Bah, what a dissapointment this year is going to be, V8 formula, no Belgian Grand Prix due to track work (LEAVE SPA THE HELL ALONE), the San Marino GP is going to be on freaking network TV in the US instead of the Speed Channel... :/ I swear, does the FIA even monitor the F1 circus anymore or are their heads up their asses during the whole season?

This year kind of sprung up on me, I didn't know it was starting again and I missed the first half of the race. This always happens as I tend to watch the first half of the series and not the second. It was a good race though - great stuff between Alonso and Schumacher. The podium was looking good with Raikonnen up there as well. I should really find out more - I'm so unaware of whats going on I dont even know who is in many of the teams - for example, who is partnering Schumacher at Ferrari now Barichello is gone (again, I don't know to who)

Anyway, back to gaming, and Radirgy arrived in the post this morning. Have really been looking forward to it these last few days. It didn't dissapoint. Been putting a good amount of time into it. It looks excellent and plays really well. In fact, I'm itching to get back to it now...

Felipe Massa, former Sauber driver... yeah. Poor Barichello though, should have never left. :/ Don't get me wrong, I've been a Schumacher fan since his days driving for Jordan but I've always been impressed with Rubens Barichello... but MAN he has to start at square one again with BAR Honda. It's not the constructor change, it's the tire manufacturer - he's spent his whole career up to this point on Bridgestones. And let's be honest, who wants to be paired with all talk and no show Jenson Button? I'm amazed that Honda bought out his contract from Williams since Sir Frank Williams was going to hold him to it and it's a waste of money for Honda. Especially considering that there was talk at the end of last season of shelving Barichello in place for... Takuma Sato. :hmm: Japanese drivers in Japanese cars, all that. However Sato went over to the new Super Aguri team, which is using the old Arrows facilities - in fact the car designs are based on the 2003 Arrows chassis with a Honda powerplant until later in the season when there's supposed to be a new design. Oh, and I actually got a PM about Spa - guess it doesn't make sense unless you know upper motor sports, Spa is the greatest circuit ever created (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circuit_de_Spa-Francorchamps). I'll toss my Italian heritage to the side and be honest in saying I really don't care for Monza. LOL

Anyway, now that I've gotten WAY off topic... :embarrassed:

All original Gameboy games -

Golf
Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening
Super Mario Land
Super RC Pro-Am
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fall of the Foot Clan

I need to get more reviews up so I'll knock out what I have remaining of my GB library, easy considering they've all be played to death. Just the same this week will be a quick refresher in each. LOL

Radirgy for the Dreamcast.
I seriously could have played this all night but had to stop myself. This game is very good. Strangely enough today i never made it to level 5 which i got to a few times yesterday. I've also stopped shooting, now I just use the sword and the ABS meter blast invulnerability thing. Basically trying to get on that as much as possible to get the multiplier to stay constantly high. Level 4 is such a rush, i'm never off the boost. I remember before i had this game i loved the mp3 samples of the soundtrack but now i dont here i as all i hear are explosions! On the last couple of goes I rediscovered the actual shooting and found it made killing the bosses a lot easier

Making my way through:

Shadow Hearts 3

Finished the main story, and am working on the sidequests. Got over half of them done, but the remaining ones are quite a bitch. I've almost acumulated 45 bream coins for the cat, which was quite an ordeal, so all of his ultimate stuff should be aquired soon. The difficulty in some of the areas such as the dollhouse are ramped up A LOT. I've been trying to get Frank's ultimate weapon and he's at level 40, but the ninja is HOSTILE. Starts out with 1 stock, and then lowers my speed with gale, and then gets turn priority for about 3 rounds. NOTHING you can do about it. Wish I knew a good place to level up, but I haven't found a decent place to power level.

I have a problem where I can't delete other my other profiles//The game keep loading the wrong profile upun start up.
What happened is a went to Gamefaqs looking for a code.
This one..
Unlock BFG
Enter the code as your name when creating a profile. Once entered press done. You will be returned to the Profile Name screen to enter a real profile name. When you begin the game you will have the BFG. Password Effect
5SQQ-STHA-ZFFV-7XEV Unlocks the BFG

Problem is:
In the profile menu where you put in that code there is no slash (-)..listed/to press
I tried whatever else was there, left them out, spaces even the = and it doesn't work.
Now I'm left with unusable profiles that I can't get rid of..

Nonetheless I load up my saved profile..Tonight I start a sea port mission..
As soon as I start his area seems familiar, like if I've played it before.
Thinking about it..the port level layout looks just like one I played in a MOH game..

Gameboy - Super Mario Land

Ran through it again a couple times last night and today for a review. I still wish Nintendo would wise up and make a TRUE third Super Mario Land game (Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land was just that - Wario Land, and had pretty much nothing carried over from the SML games). Then again, it's also kinda nice to see that it's one thing Gunpei Yokoi created that was left alone since his passing.

I beat a few more stages in area 9 of Boxxle, but now I'm just left with a few very small stages where I imagine every push has to be in the right place and in the right order. I won't be surprised if I end up stuck on these for awhile. However, since I finally caught that record-breaking Rudd in Legend of the River King, I can make more progress in that game when Boxxle feels hopeless.

