Fire Emblem, GBA... Didnt think I would like it after a few of my party members died on the first chapter, but since then I have gotten way into it. I've even went to bed early to play it cause I'm starting to get addicted, lol... I think I'm on chapter 7, and have only lost one party member a few chapters ago. Pretty cool game, REAL in depth (still dont know 75% of whats going on tho)

I'm still playing College Hoops 2k6 on the Playstation 2. I'm still in my 2nd season of legacy mode, and I am currently 2nd in my conference with a 9-9 record, 5-3 within the conference. I've been going through a few pasties in the last few games; stronger challengers lay ahead on the schedule though.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith (DS)
After a break of many months finally went back and did the last few levels with Obi-Wan so finally completed the game. This just leaves Polarium (argh!) and Lost In Blue (not bothered anymore) to mean I've completed all my DS games

Sonic Pinball Party - GBA
The usual failure at getting through all the zones and a coupla quick blasts on the other features

KuruKuru Kururin - GBA
Its been a long time since I played this and it showed because I tried to use the R button move from the sequal which would've made things so much easier, but less pure. Anyway, this game managed to rank in the top 10 of my list to that Top25 DP games thing and when I was playing it I was trying to get a perfect on all the levels. I managed to succeed in 2 more today leaving only 6 to go (though these are going to be tough, spent upto an hour on one of them and so nearly cracked it, argh!)

Headhunter - Dreamcast
Started this, my DC kept resetting but finally got going. Quite enjoying it so far. I think i'm roughly half way as I just have to get the A license now, although am not on disc2 yet. I've heard it being compared to Metal Gear Solid a lot, and yes, I can see similarities but MGS is in a completely different class.

...my DC kept resetting but finally got going. Quite enjoying it so far.

Open up your DC, remove and reseat the power supply. The reason this happens is due to how the Dreamcast is designed. There are a number of prongs that stick up through the power supply from the motherboard, over time a bad connection here can develop. I've had this come up in DC's that have been taken perfect care of, it's just one of those little quirks of DC design.

Saturn - Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation (Japanese) - been playing with the pachinko handle controller and deciphering the basis of the menus, machine names, etc. for an eventual rough translation guide. Seems the only games compatible with the pachinko handle controller are the four "Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation" games - there are also volumes 1, 2, and 3. I'm guessing that the one I have was some kind of pack-in with the controller, I've seen one of the PS1 Sankyo controllers and it's bundled with a game in the box. It has a thicker than usual jewel case, hmm.... Anyway, I'll post something in import mania eventually to work out more information.

I haven't posted in this topic in awhile, but then, with school starting up again and my new job, I haven't had a whole lot of time for gaming lately.

Anyway, I've been playing Legend of the River King GBC at school to kill some time on breaks. I'm up to the fourth (and final) area, but I have a lot of fishing to do before I'll be able to attempt to catch the Guardian.

I've also got back into Boxxle, which I was playing last semester. So far, I've only managed to beat a couple levels this semester, but I've barely put any time into it recently anyway. It still hurts my brain like always. :P

At home I'm still playing Valkyrie Profile. I'm in Chapter 7 now in the Tombs of Amenti. I got the special scene at the end of Chapter 6 with Lucian, so I should be good to go for the best ending. :)

I also was trying out some PlayStation Square games last night that just arrived from eBay: Saga Frontier, Final Fantasy Tactics, Brave Fencer Musashi, and the Final Fantasy VIII demo that came with Musashi. Saga Frontier was the only game that I don't already own. But since I just got a second Saga Frontier today, which is in better condition, I'll be selling all three. I actually got the second Saga Frontier in a large lot of PlayStation stuff, so I have a bunch of games waiting to be tested that I don't have the time for at the moment.

Cool Cool Toon - Dreamcast
So this finally arrived in the post today so I'd thought I'd give it a go - and it turned out to be a long go. Played right up to the last stage with the guy character. Its gets seriously hard at episode 4, and half of episode 5 is really tough also, the other half strangely easy, or maybe I just got into the flow of those songs. Stuck on the 2nd song on episode 6 which seems pretty impossible, its the stupid too many dots on screen and using the same ones over but not consequetively (sic badly). Its a pretty fun game though I do not like the bright cartoony graphics, dont understand a word of the story (JPN import) and the synthesizer sound really annoys me.

Playing=Land Of The Undead..(Lights Out~Headphones)..Man this game is scary..Scary because the main character is just and average joe..When the Zombies trap or chase you it's rough....Being an older gamer the Night of the Living Dead movies come into view...

The Corn fields was a very nice touch..Spooky as heck..Zombies come popping out of anywhere

Game has some problems so far though..
Glitches..
If a sequence doesn't load right,a part in the game that needs to open for you to progress won't//Leaving you to wander aimlessly until you reload the last save.
Happen to me three times so far.
This happens with loading between levels too..If don't walk far enough into a loading next level the game will stay stuck on a constant loading screen playing the hints screens over and over.
After 2 minutes of loading something's not right.

