is a bit overstated.
Also finishing up Super Metroid, Virtual Console.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Wii)
I eagerly bought this game months ago when the Gamestop here FINALLY had a copy for sale. I spent months waiting for the game to show up somewhere that was NOT 60 miles away!
I put the game down for the last couple of months because I got to the part in the cemetery and I could not for the life of me figure out the puzzle required to get the other Ghostbusters in the cemetery. I just happened to get lucky and figure out the pattern needed. After that it was smooth sailing. I made it to Shandor before shutting it off.
I have one observation: could the save icon be any MORE subtle? I worry about shutting off the game sometimes!

I didn't get a chance to post this last night, but I FINALLY beat Ghostbusters: The Video Game for Wii. The final boss is something else!
For the record, I did not collect all of the scans and art pages. I am at a little over 50% each. I do not consider them part of beating the game. As far as I am concerned, I beat the final boss so I beat the game!
I guess now I need to dust off A Boy and His Blob for the Wii and try to finish it....or maybe Ninja Gaiden (NES) on the Virtual Console. (I am stuck on stage 6-2...got to 6-3 ONCE...watching AVGN get creamed by the boss only to go back to 6-1 is a bit disheartening, though!)

Finished Broken Sword on the Wii tonite...loved it. I'd like to see more of these point and click games on the Wii. I think I'll either settle in to Nights Journey Into Dreams or one of the Final Fantasy Wii games next.
