I'm still playing the same games but I've decided I don't like the TV Games Ms. Pac-Man game...the speed seems wrong and the monsters seem too quick when I go to get them. Maybe my memory of the original's faulty. I'm also continuing to play Baseball Advance and my Pirates actually just shut out the St. Louis Cardinals. I still have a losing record in my fairly young season, though (I think I'm into May on that season's schedule)...

Sometimes when he leaves off I grab the controller and just mess around/seeing how long I can last being chased..(as I did last night)
What I do however is I go find a nice car and put it in the Garage for my Son/then save..So when he plays again he finds a new car in the garage...As all he does is just drives around.

When I started this game the early levels seemed so short that I figured I'd blow through this game quick.
Now deep in the game the levels are long,very long...Sometimes I just need to turn the machine off and try again the next day as I can't do all I did again once I've been killed and had to start over at a check point..One mission could take over an hour..All in all it's a great game that I feel is well done and I'm enjoying it...I've been through plenty of Heart beating moments in this game..

Had some folks over on Saturday for some multiplayer gaming.

Started off with Samurai Shodown 2 on MVS, which didn't last long as one guy remembered his favorite character and went basically undefeated.

We played KoF 2003 which was a more level playing field. I've heard mixed reviews of 2003, but it may be my favorite post-SNK release so far...

We switched up for two player Taiko Drummaster, which I think I'll have to pick up now. Man that's a fun game!

Then I setup requested Metal Slug 3, which was fun, but I forgot how long the game is. Once they beat it everyone was almost "videogamed out". League Bowling was a good antidote though!

We then tried out Donkey Konga, which was fun, but I think I prefer Taiko.

After most folks headed out, one of my friends stayed and we played more League Bowling and SNK vs. Capcom. He showed me Shadow of the Colossus, and we played a little Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I'm still grinding through my season in Tecmo Nba basketball on NES. I'm now 59-2 with the Magic. I also started playing Clash at Demonhead. I've played it before but not very seriously. I think I'm going to make it my goal to beat it before 2006 rolls around but I prolly wont be able to. Seems fun, too bad I have no idea where to go....lol, oh well.

Me=I think the buttons stunk butI loved the look of the machine.
If I could by this in store for $500.00 I would(?)..but as far as I can tell it's online ordered only and the shipping is $111.00
That makes it a $611.00 machine....$611.00 killed it for me.

Ico - a friend showed me this, i didn't quite get it but could see it getting better

yesterday:
Electroplankton - just a bit of background music
Then had a friend over and we tried the following Saturn games I recently got but hadn't played yet:
Nights - awesome, we didn't know quite what we were doing but were swirling about and it was really nice
Sonic R - argh, awful controls and stupid transparent backgrounds meant it was hard to see where to go, we struggled with it for quite a while though
Sonic Jam - stupid camera in Sonic World - played through Sonic 3 quite a bit which we both remembered really well

today:
Virtua Racing - MegaDrive
Wow! I was really impressed. The game is just so ridiculously fast but the difficulty is placed just so, like all the great Sega arcade racers.

I just played my first game of MLB 2005 for the PS1 (one of the games I got in the DP Secret Santa exchange). I think this is the first time I played a PS1 game via my PS2. I haven't played an MLB game in a few years so I wasn't that familiar with the gameplay. I still didn't lose too badly, my Pirates being downed by the more powerful Phillies, 3-1.

Cool! I need to get some Pachislo (Japanese slot) machines eventually .. like when I have more room. LOL Your pachinko machines look really nice, especially how you have the woodgrain one installed! My machine needed a lot of work but I really liked the style of the machine so I bought it anyway, honestly it was the first one I had seen at the flea market in a long time that had 98% of the mechanical parts so I dropped $25 and the adventure began. There are a few things I still need to do...

Have to replace the plexi since it has some rather large cracks and chips in it and cut a glass panel for the outer groove. I know I really don't need it but I think machines look better with it. I have to finish refurbishing the ball tray empty light switch as well as install new ball tray empty lamp socket since I broke the fourth one I bought. LOL This machine had ZERO wiring, not even the remnants of the fuseboard, but I was able to rebuild the electrical system from a schematic. Sand the outer frame I built once more, stain the outer frame (black, also going to restain the two black strips across the bottom of the machine to match). Need to pick up about 1000 more balls too so I won't have to open it as much, thinking of getting 500 more silver, 250 blue and 250 green to go with the oceanic theme of the machine. Also need to go around and make my tweaks and repairs a little more cleaner and efficient looking, which is what I've been doing this week.

Amazing that freaking pachinko balls end up costing as much if not more than restoring the machines.

Getting back on topic to this thread LOL I've been playing Gran Turismo 4 and messing around with Neo4All/AES on the Dreamcast - VERY impressive for an alpha release, no substitution for an AES but impressive just the same.
