I'm stuck in a bonus level in Dead Mans Hand where your fighting soldiers in a fort..
I can't beat them..they just keep coming.. :(

Keep fighting man, that level was a pain in the ass, you gotta keep going until the General shows up, crazy Cannibals. Later on you'll have to do this again in another stage, so learn this well.

I'm playing Ape Escape 2 (PS2) courtesy of Circuit City and also still into the continual saga of Animal Crossing - what can I say for that one other than I started very late. Cool game tho. After I finish Ape Escape 2 I'll probably start some PS2 RPG or work through some Gameboy games. Should have plenty of time for that since I have a 2 week business trip starting this coming Sunday.

Playing... Indy Series PS2..
One of the $5.00 Circuit city games.

I just ran 43 laps out of 50 at the Indianapolis 500...
I was in total Bliss,my tires had broke in and every turn was smooth..I was getting closer to the leader AND I was hit in the rear and had a spectacular Accident...

I have to say this game sure gives the intensity of speed going 237 MPG..It's really intense.
It's pretty good..I didn't change any settings I just started a race at Indianapolis.
I don't have any other F1 type games that let me Race Indianapolis like this.

I like the ability to adjust the fuel Mixture and spoilers while driving..

My wife Picked up the latest issue of OXM for me tonight...But everywhere we looked we can't find one with the thin DVD case.
I hope the cheap bastards over there didn't decide to stop including them..

Bad enough the Demo has hardly any playable Demos on it.

After my wife was worn out from Mad Maestro!

We started playing Real Pool (PS2..but the game is kind of hard to get into quickly
So we started playing Q-Ball..(POOL).This is the one we used to play a lot..we had forgot which one was it was.
This one is very easy to get into and a very good game.
The last time we played either was before Christopher was born..And that's over 3 yrs ago.
My wife was pregnant with Chris the last time we played..
And she used to beat me all the time..out of 3 games...We left off over 3 yrs ago with her as the champ.
Well tonight she ran the table and won the first game..But I won the second and the third so I finally beat her after all this time..(2 out of 3)

I was pulling all kinds of games off the shelf for her to play..Many that I have bought with her in mind to play.
But most haven't even been opened.

Today started off as a bad day..
I woke up with a terrible headache and several of my family members came over..
I really needed to relax today due to this headache...but I couldn't.

My sister watched Christopher while I rested for about an hour today.
I feel a little better,well a lot better.

Then they day-night turned out great...
I had missed out on a PS ONE(mini) two weeks ago at the Flea market.
I had went back to the flea market a 2nd time that day with my sister & brother in law to haggle the price but it was sold..I was disappointed because I should of grabbed it the first time.

Today my brother in law calls me and he bought me a Playstation at a garage sale for $10.00.
He just wanted to give me something I "guess" because I always help my sister out with technical things..but then he's really a nice guy.
I figured ok..I'll take it and I'll offer the $10.00 but I really don't need another Playstation (I have 3 already)
My sister brings it over and refuses the $10.00 but to my amazement it's a PS ONE(mini) with the power supply..
FREAKEN SWEET!!..I was going to buy one of these new and I want the little screen that attaches to it.
I've always wanted one of these...
I figure..It must not work..My buddy Ron comes over and I hook it up with one of the 1000 AV plugs I have and it loaded right up.
It works,what a score...This really made my day.
I put in a NBA LIVE 98 PS game since he loves this game and we go at it...I really gave him several runs but he beat me by one point every game..

I was pretty down and out with the headache and the non working new OXM disc..
Having to take out the spare Xbox to try the disc moving a lot of stuff to set it up etc only for the demo not to work in either system.(That had me pretty pissed off $10.00 down the drain)
(I still haven't tried the new OXM disc my friend Ron brought over/I hope it works)

We were going to play a few sports tiles on the XBOX and GC..I like to mix it up and play games I never tried with a second person like NFL Blitz 2003 GC.

I decided to show him NEO BOMBERMAN that's in the big red..Since he's a big Bomberman fan...I still haven't played the N64 version that I bought awhile back.(We may tomorrow)
Christopher loves NEO BOMBERMAN but he was playing Neo Turf masters in the Candy cab..

We play a few Battle Mode NEO BOMBERMAN games and the time is flying..We are having a ball.
I've never played against another person with this game so I'm seeing things I've never seen before..And so is he.

I have to say this is one of the ALL time best games ever made for the Neo Geo..It simply Rocks.
We had a ball...
Then we went and got some Taco Bell for Dinner ,,played several games of League Bowling..
He played Neo Drift Out and loves it..

Then we went back to NEO BOMBERMAN and just kept playing different boards..killing each other etc....

It was almost 1am before we stopped and we were really being loud..

Tomorrow he's coming back over.
I want to show him the League Bowling Cab to cab link up..and we a having rematches on the games we played plus playing what we didn't.
I have so much to play/2 player but so little time.
Time really goes by fast when you play video games with other people....

Well, now that I'm back I've been working on Splatterhouse 3. I beat the teddy bear today....I transformed and drop kicked that teddy bear's !@#$#$ face off. Now I'm gonna play the basement/sewer level.

I have been playing marble madness and mega man on nes both are tough and I'm rusty now need to practice to finish them again. just beat tmnt 3 and captain skyhawk for nes, I will try to finish Snake Rattle N Roll soon. Have also been playing mario and Luigi Superstar saga and Mega Man and Bass for GBA. Is it me or is M and L Superstar Saga tedious and repetitive? I will start playing magic knight rayearth again for saturn.

