Been playing soooooooo much GTA: SA. This game is just gonna take me forever. Finally did all the sidequests in San Fierro pretty much (including all gold in driving school, PAIN) and have unlocked the desert portion of the map. After that, it's the city in the northeast, Las Venturas, then I move on to the end of the game.

Also been playing many MANY other things in between:

Metal Gear Solid (God, I usually do great at stealth games but blow at this one)
La Pucelle: Tactics
Metroid Prime 2
Mario Party 5
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne

PS2 - GTA: SA....got through the flying mission and moved on to las venturas. They did a nice job making it look like las vegas, I just bought the treasure island hotel and am hunting down the horseshoes....got like 15 more to go.

PSX - Metal Gear Solid...finally sat down and started playing this. Didn't go too far, beat revolver ocelot and saved at the cargo door with all the lasers.

....I got up early on Christmas morning (5 am) and had the strange urge to create a new character and start playing FFXI online again. (I had quit back in July)

Played More Sprung (almost at the end of the girl scenario).

Also played some Colecovision: Mr. DO!, Mr. DO!'s Castle, Q*Bert, and Q*Bert's Qubes. Q*Bert's Qubes is sweet, much better than the 2600 version. Mr. DO! and Q*Bert both play great versions. Still need to play some more Mr. DO'S Castle, never quite got the hang of that game...

Tried out a few games, but the only ones I spent a good amount of time on were Adventure and the arcade version of Centipede.

Gamecube:

-4x4 Evo 2

I've changed my original goal of completing every race in the game to completing every race I can. Why? I've found a flaw that makes the game impossible to complete. I've given a Toyota RAV4, which is one of the least powerful cars in the game, almost every mechanical upgrade possible, and I still can't make it up the bigger and steeper hills!

4x4 Evo 2 could have been a great game, but Terminal Reality half-assed a little too much. It's not an awful game but it has a lot of flaws. First off, being limited to four trucks in the garage is pretty bad. The whole team thing is useless - you have to race trucks by different manufacturers if you want to get far in the game, yet you get kicked off your team if you're not racing in a vehicle by their preferred manfacturer. And if you want to buy a certain race truck you have to join the team which prefers the manufacturer of that vehicle. Also, there are some tracks I only raced on once or twice that were really fun. I wished I could see those more often instead of the same long and boring desert tracks that I had to race in almost every tournament.

Then the AI of the computer racers has its share of the problems - there are a few tracks where you might not have to worry about other racers because everyone else crashed into some ruins or something and got stuck. And then there's that problem I had with the RAV4. The other things I mentioned are somewhat forgiveable, but the fact that you can't get through every race with every truck, no matter how much customization and upgrades you give that truck, is intolerable. That ticks me off.

I hope that there's another game like 4x4 Evo 2 released someday that turns out to be everything this game wanted to be, and much better - the definitive 4x4 truck racing game. The true Gran Turismo for trucks.

Played two missions in GTA SA....but my Sons pretty much hooked on this game so he gets first dibs..,
Besides him playing HALO,..HALO 2,..PICO...V SMILE,..NES and NEO GEO MVS ...
All my son really does in GTA SA is:
Drive from one side of the map to the other/swim/use boats/airplanes/helicopters/motorcycles/Trains/eats,..finds the eating locations..finds the jump spots and jumps over and over.
He's got the map pretty down packed..If I tell him to go somewhere on the map he does.
He also knows correct driving laws,Red lights,right side etc..and he can park in-between two lines better then I can.
I keep the volume low so he doesn't hear the cursing much too.....But he understands what's the difference.(He's 3)

Anyway...
Since I really don't want to take away from his play time since it's when I play I'm going out Thursday and buying another copy of GTA SA..
This way we both can play the game..at the same time.

Tonight though,he didn't play GTA SA...and I played Halo 2...go figure..

I have too many games to get started on,I'm just not ready to start them..Being sick I'm playing here and there.
When I start a new game I want to be 100%..This way I can focus on the game and not feeling like crap.. x_x