At home, I've mostly been playing a few imports I recently got. Nushi Tsuri 64 (AKA Legend of the River King on N64) has some amazing looking fish, but I don't think I'll seriously get into it just yet. Both because I'm kind of burnt out on the GBC game and because it's SO much more complex (and being in Japanese just makes it all that much more difficult for me). I also got two TwinBee games, and while I'm not so much in the mood to really get into TwinBee RPG yet (what with Boxxle and River King and such, I'm not in the mood for yet another slow-paced game, but it does seem like a fun traditional RPG that I'm sure I'll enjoy very much when the time is right), I have been enjoying TwinBee Taisen Puzzle Dama a lot. Based on what little I had found about the game online, it seems like most people have a somewhat negative outlook on the Taisen Puzzle Dama games, but I think it's an excellent puzzle title and this is coming from someone who generally isn't too crazy about puzzle games (going against the whole chick gamer cliche, hehe). The frozen balls/bells really lend themselves well to huge combos, which I find exciting, even if they do make the pace a little slow sometimes. However, in the later stages, the pieces drop so fast that I can't see anyone finding that too slow-paced. It was really a great purchase because I love TwinBee, my collection could really use some more puzzle titles (besides the genres I don't really like much at all like FPSs and sports, it's probably most lacking in puzzle games), and it's great bang for my buck considering the entire original arcade Taisen Puzzle Dama is included as a bonus.

I also tried out a bunch of PlayStation games from a lot I bought some time ago, but I still have more to go. It's gonna take me an eternity to finally try them all, get them listed, and shelved. o_O Incidentally, I'm pretty much out of shelf space, so new purchases are literally kicking around on boxes on the floor. There's a bookcase in the hall outside my room and an empty space I made in my room, but I've been so busy with school and work that I haven't even had the chance to clean it out and bring it in (nevermind filling it up too).

It kinda doesn't belong here but you know the Michael Bell that voices "The Fear" is the Michael Bell. AKA one of the most famous and well known American voice actors (Drew / Chazz / Boris in Rugrats, Duke in GI Joe, Lance / Prince Lotor in Voltron, and tons more - over 200 productions). :)

PlayStation - SaGa Frontier

Back when GameCrazy was having their first "3 for $15" sale I asked a friend of mine (also my first love and the only person I've had past relations with that I'm still really close to - but that's another story and another thread) if there's anything she was looking for and she said her SaGa Frontier disc was beat to snot. Suprisingly they had a copy, (not rare or anything I know) being disc only wasn't a problem - heck, at $5 for some of these games it was still welcome. So I sent it to her under the condition that I could make a duplicate LOL since she was talking about it non-stop after I told her I found a copy and of course she said that was fine. So what's what I'm playing. It's alright, a little heavy on the Chrono Trigger overlay of certain things and I still like what I've played of Live-A-Live on the Super Famicom more, but it's still early.

Really enjoying this title! Oodles of fun and just as great as the original. The dark world is a pretty sweet addition and quite entertaining. I just recently got the grapple beam, and the final temple key needed for the next boss. Will probably grab a few side items before fighting it.

Playstation 2 - Onimusha 4

Another amazing title. It's got some REALLY annoying characters this time around, and some of the co-op play is a little messed up, but it's still great. The amount of stuff you can upgrade, combine and so on is insane. I'm going to go through the dark world with all the characters. I tried it out last night and did pretty well. Died by accident a few levels in, but I wasn't really shooting to complete it at the moment. I love doing the block issens. GOD. Things !@#$ing DIE in the dark world from that. Wish I had put more points into the chain skill. The amount of souls you get for chaining an issen though are fucking unbelievable, lol.

Playstation 2 - Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence

Replaying this excellent title! The End just died horribly from the smoking cigarettes. I tell ya...that second hand smoke is a killer. I'm getting about half way through the game ATM, playing on European Extreme. Duel mode was pretty cool, and should be a fun play through.

Got quite a few titles going at the moment! What REALLY sucks is Oblivion is being shipped to my store tomorrow, and I'm sure I'll end up buying the collector's edition for pc, lol. At least this stuff will keep me VERY busy for a while. Hopefully I can cut down the buying a lot, and start selling ;D.

Uggg. Was playing some Simcity 4 RH and keep getting stuck with expanding my cities! I toss in commercial and industrial and they instantly move in, and just as fast abandon the property. On top of that no more people want to move in. If I lower taxes (Which are below 10% already) then it'll boost the economy but may bankrupt me. Grrrr... Not to mention they are constantly bitching about traffic problems and I've put subways, buses, and other public transportation plans in after even looking at where people commute to for work. There's miles and miles of avenues in my town so there's plenty of 2-lane roads. No one wants to use the damn public transportation. If anyone knows of a way around the transporation issue or how to add different parks and all to fix this, let me know!

