Going through the Ridge Racer series on PSOne right now, starting with the original, Rage Racer, the upgraded original, and R4. I've made it further in each than ever before (which isn't saying much).

I've been enjoying the arcade style racing they offer.

Xbox 360 Call of Duty 2

For some reason this game would fail to load several missions and or just freeze up..eventually I used a mission opening code to open up all the missions(besides the last)..This way I could pass the non loading missions and continue the game..

I've tried dozens of times to get the non loading missions to load with no luck, even playing the mission before over and over to see if it would load into the next (non loading)mission..
The loading bar would get stuck halfway through the load..

No matter what I tried I could not get this game to load it's non loading missions..
Quake 4 did something similar,I exchanged it and the new one works perfectly.
Call Of Duty 2 was a gift given to me way before I got the 360 so no return on it..

Since I've been playing this game again,I was thinking of buying another copy just to play the frozen missions.

The game must of heard me because tonight to my amazement the game loaded every non loading mission..
I was tired, but having to wait to play the non loading missions I stood up to 4:30am playing them..

Two missions that I remember is:

Tunisia 1943 - Retaking Lost Ground
Caen 1944 - The Tiger

.............
Tunisia 1943 - Retaking Lost Ground..I had played at a friends house but I was rushing and didn't enjoy it as much as sitting on my own couch and playing.

Since I got the mission to finally load I played it again..But I tried the game tonight..

This part in Tunisia 1943 - Retaking Lost Ground
Crusader tanks will blast through a stone wall and rid of the Panzer.
Once the Panzer is down, move up, and watch for the awaiting Germans to your
left. Your tank will provide some assistance, but will stop near one of the
corners
Once the Panzer is down, move up, and watch for the awaiting Germans to your
left. Your tank will provide some assistance, but will stop near one of the
corners. Flank this Flak Gun crew via a left road, as they have an established
MG42 which fires down the main alleyway. Once it's flanked, watch for Krauts to
pop their heads on two roofs right next to the position. Gun them down, and
continue following the tanks up through the city. You'll find more resistance
up ahead, but you may lose your last Crusader tank due to Panzershreks.

The 360 Call Of Duty 2 Game is programmed that the first Tank must get destroyed by Panzershreks=(Your tank will provide some assistance, but will stop near one of the
corners)
My Check point was right before I initialized the Tanks to come into the fight.(Tank blasts through a stone wall)
..My first Tank would get destroyed and I wanted to figure out how to prevent it from being hit..Getting killed over and over I finally found where the Panzershrek soldiers were shooting at and decided to take them out before they shoot my first tank..
The Panzershrek solders are invincible though hittable during this sequence which is why I say my first tank must be destroyed..(It happens so fast)

I kept trying to kill the Panzershrek soldiers doing it over and over, changing weapons etc.
As long as I don't go near the wall on the left to engage my Tanks to come into the fight(Tank breaks through wall) I can roam all around..

I get two machine guns fully loaded and four Granades..I engage my Tanks to come into the fight and run quick to the wall right near where the two Panzershrek soldiers will shoot from..Firing at them does nothing at first, throwing 4 granades in a sequence makes them run for cover and if they come back to line up for the shot firing at them directly stutters them..No matter what I can't kill them but they will take a shot or two at me(throw Granade) when I bother them..
This gives enough time for my tank to pass..But the Panzershrek soldiers now get confused and lock in the Panzershrek firing position..
If thy pull off the hit they leave..
I can throw everything at them and nothing happens..they don't even shoot at my second passing tank..
All my soldiers will fire at them and they still stay there unharmed..

After I did this I got all Rambo like and ran ahead to see my two tanks that survived now and got killed..I tried three times to do it over then I used smoke with granades and I tricked the Panzershrek soldiers again...((the first tank that should of been blown up would block the road and I'm not sure how the second would get around if I didn't prevent the first one from getting destroyed))

I take my time now so I don't get killed ..I have two Tanks in the road but they aren't doing anything..I figure I glitched them up.
Later the first tank shoots at an enemy solder and starts to more...I get to the next checkpoint with two Tanks(tank runs me over)..As the first tank goes around the corner it gets destroyed by two more Panzershrek soldiers..I try the old trick again with no luck but my checkpoint is to close to the sequence to try anything else.
Ok what now,the first tank blocks the road..the second tank can't pass and the second tank should of been the one to get destroyed in this sequence( you may lose your last Crusader tank due to Panzershreks.)

The second tank goes right through the first destroyed tank like it wasn't there..then stops

I finish the last of the game and I see my Tank leaving in the ending scene.

I wonder If I was able to save both Tanks would I see the two of them leave in the ending scene..

Frozen Panzershrek soldiers/where I shoot at them from..

The corner that My Tank would get blown up at after it's past..Panzershrek soldiers are still frozen.

