Anyways. Guadia Quest has finally been released! With delay after delay, I've been waiting over a year for it to come out(not really, but on Retro Game Challenge I have.) While Haggleman and Haggleman 2 have definitely been my favorites so far, this is the game I've been waiting for.

If only I knew how awesome Retro Game Challenge was before, I would have set aside the current games I was playing to play this when everyone else was.

Well. I'll be doing the Guadia Quest challenges.

I spent most of my gaming time with Bump 'n' Jump. I broke my old high score record - 139,970 points - with a new record of 149,180. Later on, I broke that record again, finishing with 192,070.

Still playing Retro Game Challenge. Finished the Galaga game, Haggle Man, Rally King, Star Prince, and Rally King SP(I had to use the left/start cheat to continue on the loop on Star Prince, or atleast did so so I didn't have to completely restart again since it's just like every other shmup of that type in the world.)

Aside from Guadia Quest, the Haggle Man series has definitely been my favorites.

I haven't had much time to play games the last few days, so I'm still in Halgita in Infinite Undiscovery for 360. I did, however, complete the story events, found all the private events, and did a TON of item creation. I think I must've even maxed out Eugene's IC level since I got an achievement. I blew through all 100,000 Fol I got from the queen, haha. I'll have to max out Edward when I get him back too. I just wish I could make more weapons with Eugene, but without access to wood, I can't make squat. I have a feeling that Square Enix may have planned to do a downloadable voucher for wood since they did so for metals and cloths/hides, and you have no ability to buy certain woods at all past a certain point in the game, I've heard. Then you're stuck attempting to find an enemy that drops what you want, which is a royal pain. I'm casually buying a bit of what's available, but soon I really should just buy 99 of every wood.

I also blew through the rest of ActRaiser via SNES emulation, which I mentioned I played a little of awhile ago. It was nice giving the game a replay.

Sonic Heroes on GameCube is making me very angry. I'm talking AVGN angry. I am almost done with Team Dark, finally only needing to complete one level and one boss stage before I can just go ahead and play as Team Rose and Team Chaotix which are supposed to be much easier.

I wonder if the play control would have seemed easier on PS2 or Xbox. Probably not though because it's the same mechanics and probably just as buggy.

Dragon Warrior II on NES has been my escape from the Sonic Heroes madness lately as I video tape my entire gameplay. I have finally made it to Tantagel via the ship so I am making more progress there.

Bioshock on 360. Finally. This game was one of the reasons I bought a 360 a year and a half ago. I've been putting off playing it because I didn't want it to be over (I have a strange tendency to do that). So far it has really been worth the wait. The atmosphere in this game is some of the best I've encountered, and I really like all of the scavenging. It almost feels like an underwater expansion to Fallout 3 or something. I dig it!

Playing Donkey Kong 64 with my girlfriend for the last 3 days. It's pretty good. The only thing is the direction buttons on the 64 controller have like 12 uses. Each normal. Each while holding Z and each with the button next to it. Fudge! Also it gets very collect oriented. But it is good.

Started playing Prinny Can I Really Be the Hero again. Finishing off the last few areas after quitting awhile ago. Up to the last boss and I've died about ten times, my arm hurts like hell. Currently the boss is at half health but I'm taking a break.

The bosses attacks aren't that hard to dodge. It's having to press the attack button fairly quickly because he has nothing to break his defenses and you have to finish him in three minutes, while dodging his attacks. Think of it as playing the Chrono Trigger drinking contest with just as much break in between as talking to the one guy and doing it about 30 times.

Gundam Battle Universe. Half the game is through Zeon, Federation, AEUG, Titans, Axis, Neo Zeon, and the other half is through the others. This will be the third time I went through the game to completely get all missions for the other factions S or SS rank.

Now that I completely finished Gundam Battle Universe I can move to Macross Ace Frontier.

I honestly don't know why I wait for big name import titles to drop price when they never do for years, then pick them up a year later for the exact same price as I would when they just came out. Makes me wonder if I should just wait to buy Demon's Souls as well or just buy it right now.

Macross Ace Frontier is a fairly good, unfortunately the control is a little bit stiff. Controlling the fighter if you switch into it at the wrong time is terrible because of how the control works. Overall it still plays similar to the Gundam Battle games just not as good.

Because I also want to play something besides Macross Ace Frontier as it'll probably take me awhile I started up a character on Lufia 2. Haven't played the game in such a long time. Still love the game. Definitely one of the best SNES titles out there.

Yesterday:

Bit.Trip Beat - WiiWare
The first WiiWare game I've ever bought! And I really enjoy it. I love rhythm games and synaesthetic type games. Its rock hard though but deserves to be played with the volume up. Anyway, this got me back into playing the Wii which I've neglected for ages. So I followed up with:

Ghost Squad - Wii
First time using the HotD hand cannon and I really enjoy this game. Went through it twice this time.

The House Of The Dead: Overkill - Wii
Tried and failed at Director's Cut then tried the story mode again and didn't enjoy it until I got the shotgun and then the game became hugely fun and I finished story mode for a second time. Really enjoying the Wii gaming again!

Wii download demos for the DS
And to top it off I went on the wii-internet and downloaded a few demos to my DS! Rhythm Paradise was just as excellent as the GBA game and I want it! 101 Classic Books was interesting but I prefer bigger pages. And Gardening Mama was really good fun - I could buy that too!

-----------------------------------

Today:

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved - XBLA
So, my friend sent me a text this weekend saying he broke my highscore... by only 15k points. So I had to try and reclaim it. But no luck, best effort was 365k, just over half the score I need!

OutRun Online Arcade - XBLA
Since downloading this, it hurt my hand and I stopped playing videogames for a few weeks but now I'm back so gave it just the one go again, on 15-stage continuous. If I had a 2nd go I think I would have hurt my hand again. However, as it was, I almost completed it for the first time, on the later stages I should just brake drift as I'm not quite used to manual gears yet.

Bit.Trip Beat - WiiWare
Great fun again. Couldn't complete the first level but on the 2nd level got further than I have before although kept dying when I missed the 2-paddle power-up.