So far I'm getting my ass kicked in the game..

Saturn - Sky Target (JPN) ..a damn shame this great game has eluded being remade or thrown in any compilations. It's like AfterBurner on steroids. I mean the Saturn port is alright but graphically it's way behind the arcade version. I'll also be honest that this was the whole reason I learned how to region mod Saturns.

I like the level itself it was just to hard ,...and for this not trained sniper ...Farmer..

This game has got much harder...The Zombies really start to come in more numbers..They are getting tough,Heart beating moments stuck in a corner trying to stay alive..
My wrists actually hurt from tonights play..

I spent most of my Saturday night and early Sunday morning playing my Genesis. Here's what I played:

Genesis:
-Fire Shark
This is quickly becoming my favorite Genesis shmup.
-Joshua & The Battle Of Jericho
This is actually not that bad, since Wisdom Tree was wise (pun intended, heh) enough to make a hack of the puzzler Crystal Mines (which was originally released back when they were Color Dreams). Gets pretty tough early on though. I had heard that the game wouldn't play on a Genesis 2, but it worked fine on mine.
-Outrun
-Championship Pro-Am
-Virtua Racing
-Hellfire
-Virtual Pinball
I'm really liking this one. I have a feeling I'm going to spend quite some time making some custom tables.

So yesterday I said I was dissapointed and was glad there was another story mode, well it turns out this 2nd story mode is only about 5 games long and the games are the same as some old ones but easier. Anyway, it took me ages to finish area 1, and then I couldn't complete that card game in between. Currently stuck on area 2 and no idea what to do / where to go. I really want to finish it because the bonus game for level 2 is 4 players and is meant to be really fun. I do hope someday they finish this because graphically, it is amazing. The music is really good too. As for gameplay, well, apart from me getting stuck, and the jump animation being a bit funny, its solid, and i like the adventuring aspects. Oh yeah, this game is a platform adventurer.

Then the following Dreamcast games:
Ikaruga
Capcom vs SNK 2
Street Fighter III

Spent a good portion of this past weekend, snowed in, playing Bangai-O!, Cannon Spike, and Power Stone 2 Adventure Mode on my DC.

It's been so long since I've played Power Stone 2, I forgot how to beat the final boss and kept getting my ass kicked at the very end.

I've been sick with a bad cold this weekend (and snowed in), so I've just been in bed almost the whole time playing my SP and watching the Olympics. I could've played more Valkyrie Profile, but I didn't feel well enough to get involved in any console gaming. Instead, I just laid back and made a lot of progress in Boxxle and Legend of the River King. :)

In Boxxle, I FINALLY solved a level that had me stumped since the last semester of school, and after solving a few other levels, I finally got out of area 5. :) I then proceeded to beat a few levels in area 6 as well.

I played a ton of River King, and I managed to beat it over the weekend. I'm not about to retire it just yet, though. I need to catch at least one of every fish to unlock the bonus area, and there are plenty of fish that I haven't caught a "BIG" one yet. I think I have managed to earn enough money to buy everything in the game, though (but I never bother to use the casting rods or do any lure fishing).

Neppachi II - Dreamcast
I've never encountered a Pachinko machine before so this simulation is the closest I've got. Was initially dissapointed that there is only one board on there and 4 choices of music (which get drowned out anyway). Surprisingly I sat on this for quite a while, went from 250 balls upto 5000 by entering crazy mode a few times but then went down to about 3000 by not much happening, although I did discover a nice pan and zoom and moved around the full 3D board and actually sussed out what was going on with it. Despite all the noise and stuff its basically a random number generator like a slot machine, oh well. If I see any other Pachinko games this cheap again I'll probably pick them up, just to see a different table.

Tested all my loose genny carts today which I'm selling on ebay...some of the ones I played a bit:

Aladdin
Comix Zone
Ecco: Tides of Time
Revenge of Shinobi

Most the others I turned on then off...

And of course, I played through:

NES - Ninja Gaiden

Beaten once again. This game is quickly becoming my bitch ;D. Actually died which was kinda surprising...Ryu took an axe to the back while he was trying to survive with one health bar.

Current high score: 328,700.

Bumped into a friend who managed to lock himself out of his house whilst I was on my way home today so he came round for a few hours. Showed him Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! which he seemed to enjoy and he opened my Dreamcast and saw Neppachi II and wanted to know what pachinko was also cuz like me had only heard of it, so we watched/played that for awhile before loading up Soul Calibur. Ended up playing 60 games, mostly Edge Master vs Edge Master, ending up him winning 34 to 26 i think. Damn ring outs.

Edit: and then later on I played some:
Street Fighter III - 2nd Impact
SNK vs Capcom 2