I haven't posted in awhile since I've been so busy with the end of my summer vacation, a cross-country flight back home, getting accustomed to being back in the daily grind, and starting up work and school again. It's just so hard to squeeze in gaming time. :(

I did beat Final Fantasy II via Final Fantasy Origins on PlayStation before my vacation ended, though. According to FAQs, I believe I permanently missed out on some stuff, so I wasn't able to complete the collections. I'll have to save that for a replay someday.

Back home, I got a whole bunch of weird birthday presents from my boyfriend, consisting of random obscure games, mostly imports. He bought me a Virtual Boy and I played a little of Mario Clash, but we soon realized that we got completely screwed over by a scumbag eBay seller who sold us a broken system. To make matters worse, when I was packing it up to mail back (at our own cost, even though it was completely the seller's fault), I somehow misplaced the power plug and forgot to include it in the box. This is the first time I have EVER forgotten something that needed to go in a mailing box. Now we have to lose even more money on this transaction to separately mail that back. :/ ANYWAY, to end my rant and get back to my gaming, he also got me four Famicom games, all of which I've played a little so far: Willow, Mario Open Golf, Hydlide 3, and Valkyrie no Bouken. For PC Engine, he got me Hatris, and Sorcerian. The latter was so damn confusing with all the endless kanji menu options that I never even got to any real gameplay in all the time I was tinkering with it. :/ There are FAQs for the English PC and Japanese Genesis versions, so maybe those will help once I decide to really figure things out. There's a few other games he got me, but they're all ones I'm not able to play just yet (I'm gonna have to figure out a way for me to play Mega CD games).

What I'm really devoted to at the moment, though, is Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria on PlayStation 2. I should've been playing the game back in June, but a series of unfortunate events prevented me from doing so until just a couple weeks ago. However, now I'm hindered by everything I've been busy with, so I'm only about two hours into it, with my save being right after beating the first boss. My boyfriend, on the other hand, is really far into the game since he's been playing constantly. I really like what I've played so far, but I'll obviously have to play longer before I can really get the hang of it and develop some legit opinions on it.

Oh, and I've also played a tiny bit of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64 with friends and some Bikers via the Konami GB Collection Vol. 4 on my SP at school.

Just played some. Looped 999 on the game A. Almost looped it twice - got 1972, interestingly it saves your real high score so you can keep looping the 999 and the DS will save your actual score which is nice. I find it nice enough to reach the stage where you surpass 999 though

I'm playing quite a few rpg's.
Final Fantasy X- My old copy is scratched so I tried looking for a new copy and always ended up getting a different game instead, but finally I decided after months I needed to play this game again. 31 hours and 3/4 done with the game.

Disgaea 2- I was a big fan of the first one so I had to get this one the day it came out. So far it's really fun and addicting. I like the free-grid system in Phantom Brave more though. 30+ hours so far.

Dragon Quest VIII: I didn't play the other DQ games, but I plan to pick up the 7th one for the psx someday. I literally became lost on this one and just leveled up for hours...(fell asleep a few times) My hero is level 34 when the recommended level is 19 or something...heh. 40+ hours

Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits- My sister loved this game, and I heard the story was good, so I picked it up from the shelf and booted it up. So far, it's pretty good...but I don't like Kharg much for some reason, Darc is so much cooler.. :)

Was supposed to be something for my birthday. Ther was a sealed one on eBay, told her about it, told her I should be saving my money, then the auction ended. I was discouraged so I ended up buying an open copy the next day, told her, and then she told me she had a friend of hers win the other auction for the sealed one for her. :embarrassed: So the sealed one shall be placed in a frame and become wall art. I should of known better..

I finished the Serdberg dungeon in Valkyrie Profile 2 on PlayStation 2 last night, and it took a surprisingly long time. The crystal puzzles are getting trickier, but I still suck at them. :( I keep wanting to direct them like in the first game. I got a couple more generic einherjar, and I also recruited Leone and Aluze (AKA Arngrim). The dragon orb wasn't in the dungeon, so now I have to head off to Villnore.

So the other night after I posted my post in this thread I returned to Metroid Prime Pinball and managed to get 12 artifacts, and then loads of specials, and then beat the artifact temple but then lost horribly on the final boss. I'll have to return, this game seems fun but very limited, and a lot easier than the other handheld pinball game i have - Sonic Pinball Party

I went through Villnore in Valkyrie Profile 2 on PS2, and it opened up two dungeons, one of which I think is optional. I'm working on the one with the waterfalls and ruins, which is a pretty confusing dungeon. I would've finished it, but I spent an HOUR doing one little crystal puzzle to reach a treasure chest. Holy crap was it freakin' ANNOYING. My boyfriend can do it easy as pie, but I find the controls so unintuitive. Hopefully I'll get more and more used to these crystals because I know there are even harder puzzles later in the game.
