I've restarted playing Final Fantasy II (the US version) on the Super-Nes. Some months ago I've lost all the saves after the game froze and I had to start a new game (after more than seven hours of playing). At the moment I'm really happy with this game, old RGPs are just so better than the new crappy über-hyper-mega graphic stuff from today (well, generaly spoken of course... ;) ). I'm not that far yet, played maybe about three or four hours. At the moment I have to transform my hero form a dark knight into a good guy at the mountain (I forgot the name of it... :hmm: ) together with the two kid magicians Palim and Polom or however they are named. FF II is just so cool, I can't wait to get home after work and continue playing.

I've been playing more Toshinden on Game Boy at school lately (and a little at home). I've beaten the game with about half of the cast. Also been playing Boxxle now that I'm all done with Dexterity. I'm up to 3-1, although I needed a very tiny bit of help to get through 2-10. Honestly, I'm kind of glad these are the last two b/w Game Boy games I have to beat. o_O I'm ready to move onto something new (some Game Boy Color games). Of course, it doesn't help that I saved the least interesting b/w games for last. :P

I pretty much finished up with We Love Katamari. I got all the cousins and all the presents (admittedly with a fair amount of assistance). All I really have left is the annoying rose collecting and finishing up my collection (which I never even did in the first Katamari). My biggest katamari was just short of 3000 meters.

And finally, I gave my Dragon Quest 8 demo a try at last. Unlike my boyfriend, I actually completed the thing, hehe. Sure took me a fair chunk of time, though. It was fun, but I don't think I have the time or patience for the full game any time soon.

Had another go at Power Stone.
Played as every character but can't get past the 2nd opponent on arcade mode, they are just too fast at getting all the stones. Anyway, I was in a fighting game mood so had 1 go at all of these, and as I'm crap at beat-em-ups I only got to around the 2-4 oppponent on each of them, here's what i played and who i played as:
Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact - Ikumi
Capcom vs SNK 2 - Shin Gouko, Haomaru, Kyo
Fatal Fury 2 - Mai
Samurai Shodown - Haomaru

Then I decided to have a quick go through 18 Wheeler, but i failed so loaded up Le Mans 24 Hours. Had 2 quick races on Suzuka Grand Prix which was amazingly fun and then did a 10min Le Mans mode. Nothing can beat the fun of playing this. 24 whole hours of racing squeezed into 10mins and 3 laps of an extremely fast and challenging circuit with 23 other racers on the track. I didn't bother to qualify so started last and just won by a fraction of a car length. It was amazing and the graphics on this game still amaze me almost every time i play - if only this game was optimized for VGA it would be perfect - excellent graphics, great tracks and great gameplay = a top racing game

Puyo Puyo 4 - Dreamcast
This is the first Puyo Puyo game I've played and man is it good, I must of played for hours. Playing through the story mode and now up to stage 9 (out of 16). And then to try the other modes. This game is fun and can get a little crazy, however, as the levels go on I find it is less about strategic building but just being fast. Anyway, I will probably play some more in the next few days although I have just got Soul Calibur so may start that up, putting aside my failed attempt at Power Stone and, oh yeah, i was still trying to get through MSR. Too many Dreamcast games, and they all keep me occupied for far too long...

Let's see in the last few days I've been playing mostly KickMaster on the Nintendo NES. I think this is one of the hidden gems on the system. Good graphics, great sound and a lot of platforming action with RPG elements thrown in for good measure. I've also been playing around with Dragon Quest VIII but I haven't really advanced the story any since defeating the second boss. I really need to get back to that one. My son has been playing a lot of Goldeneye Rogue Agent on the PS2.

I like playing the PS2 version/I wonder what the differences are with e Xbox version-game.

I'd advise waiting for a price drop - $30 if you really enjoy street racers and $20 if you're just curious about it. if I hadn't took advantage of the promotion Midway had with Midway Arcade Treasures 3 thrown in as a pre-order bonus, I'd feel ripped off. It's outdated compared to most of the street racers available and Midway shouldn't have used the Rush name - there's almost nothing in the game that resembles the Rush games of old.

The car customization sucks too - you can't pick anything. All you can do is roll into West Coast Customs and they pick everything for you.

