King of Fighters R-2 - NGPC
still not unlocked anyone else :(
Capcom vs SNK 2 - Dreamcast
Tried out my KoF R-2 team, Kyo plays well. Also had the urge to go through one player with Ryu and then had to beat the annoyingly hard Akuma/Gouki
Ganbare Neo Pojke-Kun - NGPC
Games are unlocking very, veeeeery slowly. Got a new one finally and didn't manage to beat it, its like Space Invaders but you are a guy in the middle trying to avoid everything.
Under Defeat - Dreamcast
How hard is the final boss. Ouch. Finally beat him. Gave loop 2 a try and its a lot lot harder than loop 1. Gave up trying to beat the loop2 final boss. I should probably practice some more because can only get to 1-3 on one credit. Or should go back to Psyvariar 2 because its a far superior game

I sort of finished COD2..I could not figure out how to pass Difficulty: *****
Main Objectives: + Hold Hill 400 from German counterattack
+ Take cover from artillery barrages
+ Hold Hill 400 for 5 minutes from German assault
I held for like 15 minutes and no end..Did what Gamefaqs says to do but can't complete it..
Loaded up the next mission and finished what was left of the game though I can't get the end to fully load..Oh well. :/

My spring break started a couple days ago, but I've been spending so much time working with my games (cleaning them, adding them to my list, organizing them, preparing auctions for dupes, etc.) that I've barely had time to PLAY them. :/
I have, however, gotten down to just 3 fish I need to catch record-sized in Legend of the River King (4 if you count the Guardian, but it doesn't seem like that is possible).
I've also played a little of Zelda II on NES at my boyfriend's insistence (since I've never really played it before).

The box isn't pictured. The left control is the gear setting (Off - notch 5) and the right control is the brake lever (Lock - Emergency brake - notch 8 through zero). Good site (one of the few in English) on the series here (http://www.densha-de-go.com/), they also have some good forums that explain railroad operations. Speaking of which, good post on their forums here about signal meanings (http://densha-de-go-forums.com/index.php?showtopic=40).
The series is crazy popular in Japan, beginning years ago in the arcade. There have even been songs written about the games. LOL Anyway, it's all based on recreations of real lines in Japan. You pick a line and have to operate a real world route from one point to the other, stopping at required destinations along the way. Of course signals have to be obeyed, rules must be observed (blowing the horn when approaching a tunnel, grade crossing, bridge, etc.), speeds matched, and most importantly your train must run on time. Like to the second. That's what the little inset part of the controller is, that's where a train operator in Japan would set their pocketwatch to keep on schedule. Every second over your scheduled time reduces your points, when those run out it's game over. Bonus points can be earned for proper operations, stopping RIGHT on the mark exactly when you should and so forth.
Speaking of which, that's one of the hardest parts, stopping properly. You're penalized if you throttle up in the vacinity of a platform so you can't accelerate / brake your way in. Stopping on the nose gives you bonus points, you can be before or after the mark by about a meter and still not get penalized, any more than that and the deductions rack up. Slam the brakes on and your passengers will complain (and sometimes fall over, little animations come up). LOL Memorizing the lines becomes important with the longer journeys as there are many speed traps that pop up. You could be doing 110km/h and have a 45km/h area pop up if you're not careful. Barrel past a signal like that and you'll get deductions and sometimes an ATS (Automatic Train Stop) will engage, locking the brakes up to a full stop. Also if you go too fast then you'll begin to catch up to the train in front of you and get yellow signals and speed restrictions (usually 45km/h) until the safety gap between you and the train ahead is restored. There are also some minigames sprinkled throughout a few of the journeys where you'll have a tight time limit (like 25 seconds from full stop to full stop) to mate a freight locomotive to some cars or something similar for bonus points.

Picked up Tomb Raider Legend 360 today at Target
I may take as break from GRAW 360 to play this..
My good deed for the Day..
When I came out of Target with my Wife Son to get in the car.
I hear Sir,Sir Sir...
A lady was trying to get two big tan unfoldable plastic lawn chairs in her small car..She wedged the two chairs halfway into the car and could not move them anymore.
These chairs were too big to get into her car and she had two..Plus other Target bags and stuff in her car.(her washed Laundry)..and a Dog too..
Her trunk was half the size of the chairs.
So I wedged the chairs out with force and some bending of the plastic legs without messing them up.
While I was pulling the chairs out from being wedged the lady stepped back an tripped over her washed Laundry bag..She did this slow motion in air kick of the legs up and landed on her feet..I tried to reach to catch her but it happened so fast that I missed her..
Her glasses went flying up on her head, hair got messed up etc.
She didn't bust her ass but I figured man, this lady is having a bad day..and no lie I almost started to crack up as the way it happened was comical.(I turned to look to my right and a few Target employees taking a break were Rolling...
She was from Brooklyn,a nice person with well educated vocabulary....Drove all the way to this Target in Jersey to get these Chairs..
I finagled one chair into the back seat and then one in the front passenger seat..Noting to her that it will be rough to get the one in the back out when she gets home.
Everything else except the dog went into the truck and back seat..
She picked the right person for the job as I have a knack for packing a lot of crap in small places..
I got a thank you and I was off..

Well, my spring break is almost over, but I didn't ultimately get to do much gaming. My break has been pretty lame, since I only got about 3 or 4 fun, productive days before I started to get sick with a cold, so the rest of the two week break has been a waste. With what's left I gotta try to get healthy and do some studying. :/
Ah well, to get back on subject, I did manage to finish up fishing in Legend of the River King, as the only fish left that I haven't caught a record-sized one is the Guardian. I'm lucky that the shrimp didn't take too many tries. Maybe it's my imagination, but I think the shrimp got a little easier to catch. Maybe HP is linked the ease of fishing. Speaking of HP, I maxed it out at 999. What's funny is that it maxes out when the EXP is around 3500, but the experience keeps going. I think I'm around 5000 now. My obsessive-compulsive nature is rearing its ugly head, so I'm going to max out everything - HP, Gold, and EXP. Won't take that long, anyway, and it's something to do until my next GBC game I plan to play arrives. I'll have to give the raising mode a try before I retire the cart too.
I've been in the mood to play PC Engine lately too. However, all my best games I've already beaten (or I'm not in the mood for some of those styles of games I haven't beaten just yet). I ended up playing a little bit of Monster Lair.
I also got a craving for a little Tower of Druaga, so I fired up Namco Museum Vol. 3 on PlayStation.
One of the first games that I ever wrote a review for was Test Drive Le Mans on the PSX.
I always regretted parting with my advance copy of it.
Well, guess what I stumbled across today for $5? THIS time I'm keeping it. :D Funny thing is......lately I'm finding all kinds of PSX stuff in the wild. Strange indeed.

Ozyr, you forget to realize that this post was started back on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003. Thats almost two years before the main forum was split into two, the Classic Gaming and Modern Gaming forum. I realize that there is a version of this topic in the modern forum but, well, does it really matter if someone talks about a modern game they're currently playing here? After all, the topic title doesn't discriminate between modern games and games from past systems.