Having (willingly/knowingly) missed the CC $5 sale, I FINALLY got back into some of my games, as I promisd my wife before buying more. I think I'm gonna stop buying for awhile & start PLAYING!

Manhunt- left off where they have your family members tied up. I never thought I'd get through that scene, but I saved 2 of them. I'm now in the mall & cant get upstairs, the escalator's guarded...

Frequency- finally unlocked the FreezePop song in Stage 1. Catchy little ditty. Streaks are important to your score! Gotta find some people for Multitap play...

City Crisis- got an S rating on the chase mission, but cant gat higher than a B on any other...gonna take some work.

If anyone finds themselves buried in new games to play (not that it's bad!) go back & play some games you havent finished or had fun w/ the first time. You wont be sorry.

Well, haven't played the duo anymore since the cd drive busted....ahh well.

But went back to Thief III and am developing amusing ways to kill the enemies. The AI is hilarious in their HORRIBLE deaths and the body physics are amusing as hell. I threw this one hammerite guard (Unconscious, not dead) into a HUGE swinging metal gear and his body FLEW, TWISTED LIKE MAD and he let out the most Horridly sounding scream I've ever heard uttered by digital sound.

I wanted to play a two player Dual Gun House of the Dead 2/Confidential Mission....The one flea Market Dreamcast Gun (smaller) either says this gun will not work on a US system..or reads as a Joystick Controller when trying to Calibrate it in House of the Dead 2...(It won't read/detect as a gun)
Confidential Mission will not allow it to work at all..(Preferential Not allowed on US system)
That really sucked.

Today..

We had a lot of things to do...
In our travels we stopped at that Laundromat with the Generic MVS Neo Geo 3 slot in it that my wife told me about.
..It's a 4 slot with only 3 slots working.(?)

The cab is a plain(nice) black..red Control panel with the correct MVS button layout on the left 1rst player.
2nd player is a bit more cramped but usable...Plus a select switch that set to work only with coin in(50 cents.
The Marquee is Gold and black and just says MULTI-GAME..

The cab is very clean with a 25 in Monitor and what looks to be a removable control panel.
I've never seen this conversion/generic cab before..

No attract mode is set for no sound to be heard when the cab is not in play/credited.

Metal Slug 3 is set on level 4.....with the credit counter only showing up on the 2 player side.(?)
Super Sidekicks 2 is set on level 4

Puzzle Bobble is set on level 8..(Wow)

The board must have a Japanese Bios,everything is in Japanese.

I watched the machine demo through the games but only a Neo Geo Giga Shock into screen showed up..and the games demos..

The sound messed up though..I see two speakers in the cab but it's playing in Mono..
While playing Metal Slug 3 I can only hear the character shooting...I could not hear the enemies get hit,die etc..
I could not hear the Awesome Giant eels go across and hit the other side.
I never played a game so hard that I own at an Arcade like today..
It was set to 3 lives per credit....

My wife and Chris played the Ms Pac Man/Galaga Reunion cab..next to it..

I really would love to own that Reunion cab..Man I just don't know what I want to focus on in the future.

The Genesis verison was nicely done I thought, the characters were bigger compared to the SNES verison and the control response was quicker. (Plus I didn't like the Dolby Surround Sound they added for the SNES verison, the echo effect just wasn't cutting it for me)

All thanks to "Saurus" whoever this company was, did a fine job indeed, all Takara did was produce it

While as the SNES was strictly done by Takara themselves

I was pretty busy today but I got around to play some games tonight..

XBox..

I finished Dead Man's Hand ..that's about as much as I will play it besides link up or Posse mode that you can get working if two consoles are linked,,but you don't need two copies of the game.
Once the link is detected the Link options~games open up..

Popped in Pro Race Driver ..again..
I started playing in 3rd person where you can see the car/I always play in hood view.
I'm stuck in this game and was about to win a race that would of got me past being stuck when I took a wrong turn into the pit lane(damn it)
Through in Driver 3 to play some of the driving games but eventually I just started to play Take A Ride and did my best to get away from the cops..

I still haven't played Chronicles Of Riddick or Hitman Contracts yet.

Playstation..

I want to get my son playing race car games..but using one of the too many steering wheels I have for the system.Using a Force Feedback Logitech Steering wheel with a PS2 game is a bit too much for him right now.
I set him up with a Pelican Mini racing wheel..He was crashing the sides in Test Drive 4 but moving.
Test Drive 4 is one of two copies I bought for linking..It brings back memories of when me and my wife used to play many of the Racing car link games that I still have.
I still remember the spots where she would clip me and spin me around to get in front..

He also played Test Drive Offroad 2 before he got tired of it.
Thus having the games out I had to play them myself....Test Drive 4 is still one great game.
I can't wait to play link games with my son..

(the ole PS rack has been visited a lot lately.)

I was going to start either Chronicles Of Riddick or Hitman Contracts but it was a bit late.

So I just decided to take a look at ..
Airforce Delta Strike .
Well I like the Gameplay and the game looks great..I was already used to the feel of the game..
It's reminiscent of Ace Combat 4 etc..

But,The due to the RPG/Story elements of the game it's a bit slow to get right back into action..
And I'd say might aggravate somewhat..
The Anime is Great looking...
I don't understand what's going on yet..it seems to have a large cast of Anime based Characters..

I played 3 missions before I stopped..
I'll be playing this game again tomoorow..I like it..