Famicom - Kage no Densetsu (released over here as The Legend of Kage... nice direct translation LOL)

After being pretty much completely unpleased with the quick conversion of a Famicom-NES converter filled Gyromite cartridge I performed yesterday, I went back and redid it with a fresh cartridge shell. (the roughest copy of SMB / Duck Hunt I have out of the many... man the board inside was gross, and I clean all my games when I obtain them) SMB / DH carts are great resources for select components, NES cart screws, and in this case, shells. So based on yesterdays rush job, I revised my cut lines, spent some more quality time with the grinder, and built a Famicom-NES converter cartridge much more like the ones I made (and sold) years ago...

Started playing some Roller Coaster Tycoon for the good old PC today and yesterday. Too bad I lost my burnt copies of the expansions for it....kicking myself for that. The expansions rule for RCT.

Yeah, it's MUCH nicer than plugging / unplugging the bare Famicom-NES converter and socketboard everytime you change a game, also makes it match up the NES connectors easier since the true NES cart slot width is filled.

Lots of time with the cut off wheel, hacksaw, grider and lots and lots of hot glue. LOL

Sixth Game 1 to 2 he won scoring the winning goal in the last 4 seconds..

Candy Cab
A few rounds of LAST BLADE

Baseball Stars 2

I've been playing some of the "Arcade Greatest Hits" titles on the SNES. Atari Collection 1 and Midway's Arcade Greatest Hits. Both are really great, amazingly for how old they are. Very close to their arcade counterparts, and a whole lot of fun to play!

Radirgy - Dreamcast (hopefully Under Defeat will turn up soon)
Tetris - GB (Hopefully Tetris DS arrives tomorrow)

and to spoil a theme:
Plus Plumb - Dreamcast

I just got this game, all i knew was that is was a falling block puzzle game. I'm not one to think loads of moves ahead to build up chains and things which is why my Columns and Puyo Puyo games stall but this game keeps things nice and simple and really enjoyed it so far. There's a lot of story in it which I skip through but hopefully the game saves progress through the single-player story mode, as it could go on quite a while and I dont want to keep playing the simple beginner opponents over again

SNES - Lagoon

I know a lot of people hate this game due to how short of range your character has to attack. This isn't as much of a problem once you learn some magic and can shoot distances. However I will agree that the range does suck ass. I play it with an asciipad with the attack button set to turbo, then I hold it down when encountering an enemy - ends up making it like the eary Ys games pretty much. I will also agree with the majority that when you have to lead around an ally (even though they are invulnerable) it sucks major ass since they walk SO SLOW and get hung up on everything. I still like the game though, good music and excellent art design.

I guess that's why I've always liked Lagoon, the art style. It really does feel like a Ys game, right down to the power bars at the bottom of the screen.

Man I've been gaming quite a bit!

Doom 3 Xbox - just checking it out. The Imps are a lot scarier than the original
Fable Xbox - just checking it out. So far this game looks really, really cool!
Taito Legends Xbox - This is a really nice collection. Favorites are Rastan, Zoo Keeper and Gladiator

Dragonquest VIII PS2 - getting closer to the end (finished the snow area), as item shops have become crazy expensive, I've been taking some time to figure out some of the better Alchemy...
Sega Classics Collection PS2 - these remakes are kind of hit or miss, but my favorites are Outrun, Virtua Racing and Alien Syndrome. For it's worth it for V Racing alone...

Pac'n Roll DS - Pac-man+Marble Madness=This game rocks!
Puyo Puyo Fever DS (import) - trying to figure out the menus, but the game itself is a nice update of Puyo Puyo. I like the fever mode.

Cheers,
Ben

Halo 2 linked Juggernaut with my Son and Nephew..

My Wife sat and watched as my Son made mincemeat of me and my Nephew..He was the Juggernaut and he killed us 15 to nothing real fast..I had -1

Later I chose a very close quarter map and destroyed my Son and Nephew..a little payback.

Juggernaut is a blast..

I played some Total Annihilation tonight at a friends house. Kicked some major ass with nukage. Earlier to that at the arcade I got into some Aero Fighters, Bust-A-Move, and an air hockey match. I lost to the champ but it's all good because I generally suck at it anyhow.

I put 75 cents into Aero Fighters and played 2player with a bud making it 5 levels into the game and getting the #3 top score. Somehow lost early on in Bust-A-Move but it was on one of those tricky levels. Sometimes you get it and sometimes you just don't.

NGPC: Match of the Millenium

Does anyone else know if there's a handheld fighter this good on the DS yet? It's amazing!

Dreamcast: Sonic Adventure 2 and Space Channel 5

I am playing Sonic Japanese import just to play it, as I haent done before. I have over 100 PAL games and just started collecting Jap. I have 3 DC consoles in Jap format now - Sakura Wars, Reg 7 and a Hello Kitty.

Saturn: Sonic 3 and Knuckles (Sonic Jam)

Just got hyper sonic. It feels like I am 15 again... how good is this music?!

Unless you count Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival (I didn't care much for the Street Fighter Alpha 3 port) on the GBA, then not that I know of.

Are there any fighters on the DS yet? I can only think of scrolling beat-em-ups like Star Wars, Bleach and Jump Superstars.

Dissapointed that neither Tetris DS or Under Defeat arrived today so have been playing these as usual:

Radirgy
