Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved - Xbox 360 Live Arcade
So I got this email today from a friend telling me he'd almost broke a million points. So I had to have another go, and I played for a long while, and beat my high score, but thats only around 660k. I've finally realised that you should be able to see all the enemies in your vicinity and thus react to them, ie shoot them or pull the trigger. Therefore those deaths are completely avoidable its just the ones that seemingly come out of nowhere.
OutRun Online Arcade - Xbox 360 Live Arcade
After finally pulling away from Geometry Wars I gave this a go, fully knowing that it hurts my entire right arm. So, on my first attempt (with Splash Wave playing) I almost beat 15-stage continuous, a feat I never made on the PS2 version. So i tried again, with a different car and Magical Sound Shower and did it! A combination of gear drifts in most of the courses and then braking drifts in the last 5 courses is a winner.

The Legendary Axe 2-TG-16
I love side scrolling action games like this. It makes it more fun to imagine the main character as Conan lol. It's quite challenging. I got to the boss of the third level before getting a final game over.
Sakura Taisen/Wars 5-PS2
Finished this tonight. It's been a wild ride, and I'm sad it's finished. I'll see if I get the prequel for this game.
Far East of Eden: The Apocalypse IV-SAT
This will be my first entry into the Far East of Eden series. I would've played Kubiki Den, but I need to repair my Turbo Duo's laser lens.

"Twice the amount of customization than AC4." Good, because the amount of different options you had in customizing your AC in AC4 blew. Good game, hardly any customization compared to the previoius titles. Looks like From Software also fixed the crappy garage that was on AC4 and the ACs do feel they control a bit better with the ability to go from boost to jump smoother than previously(thankfully they're bringing it to play closer to the PS2 games but stay with the next gen AC style.)
Yeah. I'm a bit late on playing it but I like the advancements.

I tried it out for awhile and the farthest I got was up to the first level boss. It's a pretty odd game, as it's kinda like a sandbox game. So far it seems you go around completing objectives, all the while dealing with alien bugs, solving a puzzle or two, then finding the boss and defeating it. One of the interesting aspects is you can jump into vehicles and fire lasers out of it, or if in a tank fire off cannons. Although your vehicle will take damage and run out of fuel.
My only gripe with the game is that you can't save until you beat the boss of the level. Though I was playing on Hero difficulty and being reckless. If running around jacking cars, causing explosions, and blasting alien bugs sounds like fun to you, then give it a try.
Today I was playing more of Far East of Eden 4: The Apocalypse on the Saturn. It's rather slow going so far. I like it for the rampant humor; reminds me of Earthbound.

After saw someone mention you can get it for free on the PSN I decided to pick up and play Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic. This game is the epitome of faggotry. The game is addicting because you want to just complete everything, but playing it just sucks. If I listed all the major flaws I came across not even playing every mode, there would be more than enough before even playing the rest of the game.
I guess I should say one good thing about the game. Playing the fish basketball game is pretty fun. I actually enjoyed that. The jumping thing was bs because of a myriad of flaws, got Fists of Gold but not yet Fists of Plastic on that one.
Another thing is the game asks if you'd like to sign in to keep track of your high scores and it uploads your high scores, so I backed out to see where in comparison to everyone else my high scores stood at. Wait a minute though. No option to actually check the high scores? What is the fucking point if there's not even a high score option? I could be first place in every one of those and not know it solely because the inability to actually check your scores after making them. Either that or 100,000. That's the most genius idea ever, upload high scores but don't have anywhere for them to be viewed.
What's up with you Sony? Been taking design classes from Nintendo? Are you going to add friend codes to your next game?

On Rag Doll Kung Fu Fists of Plastic I was wrong. There is a high score system. When you're under challenges you hit triangle instead of a menu. My scores are pretty high. There's one person that is in the top 10 in every single one.
I'm ranked 100 in the acrobat one. Ranked 300 on King of the Hill. The one Firefly one is hard as hell which I think I'm ranked 1000+.
Firefly is like beating off and aiming with the analog at the same time. You basically can't hit the ground and must remain in the air hitting the targets.

I beat Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit for PS3 in one sitting.
The game was easy to pick up and play and was able to be finished quickly, just like any of the DBZ Budokai games.
It has more of an arcade-like feel than the Budokai series because rather than one button for punching and one for kicking at equal strengths, it has one button for normal strength physical attacks and one button for harder physical attacks. Punches and kicks are determined by the individual character's fighting style and you have no control over how the character chooses to alternate between punching and kicking.
These are the same scenes you have seen acted out in previous gen DBZ games, but with better graphics and a few more detailed variations of events. While it doesn't offer nearly as much content as the Budokai Tenkaichi series it is very polished on the content it does focus on.
It seems that their goal was to focus on the main parts of the original DBZ Budokai (leaving out Zarbon, Dodoria, Hercule and Great Saiyaman) and re-do it for the new game systems. It does have some cool stages with Bardock and Broly who were not in that old game though.
It was great spending my $14 on this used game rather than the $60 that it was when it came out.
Now back to Dragon Warrior II for NES:
I am now in Rhone. I am just wandering around for hours fighting strong monsters here as I prepare to enter Hargon's hideout. I also fired up my NES emulator and quickly got up to this point in the game within just a few hours using save states, running from most monster encounters and fast forwarding. This way if anything happens to my save battery, no problem and I am still in the same area. It's easy to go back and do something right after you've just done it.
