Hmm, I've always wanted to play it despite the bad news. I'd do it, and I'm pretty stingy.
Me? I'm not playing this, but this is fascinating (also very gross and lol, as the game lives up to its abbreviated title)

Well, if you really lower your expectations about what makes a game fun on even the most basic of levels, then you might enjoy it for about 10 minutes. The visuals are crap (you've seen better Game & Watch visuals), the 2-player mode is kinda misleading (and limited) and all that you're really doing is running back and forth on a single screen, shooting at boring monsters ad-nauseum until the boss appears. You also roll occasionally. I played it for about an hour (to get my $3 worth), traded it into Gamestop and received a whole .25 for it!!

I stayed at a friend's house for the weekend, so in between all the hanging out, I completed the Eureka area in Final Fantasy III. Not that there was really anything to "beat". It's just a matter of getting to the bottom where a few people are selling some of the best items in the game. Now I'm all set to tackle the rest of the Crystal Tower and beat the game.
Other than that, I've been playing a lot of King of Fighters via emulation (I own most of these games, but I'm on vacation and I'm not about to pack a 2-slot with me :P ). I played a little of every MVS release, including the Quiz game (well, I tried to play that one, hehe). I played everything on easy since I still stink at fighting games, and I beat '97 and 2000. For the most part, I only played up until I had to continue, so I got through those without losing at all. I also played both '95 and '96 on Game Boy, beating both on Easy, and then I played all of the Neo Geo Pocket Color games, doing a bit better in Battle de Paradise than its older board game counterpart.

I've been on a Game Boy/Game Boy Color kick lately with the Game Boy Player!
Project S-11 - Probably the best Game Boy shooter game since Nemesis.
Gremlins 2: The New Batch - This game was hyped heavily in Nintendo Power, and I've always wanted to try it. It's a good platformer, despite the simple graphics.
Heikanyo Alien - Still can't figure it out, but I'll give it another shot.
Ducktales - Still one of my favorite games, even on the Game Boy.
Power Quest - I can tell already this is a Pokemon derivative combined with a 2D fighter.
Qix - I got to Stage 10, and I was never able to do that on the arcade and Taito Legends 2 versions. It was worth it to see Mario playing guitar while wearing a sombrero.

Heikanyo Alien - Still can't figure it out, but I'll give it another shot.
What's giving you trouble? Are you playing the old mode or the updated version? The old version isn't really much fun, if you ask me. All you gotta do in the game is dig holes with one button and fill holes with the other. Try to use the landscape in such a way that you're protected from the aliens with your holes, and when an alien falls in one, bury it alive quickly to kill it. If another alien touches it in the hole, it'll pop out right away, though, so you have to be careful.
Anyway, as for my own playing, I had a REALLY close call in Final Fantasy III on DS. I'm working my way up that huge Crystal Tower, and whenever I get somewhat close to a level up, I switch my characters to Black Belts in order to get a better HP increase. Well, that puts me in a weakened state, and I get into a random battle with the toughest enemy in the area, the Yellow Dragon. I thought I could take him, but eventually I ended up with three people dead, and my last guy couldn't survive another attack. It was either attack and pray I do enough damage to kill the dragon, or attempt to run away and possibly fail. Somehow I lucked out and finished him off right before certain death. So I continued along climbing higher in the tower, but I still haven't reached anything notable yet.
Played a bit more King of Fighters too. I beat '98 on beginner using random characters, and I played some XI.

Gears of War - literally put it in the 360 for about 20 minutes, as I never was able to beat RAAM at the end of the game. Earlier today I was thinking, I need to go back and finish that game. I've tried 100's of times and got killed every time, but tonight I just kept it simple, just kept firing, and on about the 10th try I killed him. Then watched the credits and jammed to the Rap song during the credits.
So, 20 minutes later and I'm now done with GoW.
I'm currently trying to finish Yakuza, since I found out it no longer has compatibility issues with the 80gig P3 and the sequel will be out in a few months.
I'm also playing System Shock 2, although I suck horribly at it and I've barely made any progress at all. I'm also playing the ever so horrible Ring: Terror's Realm for Dreamcast, it has to be the dullest game I've ever played.
Edit: God damnit Yakuza just froze, I guess it doesn't surprise me that the compatibility list isn't 100% accurate.

It's mildy entertaining at first (and this was back in 2000)... but then it's true colors will show. There is one unintentionally hilarious scene towards the end of the game that had me in tears! I don't know if you'll play that far, though.
Anyways, just finished "Baldur's Gate: DA2" (Xbox). A fun way to spend 20 hours, but the wide-open-for-a-sequel-ending is disappointing because, since Black Isle studios no longer exists, the chances for a third DA game happening are pretty small.
Now I've started playing through "Silent Bomber" (PS1). This is the very definition of old-school "just one more level" gaming. Everything blows up real good... and that's all that I ask for out of life. Spent about 1 hour playing through 6 missions and will return tomorrow.

I think I accidentally passed a point of no return in Final Fantasy III on DS, which I didn't want to do without saving everything I did before that point. Unless I find some way to get out, I hope I can beat the rest of the game without dying because I really don't want to have to explore that huge tower practically from scratch all over again. Thankfully the quicksave option allows me to not have to do it all in one sitting, but a game over would really screw me.
I also played more King of Fighters 2001 and 2003 via MVS emulation and some more XI on PlayStation 2. Oh, and I emulated the two GBA games, but I'd kind of like to forget about that. x_x

Ugh, well, I got a Game Over in Final Fantasy III on DS, just what I was hoping against in my last post. What a waste of time, both all those hours of exploring and leveling up and all the time it'll take to climb back up there. I welcome challenge, but this is just tedious busywork. I was relatively enjoying the game up to this point, but this bit of bad design is gonna make it a chore to beat the game.
Other than that, I've been dabbling into some of the more obscure fighters on MVS. Via emulation, I played Aggressors of Dark Kombat, Breakers, Breakers Revenge, Double Dragon, Fight Fever, Galaxy Fight, Kabuki Klash, and Karnov's Revenge. Some real stinkers in that bunch, but a few were fun.