If it had been released under a different name a couple years ago, it might have been worth a look at the full price, but as it is today, Midnight Club 3 and even Need For Speed Underground 2 blow it out of the water. Hell, just about any street racer that lets you choose how to customize your car has an edge over it. LOL

Finally own my own copy of Soul Calibur - I had this game borrowed off a friend for months back in the day. I remember being blown away by the game then and it still impresses me just as much today. I ran through arcade mode with Kilik, Maxi, Astaroth, Xianghua and Taki. I think I am going to stick with this game. I've been playing little bits of lots of beat-em-ups lately but none has had the fluency or just felt as good as this (or looked so good either but thats beside the point, this just feels nice to play). Going to run through arcade with each of the characters before starting mission battle mode.

Buddy Ron came over when I was fighting the third Colossi in Shadow of the Colossus. ..basically he was in awe at the size of the Colossi.
I took the third Colossi down and showed Ron just how big the game is..We both love the music.

I always seem to have second Xbox system not loading the map problems that are just a pain in the butt until turn off and restart both systems.
After we got it all set-up it was an all out fragfest...Utter hilarity as you go to shoot someone and get clipped from behind.
We played for hours,then when Ron left I played me against my Son and Nephew..(with me having a severe handicap set)
Fun as heck as I have to try and stay away from them as they track me down..

More Boxxle and Toshinden on my bro-in-law's SP at school. In Toshinden, I've beaten the game with all 8 normal characters and 2 secret characters, so I only have two more secret characters to beat the game with. In Boxxle, I'm up to the fifth area, and I swear... my brain is going to explode before I complete this game. o_o I like how thought-provoking the puzzles are, but it's literally an exhausting game to play. When I got to the fourth area and checked out its 10 puzzles, the puzzles looked so insane that I thought "This has GOT to be the last area". Little did I know that the game actually has around 9 or 10 areas.... O_o I don't even want to imagine how crazy the puzzles are going to get by the end.

Also, my boyfriend seemed to be a little impressed at my dedication with Toshinden, so he talked me into playing some Street Fighter Zero 2 on PlayStation against him. He wishes that I'd get more into fighters like him, but I lack the interest to get as hardcore into them and as skilled as he is. I just like to casually play one now and then. Anyway, I lost the vast majority of fights against him. :P

get off the phone in the bottom of the 9th score 2 runs that made him nervous.16-18...Next hit goes to the wall I get on base.
All I had left with two outs was my pitcher.(they hit like shit/if)
I Power him up and Ron decides to just throw it down the middle..1,2,3 strikes he would not hit the ball.

Tiny bit more Toshinden, this time on the Super Game Boy. I played through the game as Uranus on Jet Mode (makes the game a bit faster, available only with the Super Game Boy). I was also using Scorcher Mode, which allows you to use super attacks at any time and unlocks some secret attacks, but I always use that. What's funny is that it usually just makes the game more challenging for me because the AI will spam their super attacks, while I'm left trying to just discover the movements for my own character's super moves. The Super Game Boy background is pretty cool, but the game being optomized for color is done stupidly. Instead of making the battles look better (everything is still pretty much one solid color), they just color in the portraits and story scenes. Oh well, the colored stuff does look nice, at least.

My boyfriend talked me into playing some more PlayStation fighters with him, so we played some Street Fighter Zero 3 and Battle Arena Toshinden 2. I wasn't doing so good in Zero 3, but we were pretty much equal in Toshinden 2. I guess it's a combination of me playing the Game Boy so much lately and him being out of practice and never being too big on the series to begin with. Plus, it doesn't help that its not the best designed fighter ever, haha. It definitely has issues with balance, and all it really takes to win in versus mode is to pound on the buttons and hope you beat the other person.

Mostly played Cybercore which is a pretty good shmup. The killer insect theme is nice, and I like that the game isn't too hard (made it to level 6 after playing on and off during the day).

R-Type - this is a NICE version of the game, but I still suck at it. Made it to the 2nd level boss...

Bonk's Adventure - pretty simple, but a lot of fun. Got halfway thru the second zone.

and Played a bit more on Bomberman. This is surprisingly fun even in 1 player, I hope to break out the multitap soon!
